We booked this hotel based on previous reviews and we were very impressed! We had a two bedroom Marquis Suite (floor 15) for our family of four and couldn't have been more delighted - it was absolutely huge! We had a double balcony and wonderful views of The Strip, which were amazing at night. The hotel has everything you will need, and is just one short walk away from the madness and busy Strip. The pool was wonderful to come back to after a busy day in the August heat! Room service was good ... Read more

Excellent place to stay. Off strip but within walking distance! For example, The walk to Starbucks/ CVS on the strip is about 7 minutes. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. We liked to have breakfast here, not a huge menu, but loved the simple hearty breakfast!

This is the only bad review I've ever written, so bear with me. We booked a room for 5 and were given a 'suite' with 1 queen sized bed and a sofa bed. We were told by the front desk that a queen bed could sleep 3 people but "the configuration is up to you". We asked for a rollaway bed. It cost $25. There was no bedding for the sofa bed, so we asked if housekeeping could make it up. When we came back after an evening out, the bed wasn't made and the front desk told us that it was because we had ... Read more

Having stayed at the hotel before, we knew it offered an excellent position close enough to the strip but with no smoking/casino. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, my wife said 'she could live here'. On my last visit my only gripe was the unengaging front of house staff and I can only say that the opposite applied this time with excellent customer service throughout. The Valets were also extremely helpful and friendly, we didn't have a car Don't be put off with it not being on the strip, ... Read more

As it's not on the strip this isn't overly expensive. Roomwise you get quite a lot. We had a decent sized well equipped kitchen, huge fridge, microwave, oven/hob, coffee maker. Good sized bedroom with comfy beds and decent amount of clothes storage space, decent seating area and a huge bathroom with whirlpool/jacuzzi bath. Good views of the strip. Staff were very helpful.

The hotel staff were very friendly and prompt with all of our request. They are also very flexible with early check in and late check out for a small fee of course but it was worth it. I'm writing this review on my first day at this hotel as I have to say it really is such a great find! Ok it's not on the strip which I realise some people wouldn't like in Vegas but for us it's perfect. Just got back from an amazing trip to Vegas, made better by staying at this hotel. Just a 5 min walk from the centre of the Strip just behind Bally's hotel. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment, which was huge and had the most amazing view of the Strip from our balcony and even the bed. Much smaller hotel than those on the Strip, which was really nice to chill and get away from the hustle of the Strip for a bit. Great chilled pool area and the free wine hour was a nice touch. The accommodations here are large and well equipped. The walk to the Strip in 100 degree weather, with no shade available, is a bit of a challenge, but the hotel itself was a welcome refuge from the hubbub of the Strip and the chaos of one casino after another. The bedroom and the bath were oversized and very comfortable and the living area with a sofa bed, dining area and kitchen made for a very nice stay. If you're looking for a great hotel a short distance (5 mins walk) from the strip, then this is a great option. Rooms are massive and well equipped, plus the staff are very friendly. At first, we were concerned about getting the room we reserved, but with the help of the front desk manager we got everything we wanted in both the style and location of the suite. We ate frequently at the restaurant, enjoying breakfast every day. Our waitress was exceptionally professional and had a wonderfully pleasant demeanor. Having owned and operated a small resort hotel, I know how fortunate they are to h... Read more

I have stayed at Platinum for all business trips to Las Vegas over the last ten years or so. The rooms are all suites with a full kitchen and bathroom with spa-type amenities well maintained and serviced. My stay is always comfortable and productive as well as relaxing when time is available. I recommend it highly and will return.

We booked a Strip View Princess Suite at the Platinum for a 6 night stay and were astounded at the value for money of this hotel. Our room was 1150 sq ft with every facility you could wish for - full kitchen, huge bathroom, great bedroom with king bed and a living room with TV, fireplace and washer/dryer combo. The hotel bar was very cosy, with great food options and drinks - if you did not feel like going to the strip. The walk to the strip and the monorail was very quick - 5/10 minutes - and... Read more

After a 10 hour flight from london i just wanted an easy checkin and relax. This is exactly what we got, easy checkin. Room amazing, more like a flat to be honest. Easy 10min walk to the strip main area. Just what was needed.. These are self contained apartments everything you can ask for. Massive shower, massive bath. Staff friendly. I will say if you like your cup of tea take t-bags with you, impossible to find in vegas..

This hotel was quiet with spacious suites. Very quiet and convenient. I resent the resort fee, but all hotels seem to have it. I would have liked a newspaper delivered to room to be included in reset fee. Otherwise an excellent experience.

I've stayed at the Platinum at least 8 times over the past 5 years, for both business and pleasure. I keep coming back because of the great value (huge suites, relatively inexpensive), and because the hotel has no smoking and no casino. It's a quiet oasis and nice escape from the insanity of the Strip. I rarely write reviews, but my experience today prompted me to leave this note. My family had checked out this morning at 10a, planning to spend the day on the town before an evening flight. ... Read more

Quiet hotel with very large rooms, balconies overlooking the strip and about a 5 minute walk from the Las Vegas Strip. The lack of a casino in the hotel is actually nice as the strip is an easy and safe walk. Staff is friendly.

Enjoyed three nights at the Platinum, located on Flamingo off the strip. A smaller hotel, (about 250 rooms) this is a hidden jewel! All the rooms are suites, each with a balcony you can sit out on and enjoy either strip or mountain views. We were lucky to be upgraded to the Princess suiteā?¦all 1150 square feet. It was very roomy with a full kitchen including a real refrigerator. Coffee is supplied daily. What a fun way to start off the day with coffee on the balcony enjoying the view. In ... Read more

I am not a fan of gambling or the Las Vegas Strip, so this hotel was perfect for me and my business associate. It's on a main thoroughfare, (E. Flamingo Rd) but it isn't very noisy. The hotel is clean and welcoming. All the employees were professional and kind. I really enjoyed my stay. I very much enjoyed the pool and it's later hours. It is a nice sized outdoor/indoor pool that wasn't crazy packed with people. You could soak in the hot tub or swim in the 4' deep pool. Soak in the rays and the... Read more

There are highs and lows to my recent stay. I will mention that I stayed in this hotel due to my husband's business at the SEMA show and his company had booked a large group of rooms, plus booked a reception at the hotel. First, the good. I had been traveling for a couple of weeks with my kids, so the washer and dryer in the room was a huge plus. I found the machine and dryer to be in excellent working order, unlike many hotel coin laundries. Plus these didn't require coins! The room was la... Read more

Last year I brought my two grandsons ages 7&8. My son (their father) had passed away and I was trying to cheer them up. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality condo unit we got for a very good rate. From the modern kitchen, jacuzzi tub, tiled huge shower, view of the strip, wonderful, friendly staff! I have been coming to Las Vegas for years and never knew about the Platinum. It's private yet close enough to walk to the strip, has a heated pool so if you go in the winter. Some units have wash... My wife and myself stayed here for three nights in October as part of a road trip, as it was our first time (and will be our last) in Las Vegas. We are not into the gambling side of Vegas but just had to see the sights on our trip so chose the Platinum for its off strip location. Car was parked for us and we were checked in smoothly to our lovely suite overlooking the pool and the back of the strip. I booked here out of desperation in all honesty. My travel company had gone into liquidation and my other hotel booking had been cancelled as a result, without the refund of my hotel, so my choices were limited. I chose the Platinum because it fitted my budget, and because of the size of the rooms. I couldn't have booked the same size of room for the price I got the Platinum for, so I'm so glad we did in the end. Loved the free wine at Happy Hour daily. I prefer the non strip view rooms since they face the mountains. I have stayed in both sides at different visits. The balcony is great for resting between shows and casino visits. Two casinos are within walking distance (next door) as is Ellis Island where the food is good and plentiful and not expensive. A couple of small maintenance issues were handled quickly by the staff.

Great hotel in a good location, only 5 minutes from the strip. Hotel suite was clean, spacious and had a lovely balcony. Pool area was fantastic for both adults and kits. Pina Colada Slushies were fantastic!!! Would have loved to have had laundry facilities at the hotel being there for 5 days. Hotel staff were lovely and even gave my husband a bucket of beer and cake for his birthday. Would stay again definitely.

We had a couple of maintenance issues, but it was addressed immediately and with great attitude. All personnel was very helpful and nice (no exceptions). We will definitely consider to stay at this hotel next time. Good location as well: It's only 5 min walk from the Strip. Thanks!
