Not a lamp that wouldn't turn on, a lamp that was shattered on the floor. I called the front desk about it and they said they would come up and 'fix it'. They never did. Just a crappy stay all around. Everyone was rude."

"Wow amazing! Had a very late check in...that was no problem cuz they sold my room and give me an awesome free upgrade! Chose this hotel only because my daughter is performing in one of their shows SURF the Musical. Did not want to have to leave the hotel. They have great restaurants and enjoyed the Mile mall. Only negative for me was the constant LOUD music in casino and most of the hotel. This hotel is geared for the younger hip crowd! Friendly staff and very clean. I recommend it for the young at heart!"

"This being my first time to Vegas, I don't have much to compare this hotel to. The staff was fine, but they need to figure out a better system for Valet. When we arrived, cars were backed up very far, thus making it hard for the valet's to keep up. The valet asked if we wanted help with our bags. We kept waiting for someone to come and help, and they never did, so we carried them to the room ourselves, which didn't start the stay on a good tone. The rest of the stay was nice. We LOVED KOI and enjoyed Peep Show. Make reservations for the restaurants and you will get better seats (the Open Table app is great for this!). I agree with other guests that it's a hotel geared more for the young. The music is very loud everywhere. I liked that it was in Miracle Mile Shops so that shopping was convenient. The coupon booklet that came with the booking was mainly for places at other hotels, so we didn't even use it. The rooms were nice. Somewhat small and not much room to put your stuff, but the bathroom was HUGE. We had a stand up shower, large jacuzzi tub, and the sink and toilet were separate, which is always nice. Our room was a 'Get Shorty' theme, which my husband loved. The hotel is in a good location and overall it was a good trip, but I think I'll try another hotel next time to see what else is available."

"I was in town for a convention and I chose this resort based on location, reviews, and fair price. When I arrived, not only did they give me a free upgrade with a room on a high floor overlooking the bellagion fountains (a must - especially at night from a high floor). Furthermore, besides the accomodations exceeding my expectations, the entertainment and stores in the miracle mile shopping plaza were amazing, especially as a retreat from the sweltering outdoor temperatures outdoors which exceeded 100 degrees during the week. over all, I highly recommend!"

"The Hotel was overall very nice, but the room was okay. the 1st room I was in was the HIPHOP, it was also nice wit hthe nice pictures on the wall and it had a glass case with a suit it in the full hiphop feel, but when I had to change to another room because the internet would not working. my second room didnt have the same HIPHOP feel, the pictures were missing on the wall and it just looked so plain. The bathroom wasnt as nice as the first one it had one sink instead of double sink like my first room. the next time that I stay here will only be in the suites in the other bldg."

"If it were possible to rate this property a zero, I would. Our experience there was a complete disaster from start to finish. We typically stay at the MGM, but decided to try something new for Christmas this year. We decided on PH due to its central location on the strip, as we also purchased Power Passes and wanted to be close to all the attractions. When we arrived from the airport we were shocked to find the entire lobby filled with people waiting to check in. Now, this being Vegas, we assumed the line would move quickly... wrong! We waited in line for nearly 3 hours because there were only two or three people working at the front desk. When we finally got to our room, we were delighted to find that we had been 'upgraded' to a larger room with a nicer view. Upon closer inspection we discovered that the bed was completely broken (slanted to one side) and the tiling in the bathroom had so many holes and chips in it that my boyfriend cut his foot immediately. Did I mention that the Bell Service also brought our bags up in three installments (about an hour long process)? Not wanting to venture back downstairs to deal with the ever-growing line, we decided to kick back and gamble a bit. We signed up for the Total Rewards player's club, which is a complete waste of time. After spending nearly $1200 in the casino, we looked forward to receiving some of the benefits we enjoy with the MLife player's club at MGM... wrong again! For all the trouble we went through and all the money we spent, we only accumulated 3 points from the 'Total Rewards' program. Disappointed we went back upstairs to try to get a little sleep in our slanted bed, only to be kept up by the screaming in the room next door. First thing in the morning, we went down to the front desk (after waiting in line again for nearly an hour), hoping to at the very least get our room changed. We were informed however that the hotel was fully booked, and the best they could do was send maintenance upstairs to do an overhaul on our room. Needless to say, we checked out that morning. We called the MGM MLife player's club, explained our situation, and they were more than happy to comp us two nights at our favorite hotel, $75 each in freeplay at the casino, and express comps to cover our food/beverages during our stay. Save yourself some time and money and just book with MGM!"

"I stayed at this hotel previously with above average service-only problem was that the Valet parking guy brought down our rental car and gave it to someone else!; For this trip, I paid 'in advance' through 'book-it' Christmas weekend trip meeting the wife's parents and here's where the 'nightmare' began...I was unable to travel due to the fact that my son (in the military) was able to come home from Christmas, so I sent the wife to meet her parents. 1-Check-in process was over 3 hours long-unacceptable; 2-When my wife attempted to check-in she was denied check-in because I was listed as the primary guest even though she was listed on the itinerary, so she had to charge the room (already paid for) on her own card; I contacted a Book-It Rep whom was very helpful and after spending 1 hour on the phone with him, said it was resolved and the wife's card would be credited for the first night. On Christmas Eve, my wife phoned to say that this still had not been resolved, so I spend an hour on the phone again...this time with another representative of Book-It who got things resolved finally with Planet Hollywood. Planet Hollywood only cleaned the room 1 night of the entire 3 nights stay (Gross-unacceptable); Planet Hollywood front desk workers were repeatedly 'rude' to my wife over the booking-unacceptable. My wife's mother was nearly 'electrocuted' by a Planet Hollywood hotel hair dryer and when she reported this to the front desk, they simply said thats 'OK' we will not charge you for the hair dryer (Unacceptable)!!! Finally, upon checkout there were erroneous phone charges on the bill and the wife's parents bill-unacceptable. I would expect these sort of things from a 3rd world country during Christmas time...not what I expect from what I thought was an american ICON hotel...lol...DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!"

"The rooms were nice...had a bad room upon check in...we had booked two rooms so since we saw 4 different rooms during our stay due to the move, we noted that the rooms were not stocked the same...one room had coffee maker, one room (out of 4) had floor lamp...that's how we knew to ask for floor lamps at the new room we got...was really dark in the rooms. Spacious...but the reservation said we had a food credit or resort credit and found out it was just a discount.t. Not in the hotel itself. Basically none of the many discounts or coupons were of use. Did use the free slot play and found out it was not redeemable because you had to be there when the Total Rewards desk was open so even though we spent the $40 initially on slots, we were not reimbursed on $40 losses because the desk is hardly open. noon till 9pm.
It was worth the $37 rate because in addition, there was no resort fee of $20 on each room. Nice vibe in the hotel and people are really nice...that's worth a lot!

"I have stayed at most of the hotels on the strip...Paris, Venitian, Harrahs, Ballys, Tropicana, Ceasars, Mirage, Treasure Island. All were good.
I had stayed at this hotel in the past and was impressed with the food and general attentiveness of the staff so I had no concerns with staying there again on this trip. All I can say is Oh Boy was I disappointed.
The hotel is listed as a 4 star, but shouldn't even be a 2 star. Simple things one expects from all hotels were not done. The room was not even vacuumed after our first night or cleaned properly (drinking glasses from the day before were left unmoved from the place last left by us and not replaced with clean ones, the hotel soap/shampoo, etc. were not replaced).
The food in the Buffet which was advertised as 'Voted Best In Las Vegas' turned out to be voted that honor years ago! It was mediocre at best, with the pastry, desserts, bagles and rolls appeared (and tasted) like they were bought frozen from Sams Club or Costco. The Lox was the cheapest that could be bought (very stringy and tasteless). Overall, it was a major disappointment. If you are searching for a really good Breakfast Buffet, try the Paris Hotel and the dinner buffet at the Bellagio is the best in Las Vegas.

"We stayed at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The trip went according to plan with no problems. The TV in the room didn't work but we called and they upgraded us. My return flight could have been bad due to a delayed flight but the rep at Continental/United was really helpful and re-routed me so that I was not stuck at the airport all day. I think next time I will pay a little more and get a suite at the Planet Hollywood Towers."

"I spent 2 days at PH, I enjoyed it immensely. Great hotel, great location. Everyone I dealt with was first class. Room was nice, in good repair, I loved the Hollywood theme, the large flat screen tv was a nice bonus, as was the in room safe. Loved gambling at the Pleasure Pit, the girls were gorgeous (distracting too though). The pool area looked nice, I wish the weather had been nicer. The Spice Market Buffet was probably the best buffet that I have been to in Vegas. Earl of Sandwich had great sandwiches too. Being directly connected to the Miracle Mile Shops was nice too, lots of good shopping available there. Location was excellent, walking distance to much of the strip. It was my first time using BookIt.com too, they easily had the cheapest rates I could find for this hotel (saved at least $20/night using them)."

"I was very disappointed with the pool compared to other Vegas hotels I've visited. The huge concrete area had many chairs but the two pool areas had very little room for lounge chairs. There were many unrented cabanas and double beds poolside, which left little room for anything else. I saw many unhappy guests come and go as there were no open spots without paying to rent one.
The lifeguards were a plus."

"I spent three days there. They were the best three days I have ever spent in Vegas. The staff was all very friendly. I locked myself out of my room twice and they helped me get back in rather quickly. The food there also very good. The bartenders day and night were very friendly. The place was very clean. My room was awesome. Huge bed and huge bathroom. "

"I like Planet Hollywood and always have however their prices are getting higher and they took the coffee makers out of the suites probably so that you have to buy that expensive coffee in all the coffee shops for those planning a stay there the cheapest coffee is a the Earl of sandwich about $2.00 but overall Planet Hollywood is a nice place to stay they have friendly staff and we always enjoy our stay there and they are usually our first choice for Vegas."
