"Overall it was a good hotel. What they don' t tell you is how far off the strip they are and their shuttle only runs to 8pm. If you want to explore the strip, your better off staying on the strip because you will spend alot of money on late night taxis. The clubs were great and staff was great and rooms nice and clean."

"We initially booked at the Palms Place for 4 nights but found that the room was located very far from the casino and Palms Place is very dark. We asked to be moved to Palms Tower and were moved with no questions asked. The Tower is very nicely decorated located only a few steps from the casino floor. The staff went beyond our expectations for any request. The buffet was wonderful for our breakfast and dinner plus they had pricing specials making it almost cheap to eat there. The casino itself is very nice but they did have some construction going on to update it even more. We actually won some money there too. The sports book is very nice too. Overall we would go back to the Palms and bring our friends. Great place to visit."

"I will never stay at the palms again... When I first arrived I was put in a room that had no running water... I was later put into another room the whole time that I was there the housekeeper never cleaned the room and when I complained about it the staff acted like they could care lest ..it has been two days since my return and I still have yet to hear anything from the manger..it was the worst stay of my life ..I WILL NEVER STAY AT THE PALMS"

"My husband & I booked a last-minute trip. I wasn't familiar with The Palms but tried it because it was reasonable. I nervous after reading other reviews but didn't have any issues. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was recently remodeled and extremely clean. The TV was older but so what it worked. I don't go on vacation to watch TV. There was construction during the week and they said we wouldn't hear it but we did. It was during the day and we were out so it didn't bother us a bit. The food at the buffet was really good with a very diverse selection. Better than others we tried. The downside is it is further from the strip than I thought. A shuttle is provided every 30 minutes. I would have a car if I did it again. The only thing I would make people aware of is it is a young crowd. The clubs are only for people who like loud terrible music and not being able to talk to anyone. The pool parties (Fri.-Sun.) play the same obnoxious techno music so loud you cannot talk to the person next to you. Couldn't enjoy the pool on Sun but music was better the rest of the week. Spa was awesome, especially the Hamam. The food court was a nice touch. We had an awesome time and I would stay again. Thank you!"

"The Palms Place was a nice hotel. Overall experience was wonderful. Hotel room is modern and 2 big screen TV were perfect! Non-smoking hotel worked for me and kids. Pool was fun for my boys.
The only dispappointement was there was no walkway from hotel front entrance to the parking structure. The only walkway is to cut across the valet traffic and it's extremely dangerous. I don't know how was the traffic flow designed. something for the Palms Place to think about.
Other than the walkway issue, we liked the Palms Place very much."

"we stayed at the palms and this is only a review of the palms hotel not Palms place which is great. First the staff: Staff was not friendly and i felt like I was inconveniencing them when i would ask a question. They never ask how my stay was, when we saw staff members around the casino they would avoid greeting us.
The Hotel room: Regular room nothing special a little messy, They were doing construction in the room bellow us and they started work at 7am, well if you have ever stayed in Vegas you know that people tend to sleep in after a night on the town, the noise from the workers lasted most of the day, they really shouldn't rent a room out above a construction zone. We really wanted to use the pool but it rained the first day and they never opened the pool even when it stopped raining for hours and the sun cleared up they wouldn't let guest relax in the spa. Overall i would not stay here when there are so many other places to stay in Las Vegas."

"When arriving I was told my room was not that good and with the renovation I would likely here some of the construction. I was also charged an additional $20 a day resort fee. Neither of these things were disclosed when I purchased the room on this website. Also the Playboy club is closed at the hotel and I thought some of the employees were a bit rude or snobbish. Also, they offer a bus to and from Ceasars Palace but they only leave once an hour and they stop at 8 p.m. -- not very convenient for Las Vegas hours. I also heard the Maloof's sold the hotel/casino to someone else and own a mere 2% stock. which is why is has gone down or maybe a reason for it to improve. Next time I will stay somewhere else, and on the strip and with less attitude."

"I took my son to Vegas for his 21st Birthday. When we arrived at the Palms Hotel, we asked to combine our rooms into one suite. The young lady checking us in was very gracious and allowed us to move into the Celebrity Suite for an additional daily fee. We felt it was reasonable enough to spend a little more and it was well worth it. The room was wonderful and spacious, it made my son feel like a 'celebrity!'
We went to the Friday 21 and over pool party and Jazzy Jeff was the DJ - needless to say, the party was THE place to be! It was a great experience and although the extra $20 daily resort fee was a little over the top - we had a good time and would definitely stay at the Palms again. They even have a full IMAX theatre!!"

"The Strip shuttle is a rip off, stops at 8 p.m. In Vegas.
They won't give you tapwater at the bar and the pool shuts down at 6.
They charge for using the business center.
If you want to get nickel and dimed, stay here. But otherwise, just find a deal on the strip or at least Rio, which has a shuttle that goes til 1."

"The Palms Place Studio Suite was amazing. The room was gorgeous with a full kitchen including its on ice maker and dishwasher. The bathroom was fabulous with a rainfall shower and large Jacuzzi tub with turbo jets. For a romantic trip to Vegas I highly recommend this room. The room had a cozy fashionable contemporary design and the bed was beyond comfortable. For just $90 a night with a $20 a night resort fee which you pay at the casino it was absolutely worth it!"

"Arrived at The Palms only to find out they require a $100 per night security deposit, which I've never heard of before at a resort. So what does this tell you ? That most people who stay there trash their rooms? Not a good sign. Wish we had known about this in advance, maybe it was in the fine print somehow when we booked this package. The Palms was clean, but thats the only good thing I have to say about it. If you plan to go to the pool, be prepared for loud blasting music which drifts up to your room too...not exactly relaxing. Also, plan on being 'searched and your purse or pool bag searched' before you go into the pool by a big Guido looking guy. They wouldn't let us in because my daughter had mints in her purse and mints aren't allowed at the pool . What the heck ? Its back to the The Palazzo for me. should have known better......."

"Beautiful place to stay for the price. I would definitely stay again if I wanted to stay off the strip as there is so much to do here. The only downfall was that each room had a beautiful big balcony that overlooked the strip, but the balcony is locked! They don't tell you this at check-in, so immediately you call the front desk to find out that they are privately owned, so you are not allowed on the balcony. Total bummer when everything else is just gorgeous! My friends and everyone else I met there said they called as well because they were not made aware of it either. Other than that, I loved it and would definitely recommend!"

"One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Unless you're staying in one of the super exclusive suites, then be prepared for a less than spectacular room. The walls are paper thin. And I mean seriously, paper thin. I could sit on my bed and hear full out conversations from the adjacent room as if they were sitting next to me. I contacted the Front Desk about this and all they could do was take off the Resort Fee for the first night. Granted, I was there for 4 nights and had to deal with the sound/noise for all four nights. The shuttle stops running at 8pm. Do they not realize this is Vegas and most things don't get started until after 8pm?? Overall, just a bad experience. The AC in the room barely kept it cool, the water pressure and shower head was weak - with water also spraying out of the bath faucet while the shower was going. Again, horrible hotel. Nothing like the pictures and advertisements. Plus, I noticed that a lot of places didn't charge a Resort Fee. Save your money and stay somewhere else."

Casino, pool, restaurants, clubs, and shopping. I loved the Vegas strip but didn't see another hotel I would have preferred to stay. "WOW is all I can say!!!! Your better off staying across the street! Ok so the girl who checked us in had no personality and acted like she was to good to be helping us, so it doesn't stop there, we get ready to hit up some tables to play bj but 1st went to go play some video poker at the bar & the bartender ignored us the entire time when I finally stopped him and ordered a few drinks he tried charging us, he said we needed to gamble more money for free drinks? management REALLLLLY needs to whip the chains on these bitter, unhappy people who are representing the palms, part of their training should be a manners, classy, respect, & how to treat people class!!! But wait it doesn't stop there, we all woke up with bumps ALL over I told the receptionist at checkout (another bitter person) about the possibility of bed bugs & she did not seem surprised didn't offer a apology, a discount NADA!!! All she said was I'll let management know and asked me if I wanted to file a report wth security YEAH I DO!!!! Our room number was 8105 at the palms tower DO NOT STAY IN THAT ROOM!!!! Another thing I found hilarious was that she also stated 'oh the good thing is that tower will be renovated soon' REALLLY? How does that help my situation now??????? Then of course they still charged me for the resort fees & a ups package that I had delivered there, what a joke I can't believe they charge you for a ups package!!!! I will bet my life they did nothing with that report I filled out, the security guy didn't seem to care was just doing his job on taking a report but did try pushing me to just make do a hotel complaint but I said no I will fill out a report, I have a dr.s appointment today for I still have these bumps, now they may not be bed bugs but we did get something from there beds which were DISGUSTING, I pulled off the fitted sheet to see pee stains, crumbs, big dark old blood marks & pubic hair!!!!!! GROSS!!!!!"

"I went there for an overnight trip to Vegas and found myself disappointed. The room was suppose to be a non smoking room and smelled of smoke so much that it made me a little sick. The lights in the living room were broken so I called the front desk and asked to switch and they never moved me. When I complained about it the next morning when checking out, my husband and I were told well you should have said something. WE DID! Is calling the front desk not enough anymore? We've gone to Vegas a lot and this is by far the worse stay I have ever experienced. Never again."

"I was truly impressed with the Hotel, and all its admintities. the place was extremely clean and ventilated. They have all the right sevices for your needs. The staff was courtesy and caring. The steakhouse was to die for. But when it was time for fun the Ghost bar Day Club rocks!!!! Dj's Sex Panther Killed it. I never thought that there performance of raising the roof could be topped. But I was wrong. At night they performed in the Moon Lounge and blew it up. So much they open the roof to see the stairs. I think the word is 'Amazing' and i will reconmend this place to everyone."

"If you are over 30, do not stay here. We requested a smoking room and did not get it although there were ashtrays located by the elevator on our floor! Room keys had to be replaced THREE times due to them being demagnetized. Last day we were there, Housekeeping didn't bother to clean our room stating ' we could clean it at any time of day.' It was 8:30 AT NIGHT.
If you register for a Casino Card... get the rules straight. We had accumulated 1500 points and nobody bothered to let us know that we had earned 2500 points in free slot play.
The weather was beautiful - 80's on the last day -- and the pool had been closed the entire week. Where were we supposed to go to enjoy this Sun?
Nightclubs do not open til l030 or ll:00 -- where long lines formed prior to opening. Again - all in their 30's. Not a place for retirees! .....
There is no real lobby to speak of - no place to sit and 'people watch' if you enjoy this pasttime. Too far removed from the Strip to walk to Las Vegas Blvd - SHuttles run every l/2 hr for 'shopping' at the Forum Shops. But, of course.. the one we wanted 'just left'...... No, would not come back. PS Typical bathtubs that DO NOT DRAIN. No coffee makers for those of you who enjoy morning coffee."

"We stayed at the Palms hotel/casino. Our room had recently been renovated and was spotless. The decorator hasn't a clue about lighting necessary to read/study
by. The night stand lamps were nice but too short to read a book while sitting up in bed. There was only 1 desk chair and a lounge with an ottoman. Two more casual chairs, for visitors, would be nice. Obviously, everyone is expected to be in the casino, most of the time. Smoke levels in the casino and the hotel were uncomfortable compared with the air of the Venetian. Bus tours: Very long! Drivers
are on duty 15 hours or longer. As a retired airline Captain, I considered that to be
a questionable safety issue. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

"The hotel was cool but it wasn't crack up to what I thought it would be. The hot water ran out after one person took a shower. I order my sister cake and had it send to her she recieved it the day after her bday. I was so angry an the staff was very very rude. The clubs was on point. I inquired to check out the suites and no one called nor emailed me I had to go to front desk severals times before I was able to get a tour. The staff seems angry If they had better staff I would rat this hotel five star but between the staff being rude and no hot water I wouldn't return back to this hotel."

"Rude staff when I arrived which was not a good way to start off my trip. The restaurants inside the hotel were overpriced for the quality of the food, the staff at the restaurants were not nice at all either. To me when staying anywhere customer service is first in my book, and this place does not have good customer service what so ever. The rooms were mediocre, for what the standard price is. I also tried calling the front desk twice to ask them something and had to attempt two times before I got a hold of someone. Wil not be re visiting the palms again!"

"Recently booked thru Bookit.com to stay @ the Palms. Checked into a dated room with a shower head that sucked. Noisy, noisy, guests screaming languages I havent heard before for 1/2 hour at a time, including 4AM. Breakfasts closes at 1030AM on Saturday? WTF? Dealers at craps tables were as entertaining as watching paint dry. Best Roulette Dealer Ever ='Marcy- An incredibly personal Italian who looked my Aunt Gloria. Located off strip so cabs are expensive when needing to go places. Heard the pub bus system rocks but didnt have time to look into it. Moon was jammin, but I was preyed on by some heavyset bachelorette chicks ate my arm off. 40$ comped VIP passes for hotel guests? Another WTF! Otherwise, It worked and its Vegas, so if your that worried about little things, STAY HOME! Thats what makes it a 'let your hair down kind of a place!' Prob wouldnt go back to Palms, When I just have been to Encore, Vdara and Cosmo where I would not have a single complaint/."

"This hotel is very nice, room was large and had a nice view of the strip. Alize restaurant is fantastic! Buffet breakfast was very good. My only complaint would be the $15.00 resort fee that is added to your room. They still charge extra for internet, they charge extra if you want to use the fitness center, the pool wasn't open, and the bottles of water in the room were $8.00 each! So, $15.00 for what? Well, they do give you a credit for a drink at a casino bar. In my opinion, the resort fee is a total ripoff. We spent $300 for dinner at Alize, and no complaints there at all. But $15.00 for nothing really left a sour note. I'll stay elsewhere next time."

"My boyfriend and I went to Las Vegas for the first time and stayed at the Palms Casino Resort for 4 nights. I must admit the beginning of our trip wasn't so pleasant because of the rude staff we encountered when we checked in. They changed our reservations to a Deluxe double suite from a Deluxe King. Then when we informed them of the mistake a girl at front desk had a horrible attitude problem, snatching papers from my boyfriends hand, etc. She wasn't pleasant to deal with at all; she told us they have a first come first serve rule, saying the reservation is not a guarantee. We stayed in the deluxe double the first night, it was okay but the mattresses were sunk in the middle and made the night stay very uncomfortable. So the next morning we went to the front desk to change rooms to our original reservation. A gentleman named Robert Hopcus greeted us and was super nice and showed the best hospitality. We told him our complaint and he corrected it right away, he even gave us direct access passes to the spa and clubs in the hotel. We finally were able to enjoy the amenities of the hotel at that point. The tub has a jetted spa; pool area is really nice and relaxing. The spa was awesome. We went to the Ghostbar, that was a lot of fun, but we heard club Moon was even better unfortunately we didnt make it there. The food/restaurant selection wasn't so good though. I believe we ate Panda Express at least once a day :-(. If you dont make it to the buffet before breakfast/lunch ends youll be waiting an extra hour to eat. The hotel is a little far from everything else, we had to catch a cab almost every day, but the hotel does offer shuttle service to the Strip at 10am and 5 pm. Its a nice hotel if you want to be away from everything, but next time we will definitely stay on the strip or seek better transportation arrangements."

"Had a great time in Vegas! We were upgraded to Palms Place which was very nice but quite a walk daily. The Resort is not on the strip but there is a shuttte twice a day from the Palms and every twenty minutes or so from Gold Coast that will take you to the strip. There's also public transportation. Be sure to visit one if not all of the clubs. Overall would return and definitely recommend The Palms.
BTW: Daily breakfast for 2 was nice as well."

I was also a little disappointed that the hotel did not have a shuttle to get from the hotel to the strip. Lucky there is a bus stop near the hotel, and for $5 a day, we used the bus to get everywhere!

I was also a little disappointed that the hotel did not have a shuttle to get from the hotel to the strip. Lucky there is a bus stop near the hotel, and for $5 a day, we used the bus to get everywhere!
Some of the bartenders in the casino was a little rude to us while we were ordering but other then that, everything was great.

"We were upgraded to the Palm Place. The room was really nice but it is so far from everything else. You have to take the sky walk. Would have liked to be closer to the casino, clubs, and food. The pool staff was awesome. I was having an allergic reaction and the life guard went and bought me an antihistamine!"

"I was very impressed on Wednesday with the maid service. After they cleaned up we came back to our room and everything was neat, clean and organized. The maid had put down a towel on the bathroom counter and laid all our bathroom stuff on it. It was just really nice of that person that took the time to go the extra mile. I wish more hotels had employees that were so considerate. I hope that this person will be recognized for doing such a nice job. it was room 5102 oct. 13. Thanks for such a nice stay!

"Book it will be the site I use for travel. I had a great stay! I paid extra for an upgraded room and it was hands down the best room I've ever had!!!! I was almost a lil upset that I barely stayed in the room because of work smh. Great site and the palm place was a cool place....flight was cool too ....everything was so smooth and simply one of my best trips even tho it was local in Vegas."

"My husband and I have not been to Vegas since 1992, and things have really changed. We found this deal with Bookit and we were absolutely thrilled. The hotel is not part of the strip, but not too far away. We enjoyed it since there was a shuttle right across the street to take you places. The hotel was very nice, our opinion a 5-star, very clean, big casino, lots of eating places, just great place to stay! We will be going back next year!!"

"We got a good deal for this hotel, but I probably will not stay here again. The rooms are pretty basic and have a musty smell. The hotel staff was less than friendly. One of the managers was very accommodating and was able to give us an upgrade to the fantasy tower to a nicer room, but aside from a flat screen tv and a fresher smelling room, the room is on the basic side. This hotel/ casino is not close to the strip so plan on a 20 minute walk or 12 dollar taxi ride to the strip."

"It was very hard to get a drink while sitting at the slot machines. It seemed like the waitresses did not care, were not helpful. Also, I believe it is unfair to ask guests of yours to pay for cover charges at the clubs at The Palms. Other guests from other hotels were laughing at the fact that us as guests of The Palms had to pay cover to get into the clubs, while at their hotels they did not. Those were my only complaints of this hotel. I did very much enjoy the hotel, it was very clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job."

"Great price for round trip airfare plus 3 nights stay at Palms Resort in Las Vegas. Only catch, airfare thru Spirit Airlines which charges extra for picking a seat, a carry-on bag, and/or checked baggage. Example, my wife & I cost $96 for the two of us in airfare, and our 1 checked bag each, plus picking an aisle seat was an additional $172! The package deal did not seem very good after taking that into account. My problem, but won't happen again."

"We stayed at the Palms Casino. It was an exciting place to stay. The staff was very professional. Actually sat at the table with 3 stars and took pictures at the Luxor with Carrot Top. "My spouse and I go to Vegas every September and have stayed at many hotels from Ceasar's to the Golden Nugget. This year we chose the Palms because it was the best price for an upscale hotel. Our first impression was not great. It was dark, loud hip hop music and lots of 20 yr olds (we're 50). Our opinion changed. Our room was in Palms Place which is actually separate from the casino, it was very quiet and quite comfortable. The pools were not dramatic but very inviting and we never fought a crowd. The 20 year olds apparently sleep until 2 pm. The service was impeccable. The buffet was great, Simons , although expensive, was terrific. I even went to the Ghost club just to take in the fantastic view. If you want something without hip hop and rap, Gold Coast and the Rio are right across the street. We had a great time and I would recommend this hotel."

"My newlywed husband and I couldn't wait to get out to Vegas to celebrate our recent nuptials. Although we had a fantastic time in Vegas our decision to stay at The Palms is one we regret. The accommodations were very outdated, the staff was not accommodating, and we had a horrible experience with one of their casino bartenders. We were caught off guard with the resort fees ($16 a day) that didn't even include a guaranteed shuttle to the strip or Internet (which costs $15/day/computer). There was an old Subway sandwich in our fridge when we arrived, we called for towels one day and never received them even though they said they would be right up and when my husband tried to cash out credits at the casino bar and the machine wasn't working, the bartender was extremely rude to us when we asked for her help. Specifics around free credits we received on our Player's cards were not explained and when we tried to use them could not and the TV in our room looked like it was from 1982. We rented a car to drive to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon one day. The Hoover Dam was great. Luckily we stopped at the Nevada Welcome Center on our way to the Grand Canyon only to find out that the directions given to us by The Palms concierge were totally off. We ordered two drinks at the hotel's pool that totaled $37. Luckily we always find a way to have a good time. We did LOVE their breakfast buffet and their spa and massage staff that we took advantage of while we were there were extremely nice. I have always wondered about the people who have time to write negative reviews about services and products but now know what it feels like to be so unimpressed that you feel others really need to know what they are getting into before they book. "

"My friend and I stayed at the Palms Casino Resort. I thought it was very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
I was a bit surprised to hear about the 'Ditch Fridays' when we arrived at the pool on Friday morning. I feel that the woman at the Front Desk should have informed us of this on Thursday night when we checked in.
The Front Desk folks were not very accommodating or knowlegeable when we asked about a shuttle back to the airport. I feel the Front Desk staff could be trained better and be more attentive. for example, in the case of the shuttle, they could have told my friend and I that a cab would only cost a few dollars more instead of telling us that we should have made a rservation 24 hours in advance for the shuttle.
I would only recommend the hotel to someone of the younger generation, unless they didn't care about the pool parties and the fact the casino is off the strip.
I have to say for a party type casino it was a nice quiet room. I did love teh Aveda products too!"

"Very very friendly staff at The Palms. Super clean. There were several pool parties we didn't go to because we weren't into the party scene but went to the other pool. Great place for the party people and still nice for us less into the party scene. We spent more on cabs then we planned because it was the easiest way to get around since it's a little ways off the strip. It was great fun. "

"It was my wife's birthday celeberation that we decide to go to Vegas to see a show. We arrived and need to get the ticket from the front desk. The staff, Franchisca, at the front desk try to assist me to get the show tickets but thethe second ticket did not print out on the day we suppose to go. Franchisca offer to contact bookit.com and tried to get the second voucher to print out. She and I were on the phone over 3 hrs but could not print out the voucher. The agent primesed that we can go tomorrows show. I agreed and following day i printed the vouchers at the front desk and went to the show but the voucher date was still same day i suppose to so the box office did not honor the tickets. Contact bookit.com again and talk to agent on the phone over an hour and he could not make the box office to accept the vouchers. The agent told me that he will make sure we can go to the show follow ing day. Following day. We had same problem the voucur date did not changed so I had to ask the front desk staff to assist me. That day other staff, Robecca, assisted me and we again was on the phone over 3 hours and she did not even made any face and helped me to get the tickets. The show was worlth the effort for 3 days. "We just recently stayed at Palms Place---a high rise hotel connected to the main hotel and casino of the Palms, which is right off the strip. We asked for a high level room and were given a room on the 53rd floor. The view of the city was amazing! So was the room! We were very pleased (most nice hotels in Vegas have a resort fee) Be aware that there is a resort fee daily. Palms Place was private and has easy access to the main casino and hotel. Don't even bother with the free continental breakfast at Simons. It consists of three small slices of pumpkin bread and a not so very good crossaint. Any other breakfast items that you may want to purchase are very expensive. ($6.00 for a cup of coffee etc.) As far as efficiency goes the hotel did a pretty good job. There was two small lights and a globe light that were out in our bathroom. We asked housekeeping if they could have it fixed. It did not get done unitl we informed the front desk. When we returned from an outing they had fixed all three lights. Over all we had a great time during our stay at Palms Place!"
