"This was a surprise trip planned for my husband and our first trip to Las Vegas!
Check in was a bit slow but manageable. We were a bit disappointed in the room. Nothing like the pictures. Old box TV, linens are outdated; no bathtub - but the bathroom was updated with nice tile; however no place to put your foot when shaving your legs!! :)
Lots of places to eat; we only ate in 1 and the food was very good and price was good. All in all, it was a fine place to stay for our first trip."

"I spent one night at the Palace Station during a recent business trip to Las Vegas. I chose it because it was a major hotel, the night was inexpensive and the rooms looked fresh and clean. Check in was slow. I've had faster experiences with the TSA. While the hotel appeared a good deal at $35.99 for a deluxe room in the main tower the pointless resort fee of $16 was a surprise. The Palace Station is no resort and you get nothing for your fee. Even the internet costs an extra $5.99 on top of that at its slowest speed. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but it had no tub and the walls are paper thin. The guests in the room next door kept me up all night with what I not consider an unreasonable amount of noise. The problem was that the walls are just too thin. My room had an ajdoining door which shook every time the door to the room next door was opened or closed. My stay included 2 more individuals and 2 more rooms and we all had a similar experience."

"First of all, I learned that there were hidden charges buried deep in the fine print of the online deal I purchased, causing the rate to go up $15/night for 'cleaning fees.' The girl at the front desk was unpleasant. The room was shabby and the plumbing was bad -- the shower head squirted water out of its fixture in all directions."

"We were going on a quick trip form UT to SanDiego and back. We broke up the drive (with four little ones) by staying a night each way in Vegas. We were really just looking for a clean place to sleep for the night. And that's what we got. The rooms are small, but clean. On our way there our room was on the first floor north side of the older part. The laundry carts were being rolled around and we were near the main entrance and so it was noisy. The temperature is controlled by thermostat, rather than the fan unit- so we couldn't drown it out with that. On the way back we were on the west side and it was much more quiet.
We went to the buffet one night, and the line was surprisingly long. Luckily we found out from people in line that we needed to go to the rewards counter to get the discount-otherwise we would have paid a higher price- and once we got in we were very disappointed with the buffet.
The staff were quick to bring a portable crib and when I realized I'd left a jacket there, when I called they had it for me and shipped it to me for free."

"the rooms is ok for what i paid.. but what's not ok is the buffet, my whole family went there on the 1st if january and the food is somewhat dry, and always run out of food.. It's not worth it for what i paid for ($12.99), and on top of that they charged my 6 yr. old $12.99 which i think it's completely a rip off, i understand that they want to take advantage to raise there buffet price because it's new years day but charging $12.99 for a kids meal is wrong!!! i probably would stay here again but definitely not eat at the buffet..

"The 'deal' was still a deal if you count the resort fees in on regular rates. Would have booked somewhere else possibly if the same fees applied. I stayed in the courtyard room, which was older but clean.
There is little sound insulation, so noise was an issue (depending on your neighbors). The staff was nice and friendly."

The room was clean, roomy, & very large for the price. It met my germ-a-phobe girlfriends standards so we were doing just fine. The breakfast in the Feast Buffey was wonderful! My only complaint was how much of a maze we had to go thru to find our room in the Courtyard Suites."

"Ok. Where to start. Well, my trip to Las Vegas was for the anuall Star Trek Convention held at the Rio All-Suites Hotel. My travel package booked me in the Palace Station hotel, which was not a bad hotel at all for the price I had paid. One thing to remeber if you coming for the convention, is that if you are not planning on renting a car, and plan on walking everywhere, plan on doing a A LOT of walking. There is a lot of shuttling you will have to do, but keep in mind that the shuttle leaving the strip back to the hotel does not run frequent enough to catch the coresponding shuttles on time. Plan on walking at least three miles a day, if you don't want to spend the money for cabs. If I were to come back for the Star Trek convention, it is a very good idea to get a hotel closer to the event."

If you are staying here or anywhere near here a Visit to oyster Bar is a must. It may be a 2 long wait, but you will thank yourself, not only for the great food, but the great people you meet in line. Having dined there 10 or times, it is always a treat.
I don't like the resort fee, but it does allow you to not have to rent a car, so it is worth the money."

"We booked this room at Palace Station thinking we were getting a good deal during an expensive weekend in Vegas. However, the experience was more akin to staying in a motel than a Vegas casino. Small rooms, motel-level amenities and quality, inconvenient location... just an unsatisfying experience in general. You'd be better off paying a little more and staying in a real hotel!"

"My husband and I went to Vegas in July 2012 and decided to stay at the Palace Station. Our purpose for staying there was because of the rate, the transportation provided and location to the strip. When we went to the 'pick-up' destination at the airport, a woman was sitting there and informed us that she had been waiting for over an hour and a half and the shuttle never showed up. We waited for another 20 minutes, which at that point decided to split a cab to the hotel. We checked into our room which was supposed to be a luxury tower suite....NOT! Don't get me wrong, the room was nice and clean, but since it was considered a 'suite' we at least expected a small fridge, microwave and even a small coffee pot. This was not the case. Also, the cleaning lady had told us to leave our door open because she did not have a key to our room! I was surely hesitant about that, but I made sure our valuables were locked up in the safe and didn't leave the room until she came in.
On another note, the shuttle service provided to and from the strip was on time. The only thing is that it stops running at 11:30 pm; so if you want to stay on the strip all night...you will have to catch a cab back which can range from $10-12. My husband and I spent a pretty penny catching cabs back and forth from the hotel to the strip.
If you are looking for a place to crash without spending much funds and don't have plans to venture much on the strip after hours, then this place is for you."

"The rooms abouve the casino, I hear, are nice. However, we were put in the 'courtyard'. The rooms there are the slums of Las vegas...motel 6 or econolodge are BIG steps up. Matress appros 25 yrs old. Both double beds made sping sounds as you moved around...horribly uncomfortable. Peeling paint, lousy shower almost unusable and loud as the interstate runs right outside your window. Highly unrecommended!! Having said that, the room service, although slow, was good quality. DO NOT STAY IN THE COURTYARD!

"This is our 4th stay at Palace Station. We find the staff and amenties to our liking. We needed extras from housekeeping and were provided immediately. We experience difficulty with the wi-fi access in some areas of the facility as well as our 3g access. It was nice to have the concierge print our flight tickets. The shuttle we did not use because of timing to and from the airport but found a reasonable Airline Limo Shuttle that at 'over 50' discount. So the 4 of use found that the wifi and shuttle not being used cost us $14.99 'hotel service fee' a little unreasonable...but we did use the pool about 4 hours a day for 5 days...We found the restaurant variety wonderful and good for the price. Room was clean and shower hot...bed a little soft but that's just a personal preference. It is out of the way, but we like it that way. It's a homey hotel/casino and that's what we like."

THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. PRICED REASONABLE . ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THE SHUTTLE IF YOU BOOK A PLANE CALL AND CHECK SHUTTLE TIMES THEY DO NOT RUN BEFORE 6 AM OR AFTER 1030 PM TO AND FROM AIRPORT .ONLY RUN Q2 HOURS. TO AND FROM THE STRIP. IF THEY COULD RUN MORE OFTEN THAT WOULD MAKE IT THE PERFECT GETAWAY ! WE MISSED THE RIDES BOTH TO AND FROM THE AIR PORT 33.00 FROM AIRPORT 19.00 TO AIRPORT FOR A CAB BUT WERE CHARGED A HOTEL SERVICE FEE EVERY DAY 16.79 WITH TAX . SO CHECK TI OUT FIRST. "Had previously stayed on Strip ourselves and thought we'd try the Palace since we were bringing our adult son, therefore a second room and additional expenses. Hotel was over booked due to a sporting competition, so our rooms were upgraded from courtyard to the tower. Rooms clean, staff courteous and accommodating. Mattresses were comfy, Linens were changed each day. Carpeting showed a little age.. especially outside the bathroom (which may be due to repeated wet feet in that area), but feel that was more a poor choice in a pattern that showed wear than anything. Could hear some hall noise, but nothing from adjoining rooms and the A/C was working fine. Room was set for 72, but we're used to sleeping cooler, so we had it at 64 all week and no problems. Son did have one issue with housekeeping not finishing his room one day, but that may have been due to the fact that he came back while they were cleaning, and they may have forgotten to go back and finish. Can't beat the buffet prices! $5 for breakfast and $10 for dinner with players card? We had previously paid $15 for breakfast on the strip! Nice variety, although it was pretty much the same each day. Omelet station moved quickly. The Grande Cafe... Service was good, but it took a little longer than we're used to to get our food, but it was always good tasting and plentiful. We mistakenly ordered 2 orders of pancakes one morning and when order arrived (5 plate-sized pancakes each) we realized we could have split an order.. and we are good eaters! They also have a bakery at the Cafe and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places on the strip if you wanted a muffin or other dessert to bring back to your room. Having a 7-11 across the parking lot was helpful for bringing pop, water and snacks to the room. We used the shuttle most days and nights to get to the strip and they were on time. We did take a taxi back from the strip and drop off point at the fashion mall a few times because we had tickets for late shows and could not make the last shuttle back, but the taxi was only about $10 from the mall. All in all, a great Value"

"No buffets included at price paid. Suggest you always include buffet with daily price charged. Insufficient heat in room. Complaining did not help (twice) service department did not respond favorible, but complained about me complaining. Cold air came out even with thermostat turned up. I just asked for 72 degrees. Food well prepaired. Rest of staff very good. Slots were fair--almost won. Transportation was good, timely and dependable."

"Our stay at the Palace Station was very good in every way. The hotel staff was very accomodateing and very freindly. The hotel itself is very nice. I would be very happy to return to the Palace Station the next time I am in Las Vegas"

"The only problem I ran into was taking the shuttle to/from the Strip. We were told to gather 10 minutes prior to schedule time. Luckily I was outside the hotel 1/2 hour prior to the scheduled time because the shuttle filled and many people were left behind. This had also happened the night before on the return trip to the hotel from the Strip but the evening driver called for another shuttle and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for transportation back to the hotel. The shuttle ride to the airport went well for me."
