"I booked a Pyramid Deluxe with 2 Queen beds. I was put in the East Tower which was quiet, but a long walk from the lobby. The room was adequate but I wouldn't stay there again. The lighting was terrible, the view was the roof, there was no mini bar, no newspaper and the room was 'tired'. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, but overall I was disappointed with the Luxor, expecting a 'classier' experience. I wouldn't stay there again."

"First time to Vegas and I would definitely book again and come back to vegas. Prior to our trip I had one friend say the resort was not too good and in a not so good location. Another said it was alright.
Well I would say Luxor was in a great spot. yes it is on the southern end but so what, it is connected to Exaclibur and Mandalay Bay. We walked the entire strip from Luxor to Stratosphere(VERY VERY NORTH END of Strip) Everything is within walking distance. It is nice McD's is in Luxor cheap food for someone on a budget since the other restaurants inside luxor are a tad pricey but you can walk around to find shops for food and drink deals to. Great environment family friendly wish I was still there!"

"Enjoy much of the lower end of the strip from this clean and pleasant hotel. It has seen better days, but its useful life is being extended by a caring and helpful staff, and honestly, the pricing is reasonable, even with the $18/day 'resort charge' and the ever present 12% tax. It must have been quite the place in its day, but will still provide a good value for your vacation dollar. DON'T MAKE THE SAME ERROR I DID... I foolishly ignored the coupon book they handed me upon check in, and spent several hundred dollars on activities that would not have cost nearly so much if I had actually reviewed their offers. Enjoy your visit, I did."

"Loved the price, loved the trip, loved the shows that I went to see. Only problem was the hotel put me on the 2nd floor where I had a nice view of the pool but there was construction going on pool at the pool and on the 5th floor. I was awaken every morning at 5am on the dot and that sucked! There were no signs indicating that construction was going on and when I checked in the women never said anything about construction. I thought that was poorly miss handled. The rooms are a little dated and there is no WiFi, you have to plug in a cable to your laptop to get internet so you can move freely at all. You have to pay for your print outs with a credit card its not free either. Other than that my stay was good and my birthday/vacation was great. Going back in 2014 but staying at a different hotel."

"The Luxor in general is a good hotel/casino. The main entry, casino, and general common area is well maintained and clean. The theme is nice. Only downsides were that the rooms in the pyramid were kind of old and worn and when we went to the buffet at about 7pm, the food was kind of old and dry (maybe we just went at a bad time?). The rooms were still very clean, they have just seen better days. The staff the we dealt with were great. Overall, if you get the Luxor for cheap, you get good value."

"We had a terrific time in Vegas!!! The Luxor was great and the staff were great as well. We stayed in the Pyrmid, what an amazing view of the strip! However, I have sprint and my singal SUCKED while in the room. My husband has an IPhone he had no problems. :) The fact that the Luxor is connected to the Mandalay and Excalibur is a huge bonus, but also a trap because it is hard to leave and go outside. I was not in love with the buffets, but there are plenty of other resturants! Also beware of the vultures that jump on you when you arrive, to tour for 'free' gifts. As we found out later, if you are going to tour and get free gifts wait until you get to the strip they offer way better stuff!
We got to see Cris Angel as well, my husbands choice! He loved it..
The night life was on point as well, there was something for everyone (black, white, hispanic, asian, young and old, etc.)
Transportation was easy, we used public transporation as well as a cab. They were both accessible and easy.
Out of all the hotels on the strip that we visited my husbands says when we come back, he only wants to stay at the Luxor...really???? We will see!"

"The Luxor is an average hotel. The front desk person was friendly enough. Wait staff at the lounges were not very attentive. I know that want you to gamble, but they lost out on at least another round of drinks. Cashiers at the sports book were a mixed bag. I figure if I am being friendly the least they can do is be the same to me. If we do go to Vegas again I would upgrade to a nicer hotel/casino."

"I must say that this is the best place to stay! I booked this hotel because it was my mom's 44th bday and I wanted to place her somewhere nice without having to pay a lot of money. The front desk was amazing. You can keep your bags with the bellhop at most hotels it would cost, but this hotel it didn't. We were able to get to the strip easy. I can also say that the rooms were nice. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!!!! Oh yeah and on the last day we were there it was so many people so we got lost and this Security lady helped us who was just extremely helpful. When I come back to Vegas I am going to stay here no where else."

"This was my first trip to Las Vegas. I was a little worried about booking this hotel because I read a lot of mixed reviews from past guests. However, we had a wonderful experience here. We stayed in a 'Pyramid deluxe king' room on the 18th floor. Check in was very quick, as we got to the hotel around 12, and missed the peak check in time. It's 'original' Vegas, so it's older, but the room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable with an excess of pillows. The bathroom was clean, and we loved the huge shower. The air conditioner was mediocre, but lickily we were on the side of the pyramid that didn't get direct sunlight during the day so the room never got too hot. The carpet in the hallway was old and stained, but not terrible. The elevator moves at an agle rather than straight up and down so it's a little strange the first few times you use it. It's a little rickety, but very efficient for the number of people it must carry every day. The pool area was nice, but our only complaint was they wouldn't let us bring our drinks in that we purchased in the hotel. They make you purchase your alcohol from the pool bar, which is a little pricey. it was a little far out from the center of the strip, but the team service between hotels makes it an easy walk to the center of the strip.Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, and would probably stay again. We will definitely be visiting Las Vegas again soon!"

The only thing is that our room was kind of small which weighed out because we were not in the room very often. I would stay here again but book a bigger room and one with frig and microwave. Overall a good stay."

i was quite excided to stay in your hotel since it was going to be my first time in vegas you could imagine how i was feeling about the trip reading what you have to offer.as i was walking to our room i had noticed how worn the carpet was , but i figured you were going to replace it soon.as i entered the room i thought wow this is nice tell i really looked around..the wall paper is coming off the walls around the hot tub and i thought well your going to get around to fixing that also lots of rooms to cover and it takes time..But when i went to use the hot tub after three days in your wonderful city i find i can not use it because it does not work,when i rent a room i at least expect things to work that i am paying for.as you can see i am a very unhappy guest and i can not see me telling all my friends and family and co-workers that i would recommend you at all. i can over look many things but not letting me know about something that is not working in your rooms is not the right way to treat a paying customer ,you didnt even give me the opportunity to decline the room."

"I do not know where to begin, first room i was given was dirty and there was stains on the bed covers of BOTH bed. front desk people where rude and too many people pushing a sale on every corner. This is supposed to be a nice resort for crying out loud is part of the MGM family. second room just as the first, air conditioner did not work well, i know it gets hot in Las Vegas but I am a Texan, Hot weather is not news to me. i had to shower before i went to bed to freshen up and sleep and as i always do when i get up. The LAX club promoter was rude, i asked what was he promoting and with out looking at me he just handed me a card and keept on going. and such was the attitude of many sales rep and Luxor employees. Let me make a note here I AM A TIPPER AND A GENEROUS ONE TOO AS I ONCE MADE MY LIVING OF TIPS so with this been said..., How ever the maid assign to my room, was very pleasant, attentive and did an awesome job, the maintenance guy that took a look at my air in the room was also very nice, friendly and those 2 people are the only reason i did not cheked out and left. but next time i will stay else where. This is the first time i experience such a poor quality guest service in my life. will i recommended to anyone NO, will i stay there again NO"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Luxor very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was happy and safe. The casino was spacious and the air was fresh. The machines were fun with many people winning. The rooms were all we could hope for and also very spacious and clean. We loved the pool areas with lounges and towels provided and nice piped in music.
We went to many casinos while we were there and compared the hotel most favorably with them all. We had a great time, and our daughter was thrilled.
The only improvements I might suggest would be 1) to have more food options available (other than McDonalds) for late arriving hungry guests and those who wish to stay up late and play 2) the lines were very long for check-in many times, but I guess that's because the hotel offers one of the best deals on The Strip."

"This was not my first time here however, I did not enjoy the hotel nearly as much as I did the first time. The constant pressure to buy from tour and show operators and timeshare operators was very annoying. I do not gamble, so I had no interest in spending time in the casinos. I spent so much time just getting into and out of the hotel (because of its size) that it became annoying. There was an issue with the breakfast buffet that was included with my package. The staff refused to assist me with it. "

"My stay at the Luxor was a disappointment. I had stayed here once before, in 1997, and wasn't too thrilled with it then but thought I would give it another chance. When I was there before my hotel room had plumbing issues the entire time. this time, the hotel had some issue with checking in and I stood in line for nearly 4 hours. During this time, I missed an expensive show that I had tickets for. I realize that every guest had this same experience so it would be hard to upgrade or offer much in the form of compensation, but they could have replaced the tickets to the show I missed or even offered a discount on a future stay. It was ridiculous. I wasted an entire day just checking in. The beds were not very comfortable. The mattress and pillowds were hard and the sheets were scratchy. For some reason our room was missing chairs that went with the table and the last morning we were the house keeping replaced them. I noticed that the room seemed very rundown. Nothing has changed since I stayed there in the 90's! For the price of this room, I expected more. The entire trip got off to a bad start and left a bad vibe on the rest of the trip. I will stay at the Encore or Bellagio in the future. I am steering clear of all MGM properties as they always seem to have problems."

"When we arrived at the Luxor , there was a mistake in the booking. We were told that our trip reservation was 4 nights instead of 5 nights. The staff member never smiled or said I'm sorry and he gave us a room which was so far from the elevator that it was a real drawback for us. The employee should have been more concern about this situation. At 66 year old we had a hard time to return to our room that was so far from the elevator.nThan on the return flight my husband and I were not even seatted together. I know this is not your fault but we have to mention what happened in order to have better service.nI will not recommand the Luxor anymore to nobody."

"WE got there and after paying extra for king size beds they did not have. Told us to take Queen for the night & they would change to King non-smoking @ 11am. After going to the desk @ 11:30, 1:00 & 2:50 we were given an upgrade to 2 mini suites. The rooms ( we had booked 2) were nice but had a few problems in that the hot tub did not work, the exhaust fan did not work & the TV in one of the rooms till my husband got it working after waiting 2.5 hrs for Maintenance to not show up until after the fact. I also read there was a resort fee but you need to explain to people the fee is quite expensive. The resort fees for 2 rooms for 7 days were over $240.00. That was wayyyy to high in my opinion."

"The hotel has a wonderful charm. The staff was very pleasent enableing our check in to be quite quick. Once we arrived to our room, the reservation had been fulfilled incorrectly. We requested a room with a king size room. We were assigned two queen beds. I made a call from the room to see if we could get what we had reserved. The attendent told us there would be a $5.00 a day charge for a room with a king size bed...really? He stated he could get us into the correct room, so we proceeded back downstairs for new keys. When we finally got back to the front desk, this time not as fast as previoiusly, we were informed the attendent placed us back into another room with queen beds. We were finally able to get the correct room. We left and had our 'Vegas' fun to return to take showers and both my husband and I had to pry the shower door open. My husband is not a small man. The ceiling had over 15 spots of black mold covering the ceiling as well as the bottom of the tile near the base of the tub. The next morning we went down to ask to have the shower recleaned but it was never completed. We mentioned it again at check out and the gal did write it down, but I am not sure if anything would be done to take care of the problem. rnOverall, the hotel room was beautiful, with the exceptions of the bathroom and a few dents in the walls. The hotel carried a ton of charm, just needs to have the carpets cleaned and carpet seams trimmed. "

"Trying to check in to our hotel, the front desk told us we did not have a reservation. They asked multiple times if it was under a different name.. I don't know how many times it took for them to realize we were sure which name it was under.. our names had not changed! We wasted nearly 20 minutes before FINALLY the receptionist called the travel agency to find out they did not send our reservation information. She did not offer to get a manager involved, communicated to us what the problem may be, or really show any concern for our huge inconvenience. If we had not already paid for the trip I would left right then and went to a different hotel. Although the hotel blames the entire error on the agency, they did not offer us ANYTHING for our inconvenience... not a free meal, or night, or anything! So all said and done, we wasted about 45min at the front desk before we finally went to our dirty room. Costumer service is not a priority at this hotel."

"I remember the hotel being a lot better a couple of years ago. They now sneak in a $20 resort fee, which covers faxing and boarding pass printing (any other hotel covers this for free). They also have high pressure sales people interrupting you at every turn. I don't know if they're trying to cover expenses for a lot of the construction that's currently going on in the hotel...but the customers definitely pay the price for it, pun intended. Next trip to Vegas, my group is definitely staying elsewhere."

"From the moment we checked in we were exposed to terrible customer service. Every individual that worked there was not helpful. One night we had forgotten our key in our room so we waited 15 minutes to catch an elevator down to customer service. We waited so long because the entire time we were there 2 elevators were broken along with everything else in the hotel. After finally getting to the customer service desk we were ignored for about 5 minutes while two ladies chatted. Then we were told they could find us in the system and that there was no record of us ever checking into the hotel. We asked the lady if she could go up to the room and see for herself that all our belongings were in the room. She replied ' no Im not going to go all the way up there. ' I was shocked! Finally, all of the sudden they were able to find us in the system. So after waiting an hour downstairs we were able to return to our room. At 3am we were woken up by the fire alarm beeping due to low battery. I called the front desk and left a message. I untwisted the alarm from the wall. Then next day while we were at breakfast someone came into our room while the privacy sign was up and left us a rude note saying we are not aloud to touch the alarm. When we went to the pool we asked where the towels were and the lady working at the pool replied 'Read the Sing! They are around the corner! Is it hard to read?' We were yet again shocked at how terrible the customer service is! Everything was broken, everyone was rude and on top of having a terrible flight and our tickets were scheduled on the wrong day so we did not get to experience any activites that we had planned on doing. We will never ever stay here again!!!!!!! I definitely would reccomend this hotel to anyone of my friends or family. Our entire trip was a huge waist of time, money and energy."

"Second night in hotel, found bed bugs in our room, on both beds. Manager moved us to a new room, whcih had food crumbs and toenail clippings on the floor, so we asked for another room. The hotel manager refused to launder our clothes ( from the bed bug room ) until an exterminator confirmed there were actually bed bugs in the room. I saw them, I know they were there. Once confirmed, hotel did launder all our clothes. Also, there were 'time share' vultures all over the hotel and casino, we could not walk through withouth being assaulted by these parasites. I did not go to Las Vegas to be harassed by these people every single day, every single time we walked through the building. We were not assaulted in any of the other casinos. Stay away, there are a lot better places to stay in Vegas."

"We traveled this past weekend for a 3 night stay. Once we checked in and were given several drink vouchers, we attempted to use the drink vouchers however only select places accept them (this is not noted on voucher) . So we had to pay which is fine except that it was cash only. We weren't able to charge to our rooms either because the system was down. They weren't willing to call front desk to verify that we had credit cards on our accounts. So cash was all they would accept. We head to the pool only to be told we can't take our drinks with us....really? So we need to get more drinks at pool. Also not accepting vouchers or cc or charge to room due to above mentioned issue. So back to our rooms for more cash. Also they advertise 3 pools however only open one, two on the weekend but you have to pay to use the second pool. Yesterady they did allow you to use the second pool without paying but you couldn't use the loungers on that side. When we complained they initially said oh well but did eventually comp us $40 a room. When we attempted to use said comp...systems were down and more unwillingness to charge to room due to not wanting to call to verify with front desk. This went on for two days. We did finally get a nice lady at the Pyramid Cafe to allow us to charge our breakfast to our room. Air conditioning not very effective in our second floor room. Bathroom light automatically turned the very noisey fan on as well....for as long as light was on, fan was on. We went with a group of 6 total. The show that came with our package (we picked Zumanity) was a fun show however our booking agent did not book us as a group so we were scattered. they also mispelled one person name so it took forever to get our tickets to the show. Lots of waiting done on this trip. The food at Buffet was edible however there were only a few selections for the $20 price (better selections/food at Golden Corral!). Checking out: they charged two of the three room the $20 resort fee per day but not the third and had no explanation as to why. Overall I'd give this hotel in general 1.5 stars.....I would definately choose a different hotel next time. Entire group was very disappointed."

"I have to say that I was less than pleased with my check in/customer service experience. We had a reservation for a Pyramid Deluxe room, and were told that we were being upgraded by the rep that checked us in! Well this was no upgrade she put us way out in the West Tower, and was so worried about talking to and giving her friend free stuff that so rudely came to counter during our check in, that she was less than concerned with making sure we were alight and had what we needed. She pushed us along as fast as she could to making 'chatting' with her friend top priority. When our concerns were finally voiced we were told that there was nothing they could do. This was my first visit to Las Vegas and my 30th birthday, I was very disappointed when my room was not what we registered for."

"We stayed for 3 nights and found it to be very nice. We stayed in the East tower and the room was fine but maybe a bit outdated, the bed was very comfortable! We only stood in the check in line maybe 10 minutes and was treated very friendly. I wish there were a few more places to eat that was affordable. If you catch the bus you have to walk which the weather wasn't great for us, cold and windy which was crazy for April. The slots are VERY tight but found that in most hotels along the strip. It was a pleasant stay all in all."

"'This was mine and my husbands first trip to Vegas. We stayed 4 nights on a smoking floor(7th). I had orginally booked the trip and requested a double bed room, since it was cheaper, we were delighted when they let us have a Deluxe King instead. The elevator situation is ridiculous, we were told we could only use 1 elevator, 4B to get to our room(clear on the other side of the hotel from the elevator) but after exploring we found a more convienient elevator closer to our room.(Why didnt they just tell us that in the first place?) The couple that went with us, did not get their free drink coupons, and the staff refused to give them to them after asking about them at the front desk. For an extra resort fee per day they need to offer a shuttle service to and from the airport. Also, it was like pulling teeth to get the casino servers to bring a free drink while playin slots or table games! After 4 days of gambling in their casino, I got 2 drinks for free while playing. We had the MORE buffet on easter sunday(which we didnt know we would be charged more for) and the selection was horrible, and some of the food was not kept as hot as it should have been. Though I would not likely come back here, the Rooms were very comfortable and clean and the price is reasonable for people on a budget."

Not knowing that they had given us the wrong room we walked all the way to the room which may I add is not just a little jaunt. There is only one elevator that you can take and you walk the whole perimeter of the hotel since the rooms are on the outer parts of the per amid. There was no true apology. "The staff at the Luxor will try to promote so many things and when you say no they will keep bugging you. Then when you have lots of things wrong with your room they wont even move you so you have to wait hours for the bathroom to be fixed. So you have to go to the restrooms downstairs in the lobby to go. Then if you go on a tour they the staff will give you the wrong information. So never listen to the staff only the booking agent that you go with."

The resort fee was reasonable, but they have no wireless internet so the only way to take advantage of that is to bring a laptop and hard wire into your room. "We did not like the huge impersonal hotels, cant stand cigarette smoke in every casino that is a must to walk through to get anywhere and Vegas nickels and dimes you to death! The only enjoyables- the figurine show at the Forum in Caesers Place, Zumanity show, helicopter ride at night, Bellagio fountains to music show- and Fremont Street. "Our checkin was very slow, but The Luxor sure made up for it by providing us with an absolutely magnificent suite to die for. This suite was an apartment. It had two bedrooms, a dining room and a huge bar, not to mention two bathrooms. All we booked was a two queen room. The people were unbelievably friendly. I feel bad...we had such a great time, we missed our flight home.....we rushed out of the room without even tipping the wonderful hotel staff that cleaned our room nightly.....she was always smiling and when the weather was less than favorable, she warned us to take our sweaters....the concieage helped us by contacting the airline who could not be nicer. I have nothing but the most gratitude for the American people in general. Thank you so much for making my holiday superb....."

"I recieved an upgrade to a spa suite, which the spa and spa jets weren't working. My bathroom had a hole in the wall. There was no coffee maker or refrigator. The staff wasn't friendly or helpful just made me feel like a business transaction and not a person. When I walked to other hotels their staff was very helpful and friendly. I would be happy to spend my money there than the LUXOR!!!! Plus the breakfast buffet was way over price for what they call food. The .99 cent menu at McDonalds is much better than their breakfast and that's not saying much. When they asked my opinion on the breakfast I told them and the staff memeber argued with me for not liking their food. My biscuit was so hard I could barley cut it with my knife. I paid $16 for some fruit and a crosiant now that's money well spent because everything else was hard, old, or burnt."

Other than the room everything else cost bucks. They charge a resort fee $15.00 per person per day. The bed was extremely comfortable and the noise level was min to none. Staff was extremely helpful - watch out for the free show guys, nothing is for free in vegas. They want you to go to a 2 hr presentation to sell you a timeshare(of coarse they say it is not) in exchange for a free show for two. We tried to have a frugal Vegas - not possible. You get what you pay for. Would I return to the Luxor again, probably not ( only because I would want to try something different), yes I would reccommend it to friends."

"Stayed 3 nights at this hotel and I can say as others has,it is very dated and showing its age. Check in was very fast, but we found out that the spa in our room (as well all spa rooms) were shut off until the county can make a inspection, (no reason given for the inspection). So to make things right they gave us $35 dollar food comp, which was a nice jester except the room cost us an extra $40 a day over a room with out a spa. After allot more hagling with the front desk, we ended up getting another $50 comp, which still did not cover the extra cost of the spa. Once we got to our room, we discovered as others have mentioned, the rooms are very dated. The carpet was dirty and worn and coming apart in some areas. wall paper was falling off the walls, and we had to request new linens because the ones on the bed were used (they claim they change everyday but there was hair on the pillows and sheets). The buffet, 'More' was a joke, the food tasted like it was cooked days ago and very little selection. The one place in the hotel that I highly recommend is 'Rice & Company'. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and on a Vegas scale the prices were very reasonable and a great atmosphere. Chris Angels show 'Believe' was very good and worth money, but get your tickets early as we did or you will stand in line for an hour or better as some people we met did. If you want a place to go gamble and stay on the cheap, then this hotel is good place to go, but if your having a romantic trip with your wife then go to one of the other casinoes. One last place I want to warn people about, 'Emerils New Orleans Fish house', the service was very bad, the food was not much better. I have eaten at Emerils in Mississippi and in New Orleans and the food was great and I expected the one here to be the same, but it was not worth the $167 we spent."

"Luxor looks cool outside but boring inside. It is too far away from Bellagio and Cesar Palace and other fun places. I got a low room rate at $40. But resort fees $18 add up. But the way, there is no free breakfast, no free wifi inside the room. I will not stay in Luxor though it is a good experience.

Staff were friendly when checking in and out and using the bars.
We didn't get our $25 off that we were promised when we ate in a selected restaurant in the hotel. But we did get a free drink which was nice.
I was annoyed that after buying an alcoholic slushy to enjoy by the pool that we were not allowed to take it in to the pool area. The pool area was nice but the sun beds were worn and broken and the pool was cold.
However it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again as it was a good location on the strip at a good price (until you add the resort fee.)"

I took my mom to this hotel because she loved criss angel and the pyramid deal. But i awoke with bites on my left and right arms. We reported it, they claim they investigated this, and their report came back negative. It was this that ruined my expirence. Hotel also looks a bit dated, but they are trying."

"I booked my trip for 5 days with all of my family so a group of 5. We were given rooms that were so far apart that we had to call each other before meeting up.
The more buffet at luxor is awfull and we pretty much tried to avoid spending anytime at the hotel for food or casino ! Mandaley bay right next door could and should have been our best choice in comparison to the price.
If you plan to stay at the luxor, expect to not like the distance from other good hotels on the strip, bad customer service. Only go there if its the cheapest hotel on the strip by more than $300 on your overall cost.

"The hotel was adequate. The staff was so nice! Our non-smoking room stunk of cigarette smoke, but the cleaning staff worked quickly to alleviate the stink. The bed was amazing! I slept like a baby. The room was clean and large. I didn't like the location. It was far from the more active, lively areas of the strip. Compared to many hotels, this hotel is average when it comes to the nightlife. The bars are kinda lame. "

"Asked for and got an upgrade to a tower room for no extra charge. Room was at the end of a hall on the 2nd floor. Very quiet and comfortable. Weather was a little chilly for us Floridians. Highs were in the 50's. Met some old friends from up North and had a great time. Have stayed here at least 4 other times. Hotel needs some upgrades, however the are working on that. Would go back again given the chance."

"The entire Casino/hotel needs to be refreshed. The whole place smells like smoke, as a non smoker I hate that. Get BETTER ventilation! I understand how this works but our room was a long walk from the Elevator because it was on the opposite corner of the hotel. There are four Elevators that go to different floors. We just had a bad draw, but either way it was a longer walk from the top of our Elevator around to our room than from the Elevator/lobby over. Our room, clean for the most part. The bed by the window was HORRIBLE. Wife and I laid down and it was a giant taco. Wore out, old, cheap, call it what you like but no way I can sleep on a bed that sucks you in and you almost lay on top of each other. The other bed was okay, not great but acceptable. I have been on FAR superior beds at cheaper hotels. Air conditioning could be cooler. It kept the room cool if you closed the curtains but it wouldn't freeze it out like I prefer in Vegas. I doubt it would stay cool in the middle of summer. We stayed in late March/Early April and it managed. Towels stunk, smelled like they were burnt. All of them were this way, they were also wore out, not soft, and felt old and used. Bed linens were nice, carpet was fine. Paint and bubble ceiling needs updated. There were some stains on the walls that looks like something was splattered. . Bathroom was clean. The Halls in the place were filthy. Food, cans, random objects. Yes part of this is from sloppy (pigs) of guests but it is still the hotels responsibility to keep the commons areas clean. A tray of room service sat in the hallway outside our door (another guest) for at least 36 hours. That is disgusting. Front desk staff was friendly for checkin and when we called (wake up calls). At checkout they didn't ask about the stay, they acted like they didn't care and while our checkout was at 4:00 in the morning there were 4 people standing there doing nothing but talking. The lone check out line was in use so we walked to the check in line because we had a plane to catch. The guy told us we would have to wait. So 1 guy is working and 3 are doing nothing but we still have to wait. Not how it should happen. Help the guest out. Overall the location is the reason to stay here. This casino/hotel has become dated, stinks like smoke, needs cleaning in common areas and really they need to drop some money and remodel. IT is fine for a solid on strip location. "

"Overall I have to say my stay at the Luxor was very enjoyable. Its very clean, the rooms are very comfortable, they always seem to have different things going on there. I've stayed there before but this time there were a few changes. This time around they had the Criss Angel show, the Bodies exhibit, the Titanic exhibit, and I believe a few other things going on.
Whats really great about the Luxor is the location. Your right on the strip first off, and you can also go right into Mandalay Bay through the Mandalay Bay Shoppes, and also have easy access to Excalibur through an escalator-like walkway, all from within the Luxor. This is very convenient. If you want to step into something different its not really too far off. You then have the Mandalay Bay restaurants and the food court at Excalibur, which I found to be a bit better than what I found within the Luxor. That was a really great move, its almost like having 3 hotels in 1.
While some of the other hotel/casinos on the strip offer a bit more as far as things to see, free shows, and size, the simplicity and price of the Luxor was nice. I like the ambiance and Its one of the most inexpensive hotel/casinos; you definitely get your moneys worth.
My only complaint would be the staff. Their not very friendly or helpful at all, and I found many of them to have a bit of an attitude problem. I also had some problems with transactions I never made but one of the managers quickly took care of it.
Overall the poor customer service and attention of the staff would be my only complaint, but at least the bright side is that they do have efficient managers.
If I could do it all again I would still pick the Luxor. The location, the room comfort, the way it connects to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur, the cleanliness and the price definitely won me over."

"Horrible experience! Staff was rude and even security guard asked for tip just to give directions to elevator. Room service left carts removed from room with rotting food in hallways for more than 48 hours. The timeshare hounds were allowed to pester us constantly. So we were not allowed our rest an relaxation time that we paid for. We were approached at least 25 times per day within the hotel alone not to mention 100 approaches outside of the hotel."

"I booked this room for my parents as a surprise...only to give them two for the price of one (at their expense!). They were expecting a fully paid for room, but they were required to pay a $16 fee for THEIR 'convenience'.....a local paper (not even delivered to their room) and the ability to make local calls (to WHO, I wonder?). "Bookit .com was great. It was the first time I used Bookit.com and I will use it again. The Luxor Hotel & Casino was excellent. Great value for the money! It is not the Venetian, but it is not $300 a night. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. The only mistake I make on this trip, which had nothing to do with the Luxor or Bookit.com is flying Spirit. I thought I booked a ticket on Spirit, for $70.00. When I got to the airport, I was unaware I had to pay for my seat $15.00, my carry on bag $70, since it was 1/2' larger than the box they have to measure. Bottom line, The ticket $70 ticket actually cost $140. Next time I will make these type reservations throught Bookit.com. Their price, through Delta, at the time I made all my reservations was much less or actually $127 flying first class. I do not know if Spirit charges to use their lavatory while we were in the air. Pesonally, I was araid to ask to use their facilities. Hope this helps others. Bill"

"My stay included a FREE Buffet per day for up to two guests. They did not give me any coupons for this offer, always said they would be discounted at final check out. Finally, I have been charged buffet fees and I am trying to get a refund. But this causes me a lot of loosing time with the unfriendly hotel staff. The problem started at check in desk mix up. "First of all, was charged a $50 resort fee or something like that. WE thought we had paid in full prior to arrival. Had special needs for my husband - a refrigerator to store his diabetic medicine in. They charged me for that which has never happened - always has been free. It was suppose to be in our room and I had to call the operator when we got to our room and let them know we needed a frig. I argued with the operator who told me it was a $25.00 charge per day because people ABUSE the request. MY HUSBAND IS DIABETIC. I offered to show her the insulin. They still charged us which was infuriating. It took a couple of hours or more to get the frig. Other than that it was okay hotel.
Also we were suppose to get two free buffets - had to argue for that as well.

"I have stayed at the Luxor hotel multiple times, this time I really saw some things that I didnt like. The bed skirt on the bed was dirty their was dust on the head board that suggest that the room had not been completley cleaned and the matress was lumpy. I tripped several times in tounte to my room due to the carpet in the halls were coming up and my heels got caught in the carpet b/c the carpet was starting to come up off the floor. "

"We were checked into an occupied room. The staff was not sorry for the error or helpful in the process of getting us into a clean room. They switched us to not as nice of a room. We were interrupted by maintenance changing out the hair drier for over an hour. Staff complained often and appeared as if they hated their jobs. "The Luxor is a beautiful place. The room was clean but the air not working properly. The $32 buffet was a joke, same small selection of food for lunch and dinner. I played slots with 3 friends in the same area for over 2 hours and a waitress came by on one occasion to offer drinks. No comp coffee in the mornings. The super or Mega Hotel/Resorts are nice to look at but they sure lack in Quality. I plan to go again but not to the Luxor."

It was filthy, and the food was terrible. there was mold on the ceiling in our bathroom, the sink was plugged up and backed up smelling like a sewer. the floors were not vacuumed. the hallways were not clean. "Great holiday vacatin to Vegas. We were there 12/26-12/30. Best part: Upgrade on accomodations from Pyramid Deluxe to TOWER deluxe. We booked in September and were given a special of two free buffests each day. at no cost, great deal. I also heard other say they could purchase a full-day pass to eat all day at a reasonalbe cost, much more economical than individual meals. . Gambling, no big payouts, just able to play--entertain. Breakfast, very good, lunch, not so great. Pyramind cafe=very good. Titantic-intreresting, but maybe a little better discount for Luxor residents. Overall, the trip was fun and the accomodations were excellent for the price. Biggest obstacle very bery long lines for check-in, show tickets, and food--1 to 2 hours. We know this is the busiest time of year, but Luxor should consider hiring more part-time people for this week. There seem to available stations, with not personnel there for chek-ins and lines. We are planning another triop next year with the entire family--all over 21. Don't think Vegas is the place for small babies and very young children, I kknow there are activites for kids but walking the streets of Vegas at night even with parents is a bit too much. Overall, Luxor is one of the better hotels for the price, especially with the comps and specials. Just wish it was closer to the middle of the strip. Also the new tower rooms don't smell like smoke. I had read reviews that said it was smoky--not the tower rooms, very clean and spacious. Would reccommend it to everyone who wants a good deal and good accomodations in the Tower Deluxe--sister was in Pyramid Deluxe which was an older part of the facility. She said OK but not as good as ours with a bath and shower."

"How to describe our stay at this hotel. I can only use the word WOW!
WOW - I have never seen such rude hotel staff...upon check-in, the man at the desk would not even make eye contact with us. He was very rude. Eg - when asking for a driver's license as id, he just put out his hand and barked 'licence!'.
WOW - no sense of customer service....we had to pay a resort fee (to cover newspapers, fitness centre, etc) but were never told where these were. Neither was there any maps or paperwork in the rooms to give that sort of information.
WOW - no wi-fi in the rooms. Come on guys!! How hard is it to get wifi modems in the rooms?
WOW - no tea and coffee in the rooms!!!!! What the ?????
The rooms themselves? Mould growing along the bottom of the shower, broken tiles falling off the shower recess, chipped paint on door frames, tears in the wallpaper. I thought we were staying at the ymca.
But hey, if you want a huge impersonal casino wih thousands of beds available to sleep off the drunken post-betting stupor, then Luxor is the place for you.

"I was disappointed in the hotels lighting, it was dimmly lit. For a hotel of this size there should be more elevators,disliked the long walks to our room. The ice machine outside our room didnot work the entire stay, (5 days), the resort fee is a joke,the weather was near freezing at night so not useing the pool and we are not gym people,it should be an option for those that want these amenities. The only hilite this hotel offers is its housekeeping staff, who do a grand job of keeping things clean."

"I will never book a trip with Book It.com again or tell anybody about it. US Airlines stunk lost our carryon bags wouldn't help us just keepet telling lies. The Luxor had really nothing to do and had to let the hot water run for 20 mins to get a hot shower. BookIt.com wasnt clear with free tickets that we were surpose to get and we lost the deal. My trip to Vegas was to celebrite my 10 year wedding with my husband and it wasnt very fun. No thanks to BookIt and the Luxor Hotel and US AIRlines.......

"We arrived to the Hotel late at night and were dropped off by the shuttle bus at the north entrance. We were exhausted and had a lot of trouble finding the registration desk!!!!! Once we found it, all went well,however it would have been nice to have someone there at the door directing us."

"We wanted to have a good experience and are not hard to please, but we did NOT feel welcome.
Things that we normally get in every other hotel we stay at, are missing here.
No free WiFi
No in room small coffee maker.
Things that bugged us.
Food cost in the hotel is very high, not like the old days.
Multiple timeshare centers/desks in the hotel with many people that accost you at every move!
Computers in the hotel were VERY slow at every transaction, like checking in, food purchase, trinket purchase at the gift shops. Check-in was VERY slow.
Confusing hotel layout, signage is poor unless you want to get to the betting areas.
Example, after a show we wanted to have nachos and a margaritas at the T&T restaurant. About 5 tables were in use. We were told unless we were ordering a full meal we had to sit at the bar (crowded & noisy)."

"Our stay at this hotel was ok, but we had a bad expererience . First when we checked in we had to wait so long because we were told that BookIt sent only $28.00 for the hotel. Then after the calls made by the hotel to BookIt to fix it we were finally checked in and they gave us an upgrade because of the inconvenience. Then we we checked out we were charged for the 2 free breakfast buffet because we were told that BookIt didn't send them the buffet package. Right after we came back to San Francisco I called BookIt and the lady I spoke to promised me my credit card will be credited ( I hope so). Then I received my bill from my credit card, it shows itemized charge from US Airways for the flight going to Ls Vegas for the 3 passengers of $139.40 each totaling $418.20 and a charge from BookIt for $280.71 totaling in all $689.91 which is the total of our vacation package as you can verify on our booking ID#14541034. What I'm afraid of is I might receivce a bill from United Airlines for our flight coming back to San Francisco because it doesn't show on our bill but as far as I'm concerned I'm fully paid as it shows on our voucher on booking ID#14541034."

"I loved staying at this hotel. The room was EXTREMELY clean. I would definitely go back and stay there again. The only downfall was the resort fee they charge you for, even if you don't use a gym or want the paper. Also, no forewarning that there was a resort fee, and I had not factored that into my spending money. Other than yet, yes, I would recommend it."

"We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It is a fabulous place to go and I would highly recommend it people who are planning their trip. The housekeeping service is just too good. There are great dining options in the hotel too. The restaurant called RICE & COMPANY has one of the best Asian food options. Also, their buffets have a lot of variety.
There is a great tram service that you can use to shuttle to the strip and then start walking from there. I had a pool facing room that was great.
Looking forward to plan my trip AGAIN !"

"I would not ever recommend book it or this hotel. I got the rooms from book it and when i got to the hotel that night they couldn't find my reservation they asked for a credit card and said they would only put a hold on my credit card. I believing them and then they actually billed my credit card. Now I'm stuck calling hotel billing department to ask for a refund. My room was already charged by book it as well. Also i was never told about a reservation fee of $15.00 a night. The stay there was horrible bad customer service. I was also put in a two queen bedroom when I requested a king. I only stayed at the this hotel because I wanted the view. Instead I was put outside one rooms attached to the hotel. I was moved the next day but by then it was pointless and felt like I got ripped off. This stay wasn't worth what I paid for the room. I'm very disappointed."

"The hotel was nothing short of amazing. We went for a friend's wedding which took place at the chapel upstairs. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. When we got there, we got our room and had two Queen beds instead of one King as requested, so we got upgraded to some super fancy suite at the top of the tower. It was amazing. We had a great time and would definitely come back again."

"I just want to say that Bookit did a a great job booking our trip but once we got to las vegas there were a few disappionting things that had happened First there was Bell shuttle the lady that collected our vouchers was very rude i was so upset with her i had to walk away (this women through my paperwork at me .) then when we arrived at the our hotel we were approached by a women offered us some show tickets she said pick any two shows and she would give us eight tickets and 25.00 casnio play for only 50.00 dollaers and go to one of there time share things so we agreeded she said there would be breakfest or lunch provided and would only be only an one hour in a half nothing said was true but they did give our money back and sAID HOW SORRY THEY WERE . BUT ALL IN ALL WE HAD GREAT TIME"

"We stayed at Luxor for four nights, but did not arrive at hotel until 2am on the first night. The hotel still would not waive the resort fee for this day that I would obviously not be using any of the 'conveniences' that the resort fee includes. Nor did I receive or use any of the conveniences that resort fee is supposed to include: Unlimited local, toll free and domestic long distance calls, Daily newspaper, Daily bottled water delivery (two bottles per day, Daily admission to the fitness center (does not include use of spa facilities, Internet access in room use the fitness facilities. I would prefer to add those options if/when I wanted them.
We had called earlier that day to request that the five rooms in our party could be located near each other but upon arrival at 2am, the rooms we originally booked could not put together so at least they upgraded our rooms.
The pool area was very nice and sunny. We rented a cabana one day and enjoyed the rafts, TV, fruit, and pool bar service for a reasonable price.

"We had a very pleasant stay. I did find a lot of staff to be less than pleasant, in that we were rarely greeted with a smile and no great effort to help. This was not true for all staff but a lot of them.
Our room was very comfortable. Could have done with a few more hangers in the closet!
I was disapointed that the hotel did not have Wi Fi, it had internet connection but I have an iPad & this was not helpful.
We had dinner at the Tenders restaurant & the food was delicious!

"We were very pleased with our accomodations at the Hotel, especially since we saw other rooms at different properties. The internet connection was slightly antiquated but it worked and that was important. The food at the hotel restaurant and buffet were excellent.
I did also want to mention that Air Tran was exceptional in their helping with a wheelchair, which my husband needed for the airports. They were friendly and conciencious. We would use them again.

"Just returned from a 4-night stay at the Luxor in Las Vegas. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. A few times they approached me and asked if they could assist as opposed to me having to ask. Room was clean and the view of the pool and mountains spectacular, especially at sunset. "I recently stayed at the Luxor while out on business. The hotel staff was great, because I checked in late in the day, the room I had reserved had been taken so they upgraded my room at no additional charge. One thing that caught me surprise though was a resort fee of $35/night that has to be paid. Maybe I missed it in the fine print, but it would be nice for BookIt to do a better job of notifying travelers of extra charges in a much better way.
All in all fthebstay was great, hotel room was clean, and room service does a great job of accomidating any request that you may have."
