Location is great, right on the strip within walking on the strip. The outside and casino floor are wonderous. The accommodations not as grand as I would like compared with other aspects of the hotel. Staff was pleasant and buffet downstairs was really good. Watching the window washers was fascinating.

Loved my stay at The Luxor! The employees are very professional and friendly. The spa and salon are really up to date. Variety of shows on the mezzanine..never a dull moment! House of Blues is close by this hotel. Mandalay Place connects Luxor with Mandalay Bay-very convenient of you go to a concert at Mandalay Bay. Nice "M Life" hotel.

The absolute worst place I have ever stayed in Vegas. We have been here a week. We needed an extra day because our flight was delayed. We had to move rooms, which was fine, I understood that. BUT the room we got 1) absolutely reeked of marijuana. So much so that we all got sick. 2) the air conditioning did not work and it was boiling hot. 3) the sink is clogged and had floating specks on the water. 4) called front desk at 5 pm. 5 hours later I called AGAIN because no one showed. They said 2 ahe... Read more

My fiancée and I decided to book a week long stay in Vegas to celebrate our birthdays as they are only a couple of days apart and we decided to book the Luxor. I was a little worried when I read some of the reviews but we had absolutely nothing to worry about. The pyramid shaped hotel was great!! First trip to LV and it was great. The hotel is HUGE! And there's a lot going on, but the rooms are quiet, clean and so comfortable. There was a funny smell as you come out but it could be cos of all that's happening there, conferences, night club, casino, restaurants..... All of them are like that. The rooms were situated away from all the hustle but it's great to be right in there and part of it all. The staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Had a fantastic experience at Luxor. Rooms were clean, spacious and we loved the Egyptian theme throughout the hotel. We waited about 30 minutes to check in so keep this in mind if travelling on a weekend. Pool was fantastic. Friendly staff and great amenities. Would definitely return if I ever go back to Vegas!

I stayed here for 5 long....days. When I checked in, everything seemed to go fine. I asked for a Tower room and was granted that. When I went to my room, the desk attendant had given me a handicapped room. Shower was dreadful with a shower curtain that looked like it hadn't been changed since the 70's! And a large stall with a folding chair and a low shower head. 2 towels total, no washcloths, no bath mat. Room furniture all nicked up with what I would assume was wheelchair bumps? ... Read more

Not a bad hotel, but needs to be updated, Good pool area, nice buffet, large casino and good places to snack. Bar is pretty large, but my fav thing about the Luxor was the large betting area with the huge screen. The bed had a deep sunk-in that I had 2 lay in a vertical position on tbe edge of the bed. The elevators are not safe. I chose Luxor for the lower rate. The line for registration was long. The view was the Las Vegas strip that had a dirt lot and the airport and an event arena. I found dust bunnies behind the curtains, the curtain pull broke, I was given an upgrade without asking at registration, but there was no mention of renovation. This caused one less elevator, construction noises, loss of electricity and walking around equipment and crew. Not a relaxing week.

Plane landed at 10:30, went over to Hotel hoping for an early check in, had a great person checking us in, she had NO PROBLEM checking us in, we didnt have to wait till the normal 3 or 4pm, and we were not charged an early check in fee. Which was great. Stayed on the 17th floor in the pyrimid, with a strip few, was a nice clean and pretty large room, perfect for the 2 of us, but would have been fine for another couple as well. of course room was... The hotel/casino has gone so many changes. One is the pool. Less area to hang out. But if you like crowds this is for you. There are less non-black jack tables. Minimum is 10$ most nights. The location is nice. In between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur with walk ways. Nice shops and variety of dining options.

My friend and I stayed in a Queen Suite on the 14th floor. The check in was time consuming as there was a long and very slowly moving line. There were a lot of hidden fees so I recommend anyone staying do their research. When we got to the room there were tears in the carpet and the furniture had scuffs and chips in it. The furnishings were very boring and sparse. On the first night I developed really bad lung congestion which persisted my whole stay. I do have asthma that is usually w... Read more

Recently returned from a week in Vegas following a stay at the Luxor, mid Oct 2016. We stayed in a double-queen room, three people, and there were two others accompanying who also took two separate rooms which I believe had king sized beds. It's probably most suitable for families, but couples or groups of friends would not be out of place too. Overall the hotel is worth a stay and is recommended. This Luxor is at the end of the strip and access to the main strip or Fremont Street is not eas... Read more

We stayed for three nights in the a Tower in a quiet room on the 15 th floor just a few doors from the elevator with a great view of the pool. We flew in to Las Vegas so I could compete in the Huntsman Utah Senior Games in swimming and Triathlon. The pool was important to me. The first day I did not know about the VIP pool which was a minimum $10 fee. The fee was definitely worth it! I need the hot tub and there were two at the VIP POOL. The VIP POOL WAS VERY GOOD! One of the hot tubs did... Read more

On the bright side this is one of the more affordable casino hotels along the strip - a well-oiled machine. Moreover its proximity to Mandalay Bay and the shopping mall was quite convenient. That said I couldn't help but feel repeatedly as if the staff at the hotel were vaguely disinterested at best, or more commonly as I observed outright annoyed at having to put up with the throng of guests. At least I suppose that's the motivation. It was hard to explain. No one ever smiles. Nor was hard to m... Read more

The Luxor is always fun, but finding out I had to pay for self-parking, along with a resort fee, felt like I was nickled and dimed. With the offers I get for free rooms, eating, and free-pay, it is still worth it, by far. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I will continue staying at the Luxor.

We did not like Vegas at all, and the hotels did not impress us either. We fully understood what Vegas was but did not realize it was a tacky, over the top town all the way around, and the Luxor certainly matches the rest of the town. So, if you enjoy Vegas, you will love this hotel too, but it was not for us.

I have been to Las Vegas several times over the past 30 years. I've never stayed in a place that was so filthy, run-down and such a smelly mess. The odor of those smoking is a given in casinos. The odor of urine in the hallways and rooms was almost overwhelming. The desk clerk offered my husband an upgraded room which, after reading my original reservation, was essentially the same room with a different name. The buffet was in a dimly lit area. The food was overcooked, cold, the salad... Read more

Well I read some of the reviews and even the bad ones made me a little worried BUT we had a great time when we were there. Yes the room was dated and needed upgrading BUT the staff were wonderful had a great room bed was comfortable. The only criticism I had was the TAXI company ripped us off badly when we go there and charged us $34 from the airport we used Lyft on the way out and paid $14 on the way out.

When you visit Las Vegas you have to suspend reality for a while and the Luxor fits this niche perfectly. Everything is bigger than normal, the entrance and foyer are huge with display in the foyer, Titanic experience for instance, worthy of a building of there own. Everything you could want is available under one gigantic roof. The rooms are large but have a strange feel to them because the window wall is at a pyramid angle. Had an awesome time in Vegas staying at the luxor. The pool side is fantastic and the exterior of the hotel is stunning. However in comparison to other hotels I visited i felt the Luxor was slightly dated in interior especially the rooms, i upgraded to a pyramid suit and it wasn't all that spectacular. The distance to the strip doesn't look like much but it is a long hall in the heat. That aside I had the best time in Vegas and at the Luxor.

Nice place to stay on the strip although it is not close to the central part of the strip. I signed up for M-Life membership (free) online which is a conglomerate of other casinos on the strip. M-life membership gives a parking pass which can be used to park your car at other M-life casinos for a $8 flat rate. Overall staying at Luxor is value for money but it's a little too far from the rest of the strip, especially from the food court in Fashion Show.
