We rented this place from an owner who was not using it thru VRBO. We rented a 2 bedroom unit. This place was clean and family friendly. Room had all the extras like coffee, dsih soap, laundry soap... There is a shuttle to take you to the strip, but you can walk too. Kids activities and movies kept us busy. Lots of kids to play with a the kids pool, but also has an adult pool. Defintely would stay here again with kids.

Nice hotel with great customer service. Shuttle to Linq was a plus. Memorial weekend is a busy time in Vegas but all the staff we interacted with were great. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great view from tower 2 and quick access to rooms from lobby.

We had a great experience at this resort. We have stayed at many of their time shares using points in past and have been pleased, but this time we paid cash. No complaints about the amenities. All staff were pleasant although my husband felt the lady at the front desk was a bit pushy. I had a good experience with each front desk clerk. There was a very friendly man who I assumed was a manager who was ushering us to available clerk. He was calming and very hospitable during the short wait in li... Read more

I found this place to be clean and kept in good order, lots of options for things to do and places nearby to. We had an awesome 3 bdrm unit. slept 8. Elevators require room card, a good safety measure. A complimentary bar near reception from 3-4 pm. There are both adult and kids pools, nice fitness center. Downside-check out is at 10 am ,kinda early if one has a family, and although this is a non smoking facility, and they have attractive and well maintained smokers areas, I ran into smokers sta... We chose not to stay directly on the strip, and our 1 bedroom room suited our needs. We walked everywhere, but be advised that it is about .7 mile from the Wyndham to the strip as the blocks are so large. I believe there is a shuttle, although we didn't use it, and the monorail is at the MGM that will take you down the strip. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a full size kitchen, flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom, huge shower and 2 person jacuzzi tub. We never heard n... Read more

Deciding in advance to stay off the strip and in a hotel without a casino, we chose the Wyndham Grand Desert and we very happy with this choice. We had a 2 bedroom deluxe (recently renovated) condo and it was excellent. Good bathrooms, good linens, well equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, lots of storage for suitcases, etc. and very attractive furnishings. This is a great place for families. I was here for a few days or my birthday. The rooms are always great and clean. They have an adult pool but not really adult. You can't play your own music and its not like the famous pool parties on the strip. The customer service was great. They now have room service but the food is ok and very expensive. The best part of my stay was the bartender at the pool bar,Ricky. He is awesome.

A very nice place to stay if you are looking for something off the strip, but at the same time, not too far away. There is a shuttle which runs quite frequently, back and forth to Harrahs, which is convenient most of the time. We did opt for alternate transportation nearly half of the time, but we did not need to have a car at the hotel to get around. The suite we were in was really nice and more than enough room. The property is family friendly. The pools seemed nice, though we did not spend ... Read more

We were in town for 3 nights and purchases the stay at Wyndham from a friend. We were in tower 1 and in a 2 bedroom deluxe. The main area of the unit smelled odd (not horrible but a definite smell) and honestly the units and halls need to be refurbished (carpets looking worn and outdated). Tower 2 is all new and looks great. We did sit through the sales presentation and breakfast. On the first night we used the shuttle to go to and from the strip and that was great. I have no complaints about the resort itself, but there were some problems location-wise. The older couple in our group struggled at times with the distance required to walk on the strip due to the free shuttle only dropping people off at Harrah's. The hotel was reasonably close to the center of the strip though, so all other members of our group fared well with the walk.

We have stayed here many times over the years and have always found this resort to be one of the better Wyndham resorts. This was the 4th or 5th time I have stayed at the Wyndham Grand Desert. I will not stay there again. When going to my room there was trash at multiple places on the hallway floor (pizza boxes, food wrappers). The refrigerator made a sound the whole first night, disturbing my sleep. They fixed it the next day after I called. There was a medical issue related my arrival date and staff was not at all empathetic, but rather harsh about the whole thing.

Lots of negative reviews on this property due to a hundred time share people blending in with the staff. The staff is nice but the sharks wear the same uniforms. We tried to stay clear on them but it requires some effort. At check-in we asked to be on the do not call list. That worked! But they almost hooked my wife when she went ahead of me to get the required parking pass. They already had her drivers licence for "ID". NO, NO NO. We fell in love with the grounds of this resort immediately. The front desk personnel were outstanding as was the concierge. Check in was a breeze. Our room was newly remodeled and overlooked the pool area. Simply lovely! Washer and dryer in the unit! We gave nearly every one of our 20 attributes by which we review hotels a 5 star except the WiFi speed which was very slow and the 2 people serving at the restaurant Oasis Cafe who brought our service rating to a 4. Loved the convenience store! Poo... Read more

The Wyndham is like having your own 2 bedroom apartment a couple blocks off the strip. I liked the short walk/uber ride to the strip or Hard Rock but it was nice to be walking distance to cheap gambling at Ellis Island. I could quickly run up to my room or get to the pool without wandering through a casino maze. We saved a lot of money and time by buying groceries and beverages at the supermarket. I wouldn't recommend the Wyndham for new, wide-eyed visitors to Vegas but if you know what you like... Read more

We were going to the SEMA Show with our son and daughter-in-law and we checked into this Airbnb back in May. We had never done one before and thought this would be a nice way to spend three days without being in each other's way. We had two good sized rooms with a kitchen and sitting area. Nice to have a laundry room in the condo as well. It was very comfortable and had nice pools and other amenities. The kitchen was complete with coffee maker and other things to make you feel at home. Great ... Read more

This is a nice time share hotel about 1/2 mile off the strip. They have a shuttle that will take you only to Harrahs. The pool area is very nice with a family pool and an adult only pool. The in house gym is good. AVOID the timeshare presentation at all costs. A waste of time, the claim no high pressure but that was NOT my experience. Visit this, but don't get suckered into buying. Trading to other properties can be difficult.

My husband and I decided to go to Vegas for a quick getaway weekend, no kids. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and checked in, then we were told to go to a different desk to get our parking pass. As we were checking in at the other desk with a nice man he was giving us our parking pass and info about the hotel etc. he offered us free show tkts if we would go to a timeshare presentation. We kindly declined and told him we were not interested in timeshares. He then said he might be able to ge... Read more

We are owners who booked a week stay over this coming New Years Eve. Recently on the phone the concierge told us there would be no shuttle or limousine service on New Years Eve. Can that be true? If there is any time we need the service it is then when all of the strip is shut down to traffic. The shuttle takes the back way to the strip so I don't see the problem. I know the resort is only a half mile from the strip but we were planning on going to Harrahs or another place to celebrate.

The hotel, grounds and room are all first rate. The staff is very professional and helpfu and is was pleasantly quiet despite being near the airportl. My only complaint is the lack of a restaurant. It has a cafe near the pool that has good sandwiches, pizza, etc. but as a business traveler, I needed more than that.

I was in Las Vegas for EDC 2016 and I stayed at the Wyndham Grand Desert! We booked the 3 bedroom suite. I had 12 people in my group and there was 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 5 beds (two kings, two twins, one pull out bed). I stayed for 5 nights and 6 days which cost up to about 1800~ dollars which ended up being 160~ dollars per person which wasn't that bad! The hotel room is about 1,400 square feet big which a full kitchen inside. The pool was nice and big. They have two pool, one kid, and one a... Read more

We were on the 6th floor. When we booked we asked that we had our two (1bd rooms) next to each other so that we could enjoy Thanksgiving with each other. Upon check in, they informed us that even though they showed the request and that our room was actually on the reservation list, it didn't get cleaned and they had switched us to a different room on a different floor in a different tower. That would have really sucked. So we asked that they just get the room clean as quick as possible and we wo... Read more
