"First of all it took over an hour in line to register because they only had 3 staff working at the time. I booked a fab deluxe room which I had last year but this one was anything from fabulous. The room was run down and noisy from the music below(on the 4th floor). I would not recommend or be staying in this hotel ever again. The rest of our vacation to Vegas was excellent"

"Compared to many of the hotels on the strip, the Flamingo was the most outdated. The rooms, hallways, , elevators, casino were very worn. The overall experience was very old fashioned Vegas and did not have the clean feel of many of the other hotels on the strip."

"Can't wait to go back to the Flamingo. Went with my two sisters and we had the greatest time despite all of the negative feedback we read.We stayed 4nights.
You're in Vegas - It's a getaway - a party city.... If you're looking for peaceful quiet nights, this is not the place for you. Especially The Flamingo. Sure the carpets were worn - but we had the Deluxe Fab Room. Laminate flooring, updated bathroom, strip view (just ask staff at the desk for a strip view), flat screen tv. Everything was awesome. There was no fridge in our room but we were given it as a 'gif' at check-in. Just need to be super nice, happy to be there and ASK! Asking is always worth it - you never know!
Tips: Bring an Ipod docking station for the room and snacks
Carlos and Charlies is a great laid back bar on the Flamingo property - good prices and cold drinks!
We went to Absinthe (a show in front of Caesars) Original asking price was $89.99 per person but there was a guy standing literally 10 feet away from the ticket booth with $20.00 coupons. AMAZING show!!! A must see - mix of cirque du soleil (such talented people) and dirty hilarious comedy.
Freemont was a great place too. 2$ Coronas and 5-10$ blackjack tables. Can't go wrong!
For getting to the hotel, we hailed a cab and had it take us to a Liquor store on the way so we could stock up. Our cab was $20.00. On the way home we used Flamingos bell hop and caught their executive shuttle. Smooth sailing.
All 3 of us had never been to Vegas but couldn't have had a better time!! The pool was open when we went - not the slide though. I believe they're waiting for it to get warmed. Weather was in the low 80s while there. So awesome. Definitely going back. Perfect location, friendly staff and updated room.
Was hoping to buy the $44.00 24hour buffet but.. because it was Easter, their holiday price was $75.00. Wasn't worth it since they were only open until 10pm. Prices for food were fair. Definitely buy pizza near the elevators - delicious!!
Always show your rewards card - gambling, eating, drinking.
Definitely can't wait to be back. The people visiting, the staff and atmosphere of Flamingo was fantastic. Fun, Fun, FUN!"

"My experience was mixed with great service but pretty disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. The lady who helped me out at the front desk was very nice. You can tell they were very busy and that some customers that were there were not very friendly. Even with all that she was very friendly. I was excited to be staying in the newly renovated rooms but was pretty discussed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The hallway's floors were VERY DIRTY, the walls seemed like they haven't been cleaned or painted in years. The rooms were ok, they seemed cleaner but not sure about the floors. I even heard someone say ...'wow we are definitely getting bed bugs here,' as they walked by me. The staff was very friendly but I am not sure I will stay at the Flamingo again....unless they can prove me wrong."

"This was our second trip to the Flamingo. This time around, we upgraded our room to the Go Room. The room was clean, spacious. The bed was comfortable. I loved the walk-in shower. We had a coffee maker and a refrigerator. The carpets in the hallway needed to be changed. They were stained and looked dirty. We had to stay an extra day because our flight was cancelled due to the storm (hurricane Sandy) back east. The man at the check-in counter got us a good price and we did not have to change rooms. We were stressed and she came through for us. This hotel is centrally located on the strip and that is what we like about it. We were a little disappointed that the pool closed down on October 29, especially with the weather being 80 degrees. Overall, we had a great stay at the Flamingo."

"the lines to check-in were about 60 deep and an hour wait. Also, be prepared to duck and run from the high pressure sales staff they have in the lobby area which will try and grab you every time you walk through with the infamous line 'Do you want to see a free show' Have you recived your free package'.... All of their sister hotels do the same! BE AWARE AND DON'T fall for the 2 hour presentation and high pressure sale. Vegas time is wait too short for this crap!

"Overall I would say our stay at the Flamingo was positive. Our room had a great view of the sunrise which was spectacular every morning and the pool was very fun.
On the other side, the hotel was very dirty (hallways, etc, even the room itself to some degree) and very run down. The buffet quality was poor. I was also disappointed that they knew it was our honeymoon and did nothing special to honor that.

"Located in the middle of the strip which was great! It has very friendly employees from check in to check out. Our room wasn't ready so they put us in one on the side of the hotel we asked. It overlooked the gardens and the pool. You could see the construction but couldn't hear it from our room. The people in Box office answered all our questions. The maid was friendly. The cashier girls were friendly. They didn't laugh at the few cents we were cashing in. (Not big spenders or big winners) The Nathan Burton Show was hillarious. (Only show we saw there). The beds were comfy. The bathroom was old but had hot water and flushed. The food prices there was the only thing I would complain about. $32.00 for 2 breakfasts was out rageous. During check out a nice man helped my husband check out on the computer. Very quick and friendly. We walked through several other hotels while in Vegas. We were both glad we were at the Flamingo. The Flamingo has 'class'."

"Location was great right in the middle of the strip. . At this time a big construction going on on the north side of the building between the Flamingo and Imperial Palace but we didnt hear any noise. Pool area is one of the best had lots of pool area to use but like all big hotel/resorts things can get full fast. Check in early means $$$. The only complain and didnt bother us is that we could hear everything from next room. Great place and will continue to make this our Vegas destination, on the other hand we will like to try other hotels even that I RECOMMEND FLAMINGO FIRST. "Flamingo may offer a cheap rate with a few okay rooms on the upper 20 some floors for a view of the Bellagio fountain but you get what you pay for. We upgraded from a 'Go Room' for an extra $10 a night to a 20th floor room with a view and a horrid brown dripping liquid coming from the bathroom celiling which they were quick to blame on the AC unit from the floor above. It was no where near the AC unit and a foot from the toilet above. B.S. We were asked to wait for repair which we quickly declined and demanded a new room. We were moved within an hour. Very inconvenient but necessary. They quickly re-rented the room within 2 hours which we knew because we had left an iphone cord in the room which was never recovered. We had contacted the hotel immediatly and they somehow could not locate it. Oh and did I mention the lines to check-in are usually about 60 deep and an hour wait. Then the very next day we realized that 1 of our 2 key cards did not work and they had the insane nerve to tell us we would have to go to that 60 deep end of the check-line to get it fixed! Are you kidding! It was the WORST service I have experienced in a long time. In a nutshell, THIS HOTEL IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER DISGUSTING DUMP. I WOULD BE HORRIFIED TO RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY WORST ENEMY. DIRTY AND OLD. SPEND A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE AND STAY IN A NICER HOTEL."

At this time a big construction going on on the north side of the building between the Flamingo and Imperial Palace and the noise is round the clock. We had some noisy guest beside our room and the staff fixed the problem promptly. Pool area is one of the best. Area had lots of pool area to use but like all big hotel/resorts things can get full. "I think that would be the last time we'll ever go there. We ended up paying more for a better
room, which I thought it was a rip off and when I told the manager about the unpleasant experience we were having, he brushed me off. The last night that
we stayed, got to our room late. The beds were made, new towels and everything but when we were getting into our bed, the sheets were dirty with shoe prints, black oil marks and some lipsticks, we were shocked. On scale from 1 to 10, 10 being best, I'll give it a generous 3 for their cleanliness. Totaly disgusted because part of my family came from Australia to visit us and this was their first time in Vegas. We thought were going to have a great time."

"The Hotel and its very rude staff should be removed from your site.
My arrival was 9 pm in which they gave me a key after a hour line up to a room that had not been cleaned from the previous guest. It then took them another hour to find another room in which they gave me a key to a room that was occupied and I got to walk in on a large man perched on the lew. They told me they would give me an uprade to a much better room for the inconvience. The room was exactly the same and had mold in the bathrooms. My family arrived to their rooms the next day with cockroaches on the Beds, after 2 hours of cleaning the cockroached beds they got to stay in the same room as there was no other rooms available. Oh but they gave a cupon for a free meal. There was little or no hot water, if these were renovated rooms they must have done it 20 years back. The desk service personnell were rude and couldn't care less and if you tried to get any help they would tell you to come back later and then do the same thing to you or they would call security. Apparantly toilet paper, a note paper and pen in the room is an upgrade so bring your own. They run out of any food services by the pools by 2:30 in the afternoon. There is no printer paper in the ticket keoisk but you pay for ticket printing and too bad. There is no where to sit anywhere in the lobby or outside except at a smokers bench."

"We stayed at the Flamingo and had a great overall stay. Our room was upgraded to a suite which gave us extra room but there was not a TV in the bedroom. Bathroom smelled like sewage at times. Bed was comfortable. Great room for the price. Internet was extra but reasonable no hidden cost or resort fees you hear about at some Vegas hotels. Pool was packed, if you want a seat get out there early. Drinks poolside were $$$. If you have a rental car included there are extra fee/taxes. All and all a great experience. It was in the middle of the strip!!!"

"we arrived at 3:00pm was told that the valet parking was full, we would have to park over .5 miles away from the hotel in the employee parking. Why didn't valet park us in this lot? Waited 20 minutes to check into hotel. When got to the counter was told that I was in the wrong line, even though the sign said reservations. The clerk would not help me, the manager refused to help me. He told me that I would have to go back and get in the other line, he said the wait would be approx. 45 minutes. We left and stayed at the Westin Hotel across the street from where we had to park our vehicle. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"I've been to Vegas multiple times and staying at the Flaming was a first.
All in all, you get what you pay for. This hotel is on the cheaper end and the quality reflects this. The ventilation system is bad and being a non-smoker I found it somewhat disgusting.
If you don't want to spend too much, the Monte Carlo or the Treasure Island are in the same price range and somewhat better quality.
The advantage of the Flamingo is location, you couldn't be better situated on the strip if you plan on going to different hotels for events, shows or night clubs.
That being said, I would much rather spend a little more and stay at a nicer hotel."

"The location is great and the pool is nice, however it doesn't open until 9 am and you have to stand in a long line starting at 8 am to get a lounge chair. The rooms were very clean and nicely done, but the beds were a little firm for my taste. Price wise, the rooms are a good rate however the food and drinks are outrageous! Our tab at the pool for 6 drinks and a burger was $167.00. Yikes! Likely we won't stay there again. With all that said, we still had a most wonderful time! As far as recommending to a friend, I guess it all depends on what your are looking for."

"This was my first time to Vegas with a friend of mine. We go to the hotel and upgraded to a GO Room for $30 which had a nice view of the strip as well as a small view of a water show. The hotel was not as glitzy as the rest, but it did the job as far as having a casino and a place to sleep. The pool was very nice, however it opens at 9am and to get a good seat you have to line up by 8am and no reserving seats. The food was good, the staff was nice and our room was decently clean with very little notices of anything dirty. Overall I would recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for a place to sleep but great location. But I will be exploring other hotels on my next visit!"

"I stayed here with my husband from April 7-10 for a birthday celebration. We have been to Las Vegas once before, in November 2009. We arrived late in the day with only a handful of guests in the registration line. All of the staff we encountered at the hotel were very helpful. On the day we checked out there was a long line-up at the registration desk, but being Total Rewards members we were able to use the Express Check-out which took only seconds. We booked a 'GO Deluxe' King room on the 19th floor with a view of the gardens and were not disappointed. It was spacious with a large closet, mirror, television and good size bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My only two complaints are that a) the sound system isn't exactly an iPod 'dock'...you need to have the HDMI connector to use it (something I wish I'd known beforehand), and b) the sliding frosted glass door to the bathroom offers little in the way of privacy. Maid service came daily and did a great job, refreshing towels and stocking up on extra toiletries. The location of the hotel was definitely a high point for us, as we frequent the strip a LOT during our stay. Right in the middle of the strip, Flamingo is a great hub for visiting almost any other location on Las Vegas Boulevard. The casino was open, spacious, and just the right size. The Margaritaville casino was our favourite. It opens onto the strip so you get great views, sunshine, and fresh air...and margaritas! We dined at a few locations in the hotel--the food court was convenient and everything we tried was great. According to my husband, Bonanno's has the best strombolis for $9 and I'd have to agree. We ate lunch at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and won't go back. The bloody mary was so bitter that neither of us could finish it, and the 'peel & eat shrimp' were cold, stale and not what I expected. The Paradise Garden buffet might have been nice, but the line-up was so long every day that we never bothered to find out. And we were bummed to find that Carlos' and Charlie's is still under construction and not serving. The pool grounds were just as I'd hoped--a tropical paradise. Everyone else seemed to love it too, and it was difficult to find a vacant lounger. What did I like best? It was a fantastic stay for $450pp (taxes & flight incl.). The atmosphere was great and never felt 'cheap'. From the lights, the location, and the Caribbean theme, this is where it's at. THIS is what Vegas is all about, and I would definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel is showing her age in many small ways. One not so nice surprise: Our flight landed around noon, no problem from the airport to the hotel, since we had pre-booked transportation. After snaking through a long line for over an hour, we were offered our room (an upgraded GO room) for 'only' $20 extra, since it was before 3pm. Obviously, the room was ready and empty, but to get the key before 3, we had to pay an extra $20. plus tax. The Margaritaville is a nice change from the glitz of the strip; the band was excellent on Thursday night. My companion said if our room was an upgrade, he would not want to have had a standard room. Food expensive and rather disappointing, but there are lots of other choices close-by."

"the carpet when getting off the elevator was very dirty and need to be replace. iwas sent to a room that some one else occupied, but they set me up in a great room after that.which was clean great view love it. Now i went to the book and tour counter where i was told to grand canyon was on a coach, but it wasn't agent to book she take the tour before saling. the same thing was served at the buffet ever nite one nite i only ate fruit. So including work on the floor hall carpet and inprovement is needed on dinner buffet. will recommend if they can get the view of the dancing water."

"Staff was very friendly and the hotel was in a great location. However the rooms need a good cleaning and a major update. The carpet in the hallways was filthy and there was mould in the grout along the tub in the bathroom. We had a room with 2 queen beds and the one bed had pillow cases that had dirt stains. The windowsill ledge was extremely dusty and the area rug was not vaccuumed all week. For our first experience to Vegas, our hotel was extremely disappointing!"

"Wrong room when we checked in, then the parking structure was being spray painted in 45 mph wind!! I had to buff out the overspray the first night, also the fumes from the spray was overwhelming, and it stunk up my NEW CAR, like spray paint!! (So much for my new car smell ) I think that was the straw that broke the camels back, We will be stayinng at the other places across the street"

"My stay was over all nice. I do believe that we were in an older room the wall paper in the room needed a little attention. If there had been a menu in the room for the restaurants or if we could have checked out the menu on the tv that would have been a great help. My room over- looked the garden which was really pretty to look at with the flamingo and fish. The elevators really do need to be cleaned everyday, there was nasty stuff on the doors that would have taken just a few moments to cleaned. the restaurants that we had at the hotel were not bad at all food and price wise. We ate all our meals there. It would of been nice if we could of had something to help us out as to what was on the strip like where the M & M store was and so on, just in case people had check this out at home and for got their paperwork at home, The only thing i really didn't like was how tight the slot machines were, i realize that the casino need to make money, but come one they really need to loose up and let more people win a little."

"Hotel location is ideal. It is right in the middle of strip. Rooms were neat and well maintained. Very little interaction with the hotel staff as everything was clear. If one is not driving this is the hotel in Las Vegas. we stayed for 3 days. I recommend one should stay more. There is lot even for people who stay away from typical vegas activity."

"THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS THE BEST. We were on a non smoking floor but it still smelled like smoke, the pillows and blankets smelled of smoke and the room was not clean, and something in the room affected our allergies. We went to the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room for health reasons. They told us we would have to wait until the next morning when more rooms would become available. We did get a new room that was cleaner and the maid was just wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Margarittaville was wonderful. The food was good, service was great and a lot of fun. The habitat and pool area were very nice. Overall, we would go back, especially for the location."

"We were initially given a room on the 14th floor that was in pretty sad shape so we went back to the front desk and they moved us to the 22nd floor which was no better. After complaining again we were given a room on the top floor that was perfect!! Everyone was friendly and helpful."

"Husband and I spent 4 nights at the Flamingo, our room was clean although the hallways needed swept and carpet shampooed, we were on the 24th floor. Casino and lobby smelled like coconut which seemed to cover up the smell of smoke. We ate at the Cafe and the prime rib was very good. It seemed there was not enough wait staff, we waited for half an hour the first time and the restaurant was only half full.
Flamingo is in a great location on the strip. Very convenient!!
We did eat at Margueritville and the food was good and staff was accomodating -- great experience!"

"My husband and I booked the GO room. It looked just like the picture. It was very comfy. All though we were on a non smoking floor but it still smelled like smoke covered up by fabreez. Well the room didn't smell...just the hallways. So it was ok and we were used to the smell by the time we left 3 days later. The hallway carpet is very stained...but in the rooms it was clean. The staff was helpful when we couldn't check in at the kiosk and they got us what we requested...1 king/non smoking. The location was great and I would defiantly recommend getting at least a 24 hours pass for the monorail. It stops at the Flamingo. The buffet was only ok. The food was pretty good but we waited in line for over 10 mins and there was only 2 people ahead of us. It should not have taken that long to ring up 2 party. And if you have a platinum rewards card you get to cut in front of people in line. We ate at the Pizza Joint...a giant slice and beer for $7. A yummy deal! Pool looked great but we didn't go down there. "

"LOVED THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL. STAFF/EMPLOYEES WERE ABSOLLUTELY AWESOME AND VERY ACCOMODATING. THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE GROUNDS, POOL AND THE GARDEN BAR. FOR THE PRICE, LOCATION AND AMMENITIES, YOU WILL NOT LAND A BETTER 'FIND' ON LAS VEGAS BLVD, UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE. THANK YOU FLAMINGO!"

"The Flamingo was very nice and clean. The pool was great and the associates couldn't have been more friendly. The hotel could use some paint, but bed was comfortable and all was clean. The location was terrific. Margarittaville and the Sunday buffet were both really good. They should not allow the sales people in the lobby to continually ask if you want free show tickets. All you have to do is attend some seminar or something. It was so annoying."

"I have stayed at the Flamingo the last 3 out of 5 times in Vegas. I love this hotel! The rooms are nice, it is in the PERFECT location, and it is usually the least expensive for the central location [in regards to the overall strip]. The pool is awesome; it reminds me of being on spring break again!
However, this was my first time booking this hotel on bookit.com. I don't know if it has anything to do with this website but when we checked into the hotel on 9/8/11, the front desk told us they didn't have any rooms left with our preferences [non-smoking, two beds]. This was the first time I had experienced this. They were able to find us a room but it wasn't as nice and large as the other rooms I had stayed in there. Overall, I will continue to stay at the Flamingo; great price for a great hotel.
I am a 25 year old female, to put this review into context..."

"You get what you pay for with this one. The rate was low and so was my expectation. The bed was surprisingly comfy, I felt safe, and the lights and AC worked so it felt like a win for me. If you are in Vegas to soak up all the thrills than this is the room for you. You likley won't spend a lot of time in it anyway and it is appropriately priced. Don't expect stainless carpet and fresh paint though!"

"We stayed 5 nights at the Flamingo. The casino was crowded but no one was winning, The slots were the tightest I have ever seen but the rooms were clean. The hallways to the rooms needed attention. The carpet was wrinkeled and torn. The rooms could have used some updating but were still a good value.
The prices at the restaurants were outragous. Over 30 dollars for 2 burgers, fries and 2 sodas at the 'Hamburger Joint'. They want 6.50 for a bottle of water. Good thing the prices on the Strip were better.
There are still good deals in Vegas if you do your research and are patient enough to look for them."

"Flamingo is a adequate resort hotel. Prices of amenities I found to be rather high. Rooms are O.K., but not need some updating. Carpets are in need of replacement. Furniture & decor are outdated & a bit 'dirty'. Bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. Staff is wonderful though & very helpful. Web photos should be updated though. Were obviously taken prior to the boom of buildings all around the strip."
