"The Excalibur is a hotel that is in need of renovation. The bathroom was old and showed signs of wallpaper peeling. When we arrived we the front desk was helpful with getting our rooms side by side. I had requested a refrigerator for my medication and they told me that it would cost $25 plus tax per day! What a rip-ff.
We had to call guest services because we were missing a remote control for the TV.
We also didn't have a 'Do not disturb' sign in our room. When they brought the remote and the sign and left it attached to the door, our room was not serviced that
day. Pretty lame. Even the 'black out' curtains in the room only partially cover the windows so the sun starts to shine thru the windows.
I would never stay there again. They barely give you enough shower gel and no conditioner for your hair. I was glad that I brought my own shampoo and conditioner."

"the hotel was nice and the staff was very helpful and friendley. the beds in the hotel rooms must have been tested by cave men they were as hard and slabs of concrete. i've heard of firm but those mattresses were not made for the human body. also please think about updating the decdor. my reservation was not as it should have been. even afet calling back to re-comfirm everything and repeating myself of what we had booked to the person on the other end of the phone, upon arriveing at the hotel GUESS WHAT we did not have the right rooms eve though we paid for them. lucky for us the hotel had them available and made it right."

"I haven't stayed here in a long time. We were here 3 nights. From the moment I walked in, the smoke overwhelmed me. We went to numerous casinos but this one was so smoky everywhere, my eyes were watering. This was all hours day or night. The maid opened the door without knocking (late afternoon well after the room was cleaned) . I couldn't make the fan on the A/C run continuous to block out the noise. The breakfast buffet ($16) was good. The brisket at Dicks had good flavor, but the other guests at our table complained about limp lettuce on their salad. The elevators were fast. I got numerous bug bites during the night on my feet. I won't stay again."

"The hotel is very dirty. Most staff are not very friendly. We were in tower I, and the toliet constantly ran. And the decor was similar to the 70s with tons of cigarette smoke to scent the air (eeeeeew). We asked and paid for a king and got 2 queens on the 2nd level. We were told if we wanted a better view of the strip we had to pay $38 (yes on a booking confirmation it said different). Every where you turn, someone wants your money but I guess that is vegas. I found Freemont to be less expensive when it came to food compared to the strip. And the time share staff never give up and asked us over and over again the same question.
I would not stay at this hotel again."

"I stayed here with my teenage daughters for spring break 2013. The room in Tower II was ok with the 2 queen beds. One of the sheets on top of the bed had a blood stain on it. A light bulb in the bathroom was out. The soaps are cheap. The smell in the hotel and casino is really bad. The people working at registration are un-friendly.
They misrepresent the true cost for the rooms. There are extra fees for internet and 'resort' fees that are unexplained. There is an internet fee that we could not use since we didn't bring our 'ethernet cable' with us when we were expecting WiFi. This is 2013, correct?? Dicks restaurant, located on the pathway between the hotel and the rooms, has terrible and expensive food, charges between $5 and $10 for a regular drink, and the waiter, if you can call him that. About the pools. The music they play on their speakers are very, very loud and annoying. The rules on what you can and cannot bring into the pool are inconsistent and ridiculous. Why we cannot bring a bottle of water into the pool area is beyond me. Being out in the hot and dry weather here in Las Vegas, one can get dehydrated very quickly. This is a health hazard to say the least.
Next time I'm going to a hotel that is honest, clean and provides what you pay for."

"I have stayed here 4 times now. I have no complaints. Its very reasonably priced for what you get. I usually only eat at Dicks. There are so many other restaurants close by that its not an issue.
We enjoyed Tournament of Kings and Thunder from Down Under.
The rooms are quite large. Our room was clean. What more do you need for a reasonable price? And really how much time do you spend in your room in Vegas.
I do agree that the resort charges are a ripoff but they are at almost every hotel on the strip. So you either live with them or stay off strip.
I will stay at the Excalibur again."

"I was very impressed with the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas. I read a few poor reviews before our trip and was delighted to find them untrue. We stayed in the Deluxe Room in Tower 1, and found our room to be clean and spacious upon arrival. The hotel staff proved to be courteous and friendly, housekeeping was very accommodating to our schedule, and the food selection at the hotel was outstanding. We will certainly stay at the Excalibur for our next visit to Las Vegas!"

"The walk from the reservation desk to the room was about a quarter mile. We had to lug our bags all the way through the casino. The room was nice but the thermostat didn't work so we were either hot or cold all night long. There was no coffee shop so we only had the buffet or fast food. The buffet was horrible, cold food with no flavor. We won't be back.

"My experience with Excalibur was not go great. I got an ok deal not the cheapest not the most expensive but it should have been the cheapest.The sheets on the bed were so old they had tears in them, cue tip on the floor when we got there on Sunday, was still there on Friday when we left. Short curly hairs all over the bath floor & rug... Ugh... And suspicious stains on the beds dust ruffle, dust and who knows all around the edge of the room. I am hoping the rest of the hotel has been updated, the tower 1 rooms were outdated and pictures missing from the walls dents etc. grungy/dirty. Was expecting a little more from this particular property.. I guess you get what you pay for & a little less. Would not recommend to anyone, spend the same somewhere else or a little more. Also they had staff promoting a new property who every time you walked by they would attack you, wanting you to sign up for a 'free' show that costs you $50.& 3-4hrs of your time to sit thru a seminar. We stayed for 6 days and It got really, really annoying! Rude! They were soliciting at all of the for properties. There has to be a better way for them to promote. The buffet at the Excalibur wasn't good, so we tried the Luxors apparently it all comes off the same truck! The meat was flavorless and so tough you couldn't chew it & for $24.00 I was expecting a bit more. I live in Washington and the Indian casinos buffets are wonderful, cheaper and well worth any price. Good luck on planning your vegas trip. Just so you know this is the first time in my 40 years that I have ever felt the 'need' to write a review."

"It was a last minute planning and out of all the casinos we have stayed in vegas this one was by far the worse. I had requested a non smoking room and I got a smoking room because they were all booked. Which I thought it sucked but I wanted to make the best of the time being there besides the fact we were there for one day and I didn't wanna waste time looking for another room to stay. We got to the room and it smelled soo bad as cigarettes. We open the window and requested a spray and we still got a headache from the smell. There was no refrigerator and there was stains all over the carpet. I went to grab some ice and the ice machine closes to the room was out so I had to go to another floor and hope that I could get some ice out of that machine. And to top it off the hallways were super dirty and trashy. It was just bad all over. So I don't recommend this place and I won't be coming back. The Hilton hotel is way better than this place."

"Spending Easter Weekend in Las Vegas was a last minute idea. I saw the reviews and was a little nervous about staying at the Excalibur Hotel but I couldn't refuse the low price on the room. Upon our arrival, we checked in and were given our room early 'without' incurring additional charge. The staff was amazing, efficient, and super friendly. We booked the special for the Contemporary Room and I must say I was very surprised. The rooms were very clean, updated, and NO stinky smell of cigarettes. My overall experience at the Excalibur was amazing. I have many positive things to say. Great Experience!"

"I thought it was a pretty good deal until I was checking in. $15 a day resort fee plus $1.80 tax. Ridiculous. Upon arrival, first thing I noticed was no batteries in the TV remote. Then there was a short or something in a TV cable. Took a bit to get the TV working. The maintenance man they sent up did minimal amount of work to get it working. Never really fixed the problem. Air conditioner never worked. Casino reeked of cigarette smoke, one of the worst I was in. Really messed with my sinuses. Would not recommend."

Hidden price is everywhere. 15 dollars per night, which the search does not show. It is shown with small characters during your booking, you probably will notice it only when you print the Itinerary. They also wanted to charge for a baby crib (30$ a night), while it is clearly stated that it should be free for our order. There is no freezer in the room, they provide it for 25 dollars. '20 dollar beverages and food' coupon you won't be able to spend in any normal place -- where most people eat -- it is valid only for extremely expensive steakhouse, where 20$ covers half of entree. Other hotels provide better coupons. There is no normal wireless internet connection: there is wired internet in the room but if you are with a smartphone or ipad you will have hard time to find a place where internet is available."

"If your looking for a cheap 'motel' type place to stay, then do it....otherwise, don't waste your time or money. This place was a big disapointment! The hotel looks nice from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you can see how run down and old it is. It is dirty and smells of stale cigarettes. Not sure what the other check in staff is like personality wise, but the check in agent and manager that helped us was arrogant and rude. Cleaning staff was nice and very helpfull. I would not stay at this hotel again and will not recommend it to friends."

"This is my third stay at Excalibur. I loved the hotel and the staff was pleasant. One thing, I ordered a mini-refrigerator for my room and it never arrived so I went down to the first desk and cancelled, the front desk could not give me a reason why it wasn't delivered after 1 day since orderd. Oh well! Other than that, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. The price was good and a very good location too!"

"We stayed here and it was horrible! we will never come here again, the staff was rude, the rooms were dirty and kept breaking, we had to call hel desk to get a maintenance guy up there and we had to call 6 times before the guy showed up because they kept saying within a few minutes, it took over 3 hours for some to show and it was super late, but the guy who finally showed was nice and did not accept a tip or pay since he was late. we put do not disturb signs on the door, and maids threw it on the floor and came into the rooms anyways, which is rude and disrespectful, we had many more problems and will never stay here again, it may be cheap but i don't recommend it.."

"Body language says a lot in employees. The valet guys looked noticeably disgruntled while I was pulling up to the casino. Before I could even check in, I was verbally attacked by people INSIDE the casino, trying to sell me show tickets. Nothing special about the room. It was about what should be expected. The buffet is nothing close to a 'WOW!' factor. We were seated, then went through the line, sat back down and began eating. after about 8 minutes, a server came by and said if we wanted a drink, the beverage station was 'over there'. I never been to a buffet where I did everything myself, except bus and wash my own dishes.
In all fairness, I will say that upon entering our room for the first time and turning on the air conditioner, it made a very loud thumping sound. I called the concierge desk who within 3-4 minutes had a engineer up to replace the motor and who was very polite."

"Hotel looked good external but is bad inside the room as far as my room goes. I cannot talk about others rooms because i never entered any other. Call to the reception for a change simply got the reply that our wing of the hotel will soon undergo refurbishing.
The had no cabinet fridge, coffee maker or even a small radio. These are the things you find in a standard hotel unless the standard in Vegas is to eliminate these things so thst guest will spent as much money as possible in the hotel.

"The stay was great. For the most part the majority of the staff is very friendly and helpful with the exception of the pool waitstaff - they could be a bit more pleasant and helpful. They would often stand around and talk with the other pool waitstaff prior to delivering customers drinks. Did see what appeared to be manager/supervisor have to go out and tell them something about them just standing around several times so we give her credit. We will definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was very nice, we were able to check right in at 10 am with no additional charge. I called for extra towels but had to call again because they never did arrive. Be prepared for very expensive drinks if you are at the pool area, you can not bring any drinks in from the outside either.
The all day buffet either at the excalibur or Luxor was very nice for the price...$35. dollars from 7am until 10 pm at either hotel.
So for the value and the service this was a great deal, there were 5 of us that went on this trip."

"My friend and I had a great time at Excalibur Hotel and Casino. It's so big, it's like a city within itself. There were many good places to eat, drink and lounge. The casino was top notch. There were many different games and machines to choose from. My main concern was that the room was not properly maintained by maintenance. There were two mounting holes, fully exposed on the bathroom wall. As if someone pulled something off of it. There was no tub, the shower had very low water pressure. We had to stand directly under the shower head to get some water. LOL! There was no refrigerator. And also the TV kept losing its cable signal from time to time. That was kind of annoying. But as I said, all and all we had a great time. The house cleaning staff was excellent!"

"Worst hotel I've been. We went here 2 groups of families (9 total guests) to experience it because it looks entising for our children ( we've been to LUXOR, STRATOSPHERE, MONTE CARLO, RIVIERA, etc). NO refrigerator in room (xtra $25 charge) even Riviera Hotel has refrigerator in room. Registration staff no effort to check a good room for us & stated my name was mispelled couldn't find my name...so we ended up with a bad room close to room 10 & 12 on the 10th floor bad view...with the amount we paid which was a weekend rate (fri-sun). The bathroom sink faucet even cut my finger & my son's as well coz it' so old that a small metal part is sticking out ( can't even see it right away) and when you twist the knob unknowingly you get a deep cut ( deep papaer cut type that it'll bleed)... BATHROOM is so old (only has walk in shower- does not even have a corner to place your toiletries so they're handy when u shower...just too old..) THE POOL was not the best either, needs updating. Only has regular pools w/ jacuzzi type pools ( LUXOR, MONTE CARLO, MANDALAY BAY has very updated pools & they're beautiful). SELF PARKING is far from hotel; you have to pay for VALET parking everytime you leave the hotel if u wish Valet. OVER ALL LESSON .. if the hotel is old and does not have photo of their pools or rooms/ bathrooms expect that they are ugly and not worth the money. JUST NOT WORTH COMINGBACK everything was just a bad experience..."

"At check in i asked if or how much the resort fees were the lady told me 15 dollars an i asked one time she said yes and when we, my girlfriends and my daughter checked out we had to pay 200 dollars i was very upset cause we were there 6 days spent a high amount of money in that casino for my daughters 21st birthday and to be suprised with an added cost and it was my first time going to vegas so i probably wont be back if thats how people like to swindle more money out of you . The toliet would not flush, the lights in the bathroom kept flickering, we had a view and the noise of the air conditioning system. We were put in the back of the hotel I guess where you put the few Black visitors you get. There were no pictures on the wall, no coffee pot, not refrigerator. We were never talked to about upgrades to a better room, during check in. When we informed them of the problem with the bathroom toliet not flushing, they sent some guy who was there 30 seconds to tell us that it was working again and on the day we left, it had feces still floating in the toliet.rn rnWe were not offered any incentives until we complained about the accomadation on the day we were departing and then they wanted us to pay them $99.00 and them come back at some later date, and said they were going to refund the resort fee of $16.35, which has showed up on my bank account as a charge rather than a credit . rnrn D I DOUBT IT VERY SERIOUSLY IF I WILL EVER STAY AT THE EXCALIBUR AGAIN UNLESS IT IS FOR FREE AND IN ANOTHER BUILDING. "We recently went to Las Vegas and stayed at Excalibur. Our room was nice and clean. The biggest problem was we were right next to the elevators (literally the elevators were on the other side of the wall where the head of the bed was). So it made for some restless nights. Also they have a huge resort fee of 14 dollars a night. The toilet only had one bolt in it holding it down to the floor too. Otherwise it was fine, the view was nice and the amenities were good. "

They locked us out of our room on accident 2 different times and they way the handled it was inexcusable!! Also this Dicks Last Resort restaurant bar staff inside the hotel are trained to be rude to guests and they take it WAY TOO FAR. NOT IMPRESSED!! Very poor service all around, will not be staying at this hotel or going to Dick's again! Vegas....HELLO PEOPLE, who runs out of liquor and beer on the way to LAS VEGAS??!!!!! "I was greatly appreciated when they told me that they have connecting rooms and that would leave us to still have our privacy, but not totally disconnected from our friends. The slot tournament was better than I thought, but my vacation was not as long as I wished it was! The tournament of Kings was just awesome, and had never seen anything like it before. Would greatly recommend, especially if you have small kids from 5 yrs to teens years. The atmosphere was pleasantly calm and appealing even with all the pool parties happening close by. Was very happy with everything I saw there. The only thing I was bummed about was that I had acheieved 750 pts., and couldn't get my SWEET TEA VODKA before I left for home."

"I found the beds to be comfortable and I was very happy that our room had a safe. The room was comfortable. It was easy to get to our rooms and the hotel was very easy to navigate. I was traveling with a group. When we booked, we had asked that our rooms be close but they were not. I did not like how there were these people who always tried to get you to come and take advantage of their 'FREE' promotion. It was tickets to some of the shows. They were not free and they should not be allowed to try and get you that way. Two of us were celebrating our birthdays on this trip. I was not expecting much but there wasn't anything done to wish us a Happy Birthday...which was disappointing. I found that the bartenders did not want to serve us when we had our free drink coupons...even though we were tipping. I was unhappy with the pool. We were already paying a resort fee and then were to pay to use the chairs. Yes, there were some free chairs but they were away from the pools, up along the hot wall....at least those were the only ones available every time we went down."

"When we first checked into our hotel. They gave us these cards for free drinks. All the while they had me sign here, initals here. When I asked what all of it was they said it was the rate we paid for the room and if we use the phone there will be charges. So I put down my initals. No biggie right??? WRONG!!! DO NOT USE THE FREE DRINK CARDS. They cost 7.50 each. and ends up being another 125.00 on your card. So our room that we thought ended up costing us 250 ended up costing us 375. That is an expense we did not plan to have. So coming home we were short. Had we known ahead of time we would have planned for it. Or just NOT used the cards. WE WILL NOT RETURN!!! Nor will I recommend it to any family or friends."

The casino was a little dirtier than I expected and the rooms seemed to be very basic, especially for the price. They didn't have refrigerators or microwaves available for the guest, which was a bit of a disappointment. "Stay here a few years ago in Tower II with a remodeled room which was lovely, but the bed was hard as a rock and killed my back. This time Tower I was a bit dated, but very clean with new carpet and the bed was perfect! 97 degrees the first two days and no problems finding a chair at the pools. Good value for the all day buffet $32 per person all day. Easy early check in and very fast check out. Can't wait to go back!"

"My husband and I stayed in Vegas for 2 nights, 3days. As soon we walked in, you can see how busy the hotel is. The casino is right in the center. Check-in was fast and friendly. Same when checking out. We stayed in tower 2 which is the tower with remodeled rooms, like the ones in the pictures. In tower 1 are the more royal antique looking rooms. Our hotel room was clean, and cleaning staff is friendly. The pool area is nice as well, there is a bar outside near the pool so that was a plus. there's 4 different pools, but the chairs fill up fast. the pool is only open from 9am-6pm. We only ate at the buffet for breakfas once and it was good, a great variety, we ate at ABX Burger joint, which was good as well, you build your own burger there. They have shops upstairs, and there's a convient store upstairs that is open 24/7 and a McDonalds that's open 24/7 as well, well it was open past 4am when our friends and I came back from the nightclubs on Sunday morning. And they have other eateries as well upstairs. Overall we had a pleasurable stay, would definitely stay here again, no complaints."

"This was the perfect hotel, stayed in Tower 1 very convenient to casino and restaurants and shops and connections to other hotels. Was in room a lot but it was perfect when we went to room, we would leave and come back and beds made new towels trash out. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Great view up other hotels. Simple nothing fancy. Loved the safe you create your own password and I put cell phone iPad and jewelry in. I forgot to out in safe 1 day when I left room and stuff was still laying on bed untouched and cleaning people had been in room. Overall experience was great. They had security at bottom level and police officers. Pool closed to early but didn't get to swim. Check in was horrible only 3 people at counter but guy that helped us was very helpful and had knowledge of stuff in Vegas. Thumbs up to the hotel...."

"I stayed here 3 years ago when my sisters and I made our first trip to Las Vegas, and based on that experience I felt it would be great to stay there with my Husband this time for our belated honeymoon. It was a mistake. Our hotel room wasn't the cleanliest in the world, all over the room there were signs that the maid service did not take genuine care when preparing for new occupants.(i.e. dust bunnies everywhere, dirty floor in bathroom, magazines with weird film in them, dirty windows.) Our television and lights on half the room worked intermittantly and when I called down to the service desk to inform them they told me they were aware of it already but couldn't do anything for it. Check out was at 3:30 am for us on Friday and it took 34 minutes to check out, by the time we got to the clerk for check out we were treated rudely. This was not at all the hotel I remembered, and I am saddened to have such a terrible stay there especially because it was Mine and My husbands first vacation together ever."

"The room was ok- you could tell they didnt put alot of effort in cleaning behind things, the pool slide wasnt even open when we were told it would be, and the bartenders were real rude, wouldnt even give me a drink of water without charging 3 dollars, and our party of 6 people probably at least spent 3-400-dollars, unbelievable !!! and not to mention my daughters husband in another room, cut his leg on a spring in the mattress,and they could not have cared less, all they did was replace the thing after waiting 3hrs in the room, then before that the maid had the nerve to tell us to leave the room so she could clean. they offered no comps or anything for the cut on his leg, we spent 3 hrs in the hospital emergency room, really rude management, never again."

"We had such a great time. Everything went so smooth.. We had a short delay at the airport but thats about all. We checked in in the middle of the night and we had to problems at all. We did have to pay 15.00 more dollars a night which I had know clue of but You always have to be ready for suprises. It was a great time regardless. The rooms were clean and nice modern looking. We had a very nice view. The staff was very nice and even one day we needed more towels it took them not even 5 minutes until they came with our towels. The pool area was so nice. Three pools and my favorite a adult pool! The waitress outside was amazing and was always asking if we needed anything. It was a great stay and I would defenatly return to this hotel. "I will start by saying this hotel was an EXCELLENT value for the money. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a widescreen room at no extra charge. The rooms were pretty nice for the cost. We had a nice view.. but who goes to Vegas to stay in the room? We did have an issue with the thermostat, it was either always too hot or too cold. And the shower had some trouble draining, but other than that the rooms were great. Along with our reservation, 2 free buffet admissions were included. We ate there for dinner one night (I definitely would not pay $20 on my own for a buffet dinner!) and the buffet was great. My friend is a vegetarian and there were lots of options for her as well. The casino/ lobby area was awful. This is the only reason I would not return to the hotel or recommend it to anyone. Casino is dingy, smoky, full of loud booming music, and there were exotic dancers on the tables. We were also assulted by timeshare people from another resort EVERY time we walked through. Don't even stop to talk to them, just keep on walking. The people at the front desk were incredibly rude, and THEY got irritated with ME when I asked them to explain why they needed to put THREE holds on my credit card ((none of them could figure out why!!)). The only great service we received here was from the bartender at the Jester's Lounge. I think next time I go to Vegas I would like to stay more center-strip and at a hotel where I don't have to walk through a ghetto to get to my room. We did really like how the tram went directly to Mandalay Bay. We used a bunch of restaurant.com vouchers over there to eat for cheap. Walking through the classier hotels and casinos made us realize how much we disliked the one at this hotel "

"My first visit in June 2011 was Excelent. I rebooked for Mar.2012 thinking I had the same deal with the buffets. When we checked in we were told we only received one buffet per stay. The previous trip was one buffet per day that we stayed. That was the basis for booking the trip. I have a time share in Las vegas that we usually stay at but we enjoyed going to all the different buffets. I feel like the buffet offer was misleading. It looked like the same deal. If it was one buffet per stay, I could have booked two three or four stays. and received two three or four buffets. It didn't make any sense except to be misleading. It's a shame because we enjoyed the first stay and we could have been regular Cust. We feel like the front desk could have handeled it better. We will go back to our time share now."

I was there only for 1 night. I don't need the internet, pool service and etc that the $15 was for. I think that resort fee is a rip off. It should be disclosed before making the reservation. "The rooms we okay for the price but what bothered me was housekeeping came into our room and didn't clean. Housekeeping took our towel and didn't replace them or make up the room; the only thing I saw was new soaps and shampoo.

"My wife and I made our annual visit to Las Vegas. We have been doing this for the past 8-9 years. The last 6 years we have stayed at Excalibur because of the convenience and reasonable cost.
However this year there were some inconveniences that that made our experience less than enjoyable.First, I agree with other vacationers that the people hired to give (sell in reality) free tickets to upcoming shows were a pest. Every time you walk past them they were trying to pull you to the side to talk about tickets or dinners. This is not what we go to Vegas for. If we wanted tickets we would have pre-paid for them when we made our reservations as we have done in the past. We don't go there to listen to hype on time shares or supposedly free gifts, which in reality is not free. There should be a limit to their access to guest. They have gotten to the point of annoying and one hate to even walk through the casino knowing they are going to be accosted by someone with something you are not interested in.
Secondly, the sink in the bathroom was stopped up when we arrived and the clock in the room was making a loud annoying ticking sound so that we had to unplug it to get some rest. Even though the staff sent someone up to unstop the sink it was after midnight that they had to work in our room. We were already dressed for bed but waited on them to unstop the sink. Then when the staff brought a new clock, he could not install it because the old one was attached to the night stand which meant another person had to come and unattach it. Finally the first staff person returned and said the other guy was busy and couldn't come so he just cut the cord and plugged up the new one without atttaching it to the night stand, leaving it available for anyone to steal if they so chosen.
Then we get a call from the main desk the day before we were to leave saying we were only booked for 4 nights when in actually we had paid for five nights. However, the staff at Excalibur failed to book the 5th night. We were asked to go back down to the front desk to have our keys re-keyed because they would no longer work after 12 noon that day. It was after nooon when we were told this so if we had gone out earlier we would not have been able to get back in our room where all of our things were and would not have known why the keys no longer worked! After the re-keying we were told to stop by the front desk and pay the extra night resort fee which they failed to charge when we checked in. These are things that should have already been verified before we checked in. Once it was verified the housekeeping failed to clean our room that day because they thought we we checking out. By late evening when we saw they were not going to clean the room we had to call for clean towels and wash cloths for the night.
This year there were too many problems that we should not have had to deal with which made our stay less than comfortable. I regret we had such a bad experience this year, for in our past visits everything was great. We should not have had to pay the extra night resort fee since it was not our error. Will we stay there again? Only time will tell. Next year we will think twice before booking here!! We are unsure at this time."

"Excalibur is a cheap hotel but what is the old saying 'You get what you pay for'. I upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi and within 5 mins of checking in the ceiling fell from the room above. Was moved to the top floor only to find out that the air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. Ate the breakfast buffet and it has got to be one of the worse I have ate in yeats for the money spent. I will always spend the money in the future and stay at a better hotel. Be a bit careful about prices of your drinks if you go to any of the bars you better iff going to a penny bandit n get your drinks free just give a couple of dollor tip.While there take a trip to freemont street go night out you can get a 24 hour bus ticket takes you up n down the strip for 7 dollors well worth it stops at all the hotels have a good time we did"

"This hotel is for you if you want to save money for shows and diners. If you came to Vegas to gamble and party and have fun and just need a place for your luggage and to shower and sleep. "The Excalibur is nice for the price, but it does pale in comparison to most of the newer places on the strip. I don't mean that as a dig on the Ex, rather I'm just stating my opinion. It would be the ideal place to stay if you're bringing along your kids (why would you do this???). Unfortunately I did experience a few minor issues on this stay. For 3 of our 5 day stay we experienced problems with the bathroom sink draining. We also had a broken ironing board and had to request a new iron twice before we got one that worked properly.
Overall it was another great Vegas trip. Despite the few issues with the Excalibur we still enjoyed our stay there immensely. The staff is topnotch and goes out of there way to accommodate its guests. Not sure how soon I'll stay there again, as I usually like to try a different place each time, but I would definitely recommend it to 1st timers and families because of its location and affordability."

"I must say I enjoyed staying at this Casino. I upgraded to the spa room and really loved the time I was able to spend in it. Please be advised all these people will tell you that you won't end up spending that much time in the hotel room so don't get a better room. Don't listen to them. Upgrade and I'm sure you'll be happy you did. The staff their are very friendly and the view of the strip is amazing."

"I booked us into Excalibur for a stress free fun relaxing trip for myself and my daughter. I am a senior and my daughter has been stressed out from working.
This would be the last place that I would ever go again. Upon arriving I had to go to the bathroom, had to walk all the way through the casino to get to one. There was so much smoke that it was so bad I almost wanted to cancel and go somewhere else but we talked it over and realized this would not be a good choice.
We could not gamble at the Excalibur for everywhere people were smoking like mad and there is not enough ventilation in the building.
The buffet wasn't bad but just walking to it was horrible. So we only ate there once. The other 3 days we found better places that we could actually breathe better.
Our free buffet we used at the Aria but after standing in line for 1 hour they would not accept the coupon for the Two Complimentary Buffets! Aria was on the top of the coupon!!! She had to call the Excalibur to verify that we were actually staying there but then I had to pay for the buffet and they said Excalibur would refund the 42.00. This was totally a bunch of bull, since we were told we could use the coupon with at any of the other MGM owned buffets. So the 2nd buffet was ruined by the coupon not being accepted and standing another 15 minutes before we were finally allowed in.
3rd day we went to the Luxor for dinner and not only was it easier walking because their ventilation was 100% better but we were also able to gamble and breathe at the same time.
NO I would not go back to the Excalibur nor would I recommend it to anyone. Especially seeing all the children running all over that Hotel breathing the same smoke into their lungs that we had to breathe also."

"This hotel was neat and clean. However we were suprised that the room did not have a refrig or microwave or coffee maker. And the TV only had 10 TV Stations. Everything else was okay. I did not like the location. I would stay further down Las Vegas Blvd the next time we take the trip out to Vegas. I guess you get what you pay for these days. Nothing special at this hotel. Lots of solistors inside selling shows etc.==very bothersome everytime you went by them."

"My stay at the this hotel was okay. The bathroom plug blew out the second day. I called the front desk and they fixed it. I wasnt happy with the pushy sales people trying to get everyone to sign up for their timeshare. I feel that these sales people waited for us to check in and then pounced on us.I walk with a cane, so it was pretty easy to tell I was just trying to walk. I am disabled and was very tired at the moment. So to rope me into something when I am in cognitive fatigue and physical pain due to my MS, I felt was unfair. The room was good tho."

"I couldn't understand why a hotel would let solicitors inside there doors to bother there customers. I felt like the Hotel didn't care about my stay. every time I walked in the casino I has someone trying to sell me a time share... I went there for a Vacation and felt like I was being solictied to by something from some one I didn't know I didn't want that... When I asked to speak with management they said they don't work for us, so why do you let them in the door. I will never stay there again. I would rather sleep on the corner of the street."

"Arrived on Friday evening, only to find they did not have my 2 room reservation from Bookit.com:( Thankfully I had brought my receipt, so they were able to research and fulfill my reservation. The Registration clerk was very helpful, and upgraded our rooms for the inconvenience! After that, we had a great time!! Dick's Resort is a hoot! Our rooms were clean, hotel was clean and an overall fun environment and good weekend:)"

"Our family traveled to Las Vegas for a family wedding. We decided to stay the week and enjoy the warm fall weather. Very nice hotel and room with no complaints. Great shops and eating places on the 2nd floor and wonderful kids area downstairs. Went to Tournament of Kings and that show was FANTASTIC!!! Would go to see it again anytime and would recommend it highly!!! Would definitely stay at the Excalibur again. Location on the strip was perfect too!"

"This is Humayun's Dad. I let my son arrange this trip for us. The location is very convenient and is not too far from the center of the Strip. The view of other major hotels and casinos is wonderful especially at night.
The food court and the gift shops on site provide a variety of choices at a very reasonable cost. I don't have anything negative to say about the facility except a bit loud conversation of the cleaning crew in the hallway early in the morning ignoring the fact that these unwanted noises will disturb most of the guests who normally don't come back to their rooms until the day break after their scheduled activities. I hope this constructive criticism leads toward some positive steps in this area."

"My recent stay of 4 nights at the Excalibur Hotel was fantastic. The hotel is situated at the southern end of the 'Strip' but gave me the opportunity to explore and get my bearings of the Strip. I totally love Dicks Last Resort - Last stop Bar, (inside the hotel) the band every night was the best. I had relatives staying in more expensive accommodation elsewhere and couldn't believe what I got for the price. Also I would like to note that I was given a 'Free' upgrade upon my check-in & semi 'Strip' view from my room. Wow this hotel is a must and if ever I am back in LV I will be staying at the Excalibur Hotel."

We travel to Las Vegas every year and for the past 7 years or more we have stayed at Excalibur. We like the location of the Casino as well as the availability of it to all the other casinos. But most important we love playing the slot machines here better than any of the other casinos on the strip. We have played in just about every casino on the strip and Excalibur rates number one for us. Thank you for making our annual trip enjoyable, comfortable and fun. "Definetely one of the best (inexpensive) casinos. The other casinos in its price range looked really run down or were too far away from the rest of the casinos on the strip. Very close to some great souvenir shops. We used the $32 per day Buffet the whole time we were there and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms are simple but they have all the things you need for a Vegas stay. They even checked us out over the phone to get us to the airport faster."

"Very pleased with the cleanliness and frienliness of the Excaliber Hotel and Casino. Easy check in and out. The casino staff was always there asking you if you want a beverage. "My boyfriend and I arrived at 9am too early to get our room. So we checked in our bags and met up with friends for breakfast @ New York New York. Once we were able to get into our room our bags were immediately brought to our room. Room was nice size & clean. Bathroom was big, only had a shower but that was okay very clean. Our bed was made up daily and always were given clean towels. Most of the staff was pleasant. We stayed 4nights. The Excalibur was a great location because we were attending an event at the MGM. We took advantage of the $32 all you day buffet was very pleased. We ate at another hotels buffet and were disappointed. The hotel overall was clean. We went to other higher priced hotels on the strip and they were not as clean. The day before we left the staff printed out our boarding passes at no charge. We will definitely stay at Excalibur again on our next visit. "

"My sister got married in Vegas and we stayed at the Excalibur for this celebration. The hotel was clean and right on the strip so there is not much more that I could ask for. Staff was friendly and there was more than enough to do within the hotel as far as shopping and restaurants. The only thing I would complain about would have been the fact that there is no bathtub in our room, simply a shower that had such strong water pressure it felt like your skin was tearing. Overall I would stay there again not only for the convenience but also for the price in comparison to most hotels on the strip."

"The Hotel stay and Staff were all excellent and helpful. My one exception was...When I submitted my credit card to pay for the Hotel room on line
I expected to pay for my room in advance and not have to worry about any charges added as I registered.
I wasn't told about the additional $14.00 additional charge per night. until I got to the registration counter. While I had expected to pay the $35.00 dollar per night (plus tax) i would of liked to of known about any ancillary or additional charges when making my reservations.. It would benefit your customers to know the full charges and not have them sprung on you as you get to the hotel..!!"

"I've stayed here twice and enjoyed it each time. Great value, great location and a nice hotel over all. At first I was worried about the 'kid factor,' but once I got there I noticed they are under ground and out of the way. Location is great, and getting to a good number of hotels and events is easy from this location. I've seen their dinner show with the Knights and horses and it's fun. Food is average, but you're there for the show as it is. Would stay here again."

"i went with my boyfriend and our best friend to stay at the excalibur. when we got to the hotel we found that we got free room upgrades! staff was friendly every where we went in the hotel. the chambermaid staff could of been a little more clean than they were (dust everywhere) and sheets could of been changed more often but, towels were changed when you left them on the floor. the sunbathing area was amazing although one of the pools was quite dirty which we only went in once. the bigger pool was cleaner but, was often closed for reasons we werent told. it was also very well life guarded which is great if you have kids. this was our first time to vegas and the excalibur, and all in all it was the best time we had. if you can you must go and see the shows, especially cirque du soleil mystere at treasure island hotel. best thing i have EVER seen. 95 dollars each we paid, which is a little steep but, soooooooo worth it. we ate at dennys every morning which is a little way down the strip from the excalibur but, was a nice walk in the beautiful weather. we will be going back next year with our daughter who will be 14 by then, and i think she will absolutely love it. so cant wait for next year. i think america is amazing, we've been to florida as well and this holiday was definitely up there with that. hope this review helped make up your mind to go to vegas and the excalibur!!
