Just checked in at Candlewood suites. This is my second stay at the hotel, and I prefer this over the strip resorts. It's quiet, safe and parking is available close to your room and the rooms are amazing. Staying in a 1 bedroom suite gives you all the space you need. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Truly a gem just 1 mile east of the strip. Big plus for HBO channels.

We spent the best winter of 2016 at the Candlewood Suites Las Vegas on Paradise and Flamigo a half a mile off the a Strip. We spent three great months. The suites are very roomy, furnished with everything and cleaned weekly. Kitchen utensils, wonderful high end nonstick pans. They also supply dish soap, dishwasher soap and paper towel. Dishes and glassware for four. We had eight couples in our group. Cheryl and the entire staff went out of their way to insure we had a good time. Even supplying us ... Read more

An oasis on Paradise, "surrounded" by decent, local restaurants offering far better value than those on the Strip which is only a short drive away. Not popular with the "family" crowd as there's no free breakfast so no moronic kids charging up and down the corridors. We've stayed here twice and haven't even heard a door slam! This hotel attracts those looking for a quiet stay. Large, clean rooms with good "office" facilities, if you want them, and plenty of (free) parking.

Cynthia is wonderful and was very helpful when I arrived in the middle of the night and the staff always has a smile on their face, the rooms are the cleanest I have seen in a long time and I stay with IHG whenever I travel and they are available. This is one of my favorite for Las Vegas. It has a great location, great service, great rooms and great staff. It is like a taste of home away from home. The mini suite design is nice for family or a group of friends. It easily provides a way to keep expenses down by sharing the suite. It provides a full kitchen to help save money from eating out. The staff is always very helpful in making suggestions and giving directions.

We stayed here for nearly three weeks, while relocating to Vegas. We had a 2 bedroom suite, and a regular one room suite. This hotel is in a perfect location, so many restaurants within walking distance, and if you ask for room with a view, you can see the strip, I could see the MGM from my bed. I think it's 2-3 miles away. Our room was huge! It was more like an apartment, fully furnished kitchen, we had two bedrooms, so we got four sets of dishes, my son had the one room, they got two sets... Read more

I was only staying here because I bought a Holiday Inn Resort package to check out their timeshare program. The resort rooms were full so the only hotel they could put me at without a lot of extra fees was this one. I've stayed at other Candlewood suites and they were pretty good so I didn't have any trepidations. It is set up as an extended stay motel. The room is clean and well appointed. The window type air conditioner was really noisy, but I use earplugs. The staff was nice, and profess... Read more

This hotel is approximately 1 mile from the strip. It's location is still in downtown Vegas. We enjoyed it because it was a quieter location than being right on the strip. There are several restaurants across the street if you don't want to drive to eat. We walked to the strip one evening- it's a flat walk and would be very enjoyable had it not been for the 108 degree heat! The staff was very courteous. Pluses: - Comfortable, clean room. - Very friendly, personable, helpful front desk staff. - Close to many good local and chain restaurants. I recommend: "Tacos and Beer", "Satay Thai Bistro", "Firefly" - Loved the availability of DVDs, books, small appliances for no charge. - Liked that my room wasn't cleaned every day. Cons: - The whole hotel smelled strongly of carpet deodorizer I'm guessing, including my room. Nice in a small d... Read more

Stayed 2 nights at Candlewood. For a suite where you basically look after yourself it has everything you need. I didn't like the bed but I think that's just personal preference. Front counter staff were very helpful and the gym was better than most small establishments with many cardio machines and a few weight machines. Close enough to the strip that you can walk back if you have between 20 and 45 minutes spare, depending on where you are.

There are three reasons I would stay here again: First, the hotel is quite in general. Candlewood is about 2-3 miles away from the southern part of strip, I would not claim you can walk all the way to the strip but it means this hotel is more for families or couples. I stayed at second floor (217) right in front the elevator. Normally you would expect to avoid that area, but my family spent 3 nights, including weekend, without having any troubles. We have spent the last few nights here and have enjoyed it very much. The front desk employees are so nice and helpful and the hotel is also dog friendly . Comfy beds and full kitchens are also a plus. We will definitely be back on our next trip. I would have given 5 stars except for the pet charge. I know a lot of dogs probably make a mess but mine doesn't so I don't like being charged a pet fee. But other than that the fee is low enough it wasn't too bad. It won't keep us away.

Normally I would give this hotel 5 stars. Friendly service and clean updated rooms. Numerous police visits, fist fights and people hanging out drinking in front of the hotel all night really soured our opinion of this property. Not really the fault of the hotel I suppose, but perhaps the location. We left at 4 AM for the airport and people still hanging around in front of the hotel drinking. I suppose this is Vegas.

This is my second time staying here. I really enjoy this hotel. It's close enough to the strip (about a 8min drive) but it's far enough from the traffic. The staff is nice as well. Only downfall is the parking. It's always pretty packed.

Booked here last minute for a business trip. It's not in a very good part of town and I didn't venture out at night. Room was okay, smelled a little and the bed was very uncomfortable. Glad I was only there for two nights.

There were a lot of free parking available and the location is good. They have a scheduled shuttle-bus to one of the shopping malls on Stripe. That makes it easy to get to Stripe and... Read more
