Stayed six days at Mardi Gras Hotel and casino memorial day weekend with my family and it was awesome stay. Very convenient to the strip or freemont st. The hotel rooms itself was nice and cleaned and I liked how the rooms was arranged and a bonus was one of our rooms had a beer opener on the wall talk about a hotel perk lol. If you need ANYTHING, I have found that they're not only courteous and friendly, but always try to help out. And this place seems to stay full, so that's not an easy task. I've stayed here several times. Rooms aren't 'modern,' but are large, clean, and have everything you need. They feel more like 'home,' than motel. Pool is very popular, especially with families. Very convenient area of town.

We were only in town for 1 night, so we just needed a place to lay our head down. The hotel is old, but that shouldn't mean that it is bad. The room (2 Queens beds) was very basic and in need of repairs. First, its a motel - the doors open up to the exterior. Our room was on the ground floor and opened up into the parking lot. The chain lock on the door was broken. The air conditioner was LOUD! So in order to sleep we had to leave it off and deal with the to warm to sleeping conditions in the ro... Read more

After a difficult time assisting my sister in finding an affordable place to stay with a shuttle I called the Mardi Gras and spoke with Eddy. Eddy was amazing! He walked me thru getting my sister taken care of with patience and fantastic customer service. Though I didn't stay here myself, I would, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Mardi Gras to anyone headed to Vegas. Thank you, Eddy!!

If you are looking for a quick place to crash for the night, look no further! The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Our flight got in at 11:30 so we just needed a cheap places to sleep for the night before heading to the Strip. Plus, there was a free shuttle that took us straight to Ballys and we could walk to the Paris from there.

Spent 6 nights at the Mardi Gras with my 12 year old daughter. It's about 2 miles from the strip, so close enough to get to, away from the noise. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, pool and property well maintained. I didn't try the restaurant, didn't gamble in their casino, or use the airport shuttle, so I can't speak about those. Absolute disgrace. On check-out we were informed we were being charged $100 for trashing the room. Not one thing was broken, just a few empty vodka bottles left in the room. Provided no photo evidence of the room to justify the charge. Claimed the room took an hour and a half to clean even though we had only checked out 45 minutes previously. We booked this as a stopover after flying in before picking up our car the next day. The place is a bit out of the way. The map looks like it's one block from the strip, but don't let Vegas fool you. Everything is five times as big in real life. It took us about half hour or so to walk from the hotel to the strip which bought us out by the Wynn. We spent 3 nights at Mard Gras Hotel and were not happy. It was not very clean, rooms needed maintenance, staff were not very helpful and I lost my wallet in their cafe when there were no other people there only the staff. First off, I have to reiterate how lovely the staff is. We stopped here for a cheap place to stay on a long road trip back from camping in Cali. Check-in was a nightmare because the internet went down and the line was out the door already. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly professional and nice, especially considering the situation. Housekeeping was also great and gave us a couple extra towels (camping- we were grimey). Stayed with a school group and felt less secure here than in other Vegas motels. Anyone could have access to rooms with no gates and little security. However, pool area was nice and large. Staff friendly. Some of our rooms on arrival had people still in them, but this was sorted quickly. Breakfast area was spacious. Rooms a little tired but spacious. All linen a little worn and grubby. Too far to comfortably walk to the Strip. However, for the price it was fine.

We always use this hotel mainly because it is small (300 rooms) and you won't end up fitting 2000 other people for space at the pool/bar/restaurant. In the past people have mentioned how "tired" the place appears but it is obvious that there is an ongoing process of updateing/improving the place. We particularly like the spacious rooms.
