They are a member of American Express Fine Hotels program. This hotel does not compare to The Mandarin or Four Seasons. Nice all suite property that is non smoking. I agree with other member reviews - they nickel and dime you to death ($4.87 for a plastic wine pull). The lobby is wonderful, and the rooms are clean. However they could use some updating.

Tired of the long Check-in lines , waiting for the Valet , the hiking boot walks , the stupid room keys that don't work , the suites that are not really sweet , then try the Delano .. great modern rooms ( 2 rooms 2 bathrooms ) .. great customer service ( front desk and valet ) .. great location ( easy in n out ) .. great private pool ( on the weekends) at the Mandalay Bay pool complex .. excited about returning !!

The Good: The rooms are suite style, with a separate living area and bedroom. This was nice, since we go annually on a mother/daughter weekend trip, and my mom is an early riser. She could get up and go read or watch the news while I slept, and when she went to bed a little early one night and I was still wide awake, I could watch a movie without disturbing her. We used the pool at Mandalay Bay daily, and it was a nice to have access to such a large pool area. It was a short walk to the M... Read more

My husband had a conference,so me and the girls came to have some fun. The hotel is incredibly confusing,we were lost 50% of the time. A positive, the rooms are nice-and negative-you can hear airplanes landing between 10 pm and 12 Am -loud! A huge negative- you have to walk through the entire casino in your wet swimsuit to get back to your room- A huge overlook!! I won't stay here again with my kids.

I would have loved to have graded this 5 and excellent but it was not perfect. So my husband and i are on our Honey moon, this was our last stop before we travelled home, we booked this a year ago. The Delano is two years hold and was formerly The Hotel which is connected to Mandalay Bay. The rooms are all suites and smartly decorated, comfortable with the usual Ametities. However, the don't give shower caps or hand lotion. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best part is guests have a private pool with comfortable lounge chairs. However, if you want an umbrella, it's $50 plus $50 for a Lounge chair that is the same as the ones you don't pay for. There are cabanas to rent. The casino ... Read more

Decor, ambience, staff - all great. Room was very stylish. Bath large enough for three! Very long walk to pool area. NO SHADE in 40+ degree heat....... Felt ripped off having to pay for rings on Lazy River. Tip: Just bring your own cheap inflatable . Cabana option is totally overpriced but many seemed happy to pay. Coffe in room was a silly $4 per cup. Tip: Bring your own Keurig pods. Housekeeping staff were lovely, however, we had to request extra towels and toiletries EVERY DAY. I liked stayi... Read more

We traveled to Vegas for a funeral of a family member, but decided to stay an extra day, our room that was booked in advance was purchased very cheap at the mandalay bay but somehow we were upgraded to the Delano, and the suite they put us in was just stunning, not a room that we would have been able to afford ourselves, Thank you again for our enjoyable stay.

You get what you pay for with the room. It was very luxurious and clean. It was farther from the pool but it was nice and quiet. The view was nice and staff was friendly and helpful. Was a little confusing I thought I'd booked a room at Mandalay Bay and it was only after check in I was told otherwise.

I got to the hotel and the entrance is through a parking garage, which makes it confusing. There was nobody up front to help us with our luggage or guide us in any way. The front desk experience was the drop that spilled the glass. The lady had the worst attitude I have ever seen, the only word she knew was no. I then spoke to the desk manager whom was no better. To make matters worse, when we did get a room, it smelled like smoke. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place.

My wife and i were in need of a quick getaway, and Delano was the perfect spot for a 3 day stay. Great food, great pools, great service in addition to a really nice suite room and view of the strip. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to not have to hit the strip for anything. Everything you need is all in one place here.

This hotel is at the end of the strip but it connects to the mandalay bay and you can take the tram for free or buy a bus pass and save your energy when it comes to walking. The room was very nice and clean. We had a view if the luxor. The are really quick when you put in a request thru guest services. I did have to call every evening for extra face towels as they didn't supply enough for four people.

They did it right here, just like their sister spot in South Beach. Posh, sexy, dark and inviting, the Delano is a great place for couples to stay. Sitting behind the Mandalay Bay main building, the Hotel is a little off the beaten path, but the ambiance and seclusion is worth it. The room was perfect and had a nice view. The only down side is that if you are hungry and don't want room service, you have to walk to the main building for a decent quick meal. The restaurant between the two hot... Read more

My first time at Delano. I enjoyed myself. It was nice to be in a smoke free and quiet environment in Vegas. I like the location and how it was connected to Manadalay Bay. Delano smelled really good, I liked the flower arrangements and the writing/message on the glass near elevator everyday. Spa was delightful. i will stay with you guys again in the future.

We specifically chose the Delano because it does not have a casino in its lobby. It feels more intimate than the big casino hotels and is more chic than showy. All of those things appealed to me and even more so after spending one night at Mandalay Bay (which is attached via an enclosed walkway to the Delano) which is more showy than chic. To be fair to Mandalay Bay -- it was a much nicer hotel than I was expecting. The rooms at Mandalay Bay were spacious and attractive. But we did move to the D... Read more

You get a lot of bang for your buck, room wise, however the service is certainly not 5 star. Don't expect a turn down service, or a rush of offers to help with your luggage. Or bottled water. Or a full selection of towels and washcloths every day. And check-in/check-out can be a slow process. But, the rooms are well appointed and generously sized, and you have easy access to the Mandalay Bay casino and pools (including a chic pool exclusive to Delano guests). The Real Cost Delano, et al Strip Properties: It is very hot in the LV desert this time of year; hence, great prices on rooms, etc. Especially on Sunday thru Thursday dates. Not so! The Vegas conglomerates, e.g. MGM properties, work as an oligopoly to control prices for just about everything. To wit: Our Sunday room rate was $125 bucks, on Friday/Saturday it would be $300/400 plus. Great price on Sunday, right? But wait there is more.
