2) Merge onto US-395 S via the ramp on the LEFT toward CARSON CITY.
3) Merge onto NV-431/MT ROSE HWY via EXIT 56 toward MT ROSE/NO LAKE TAHOE.
4) Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto TAHOE BLVD/NV-28. Continue to follow NV-28.
5) Turn LEFT onto STATELINE RD and follow to hotel.

Directions from Sacramento:

1) Start out going WEST on I ST toward 9TH ST.
2) Merge onto I-5 N/CA-99 N toward REDDING/YUBA CITY.

"The hotel itself was average. But the thing that put us off was the unfriendliness of the staff at front-desk. Some of them were cold, but one in the night-shift was downright rude. I would never return to this hotel for this reason alone."

"Don't let the pictures and their website fool you, it sure fooled me! The price, even with the $50 off was way too much.

When we first arrived, I looked at my wife and said 'No way, this can't be it'. The pretty water fountain in the picture, was an fountain with rust and does not appear to have been turned on for years. The flowers, the green bushes...not present. The paint on the front of the hotel looks old and pealing. It literally looked abandoned.
We drove 4 hours, so we were too tired to find another oprtion and we could not cancel. Checked into the 'Premier Room' and was not happy, room was small, furniture was old..at that point I went to complaint. They offered to move us to a 'Executive Suite', which I accepted. Got to the room and it was the exact same size at the 'Premier Room' with the different color carpet and fancy drapes. The carpet was torn and the ceiling had water damage. Again, these rooms were nothing like what they have on the website. We decided to take a dip in the pool and come to find out the pool is drained, with rust staines..it looked as if the pool was not maintained for years. Much more issues but I really need to get back to work."

"We got an amazing deal for our stay at the resort even with an upgrage to the executive room. We had an amazing view of the lake! The place did look outdated but it was clean. There were still some residual smell of smoke in the lobby area but not overwhelming... they place NO SMOKING signs everywhere, which was a plus. The only disappointing think about our stay was the lack of snow that weekend."

"Our recent stay at the hotel was quite pleasant...friendly staff, EXCELLENT food. While an older hotel, the Cal Neva Resort has a lot of charm. Hard to say that it still has a casino--casino consists of several penny slot machines and an automated black jack table but the gambling was not important to us. It is in a good location on the lake and has beautiful views."
