If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night at a budget price this is the place. It is located downtown so you need to travel off the interstate a bit. It is very dated, but was very clean and you can't beat the price. You will hear your neighbors since this place is not well insulated.

The owner is a former Marine. His boot camp photo in dress blues hangs on the back wall of the entrance He was working the night I checked, sporting a handle bar mustache like Sam Sheppard. Got my room key, yes a real key. I felt like I had been in trusted with this symbol of our past. Decor was inspired from the Sparta period. Enjoy a night on the cheap.

Very clean! Friendly staff. Older facility but comfortable. Quiet. Flat-screen TV, free wi-fi. Ask for a ground floor room when reserving. No elevator to second floor. We got our money's worth! Brand-name restaurants within two miles....

The girl that took our reservation was very kind & understood we might be late & said that was ok. The lady that checked us in was prompt & courteous. The rooms are old but very clean & it was nice & quiet. The price was perfect.

Cleaner than most; clean is my number one priority in a motel. Comfy beds. Microwave and fridge in every room, which I prefer to having to pay extra for a "free" breakfast that is cheap junk food. Older but well maintained. You can park outside your room if you get there early enough. Two floors, with a stairway; no elevator, but you don't have to lug all your stuff through a lobby to an elevator. I stayed there twice recently, once on the ground floor and once upstairs -- both rooms were... Read more

The headboards were even CLEAN!!! (Yes, I'm one of those that wipe down the headboards . . ) Not extremely fancy, but when they found out I wanted quiet - I got a nice room around a corner at the end. VERY quiet - you can let the air conditioner/heater run continuously for 'white noise'. Nice little refrigerator and microwave, worked very well. Bed very comfortable. Wasn't able to use WiFi - there were probably too many on it at the time. Furnishings a little worn, but for the price - and the f... Read more

First, if you are looking for something fancy or chain style, just keep looking. That will just leave more rooms for My mom and I stayed (with her snoring Pug) for one night and were very happy with the accommodations. We smiled and laughed as soon as we walked in the room because it reminded us of the trips we took when I was little. It was a nostalgic flashback. The rooms are clean with all the basics---including coffee. Ours was on the first floor and we had no problem with noise. ... Read more

This a state of the art motel frm 50 yrs ago that has been exceptionally well maintained and clean. No breakfast I tore my only in room coffee packet so note office with coffee doesn't open until 8 am There were plugs for my bedside cpap medical machine Unfortunately during my stay internet failed at 8 pm and wasn't working the next morning so it was a trip back in time assuming the internet failures are rare I'd stay again

This motel is off the beaten path just a little, but it is super clean! SUPER clean! The pool is outdoors and again so clean. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were quiet, has wifi, perfect for a cost conscious family. AC worked nice. Staff was very nice.

We stayed here for the night on our way home from Montana. It is definitely not a fancy hotel, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The price was great and the room was all we needed for a quick restful night of sleep.

We have two small dogs. One barks at everything. They are VERY dog friendly, and supposedly the people next door couldn't hear us hollering at him when he barked at door closures. The room wasn't brand new, but it was clean. The linens were fresh, and NOT a bedspread (yay!). The towels were small, but whatever. The woman who checked us in, Chris, was excellent and quite helpful. Very kind. It's an old Traveller's Inn (I think), and you can park right up to your room. There was a fu... Read more

Picture that motel you stayed at once as a kid on a long road trip... Now reimagined for your adult eyes. Clean (mattress fully enclosed), well-appointed (BLAZING fast wifi!) and comfortable (great a/c unit, supportive bed, variety of pillows). Courteous service. Pool looked great, although perhaps a bit easily crowded. I was too tired to visit. Great restaurant options within walking distance (Mexican, sushi, pizza). This budget and family-friendly motel hits all the right marks. My only ... Read more

Hotel staff is VERY friendly. Nice heated pool area, which we didn't get to use due to a bad storm that came through when we were there, but it looked nice. Room had several unexpected amenities, such as a fridge and microwave, but could have been a little cleaner. Aside from cleanliness, the main drawbacks involved the neighborhood--there were fireworks going off on a random Tuesday night, which was a little annoying (I like fireworks as much as anyone else, but I was tired from a long trip and... We didn't want the requisite "interstate hotel" so after reading reviews, we opted for this spot. It turned out my husband had also stayed here on an earlier trip. It's an old-fashioned motor court--the two story version. We weren't interested in the pool so didn't check it out. It may not have been open. The clerk suggested a diner for supper that was within walking distance, which we liked as we'd been sitting in a car for about 600 miles that day! Very little--if any--road noise at night. No ... North Platte is a wealth of history on every corner - even one of Buffalo Bills ranches with easy driving distance. We found this well maintained and upgraded older style motel to just fit our needs: clean, quiet, off the beaten path, good beds and accomodations in general. No breakfast here but the rates will allow you to find any one of the numerous other businesses serving breakfasts and you will still keep money in your pocket. We had not ever considered this chain before but we would not h... Read more

This was a good place to stop for the night and I was pleasantly surprised by this motel. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff friendly. Fridge, coffee-maker, microwave in the room, lots of TV channels, good price, good value. The only reason it's not a perfect rating is the shortage of electrical outlets available to the guest. With all the stuff already in the room, there weren't many outlets left for my devices. That's to be expected from an older property, but an extension c... Read more

It was a step back in time. Clean, friendly. Homemade goodies in the morning. The owner was such a friendly gentleman... I recommend this establishment 100 percent. If you have ever traveled on old Rt. 66, I can guarantee that you will be placed back in a time of childhood memories.

We stayed here last year on our way West and decided to stop again as it was extremely affordable and clean. Very basic, well-worn, but still clean and still as inexpensive ($68 with taxes). We did not use the pool but it was full of people when we were there. A little off the interstate, but we don't mind as you can get non-chain food in town-a welcome change. Parking can be tight if you arrive later in the evening.

Upon arriving, we first noticed that the room was clean. Really appreciated that. Then we noticed a fly, then another, and another! A fly swatter was hanging on the wall (!) so we used it to swat the flies. There were more flies in the area than we're used to; just didn't appreciate them in our room! The next day, no flies. The third day, flies again in the room. Is it fly-season in the area? Also, noticed that the only cleaning done was the making of the bed and the emptying of the trash. Woul... Read more

Everything worked as it should and good location. Staff was very friendly and helpful in directions for restaurants and anything else that we needed. All electrical plugs were new, the refridgurator was new, kitchen sink had a garbage disposal, everything in the room worked well. Good location to the freeway. Wife and myself liked everything about the room and staff. If ever we return back to this area we will stop again.

I love this place. Staying one night while on a road trip with my six year old son. The hotel is old, has dated decor, but things are in working order, and the decor and age of the property is part of its charm. The mattress is pretty firm, which is fine with me. We had a blast swimming in the nice pool. Nothing fancy, but a wonderful bargain for a night. Free wifi - coverage is a little spotty but it is working adequately.

We stayed here in April and again in late July. Both times the room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and efficient and we got a good night's sleep. There is no complimentary breakfast but we were offered a discount coupon to Perkins. North Platte is our first night's stop as we head south and west so we are looking for a comfortable night's sleep but no frills. However, the pool here looked clean and the families using it were definitely enjoying it! That said, our room was on... Read more

driving cross country and north platte was a good stop over after 12 hours of driving. We arrived after midnight and I mistakingly made the reservation for a day later. The staff person was very accommodating and had one room left. Looking at the hotel I was surprised it was nearly sold out. While everything was outdated, the beds were comfy, bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and even a hairdryer It's a few miles off the highway

I'm a 70 year old retired American traveling alone. I usually travel with my wife but not this particular trip. I've waited about 2 months before actually posting this review to be sure that I still feel the same way about this place. I want all to note that my criticism is not of this hotel itself but with the variability of ABV offerings and with Tripadvisor's rating system that sometimes mislead travelers. It pains me to use this particular ABV motel to write this review because the staff was... Read more

There were a ton of flies in the room, no clue where they were coming from. Everything in the room looked old. The rooms weren't the cleanest but they were huge. The hotel has potential to be a five star rated hotel with renovations.

It's a average hotel. Me and my fiancé only stayed a night and we got there late and left early so it was just to sleep but I thought it was fine. The toilet is super super super low to the floor though, that's my only complaint haha. For our one night, it did what we needed it for.

Room was average. Beds were pretty comfy; internet worked pretty good; the room had a microwave and fridge; and they had an outdoor heated pool. On the down side, the outlet had only two pronged holes, which was not convenient for computer plug. The room has no iron. Shower had a whole bunch of little dead bugs on the ceiling? Strange. At least they were dead. Lol

We just finished nearly 6800 miles on a month lo g motorcycle trip. Stayed at many hotels and motels across the West and Northwest. The America's Best Value in North Platte was among the best places we stayed at. This place was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We recommend this no frills place to stay for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable stay.

This hotel gave our GPS fits trying to find it but it was worthwhile! The motel is downtown and off the beaten track. The lady at the front desk was a sweetheart and very helpful. The hotel is on the smaller side, clean, well maintained and a good value. The room was non-smoking with 2 queen beds, a microwave, frig, hair dryer and was spacious. There was no breakfast. Interestingly, even though it was quite a distance off the freeway, the facility was full the night we stayed there!

Nice, clean, and fair sized room. Small, older motel, but very well kept, and quiet. The only minor mention would be, that that rooms water run in sequence. Be aware of temp change if a neighboring room starts a shower.

Been here before and was motivated to visit again. Good rooms. A nice place with good staff. Very reasonable pricing. My only complaint was that I had trouble with the speed of the wireless internet; this resulted in some dropped email connections, so you might want to consider that point.

Stopped here for the night on a cross-country trip. Very basic, but clean. Noisy A/C. Noisy fridge. Nothing spectacular, but not awful either. Not much of an area to walk the dog or let her off leash. Hardly any grass around. On the up side, the staff was nice.

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay with two dogs. Many places charge per pet but not here, so it was quite reasonable. The rooms were warm and inviting. Everything was in good condition and looked fairly new. The staff was very nice. It's in a residential area so there are places behind the hotel to walk dogs; the hotel itself is pretty much all paved. The GPS sent us a weird way to get to it; it's really right off the interstate, but past the big chains, so it was nice and quiet.
