The stay here was excellent! First and foremost you simply can't be the location. All off the bars and restaurants are right within walking distance. The rooms were up to our standards. Staff all across the board was extremely accommodating and Barb in the bar was fantastic! Would definitely stay again. Only gripe is the tight parking garage.

I had an extended stay at this hotel for work. I am very pleased with the location and the service. So much to do in this area! Barb at the bar is great at keeping your glass full and recommending a great place to eat. John at the omelet station always greats everyone with a smile and he can make an amazing omelet. All the staff I have interacted with have been friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Once again they impress! I have stayed here a few times over the past 4 years usually on business. The nicest staff from front desk to the cleaning staff. Always willing to go the extra mile with a smile. Rooms are large and impeccably clean. The food at the Red Onion is amazing, from the pizza in the wood fired brick oven to the perfectly cooked steak. At the bar Barb always has some local info on the goings and doings of Lincoln! Great personality and a very professional bar tender. She is one... Read more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great rooms and close to all the action downtown. Really liked the drinks offered for the happy hour, but I might have stayed longer if it wasn't so hot in the bar. Otherwise a great stay!

This is a great place to stay for business or a weekend in Lincoln. I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff. Our group stayed at the hotel for three weeks. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and competent. In addition, the location in the thriving Haymarket District is perfect for accessing downtown business, the University of Nebraska campus and events. I will miss Lisa, Barb, Bonnie and everyone who made my stay enjoyable. Jan R

The decor is a little outdated, but the Bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. All of the important parts of staying in a hotel were quite all right. The restaurant was good for breakfast, and I'm told was "adequate" for dinners. The Bar Maids were Wonderful! And, there are several pretty good restaurants and brew pubs within walking distance. I stayed only one night, but my wife had just spent 3 weeks in this hotel. She reported to me that the staff went out of their way to make her... Read more

Great location. Very close to many bars and restaurants, great for business travelers that don't want to drive. The bar /restaurant on site was great as well. Barb did a wonderful job! She was a very pleasant person and a great bartender! Even when it was crowded (especially during happy hour) she always made sure you never had an empty glass, very prompt! Scarecrow.

The Downtown Holiday inn in Lincoln Nebraska, it was clean and quiet and the staff was very helpful. When I checked in their was a large wedding in the lobby and I was checked in with no problem and from 5 floors up I could not tell that there was another person in the whole building. Although, I would have to say the best part about this hotel is that it is located in the heart of Downtown Lincoln/Haymarket District. The rooms and location were much nicer than even expected and free wifi is awesome. Free beer and wine Monday-Wednesday cocktail hour, but Barb the bartender was so great, I kept coming back on the non-free nights. I worked in the service industry in the past for a long time and she was so professional, quick, and knew how to handle a diverse crowd of people coming through all night.

While the city of Lincoln has experienced phenomenal growth in the 25 years since I had moved away, few areas are hotter than the Haymarket, a century old manufacturing and warehouse district with 3-6 story tall red brick buildings, many of which have taken on new lives as clubs, restaurants and condos. The Holiday Inn is at the east boundary of this entertainment district, most of which is within a 4-6 block walk, maximum, so most folks won't need a car to get around. For the Hotel, you pay p... This hotel is in a perfect location if you want to be able to walk around in the Haymarket area. They even have a free reception happy hour with complimentary appetizers and drinks. Not sure if the reception is only on the weeknights, or if it is also provided on the weekends too. Next time I stay here, I ask for a room facing Memorial Stadium. Much better view than the other side. Overall a really nice hotel, but the location makes it GREAT!

I have been coming to this property for at least 3 weeks a year for 4 years now. I love that they have very little turnover and year after year I return to the same friendly faces. From the kitchen and bar staff to the front desk I'm always amazed that the staff is still here and knows my name. There are plenty of choices when it comes to hotels in Lincoln but as long as this staff is here this is where I'll stay. Justin S.

I usually stay in IHG hotels 60+ nights a year. Having in stayed in most of the brands all over the USA, I have to say, this location is one of my favorites. Why? It is the staff, the location, the amenities and the overall feel of knowing I can expect the best from a group of folks who truly want to make my stay enjoyable. Overall a great stay, had a very friendly staff working the front desk. I really wish that I would not have been put in a room with a door to the next hotel room. Made the room very loud as the people next to me were loud. If you can avoid that type of room it would be best. Really nothing that blew me out of the water and would make me stay there again but nothing that would have me not call it an ok hotel to stay at. Do not forget there is a fee for parking.

I stayed there for the same conference two years ago, but the Holiday Inn exceeded expectations again. The number one asset of this hotel is the customer service. Everything about the hotel was fine, except for the bed. I had a single king and it was like sleeping on a wooden board with a mattress pad on top. Two years ago we raved about this place; not now. It's obvious that the football crowd has really done a job here. It is obvious it is in need of a major renovation. The sofa in our room was a bit worn. The furniture looked like it had been banged up a bit. Sure, it's a great location but we'll be passing this up. We only had breakfast here this time and it was fair. There's a great restaurant across the street (Vincenzo's Italian) head there for dinner!.
