I attended a conference here in October. Stayed for one night. Room was in good order, clean, with a DVD player - nice added touch. The halls were quiet and peaceful, but it was a Monday. I'd imagine wedding parties liven things up a bit on the weekends. I'd have given it 5 stars if it had free breakfast to accommodate conference guests.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Kearney, NE National Dealers Meeting put on for the company I work for. The staff did a wonderful job providing assistance and the meals that were part of the meetings were great. Although the desserts were too much chocolate and rich for my personal taste. The room I stayed in was clean and well laid out. The price for rooms that were blocked out was also very good. The restaurant in the hotel also was very good. Only disappointment was the pool/hot... Friendly staff. All of the amenities. Hotel is very large and has no elevators. Not for people who do not like to walk or get lost easily. Dates rooms but very clean. Overall a good stay (once I found my room) ! Sozo restaurant inside hotel had good food and is open late most days. Breakfast is also very good however not cheap at all.

We stayed here because of the waterslides for our two young children. Great place to stay! Staff is friendly and attentive, nice tourist shop inside the facility. Nice but pricey restaurant attached. We would have stayed here extra nights but it was full due to the Sandhill Crane migration. We had no idea these birds were such a big deal in Kearney. We learned a lot about them as we traveled here in March when they were flying through, pretty neat. Slides are fun in the pool but stay off the y... Read more

Plenty of new hotels opening right next door but still a reliable and comfortable place to stay. Windows open (important to me) and bed is pretty comfy. The only bummer is terrible coffee. Front desk is very friendly and fun.

This place is exactly what you would expect from a small town Holiday Inn. It is a bit dated, but clean, comfortable beds, and nice attentive staff. The pool is great if you have kids, as it is more like a mini water park with slides etc. The attached restaurant is excellent, but pricey for a town like Kearney. I don't mind paying for a good meal though though and would recommend it for adults. If you have kids, you may want to find somewhere else to eat. The reason for the 4 stars i... Read more

Have passed thru Kearney many times from CO to IA - normally go the less expensive route and stay elsewhere, but this time we splurged and spent a little extra so our kids could enjoy the waterpark at this hotel. Nice clean rooms - hotel was relatively empty when we stayed on a Sunday night - so that was nice - had been concerned when we pulled up if they had rooms - because the lot was full. After checking in, were directed to park on west side of hotel - and had an entire lot to ourselves. ... Read more

Was here recently for a conference and, for that reason, it was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and it was the perfect place for our business. However, one would not expect to pay big city prices exceeding $150 per night in Kearney, NE. If not for the conference, we may have stayed somewhere that offered a better price/value relationship. The public areas are very nice and lend themselves well to conferences, meetings, weddngs, etc.

The room was great with a refrigerator and comfortable. The beds were great! I loved the clock with 2 outlets and 2 USB plug-ins. The lobby had 2 free newspapers and comfortable seating. My only complaint was no continental breakfast was included.

We chose this hotel as a stopping point on our way to Colorado from Indiana. The pics of the pool and rooms looked nice. The staff was very polite and our room was pretty spacious. It didn't take us long in the room to notice all the noise though. There was a wedding reception taking place directly across the hall from our room, complete with a bumping DJ and loud, drunk guests. We called the desk to ask how late it would go, and were quickly offered to move rooms. As much of a pain as it was to... Read more

The hotel itself is nice. Very clean and our suite was huge - perfect for our large family. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My only gripe was the restaurant/breakfast on Saturday morning. Basically just another continental breakfast you pay 8.95/person for. The powdered eggs and hard pancakes are not worth it. Big let down. If we could have ordered off a menu I wouldn't have been so irritated. Skip the restaurant if they are serving the buffet and just grab McDonalds instead.

Made reservations here because we were traveling with two grandchildren, ages 7 and 8, and thought the pool area would be nice for them to unwind after 8 hours in the car. It didn't disappoint, they really liked the kids area and had a great time. Technically, they were probably a little too tall (over 42") for the kids slides and kiddie pool but there wasn't very many people around and the staff never said anything. The room was clean and more than adequate for our needs. We would stay agai... Read more

This property is well kept. It's not tremendously up to date, but is a good value. They have quite a few suites ideal for families, but you need to call the hotel directly to reserve them. We'd go back with our grand kids.

Was here for a conference. Room was quiet and there were 2 weddings receptions taking place. Very clean room. Great internet service. Had my daughter who lives in the same town spend one night with me...It was not problem for her to do that with the hotel staff. Only complaint was with $75 "hold" on my card for incidentals. WHO needs that anymore with cell phones. Seemed like a lot of money to me. And left me short $75 for a 4 night stay.

Stayed one night on a road trip. I chose it for the water slides. It is a decent, clean hotel but it seems old. Kids enjoyed the water slides but know you are at you're own risk. Breakfast was typical of a hotel buffet and is not included. We would stay again if it worked out so the kids could use the slides but otherwise would chose a different hotel.

The room was clean, but the window opened into a dark storage area. I'm pretty sure this isnt up to code. Your room should have two possible exits. Maybe they don't usually book these rooms? It was a busy weekend in July and it was the only one we could get for 2 nights. The carpet was damp and there was no air circulation. We had a party of 5- 3 adults, 2 kids, it was a 2 queen bed room (pretty small too). We asked for a rollaway bed, to be told that this hotel doesn't stock rollaways. My 12-yr... Read more

We booked two nights here to rest between 2 long days of driving. We were hoping for some relaxation and rest. We walked in our room which was very humid. We realized the floors were damp from recently being cleaned, which made the air thick and hard to breathe. There was no air flow. We opened the curtain to check out our view and it looked straight into a dark closet/hallway where we could see that items were being stored in. There was no natural light. It was small and cramped as well. During... Read more

The staff was very friendly! The water slides were a big hit with our family. The included breakfast was hot and yummy! The little gift shop was fun to explore and the candy and pop there was 1/2 the price of the vending machines. There was a variety of restaurants close by to eat at.

Received a free upgrade to a suite for the family (2 kids), which was nice. The rooms themselves were clean and updated, but the interior hallways, access feels dated..and there is only 1 elevator in the place (so be prepared to haul baggage). There was an attached restaurant in which kids eat free (under 12), but need to show your keycard for breakfast and adults pay. There was a few instances of rowdy people in the hallway. The only saving grace was the slides for the kids...there are 2 sets (... Read more

I stayed here for 2 nights. The company also held the sales conference at this hotel. Smooth check in, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. All the things I look for. The food for the conference was excellent. The hotel has a little boutique with some wonderful items. Ellen at the boutique is delightful to visit with. The location is right off the interstate and not too far from restaurants and other shopping. I would definite stay again.

I was here for a conference. I understand if the service is slow when the entire hotel is booked. However, the cleaning lady came into our room and we asked her to take the towels and come back later. She never did. Then I went down to the front desk to at least ask for towels. They said they would sent 4 towels up. When we got back to our room 4 hours later they were not even folded. They were just stacked on top of the toilet. I am hoping that we get rooms somewhere else next year. Se... Read more

This is a super friendly and attentively staffed Holiday Inn. It is an older one but it is clean and has great beds. BIG bonus is a wonderful on site restaraunt that has steaks from identified local ranches. The upscale menu offers items you would expect in a much larger city. Good wine list, too. Otherr perk are a coffee, tea shop to get your morning off to a great start and a cute little gift shop. Walking distance to a wine tasting bar and other venues.

The hotel is a nice hotel. The rooms were clean, the buffet breakfast was good. The pool was very crowded and the staff did not keep the bigger kids out of the little kid area which made it dangerous for the little ones.

After having also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express down the street, the room here at this Holiday Inn was just as nice and I probably saved $35 due to this being an older hotel (older building style, which included the odd design of having a window between the room and the hallway... like who would actually want to leave the drapes open so other guests could look in at you?!). I would stay here again. The room was in very nice condition and looked clean. My only comment about comfort level i... Read more

We attended a State Elks Association conference here recently, and felt it was a great success. The room was nice, although a bit difficult to keep cool, but three bed was comfortable. There was ample hot water, free parking, and the meals, both banquet and at the on-site restaurant, were very good. We did not use the swimming facilities.

The property appeared to be fairly new and our rooms were clean and spacious. There was not a breakfast included but the hotel was attached to a restaurant. The hotel was convenient and easy access to the freeway. The pool area included a water center for the kids with a slide and sprinkler fountain. There was a nice gift shop in-house and free movies and DVD players could be checked out at the main desk. Other nearby restaurants included Old Chicago and Red Lobster.

Our family of 5 stayed here twice in Sept/Oct 2016. Our rooms were very quiet compared to newer hotels. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is incredible compared to standard small hotel pools, IF you are a kid. Expect super tube slides and shallow pools. Do not expect a lap pool. There were 3 lifeguards on duty, and our kids had a lot of fun. The pool is not suited for adults, however the adjoining hot tub is large and looked inviting.

Room and overall space was clean and professional. A "lifeguard", I think her name was Krista or Krystal, was complete neglectful and out of line. My children fell several times in front of her and she just looked at them, not even saying anything. She was on her phone constantly and seemed more interested in it than my children. I have never seen such inexcusable behavior. Not acceptable for a lifeguard.
