We went in April and it was very quiet. We had the pool to ourselves. The price was great, but I'm sure it doubles in the next month. Food was good, bar was good. Beds were great. I'd go back the staff in the restaurant great.

We came here for a weekend snow mobiling trip and ended up staying at the Holiday Inn at West Yellowstone. For the most part, our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were decently nice and I didn't have any problems with the staff. Breakfast was a little disappointing but the wait staff were extremely ness. Sunday was the Super Bowl game and we didn't have a very enjoyable experience with the hotel bar area. We came in, sat down, and none of the servers approached us. This was our second Christmas stay at the Holiday Inn West Yellowstone, and I was very happy with our room. The room was large and allowed for ample room for all of our winter clothing. The microwave and coffee maker were a nice added touch. The restaurant only offered a buffet dinner on Christmas night that was quite pricey. You are within walking distance of other restaurants in town--if you want to brave 30 below temps to get to food! I will stay here again.

We felt this was a wise choice upon checking in when greeted by Katie at the front desk. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and most helpful. We would learn over our stay how helpful and committed to our having a great experience she really was. A specific room had been reserved for our stay. The Holiday Inn West Yellowstone is pricy but has a beautiful interior. The rooms appear recently redone. The beds are super soft with excellent linens. The hotel offers FREE self-serve washer and dryer for all those stinky hiking clothes but bring your own HE soap as it costs $1.00 at the front desk.

The only negative this Holiday Inn has is that it is a bit pricey. The beds were comfortable, the attached restaurant (The Branch) has really good food, and the staff are very courteous and helpful. The pool is not huge, but it is just the right size. The whirlpool was great, and they do have a sauna - unfortunately it was out-of-order during our stay. The location of this Holiday Inn is within walking distance of the town's many shops and other eateries.

We stayed at this property a couple weeks ago, it was clean, but the rooms were kinda dated without much attention to detail. Our bathroom light flickered the entire stay. We are not ones to complain to management, but I would have thought that housekeeping would have reported it, when they cleaned the bathroom. Guess they are not trained to note problems with the room, just to clean them. Do not believe the front desk when they recommend the restaurant - it was very bad. It was overpriced and t... Read more

Most comfortable beds we had on our cross country drive. Fridge was small, but had a freezer compartment perfect for our cooler freezer packs. If you're a large person, you'll find the toilet tiny. Some of the Holiday Inn locations have gone down hill, but this location remains what I remember from my childhood. A great hotel for families that you can pick in any location and get a good room no matter what. It seems to be the nicest hotel in West Yellowstone and the staff is very pleasant. Rooms are clean, food in restaurant if definitely acceptable, and the indoor pool was great is very much needed for the kids after a long day in the park.

West Yellowstone is a small town just outside the park. As such, it is very well located, but is rather small and rough around the edges. No frills here. This hotel was probably the nicest in town and was more than adequate. Were it not for the price, I would give it a 5. I paid as much as being at a 5 star resort, but got a Holiday Inn. Drop the price about $150 per night, and it becomes a 5.

This Holiday Inn property is no better than any other I've stayed in and certainly does not warrant a $300+ per night price tag. But I was out of other options and they are charging you for their proximity to Yellowstone, during tourist season. The rooms are standard, comfortable, fine. The hotel bar has a decent local tap list. Free parking and free laundry definitely a plus. Located along the strip with all the expected tacky souvenir shops and restaurants. Nothing special.

We stayed on a IHG Reward stay, but the normal rate in june is about 350 $ + tx. What a disappointment for that price. The room as such was OK, although the sink in the room was a bit weird... and it leaked, so the carpet below it was wet. This was very pricey for a Holiday Inn, yet seemed like just a basic one. Of course, that is due to the location. It is about a five minute drive through the entrance of Yellowstone. It is walking distance of the visitors center and the wolf and bear center. Excellent hotel on a fantastic location just outside Yellowstone National Park. And even though Yellowstone is packed with tourists nowadays, this hotel still manages to keep a nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Our room was excellent: spacious, comfortable and clean. Because there were just two people in the room: me and my wife, we didn't mind having the sink in the room, instead of in the bathroom. It was actually kind of convenient. We loved the fact that we were able to choose from differ... Read more

Picked this hotel as we wanted a nice place and all the modern conveniences for our 3 night stay for our trip to Yellowstone. Had looked at a few others in town, but booked two rooms, one with a double and one with a king bed at the Holiday Inn. And, as requested the rooms, were connecting but both were not ready when we checked in at 3pm. One was, which was enough to put our bags in and head out. We liked the hotel, it had been remodeled and the rooms were clean and spacious. We had one... Read more

Our group of 5 adults stayed one night at this location before heading into Yellowstone park. The staff was extremely helpful, not only storing our luggage at early check-in but actually putting it all in the room for us while we went off to the park. This above and beyond service was very much appreciated! The facility is very clean and modern, and definitely gives an upscale lodge feel. Its location couldn't be better either, with many shopping and dining options an easy walk away. Th... Read more

We stayed here for a few nights as we moved around Yellowstone Park. This hotel was our favorite and my only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Staff was great! We had a wonderful room and it was a welcome reprieve from the more rustic accommodations in other parts of the park. If I were to return to Yellowstone, I would just stay here.

We stayed there as a family in July. We had three rooms, ours was an upgraded king. Check in was wonderful, with the day crew of Sharla and Karen giving us a warm welcome. The room was nice, good shower, great sleep, quiet even though it faced the street. The rates can seem high in the summer but July is the peak of the peak season. All in all a good choice; when I return to West Yellowstone I'll stay here again.

We had the 2 room family suite with 1 bath and found it very suitable for 2 couples traveling together. The room was large, and the separate bedroom allowed for privacy enough. Obviously, the 2 bath suite would be better, but the 1 bath worked out okay for us. The staff was very friendly and eager to be helpful. We would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

Booked two rooms for my family's 5 day stay. Both rooms on second of three floors. Beds great. Note no crockery or cutlery in rooms ( including room with kitchen sink and dining table) so BYO or you buy paper plates and plastic cutlery at the supermarket. Rec room with breakfast included. Excellent cooked breakfast at The Branch restaurant a great way to start the day ( especially if Renee serves you) . Close to west park entrance. Room service dinner great after a long day driving in the park. ... Read more

We selected this hotel for a three night stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park. The hotel is less than a mile from the Park's West Entrance. Efficient and welcoming reception staff. Our room was large with a sofa, easy chair, office chair and desk, microwave and fridge. The wash basin was in the room, and the bathroom had a walk in shower. The dining room/bar was very popular with both guests and off the street patrons. A good breakfast buffet.

I couldn't fault this hotel. The staff were frendly, especially great was Tamara in the Branch Restaurant at breakfast time! It is the first hotel I've been in where the front desk rang half an hour after we arrived to check everything was okay - a very nice touch. The room was lovely with a couch, easy chair, desk and a very comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom and shower were excellent and the room had a full fridge and a microwave as well as a coffee maker. The hotel also had a compliment... Read more

Stayed a few nights at this hotel while visiting Yellowstone in 2016. I must say this hotel was a welcome respite from the early fall rain and snow. The lobby even has a cozy welcoming sitting area with a warm fireplace. Staff at arrival was very friendly and helpful. Some things I enjoyed about this hotel: the room was exceptionally clean, with no cleaning odors. The shower was a modern glass walkin, and a double sink was in a separate area outside the toilet/shower room...terrific layout. ... Read more

After spending a day with winter conditions and still hiking about and sightseeing in Yellowstone, the Holiday was such a nice surprise. Very large room, a wonderfully comfortable bed and very helpful staff. We had concerns about the next day's weather and our plans and staff gave us contact info for Yellowstone roads. Nice having a second sink in the room as well as Keurig machine, microwave, frig and strong WiFi. The hotel had a few other surprises -- there is a historic exhibit of a histori... Read more

Great location, on the same road as the park entrance. Only 5 minutes, if that long to the park. Free coffee or tea in the lobby in the morning. Restaurant attached to the hotel looked good but did not have time to try it. They also have laundry facilities.

Used a family room, which has a separate bedroom and bath, from the main room. All was clean and convenient. A good value for the money. Our only complaint is that the restaurant workers made too much noise after the restaurant had closed by throwing out the trash rather aggressively in the resonant garbage bins situated in the back parking lot. This went on from 10 pm to 11pm.

The hotel is quite literally down the same street as the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is very easy to find and access. They had a good business center and fast wi-fi. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast is not included but it was a bonus that the staff puts out an afternoon treat for everyone. One day was cookies and one day was fruit and cheese. It was an extra special touch. Loved that they offered complimentary laundry services for the guests.

Friendly and welcoming reception staff were fantastic as was Tamara, our waitress in the hotel restaurant. She seamlessly and happily made a rushed business lunch feel enjoyable. She is really on the ball. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable and is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

We had a great 2 night stay in late-September. The hotel is in a great location, just minutes from the West Yellowstone Visitors Center and West Entrance to the park. Plenty of parking, several conveniently located entrances to hotel, which is bigger than it looks! Friendly staff, clean room and common areas. Our room was spacious, plenty of room for 3 people. Separate dressing area made that easier as well. Fridge and microwave in room was convenient. Breakfast is not included in the cost... Read more

Anything near Yellowstone has to be evaluated on a curve, given the higher prices there. But it's certainly convenient to stay within a mile or so of the park entrance! In this case, there were a few quirks with the reservation and check-in, as websites showed widely varying rates, and though I called to establish the accurate rate and then make my reservation, the rate then displayed at check-in 2 hours later was incorrect. But, it was corrected, and from there, I found the room to be cl... Read more

Traveling with my son and grandson - Yellowstone of course. Had read decent reviews on Trip Advisor and my opinion falls in line with the others. My son, who travels a LOT noted that it was the nicest Holiday Inn he had ever stayed in. it is very convenient to the West Entrance of Yellowstone and within walking distance of the Wolf and Grizzley sanctuary that was a real treat. Nice staff, clean, very convenient and excellent value (of course it was not prime season)

The Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana is conveniently located just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The room we had was spacious and clean. There were plenty of electrical outlets to keep phones, computers and camera batteries charged. The people were very friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant was OK, but nothing special.

We are Platinum Elite IHG members who needed 3 more stays to qualify for continued elite status, so since YNP is only 6.5 he drive from home, decided to make a last minute trip to the park. This hotel was perfect even though we were the last visitors before the park closed for the season. The room was clean and everything seemed new, even the shower stall. There was breakfast available at the restaurant in the lobby and the food was rather good. Everything else in town seemed shut at night so this is one of the rare hotels open late in the season.

Very nice room and surroundings. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. We were part of a tour group so had no control of itinerary. If travelling independently would loved to have stayed here two or three nights to do justice to a visit to Yellowstone. Will never forget coming across a small herd of Bison walking down the road. This place is NOT a real, modern Holiday Inn - It felt more like a Mom & Pop, roadside motel from the 1960's. The highlights: 1) The rooms are large and the beds were nice & clean. 2) The bar / restaurant was fun for watching football on the large screens. Didn't eat the food. 3) The front desk staff is completely clueless regarding the Holiday Inn IHG Reward Club program (as well as, many other requests) and need serious training. 4) The elevator is super slow, loud and dated. 5) Th... We went as a family and felt the overall hotel was pretty mediocre. For the price, the value was terrible. We paid roughly $350 a night for a pretty plain hotel room. In fact, it was a standard holiday inn, which means it's a $100 room. The pool water was very murky and we didn't feel comfortable allowing our children to swim in it. We did like west Yellowstone as a town and base for a few days exploring Yellowstone.
