we stayed in Great Falls to break up a weekend trip to Salt Lake city we got a good deal at this Holiday Inn and decided to check it out The is not one of the newer ones and in need of some updating, but our room was fine. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant and only stayed one night. The bed was OK, and the room was clean, so can't ask for much more

We usually stay at the La Quinta, but they we full up. The Holiday Inn is a very large hotel, I would say 10-15 years old. I gave it a average rating because it has a few nice amenities and some bad ones. The place is very open, you can see the 7th floor from the check in desk with a nice fountain in the lobby. The pool is the fun for kids, with a large indoor pool and water slide, also a hot tub. The rooms are decent, they seam to be kept up. The things that the management, I think should pay a... I stayed here for two nights, and the hotel was okay. It is definitely in need of some updating, and the room I stayed in, showed lots of signs of wear, including a large gash on the wall near the window, a vent in the bathroom that made a loud noise for most of the stay, and a room door that required you to pull it shut to close it fully. (A few times I thought I had shut the door, and would come back to the room a short time later, to see the door not fully closed) The WIFI stopped working for... Read more

After a couple recent trips to the US in the last few months, and Canadian exchange rates hovering from over 30% to near 50% (MC rates), we decided to try the Holiday Inn in Great Falls this time for our stay before and after a trip to Hawaii (which we had arranged quite some time ago). I found some pretty good rates (compared to similar accommodations), so decided to give it a try. We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years, and it was great to see that even though an older establis... Read more

Hannah checked us in with so much enthusiasm. She anticipated our needs and questions before we could ask, made us aware of a discounted rate we didn't know we were eligible for, and started our weekend off great. The room was very comfortable. My only negative is the furnishings in the room are in need of replacement. Very worn.

Older hotel, but totally renovated to current standards. Very clean hotel, good on-site amenities like restaurant and bar. Swimming pool's good too. Clean rooms with good selection of room type. Often the best hotel deal in town.

My family was recently displaced from our home due to a house fire. My husband and I decided on the Holiday Inn to stay in until our house was fixed. Our stay was supposed to be roughly 8 weeks. Upon arrival the girls at the front desk (Kayla and a red head that I didn't catch her name) were very great in helping me pick a room and getting us settled in. I was informed by Kayla that they were having trouble with the elevators and that the previous weekend multiple people had been stuck on them. ... Read more

Pool : Looks like the pool was rented out to non hotel guests for a birthday party. - Kids in the pool kept climbing into the bottom of the slide, making it dangerous for people coming down the slide. I had to tell my boys to stop playing on the slides. - Rules stated no water guns. Two kids in the birthday party had water guns and kept shooting them at my boys's faces as they swam by. - Kids at the party were playing dodgeball and kept hitting me with their ball. I had to yell at the kids ... Read more

Stayed at this property for training. Me an my girlfriend loved this hotel. Nice Pool spacious with lots of room didn't feel crowded. Me personally liked the waterfall the most in the lobby an we like to explore an this hotel has plenty of space to walk around after a long drive to burn off some energy. The bar an restaurant was awesome. We had the RIBS one night plenty to share with a party of two.

This hotel was in a good location but I will stop there. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns in the past and it seems that this one was forgotten in the past. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was made up only once and that's when we asked for it to be done. After they made up the room at our request they told us they did not have any fresh towels. the same kernels of popcorn remained in the same spots on the floor from before they made up the room. The restaurant was average. When we returned... Read more

We stayed two nights and the rooms were acceptable. They were clean and cared for. The pool was fine as was the bar area. During the visit one elevator was out of service for maintenance. That kept the only elevator extremely busy considering that the hotel staff utilized the elevator. It was interesting to learn that the elevator was down for nearly a week. Fix the elevator situation and I would give 4 stars.

The hotel was nice and clean from what I saw. The entire staff were friendly to us. Hats off to all the employees. Also to Dave who fixed my father in laws hotel door lock and the staff who got it resolved. The only thing was the elevators. This is not the holiday inns fault I believe it's age and wear and the repairman really didn't have a chance to repair it properly. This made it hard not only on the guests but the staff as well. Still I was more than pleased considering the hard reviews they... Read more

My families stay was horrible. The room was so hot and just seemed to get worse as the night went on. When we called the front desk to report it they said they would radio the maintenance guy to come to the room. After a hour we went to the front desk and the clerk said he tried to contact maintenance and there was no answer. The shower handle was broke so you weren't sure if the water was on hot or cold and the draining was really slow. The pool slide was really dirty. Beds were uncomfortable. ... Read more

This hotel was pretty terrible start to finish...upon arrival, we were curtly told that check in wasn't until 4. Since it was 2:30, I definitely understood we were early, but she wouldn't even check to see if any rooms were open. Given that I'm a Spire status, this was pretty surprising. I called the number on the back of my member card and the representative was able to get it worked out....somewhat magically a room suddenly became available. It makes me so sad to write this review because I just love to stay at the Holiday Inn in Great Falls. I booked (and paid for) a room early in July with Expedia and when I arrived they said they could not honor it as all I had was a booking. Then they put the full amount on a credit card. I stayed at at the Holiday Inn again this past weekend. I tried to get help from the front desk on this matter. They said talk to the manager on Monday AM. I waited for him and he was busy and I had to re... Read more

I think I would have enjoyed this hotel more if I had a family. I was put on the pool side which is very loud up until 10 pm. Request atrium side if at all possible when traveling on business. Elevator was broken as well so there were long lines for the lone working one. Room was decent and restaurant on site is a plus for me. I would stay again, just not by the pool.

I've been staying at this hotel 3-4 weeks a year for the last few years and it's just getting worse and worse every time. First off, the elevators are always broken, its a 7 story hotel and it seems management doesn't care about telling seniors they need to carry bags up 7 flights of stairs. Not to mention my room cards would stop working 50% of the time. Every single time I go, the front desk either has my reservation screwed up or overcharges me. Had a room on the first floor that flooded out ... Read more

Although the room was clean and comfortable, I was put off by the smell of chlorine in the lobby because of the water feature. Also, one of the elevators was broken, apparently for several days, leading to delays of several minutes in this 10-story hotel. Stay away from the restaurant!

Nice Holiday Inn, with a convenient location. The lobby is huge, a great meeting place for groups, or just to hang out and listen to the waterfall and stare at the stuffed wildlife surrounding it. One elevator was down during our stay, and the other sounded like it may not be operational for long.

Hotel is clean and well maintained. Food in restaurant is solid. Kids under 12 eat free, which for our family was a huge plus. Beds comfortable, renos in the bathrooms are nice. Unfortunately, walls are paper thin. Noise from neighboring rooms is quite noticeable. Nothing hotel can do about that, just how it is. We were on the 10th Ave side, so also know traffic noise is also a problem if you are a light sleeper. The whole hotel smells like chlorine from the pool. I don't know why, but ... Read more

This is much, much different from any Holiday Inn I have stayed in. It is old/dated; however, this is not the problem. 1. There over our two night stay was no cable/satellite TV signal. I don't normally watch to much TV; however, between meetings or at night it is something to pass time with. Both nights there was no signal, the front desk was not bothered nor apologetic and suggested the problem was city wide - no, no it was not as the hotel pub had a signal, as did every other place we ventu... Stayed at this location for a few nights while working at Malmstrom AFB. Had a couple of maintenance issues with the room and had to make multiple requests to get the problems resolved. Should not have to do that. Due to my status with IHG I pretty much only stay at Holiday Inn locations. This property seems to be dating itself and could certainly use so.e remodeling.

This Holiday Inn is an older Inn, in need of an update. All rooms open into a large atrium. Even with the open concept, our room was quiet. Furniture was worn and weathered, but the beds were comfortable; plenty of hot water with great shower head, and the room appeared clean. Adequate self parking. It was simply an 'OK' place to stop for the night. We chose to eat in the restaurant downstairs rather than leave again. Service was awful, as was the food. There were just a few people in the res... The room given us had just had it carpets shampooed. The odor was quite strong. Later in the evening when we took off our shoes, we realized the carpet was still wet! The room was right on the lobby, but surprisingly enough were not disturbed by the lobby noise. The acoustic insulation was excellent. Other than the odor and the wet carpet the room was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. There is ample parking and the motel is conveniently located.

We have stayed in this hotel for about the last 5 years, at least once or twice a year. My friends and I do a ladies trip to great falls once a year and stay here. We like it because we can get a two room suite, there is a good lounge and it is close to the mall. However next year we will be looking to stay elsewhere.
