I went with a group that booked 17 rooms. We booked these months in advance. We were told check-in time was 3 pm. When we went to check in at 3 pm, most of the rooms weren't ready. We were given the last room at 5:30 pm. Their excuse was: "we're very busy"., and that was that. According to the shuttle driver, they're always very busy, so they should know how to handle it. After spending 16 hours on a bus, it was painful to have to sit in the lobby waiting for your room when it was supposed to be... Read more

Appears they have spent some money on the lobby, but the rooms seem a little dated. Especially the bathrooms. The room was pretty small, not refrigerator. Was only there for one night, so didn't use many amenities. The market and concierge both close at 10pm. Fortunately there is a convenience store within walking distance.

I usually stay at this Marriott property due to is great location to downtown, freeway access, airport and car rental facility when I work near the St. Louis, MO area. This hotel is really wonderful because of their Staff! Had a great weeks stay at the hotel, particularly the concierge lounge was warm and hospitable. Joanne, greeted me every day with a warm smile and excellent service. Food was consistently good with a good selection of breakfast choices. The environment was consistently clean. Highly recommended choice for a relaxed breakfast.

The hotel has a very nice veneer, but there are underlying problems that are not being addressed. The elevator buttons are worn and require multiple pushes to operate. My room door sticks and requires a shoulder to open every time. The toilet seat slides around as if the screws are completely worn. Housekeeping would either not clean at all, or would come in and just make the bed, leaving the trash cans un-emptied and the towels not replaced. Calls to the front desk resulted in a stack of ... Maybe my room was shapped weird but....... The bathroom was long and huge but was more than half empty. Toilet never flushed on the first flush. Room was large but super oddly shaped with a front room having the tv and then the back of the room with the bed. The bed was way far away (past air unit) so not only could you not see the screen, but you could hear the tv unless it was blasting. Whoever designed the rooms was not thinking about the user experience. Employees nice. Just felt really... Read more

Had we known how nice the hotel and facilities were going to be, we would have arrived at the Marriott much closer to check in time! We didn't have time to make use of the amenities, but would make sure to do so in the future. The lobby and bar/restaurant are very upscale. I stayed at the Marriott at the St. Louis airport while attending a conference. I found it a good choice as I was looking for a place close to the airport, however I wouldn't recommend it for a get-away. It's an extremely busy hotel. This is a huge Marriott Hotel. Our room and the hotel grounds are lovely. I would have given it a higher rating but the air conditioning in our room did not work very well. They offer many free amenities like hot tub, pool and exercise room. They charge for internet and also a daily parking fee . Breakfast is not free. There is a restaurant and they also offer room service. The hotel is conveniently located to the airport, sightseeing attractions and restaurants.

PARKING was gated and there was plenty the nights I was there. ROOM was everything you need - clean and simple. I was on the 7th floor facing east I believe. The hotel is not dated at all. The hotel is themed to have a modern retro 60s look. Very well done. We had a few problems at check in with request for connecting rooms. Devin at the front desk was able to correct our room assignments. All hotels make mistakes. A good hotel staff can correct it, and that's what Devin did. The room was clean and modern. The rooms were very nice and clean. A bit outdated but spotless. The location was decent. It was 5-7 minutes from planned activities. Overall, the stay was pleasant, and I will return. I was taken back with the $12 per night fee for parking. I think that is a bit extreme considering the power went out and guests were unable to enter/exit. The staff accommodated this issue. The check in staff were cheerful and very helpful. One guy from Africa however made it look as if he was doing us a big favor by giving us free parking when in fact it was already free to begin with. The room was really nice. We were on the second floor and we could see the swimming pool where... Read more

From the outside, the Marriott St. Louis Airport is not very attractive, but they have definitely done some nice renovations on the inside as far as the lobby is concerned. It's very beautiful with a large area for the bar, a Starbucks, restaurant, very nice pool area (for an airport hotel) -- but the rooms are still a bit dated. Also, three stars for cleanliness. My bathroom definitely was not clean...

Was really worried after I booked this hotel and had a few people tell me its in a bad neighborhood. Its across from airport, has secure parking and is hands down best for the money. Gorgeous lobby, bar, and recently renovated rooms. Pool area is amazing as well, in the center courtyard area surrounded by hotel. Highly recommend if staying in STL.

I travel to Saint Louis almost weekly and have come to find the St Louis Marriott at the Airport my favorite spot! They underwent a massive renovation, have an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, a great gym, a solid restaurant, live music most nights in the lobby, and the best concierge lounge I've been to with the nicest most accommodating ladies. JoAnn and Pag up in the concierge lounge are the nicest most accommodating people I've encountered in the hospitality industry. Give it a try!!

My wife and i stayed at the Marriot - Airport and it was a fine evening. Quiet, clean, comfortable, good service at the desk... And the price on weekends was great! $89 compared to $299 during the week. It's a huge hotel, but they give you attention. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here during the FIRST robotics competition in April. Despite the throngs of teenagers checking in at the same time, the desk staff did a good job of keeping everything organized, at least for my team. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were standard Marriott, great beds, decent (albeit slightly cramped) bathroom and nice bathroom products. The lobby lounge is very nice and got quite lively in the evenings. Convenient shuttle service from the airport, b... Read more

The lady at info desk was tremendous and gave me great directions and tips for parking, early flight out and all kinds of help. The two ladies in the lounge on the club floor were also fabulous. I wrote their names down, I will look for the scrap of paper. My husband become too ill to fly and we had to return home but the one bright spot were the three ladies who were so good to us. I will definitely stay here again when we need to catch an early flight. The public areas were lovely but propert... Read more

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Had a problem with our key not working in the door and front desk person walked back up with us to see what was going on. Seemed to be a issue with the door, they sent a worker immediately up to fix. Very prompt. Only issue I had was the gates for the parking lot. Was supposed to be able to use our room key for the night we were staying but for some reason it wouldn't work. Had to use one of the little white cards it sits out. No biggie just a hindrance. As a frequent traveler, I am accustom to all sorts of customer service. One of the most important parts of your day starts with the beginning, if it goes smoothly your day prediction looks good. The young ladies in the lounge, specifically Joanne and Paige, never failed to great me by name, ask me if I needed anything and bus my table to give me an opportunity to kick start my day in a great atmosphere. They are true assets and I appreciate their hard work and customer service mentality. I... Read more

I checked in here last week and I was baffled to see a half-empty bottle placed next to coffee machine in my room. I informed the front desk and they apologized for it. Being a regular traveller I have seen that the cleanliness of the room has degraded this year. The hotel lounge is good and a good restaurant too. But the housekeeping hasn't been up to mark lately.

We stayed here when we were visiting family who lived nearby. When we pulled up to the hotel we thought yuck. It is typically 70's architecture on the outside and needs to be refurbished on the exterior. However, when we walked into the lobby it was a different story. It is modern and renovated and very stylish. We were put on the executive level floor with the lounge down the hall in a decent room that looked fairly new but we didn't have any view. It would have been nicer to have a pool view b... Read more

The positive things about this Mariott: - very convenient to get to the airport for an early flight the next morning - easy walk to Lombardo's - one of my favorite restaurants - clean - pretty good staff The negatives: - $175 per night? Really? For this???? - Parking is still $12 per night - $10 per day for wi-if? That's just stupid when they charge so much per night - the tub drain did not work, so no bath tonight. I'm going to the Drury next time.

This hotel was chosen for us through Priceline so it was a pleasant surprise having something much nicer than we expected. We used the long term parking, as well. There was not breakfast; but, with flying out early, that was not an issue. The room amenities and the overall comfort of this hotel made for a great experience; plus, it's close to the airport and the shuttle was real nice. Thanks, Marriott!

Let me preface this by Saying Marriott is my hotel brand of choice. This, however, is not one of their best. The staff is friendly and it seems to be clean. The noise in the rooms however, is ridiculous. Maybe it was just my location in the west tower, but the walls are paper thin so I could hear everything in my neighbors' rooms and I constantly hear toilets flushing and water running. Bathrooms are very small. In addition, the hotel lobby and meeting rooms are freezing cold.

I stay at this hotel when I have work trips. The lobby is very nice and the restaurant team was accommodating with my oatmeal to go. I did leave a toiletry bag. I don't understand why hotels don't phone a guest when the housekeeping staff see you left something. I called to inquire with lost and found they were supposed to call me back 4 days ago. Still waiting...

Everything about the hotel is awesome. Starting from the Front desk staff to the house keeping staff. Being a platinum member for Marriott we are allowed to access the concierge lounge where they serve breakfast everyday in the morning from Monday to Friday. It is one of the best spread served by two lovely ladies Joanne and Paige who always welcome you with a gracious smile and also check on you about how things or going and they make sure you feel at home. I was merely here for a little sleep before an early morning flight. I received excellent service at the front desk, a room that was cozy and comfortable appointed with fine linens, and then a friendly ride to the airport. It was fast and simple, and perfect for what I was seeking.

The best part of our stay was the concierge lounge. It offered a great selection of breakfast items, available at 6 am. Paige and Joanne were the attendants there, and they could not have been more pleasant or helpful. They were both there for your every need, full of smiles, and ready to wish you a wonderful day. Really helped to get a work day off to a great start!

Really nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was a little small but fine. I stayed on the third floor and had a great view of the pool area. Did have a drink at the bar and they were on point. Also nice the hotel had a mini Starbucks in the lobby. Overall great stay.
