The Hyatt at the Arch is ideally located near the Arch, downtown museums and dozens of restaurants and other attractions. The hotel is warm and friendly and the hotel staff are welcoming and accommodating. All things considered, the downtown Hyatt at the Arch is an excellent place to stay in St. Louis.

Very nice hotel and very helpful. They have a small store in the hotel but they have a list of complimentary products if you forget something. We decided to stay in St. Louis after an afternoon Cardinals game was switched to an evening game. It was within walking distance of several restaurants and the baseball diamond. Would stay again.

We chose the Hyatt due to it's proximity to the Arch. For an extra $40 I was able to upgrade to a room with an Arch view on the top floor which was spectacular. In addition to the nice view we had a very clean and comfortable room. People were very polite and check-out was easy. I was initially frustrated that the parking garage was full, but it worked out as there is a second parking garage next door which is actually cheaper! I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed here to go to the cardinals game. When we checked in, there was a very strong smell of cologne by the elevators. I figured it was due to all the people, but the smell was there late at night and early in the morning. It was terrible.it was like it was being pumped through the vents like you were in a hollow tee or Abercrombie store. When we got to our room, it was very small. We stayed at this hotel on our way to Colorado for vacation. We wanted to take the kids in the arch, but still get a full day of driving in. The hotel was fairly easy to get to, but a little confusing to figure out parking. Basically you have to park in the garage for i think $17 per night. Anyway, I am a farmer and have a truck, so I literally cleared the roof of the garage by 2 inches, and most spots are designed for compact cars, so that was interesting. We stayed here during a convention in June. Sadly to say, the parking is the pits. We arrived and the lot was "FULL--and yes, it remained FULL our entire stay. Our option was valet at $36 a day or park offsite--very remotely. There is NO parking for cargo vans. Our other attendees had to park the van remotely at the price of $300 + for the week (NO SHUTTLE provided). The evening buffet was reasonable, but not a great selection. As expected in a peak tourist area, the food is outrageous.

My family and I came to town to see the Cardinals and wanted to stay close to the stadium. That old saying , "you pay for convenience " is true in this case. Because it's the 4th of July weekend the hotel raised their prices $110 for a Sunday night. Now I don't mind paying a premium for a room of the hotel warrants it. The Regency at the Arch DOES NOT. After staying here several times over the years, I would've given the Hyatt five stars. However, during this stay, we had a strange thing happen. Too bad I went for only 2 days. With the Arch, it is quite scenic especially if you get a room that faces the Arch and also gives you a great sunrise. Like any other Hyatt, the service was great . This time I did not enjoy the breakfast service as it was slow, too many people attending to me and paying 18 dollars for just plane pancakes and a glass of orange juice was a bit too much. Thereafter I ate at the Starbucks within the same hotel. Location of hotel is great!

We stay at a lot of Hyatts, and I'd say that this one was pretty standard for a city Hyatt Regency. The location was great--we were able to easily walk to the Arch, Busch Stadium, the City Museum, lots of restaurants, etc. The staff was helpful. The rooms were MASSIVE--seriously some of the biggest non-suite rooms and bathrooms that I've seen. Downside--this hotel is old and is starting to show its age. You can tell they've done a fair amount of renovations, but I think even the renovation... Read more

The only negative was the parking...and it was a BIG one! You were forced to valet or self-park somewhere other than the hotel. The line for valet was ridiculously long all the time. The self-parking options were far away which made hauling in our stuff and young kids a huge problem. The garage we had to park in was very dark and not safe for a young pregnant mother and small children to go to on their own. We stayed only b/c hubby didn't want to have to drive home after the Paul McCartney concert, so basically, just being local tourists. For starters, the parking garage was full at around 5pm - not a problem for us, as we have monthly parking at a garage a block or so away, but out-of-towners would be inconvenienced. Our room was nice, very clean with a view of the Mississippi and ESL's Casino Queen. Easy walk to Busch Stadium for the concert (or baseball if you are in town for that reason)... Read more

This hotel is in a great location next to the Arch. But the rooms are older and have signs of its age. The tubs in two different rooms had rust stains and dust or mold on the ceilings. Management offered to give $50 for my troubles but I was not impressed. When you come to this 4 ??? hotel you expect luxury and this is not that. Bottom line the location will always make it popular but it needs renovations. I will personally never stay here again but try it and see how you feel.

There was a wedding on the same floor though so the entire night I could hear the DJ and music blaring through the speakers. If you want a good night's sleep, this hotel is not for you.

Great place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the view from the top floors. They gym was very nice as well. Great view of the Arch and close in proximity to downtown life. The lobby is very nice and comfortable. We were able to sit and do work and feel like we were in a nice open space. Ruth Chris steakhouse is part of the hotel.

We decided to stay here at the last minute and got the Junior Suite at a great price. I was so impressed when we walked in the door that (sadly) I was trying to find something wrong with the place. All I can say is that is was PERFECT. Amazing actually. I just kept saying "Wow" "Oh wow". There was a partial view of the arch- which was still perfect. The place was large and spacious. Our Bellman who helped bring up our luggage was hilarious and very helpful about what to do for the evening. (Ughh... Read more

I was very impressed with this hotel. We stayed here during a soccer tournament and they were ready to meet any need we had. Unfortunately there was a gas leak and the entire hotel had to be evacuated for close to 2 hours around 10 pm. Not very good when you have 3 children with you. When we asked at checkout if there was anything that could be done about the inconvenience, they took that night off the bill! Not very many hotels that would do that! The location was perfect if you are spendi... Read more

I typically stay at this hotel when traveling to STL & need to stay downtown As a Diamond member, I typically get a nice upgrade. Their regency club on the top floor is well stocked throughout the day with a great view of the arch. Walking distance to bars & restaurants & ballpark village. Will be visiting again soon

We had issues with our bathroom. All and all our room was extremely small and we pay $282.00 for one night. We needed a extended check out for 1:00 pm due to a wedding we were and was told no. For $282 I would think it would've been okay.

I got a free upgrade to a somewhat larger room with two double beds, and that was nice (although one of these beds would have been too small for both my wife and I, I was traveling alone this time). I was in room 844, which has a nice view of the old courthouse (that is, the room faces away from the river and the Arch). The windowsill is wide enough to sit on, which I like. There's a mini fridge, and it's empty, but I didn't get a chance to use it. The bathroom is a bath and a half, which means... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for business at the beginning of November 2016. My room was nice and clean. The best part of the hotel was its location - a block from the arch = spectacular views. There's even a sitting area on the 18th floor with a nice Arch view. Additionally, it's walking distance to major downtown attractions. The hotel was 3 restaurants. Taking advantage of my per diem, I tried Ruth Chris several times. Everything I ate was delicious; my favorites were the Lobster Mac n' Chees... Read more

Rooms were just decent. The walls are really thin on their adjoining rooms. But overall the stay was good. Great view of the St. Louis Arch Gateway. The Regency Club was super nice, great food and service in the club.

We were overjoyed with the customer service at this hotel! It was our friend's 40th birthday, so we asked if there were any upgrade opportunities to surprise her before our arrival. We needed a room with a roll in shower, the birthday girl is in a wheelchair, so room upgrades weren't an option. That didn't stop, Heide! She made sure the birthday girl received breakfast buffets for two each morning and dessert waiting for us in the room. When we arrived, our bellman, Vince, couldn't have bee... Read more

The panoramic view of the Arch was exceptional. The location of the hotel nestled into downtown surroundings was quiet convenient to experience local businesses. The open space lay out of the hotel made it easy to see bars & restaurants for guests.

A couple of glitches but not the norm for Hyatt, we would give it another try. The majority of the staff was kind and professional. The first time we had experienced negative interaction with the front desk. Not the first time Ruth Chris failed in customer service. Some of the hostesses are extemely rude. Sorry

I only can speak on my own experience.... My room was on the 10th floor. Double beds, Basic cable, small refrigerator, flat screen TV, coffee maker, no microwave, room appears clean, bathroom looks slightly up to date with minor defect on the door, toilet doesn't flush with a hard flush. Beds, sheets , pillows were comfortable. There are freeways in the area, you may here a loud motorcycle or loud car every now and then.. it's not too bad.. Negatives: parking is not free and depends on the time of the day you may not find parking at the Hotel. It cost me $26 a day to park at the Hotel!. I stayed 6 days.... No complementary breakfast. They offer buffet style, which cost about $16+ per person, kids or cheaper or free depends on age. Staffs appears to be friendly. Location is awesome. You can look out a window and see the arch. That's cool. Previous reviewers are accurate with dated feeling, poor housekeeping, and small beds. Staff seemed to be friendly and attentive. No need to do the valet parking unless you're just lazy or it's a really big weekend for the hotel. Would be great for baseball as well because of location. Not too far a walk to restaurants on Washington St. but don't walk through the closed Locust Street as we were almost mugged there. All... Read more
