I was actually one of the last people to stay at the hotel upon their closure for construction. The staff was extremely friendly regarding the situation, even offering to pay for a cab to another hotel i was relocating to. The building had some issues from what the front desk staff told me and their main concern was making sure no guests were harmed while the building was being redone. Their rooms are beautiful as are most of the views from the rooms so I was glad to hear they will be reopening ... Read more

This place has it all, fantastic rooms, a fabulous in house restaurant, a motorcycle museum, and a motorcycle store all under one roof. Or at least it did when we stayed there. My daughter used this set of establishments for her wedding and it worked so well.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel Ignacio when I was in St. Louis for a wedding. The front desk staff (especially Wesley and Anna) were so wonderful and helpful! The rooms are fabulous and the location is perfect for a visit to St Louis University or downtown St Louis!

The hotel is a beautiful intimate surrounding with excellent service and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and well appointed with art and modern amenities. Don't let the huge mirror fool you; that is a flat screen TV. The mattresses are different than standard hotel mattresses but they sleep great. Our room was very clean which is number one on my list of things to look out for. Enjoy your stay!

We stayed at this boutique hotel last weekend. Amazing hip style and ambiance and the staff was amazing! The beds were very comfy and the view amazing The hotel manager, Stacey Howlett, was wonderfully accommodating. If ever in the need for hotel accommodations, will definitely stay again!!!

Friendly and helpful staff - allowed us to check in early and had great advice on places to eat. Just a short walk to the Fox Theatre. Rooms are small but well designed, with a European hotel feel. Almost a "5", but gave it a "4" because of stains on the carpet and a slightly musty smell from the AC. We will definitely try to stay here again.

We loved the hotel - the staff was fantastic and very helpful with giving us directions to the Fox Theater and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The room was perfect - we certainly didn't need any more room. The rainshower in the shower was awesome! The bathroom fixtures were sleek and gave the bathroom a spa feel. The window coverings kept the light out during the night and the bed was comfortable. There was a small fridge hidden away in a cabinet that was nice, too. We didn't hear any no... Read more

My Mom and I saw "A Prairie Home Companion" at The Fabulous Fox Theatre on Saturday. We stayed at Hotel Ignacio on Olive Street because of its close walking proximity to The Fox. I highly recommend Hotel Ignacio to anyone coming to Saint Louis for a show at The Fox. Hotel Ignacio is beautifully decorated with art by the students at Saint Louis University. The bed was very comfy. Wesley & Anna at Hotel Ignacio are the best. They were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Every h... Read more

We traveled to St Louis to see "A Prairie Home Companion" at the Fabulous Fox Theater. We did have to circle the place once or twice, but after we got our bearings getting in and out of the hotel was a breeze. Free parking was convenient. It was a simple easy walk to the Fox, and there were several good restaurants also within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was well appointed - sleek and simple. An extra chair would be a nice addition. Although our room fronted ... Read more

We spent three nights at the Hotel Ignacio, which we chose due to its proximity to Chaifetz Arena on the Saint Louis University campus. It's also very close to the Fox Theatre and a variety of museums. It turned out to be the perfect choice. We were very happy with the room. The Tempurpedic mattress was amazing! Friendly staff, great sushi restaurant on the premises, convenient and relatively inexpensive parking across the street. We will definitely stay here again.

The room, while small, was well appointed and clean. The motorcycle theme restaurant had good food, though it was a little pricey. Overall a wonderful hotel within walking distance of Chaifetz Arena that's a great place to stay when you're seeing a show or event there.

Had a wonderful experience with Hotel Ignacio for our daughter's wedding over the 4th of July weekend. They were great to work with in the months and weeks leading up to the event as our guests added and subtracted rooms. Staff were all very helpful and polite - loved the atmosphere of the hotel - very clean , neat furnishings and great views of SLU's campus. Our reception was at the Rialto down the street - this hotel's location was perfect for convenience to the reception and a "smaller ho... Read more

Sort of stumbled upon this hotel by accident when booking our trip. I love it! It has a lot of charm throughout the building and in our room - everything feels well thought of. The bed was comfortable. All of our interactions with the staff were great - friendly and good service. Parking is close by and affordable. Wish I could find a hotel like this in all the cities we visit!

My wife and I spent five nights at the Hotel St. Ignacio. It was excellent for us. The location is immediately adjacent to St. Louis University, which made it very convenient for my conference attendance. Our room was very nice. King size bed. The mattress had a crunching sound, but that was not an issue. Very clean. Good air conditioning. Nice shower in a very deep tub! Towels were always fresh, good amenities (eg. shampoo, soap). Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The Trium... Read more

This was my first trip to St Louis and my contacts recommended we stay at Hotel Ignacio. I'm so glad they did. First I must mention that it is a modern, sleek, ultra cool Boutique motel. If you've ever stayed at the San Jose in Austin, Tx-it has that kind of stylistic vibe. There are so many strategically-placed outlets for charging phones, iPads and Bluetooth. As a business traveler, this point alone made me love it. The mattress was the best ever. The shower was a rainfall type shower head an... Read more

Unique hotel. That's about it. Hair all over the shower wall and no coffee pot in the room. Paid $13 for a pot. Lady at the desk was nice, but not very knowledgeable about great places to eat. We wanted some really good food and were sent to a pizzeria. For the price it's nothing special. I wouldn't stay there again.

I was unable to get 2 consecutive nights at the Chase Park Plaza so stayed first night in St Louis at Hotel Ignacio. We loved it! From the nice ladies reception with great restaurant ideas to the super cool art in the lobby, we loved our visit. The room was laid out very well and our view of the cathedral lovely. The shower head was a nice surprise.

The Hotel Ignacio is is a gem of a boutique hotel. It has a modern vibe, a distinctive feel, and a lot of really cool little touches and amenities that set it apart from even the best of the nicer, mid-level chain properties that try to not feel like, well, a chain hotel. Friendly, professional service at the front desk, very modern rooms, and a really nice walk-in shower with a rainfall showered. My son and I chose this property because it was close to a concert venue and Pappy's BarBQ (this is... Read more

I've been traveling for work for the past 15 years, so I've seen my share of hotel staff. My colleague and I got to Ignacio after being transferred there from Chase Park Plaza due to a leak. We got there extremely irritated and angry, but Erica and Ashley were so friendly and professional that we immediately felt better. Even when I had issues with the bath in my room, Erica was as supportive and professional as one can be. They were thoughtful, helped us to get around, and inquired about the ... Read more

This hotel is great, but it falls short in many ways. It's in a great location across from the SLU campus, in a sort of cul de sac that made it a bit hard to find. It's an old building, probably a warehouse of some sort, that's been transformed into a quite a nice hotel. The feel and décor and rooms are stark, in a minimalist way... painted brick walls, stark coloring in the rooms, sleek furniture and it works well for eye appeal. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I have given ... Read more

I stayed at Hotel Ignacio for one night. Upon arrival I was offered a compimentary upgrade to a suite. I think the room number was 510. The hotel's entrance is a little hard to find. The facade that faces the SLU athletic fields looks like the front of the hotel, but you have to pass that facade, then take a right and another right to find the lobby in a small tastefully landscaped cul de sac. The hallways as well as my guest room smelled very musty, and my allergies definitely kicked in. If you... Read more

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel with contemporary decor based on the arts. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great dining experience. We choose an American style restaurant but there is also a Sushi Bar in the lounge area. There are many interesting architectural touches, paintings and sculptures throughout the hotel. Our suite was amazing. We are definitely planning on returning.

I can't imagine staying anywhere else when attending the Joyce Meyer Women's conference in St. Louis. This was my second stay here and I'm still bemoaning a microwave (first world problem, I know) but it would be very helpful for re-heating your take-out food. There is a restaurant (actually two) connected to this Hotel. When staying be prepared to spend money on food without the ability to re-heat. If you know this ahead of time you can plan accordingly. Each room has a fridge. I stayed her... Read more

We stayed in room 215 on 10/21/2016. It was our second stay at this hotel. I like the uniqueness of the decor in the public areas and design of the rooms, however, our bed was NOISY! Every time we moved around the slightest bit, the bed creaked to the point it woke us up through the night. I reported this to the front desk when we checked out and they promised to have maintenance look at it. Our former stay took place when the hotel was newer and the room seemed more attractive than this visit. ... Read more

I came to town for an event at the nearby beautiful Fox Theater and chose this hotel for location but quickly realized I would have chosen it for its quality. Small 49 room and two suite hotel across from St Louis U. Essentially a partially industrial feel with some interesting art throughout. Aveda bath products are great. This was a cool hotel. We had tickets to the fox so thought it would be convenient. It was within walking distance. The rooms were cool and the lobby was nice. We walked down to a sports bar and a brewery in the afternoon which was fun. Our show was at 8pm. It was a short walk to the fox. After the show it was around 10pm and we were starving and thought we could come back to the triumph grill for dinner and also listen to music after in the lobby/sushi bar as advertised on the hotel website. Hotel rooms were great but Reception was poor. I arrived around 9 pm on November 20th and the night receptionist was extremely rude and impatient. When I asked these questions she answered tersely as if it was enormously difficult to provide basic information to visitors. Otherwise my stay was good. The rooms are clean and modern. Nice stay. Good boutique hotel. Front desk folks were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Reason for only 4 rating: Very musty odor in halls and room. I woke up with very red eyes. Could they have a mold problem? Also, when we asked about breakfast after my husband looked instead the Triumph Grill and saw no one, we were told to stick our heads in the kitchen and call for the cook because she might be cleaning something.
