I've stayed in Holiday Inns elsewhere and found most to be pretty average, but this one was definitely a step up. The room was spotless, with the bathroom looking to be newly refurbished. Gym equipment was mostly new (it's only small, but good enough). I didn't try the indoor pool, but it looked welcoming. The breakfast buffet was good and very reasonably priced.

This Holiday Inn on 366 is a good value. Whenever I stay in St. Louis and make a reservation in a hotel on Priceline, I enter "Sunset Hills", ask for a three star hotel, name my price, and inevitably the Holiday Inn is the hotel. They are finished remodeling, and the entire place is quite attractive. They do NOT offer a free breakfast, and the restaurant on the premises is quite expensive, but I settle for that inconvenience because they let the rooms go at a low price. Hint: If you want a ... Hi I have never written a review, but, felt this trip warranted it. I've been good for about 3 extended trips (longer than 3 nights) per year for about 10 years. My first impression of this hotel was to leave and find another hotel. The decor is tired and the elevator was old and noisy. I'm glad I didn't leave! The rooms weren't special, but, they were bug free and clean ( I don't unpack before I check for bugs!). I figured it was too late for tonight and we would stay the night and find a... Read more

This hotel is just ok. Not bad for just an overnight stay. The building is old and in need of some repairs and updating. The overhead canopy on the outside door was missing - only a frame remained. We noticed a hole in the stucco on the side of the building that birds were flying in and out of. Our room was updated but felt cheaply done. The bed was very comfortable. The walls are very thin as we could hear the conversations of the couple staying next door to us. We used the indoor pool ... Read more

Stayed here for a weekend convention so didn't choose this hotel. It is conveniently located for this event and the hotel is pleasant. It is clean. Breakfast is available in small attached restaurant which is not yet open for other meals - the front desk said it should open soon. Tile floors in rooms are tile since pet friendly. While clean, they are noisy. The walls do allow some neighbor noises. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.. I only observed one working elevator that was ... Read more

I stayed at this property from 5/20-5/22 to attend a wedding nearby. I checked in Friday. Despite being told that I would have a king size bed, there were double beds. Didn't want to make it an issue so I remained in the room. There were no issues Friday night. Saturday night, however, there were children running up and down the hallway and slamming their doors. I was on the 4th floor and called my friend on the 3rd floor to ask if she heard all of the noise and she said yes. This went on for ab... Read more

I called this hotel after making my reservation to ask if my son who would be arriving prior to us would be allowed to have access to the room. I was asked to provide copies of my ID and credit card and fill out a form that was e-mailed to me. I followed the instructions and provided the form as well as the required copies. Spoke with 3 staff members during this process and when my son arrived he was told that he could not check in because he was under 21 (he's 20). He was made to wait for ... Read more

This hotel has gone downhill. I requested a low floor room and received a room on the top (fourth floor). The room had been updated, but not coordinated. You could not turn on the shower until you were completely inside. The faucet was was tilted, the bathroom door would not close properly, on and on. They have closed down the restaurant next door, thus no evening meals available on site. Breakfast---with only two other customers we waited 20 minutes for one scrambled egg and toast. ... Read more

I travel for work and I'm not loyal to any hotel chain, so I stay in Holiday Inn's from time to time. And they're inconsistent. Some make me think "not worth the low price" while others (like this property) surprise me on the upside. Here's what I liked about this place: First, location: Within walking distance of my customer's office AND restaurants. Second, room: Clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. Third, staff: Check-in/out were fast and painless and a call to the front desk yielded... Read more

This is an older property that has been remodeled. The floors are covered with ceramic tile, not carpeting. It has a clean, modern look but can be hard on bare feet. Over the course of our four-day stay we were often left without enough towels and no shampoo. I spotted our maid on day two and she did not understand English very well, but managed to apologize. After that we had towels and shampoo. The room HVAC system had a thermostat at the unit and another one the wall. Neither one kept the te... Read more

As far as the star rating goes, I don't think this hotel is any more than 2.5 stars, or in reality, is perhaps pushing it to near 3 star. It is comfortable to stay. The building is a little dated and the rooms lack carpeting. The check-in and check-out staff were professional and very polite and helpful. The room was fairly well considering the star rating I mentioned above. The bed was comfortable but pillows a little too bulky for my taste. The sleep quality was great. The HVAC was very effic... Stayed here for a week while in town for my son attended hockey camp. There is no doubt this is an older property but has been recently remodeled. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. We saw a few spiders in the bathroom so they sent some to spray the room. The room had a small refrigerator but no microwave. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and a large indoor hot tub. The hotel is located by several restaurants and all kinds of shopping.

I had made my reservation in advance so check in was a breeze. Being a lover of mid century furnishings, I loved the décor here, which is complete MCM! The staff (Dylan in particular) was ever so helpful with suggesting nearby restaurants - which were fantastic - printing out directions, and just nice in general. Wifi worked with no problem. Bed was super comfy and room was well stocked with linens, etc. On the day of my departure, a check out receipt was discreetly slipped under my do... Read more

They did update the lobby and rooms. I had the two bed and desk arrangement with wooden floors. Extra outlets and usb ports around the room. It was very clean and cool. Lots of towels for the bathroom. The WiFi worked great. The only two downside are the $10 breakfast which is the same breakfast you get free at the Holiday Inn Express (which includes the plastic plates, plastic coffee cups and plastic silverware). Also, there is no printing at the business center. There is a sign that say... Read more

This hotel has a really funny-looking front exterior. However, the inside is quite nice. They have done a massive renovation and the rooms are great. Our room was not as clean as it should have been. There was debris behind the bathroom trashcan from a previous guest and a few ants around the coffee maker area. I'm sure other rooms were fine. We ate their buffet breakfast which is $10 per person. It was wonderful. They had lots of different items including real bacon, but you could also o... Read more

A great quiet motel with in driving distance of just about everything.. Good buffet breakfast. Shopping near by. It was easy to find very clean and friendly staff. Our only problem was trying to get a crib in our room. We checked in round 3 after asking twice for a crib it finally came after we had all gone to bed. They brought rollaway first. The room was pretty good, although the floor was this weird laminate/tile stuff throughout. There was no carpet in the room. The hotel itself appears to be pretty old, probably because it is pretty old. The restaurant was adequate for breakfast. Overall, my stay wasn't great but it was a reasonably safe place to lay my head for the night.

Not impressed with the housekeeping department. When I moved the trash can in the bathroom I see a old dried up slice of pickle. The floors were not too clean as well. The hotel was in a decent area with lots of shopping and restaurants. The rooms were decent. I did find blood stains on my comforter. The staff just brought me new sheets for me to make the bed up with. The staff did not apologize or anything. The concierge was very rude. We stayed a couple of nights at the Holiday Inn for a baseball tournament. The room was very nice, liked the hardwood instead of carpets, made it seem a little cleaner as you never know what's in the carpet. The bathroom was on the small side and the door seemed like it should open out and not in to make for more space, minor detail. The biggest drag was the bar. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and the bed was wonderful. I do have two complaints: 1. the cabinet in the bathroom is too large making the bathroom very tight and the waste can hard to reach, i'm sure that the housekeeping staff has a hard time taking care of it. 2.when the bathroom light is on, it reflects off the mirror in the entry and right into the eyes of anyone trying to sleep in the first bed. The room looked like it had just been given a facelift. The floor was not carpeted, which I was happy about, I am very concerned about carpet in motel rooms.
