We were passing through town and wanted to stay at a casino/hotel and decided to try The Hollywood...bad decision! Very outdated, old room with poor lighting, telephone did not work, no outlet easily available for laptop, extremely small bathroom, and the stool ran all night long! Not sure how other rooms are, but this one was about the worst one we have ever encountered in years of travel.

Both, the hotel and casino are dirty and outdated. They need to hire a better cleaning crew! The casino is super small too. Their customer service is terrible as well. I would go to Ameristar Casino if you are in the area.

The casino has been renovated and is very nice. The bartenders are friendly and efficient. The buffet food was actually very good and much better than your average buffet. The room was nice but the shower curtain rod looked like someone had been swinging on it and it was loose. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows are very firm which made sleeping difficult. The room could also use a little bit of an update but overal a nice place.

Friendly front desk staff. A fair little walk from where you park your car to get to your room-but not much worse than most of the bigger places are I guess. Could not find a cart anywhere...I think the bellhops had them pretty tied up. Anyhow, the room was pretty basic with no problems encountered. The maids were around and we asked them for an item or two and found them to be quite rude and didn't care much if we were satisfied or not. Just the opposite at the front desk though. We asked for a... Read more

This place has good points and bad points. I will list the good first. The front desk staff was very nice. They let us check in early because our room was ready. The girl at check in was very personable. The casino itself was fun. Slots were definitely tight for the most part but my husband had fun playing in the blackjack tournament on Wednesday night. The Buffett food was good but the service sucked in the restaurant. The seating is so cramped in there, you are literally sitting at a tab... Read more

I've been 4 times in the past 2 months and only lost once. But the other 3 times made up for it. Fun machines too! (I like the newer noisy ones.) The open floor layout is nice and machines aren't crammed in.

I have been here a few times. This is one of the better Casinos in St. Louis area with a good covered parking garage, security trucks monitoring the place, clean walkways and a large casino space. I took the membership card during my first visit and was told that upto $500 of my losses on day one would be reimbursed. I was supposed to get a mail. When I did not get the mail even after two months, I went back to the casino and talked to customer service. The fine print items now came up. She expl... Read more

The food was very good, had lots of nice choices. The area was nice and clean, waitress was very attentive. Would go back if ever in the St Louis area. They had a sushi bar which I had not seen before at a buffet. The food looked fresh and the staff was attending to the food items.

The room was OK. The bed was very comfortable the room was compact but clean and up to date. My view was of a parking Garage. That was creepy when this development is not close to anything for miles and a whole bank of rooms had a multi-story parking garage view. I think someone was asleep when they designed this. The place offers free valet which was great. They do have self -park areas. The hotel has several restaurants and a full casino. It was not very busy which was nice.

We picked to try a new casino while on a trip to St. Louis and picked Hollywood casino and I am super happy we did so it was the most amazing place. My husband played while me and our 2 boys enjoy the room and hotel amenities the room was a place I didn't even want to leave!!! Room 810 junior suite was worth every penny we paid and the champagne brunch was the finishing touch! Highly recommend this place and room??? 4 hours away hoping to make my way back soon!
