We stayed for one night. We went to the Fox theatre. It was hidden just a little bit near the Metro, so you must be aware and looking for it. The employees were very nice and the breakfast buffet was very clean. The doors in the bathroom in our room, the paint was scraped off and the floors were not the cleanest. Dirt in corners. I guess I am picky. The beds were clean. The location you could actually walk to the Galleria in about half and hour if you wanted to. You could hear every thing in the ... Read more

On our way driving through to get back to Indiana, stayed just overnight. Room was clean and easy access for getting our luggage into. It is the older style, so you have to be outside to get to anything. Nice breakfast in the morning. There were numerous places to eat around, & a large mall right across the way.

I stayed in an apartment in Block 19 for two weeks on a lengthy business trip, there were a few of us on the site utilising five rooms in total. Staff are great and very welcoming. The manager, Hank made a great effort to introduce himself to all guests and was happy to address any concerns guests had. Rooms are clean, spacious and have a great fully functioning kitchen. There is a Target and Whole Foods less than 10 minute drive away. Parking is free and plenty of spaces are available. Enjo... Read more

We stay at Residence Inns quite often with our family. This was unusual in the room doors are open to outside. Like a converted apartment complex. But Inside the rooms were very clean and current, just like other RIs. *The staff here is out of this world friendly!!* Gold stars for cleaning crew, front desk, maintenance and food service in the morning. Wow! We've not seen consistent kindness like that at any other Marriott hotel we have been to. You set the bar high!! Drawbacks: no h... Read more

This hotel doesn't honor a 2 bedroom suite if you have a Marriott Reward's Card free night stay. They won't even allow you to pay to upgrade until the day of your trip which on a Saturday the 2 bedroom wouldn't be available. The manager wouldn't help and the person who answered the phone laughed at my complaint. If you have small kids who need to stay with you and you want them to have their own room you are out of luck. My Reward rep called another hotel and immediately got a 2 bedroom suite. I... Read more

We booked this stay through Priceline, so we didn't specifically pick this place. But, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The grounds were very well kept and clean. The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff always smiled and greeted us. The room was very clean and had a complete kitchen(I highly recommend the complimentary popcorn). The breakfast was also very nice. All I can say is keep up the great job you are doing!!

Receiving 4 stars because of how great the staff is. The staff more than make up for anything that may be lacking with this property, which is probably 3 stars. I can tell that management and staff do their best to maintain and upkeep this Residence Inn. It looks like the older style RI's (apartment complex style), but I had no complaints with our room- it was clean and spacious, and had very comfy beds. Also had a nice basketball court and pool. I called Marriott rewards and they guaranteed me our room would not be cleaned. Friday morning they are knocking on the door to clean our carpets. My wife and I stayed at cheap motels before, so I wanted to stop being cheap and get a better room. I was told of residence inn by my brother, and I stayed a few nights with my him while he was here on business. The house keeper that cleaned our room was a respectful young man named william, and he made us feel welcomed and at home. My only downside was the fact that the room seemed a little dated, and the breakfast was ittle bland after a few days. Because of these problems, my wife advised me ... Read more

This property consists of many buildings that contain 2-4 rooms. Which makes it seem like these used to be an apartment complex. That could be a good thing if you were staying for an extended amount of time because you would have your own apartment. Overall it was a lot like other Residence Inns. But the downside of this layout is you will have to walk from your room across he property to the morning breakfast. I would stay here again if we were staying for a week or so. But for just a coupl... Read more

The Residence Inn St. Louis Galleria is a convenient and reliable place to stay. My son and I were in town to visit Washington University, which is about 10 to 15 minutes away. The rooms were very satisfactory, a little bit dated, but very clean. I had a two bedroom and two bathroom suite...the second bedroom was loft style and on the second floor. The kitchen was useful and decent in size. The bathrooms were very clean, but the water pressure was just a tad week. The property had all the ... Read more

This is a wonderful, clean (really clean!) Marriott property that is unbelievably well situated for a business trip, a vacation stop (as we did) or an overnight. Within walking distance of the metro, a major shopping center, and within close distance to anything else you may need or visit (and there's a Starbucks only a mile down the road.) We stayed for three nights, did major sights, museums, the Anheiser Busch tour, the Chocolate factory tour, and everything we did was a short drive away. Th... Read more

I stayed here in a 2BR loft for 2 weeks and the property continually exceeded my expectations. The property is clean, the grounds well kept, and the staff was very friendly. There is a pool and grill area, a very nice laundry room, and a gate house where they offer happy hours and other social activities like food truck Wednesdays. I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is more a collection of town houses than a hotel. When you check in you won't be staying in the main area. the rooms are more like very large studio apartments with a full kitchen. Seems like would be a comfortable place for a week long stay or something. HOWEVER. I came in late and just needed to crash so ignored the black marks on a pillow which looked like mascara that hadn't washed off (even if it was mascara, yuck) and even, a bug crawling on the pillow. The people at this Residence Inn could not be nicer ! They were very accommodating when we requested a suite with a more private downstairs bedroom. However, the housekeeping needs a TON of help. We found a used bath towel still hanging in one of the bathrooms as well as a nasty, uncleaned toilet seat upon check in. Stayed three nights. You can tell it is a bit of an older property but has been, and is being, well maintained. For longer-term stays, would definitely consider. Room was clean and had everything needed for an extended stay. Even though it is near I-64/40 and 170, noise was not bad at all. Breakfast room was not available, so they moved to an upper room in the main building. Food was fine, staff was great. Will certainly consider staying here next time we're in STL.

Stayed here for the Bands of America weekend as the town was extremely booked. If you want to ride the metro it is within walking distance. If you have leftovers or want to make a simple meal the kitchen is decent. Overall just an ok experience. Nothing great. The room was in the back of the building on the top floor, two stories. Seems a bit run down and not well manicured. Would only stay here again if there were no other rooms in St. Louis. Just hard to believe it is a Marriott property. Ther... Read more

I like Residence Inns. I like the concept and the layout. This one is not at the top of the list, however. The property is a little tired and can stand an updating. Example: no USB outlets by the desk - only plugs. Decor was tired. Also, I'm not sure about the location. I thought being by the Galleria would make it pretty upscale. However, in the evening, there is a security guard screening cars at the entrance to the property. Also, some of St. Louis' finest were called in over what wa... Read more

Having stayed at many Residence Inn properties I was surprised by the lay out of this one. Though the rooms were comfortable and well appointed, the general lay out of the property is very disjointed. Having to walk from one building, potentially down a street or across the property, to get to another room or to the main office was a hassle. Further, the breakfast area is chaotic, crowded and cramped-- apparently they are in the midst of a remodel. I would not recommend this if you have any spe... Read more

This place looks like it is on the chopping block. We came during the week of Thanksgiving, and although the staff was very nice, the place seemed half vacant. Honestly, I don't like the "apartment style" rooms, that are all exposed to the outside. They are basically just buildings of 8-plex units, all 2nd story are walk up, no elevator. If you happen to have a unit facing parking, great, but I can't imagine how annoying it would be to have a unit that's on the backside of one of the build... Read more
