My wife and I stayed here while visiting KC. Our hosts booked the room for us and man, we were not disappointed. The room was a good size (king bed) and very clean. The other guests were quiet so we were not disturbed while in the room. The staff was great. They were always smiling and always pleasant. We did not eat any of our meals there, but there is a full service restaurant and bar that has great views of downtown KC. I wouldn't have minded some time out on their terrace, but we were just t... I stayed here two nights, convenient location. They have a shuttle bus out front so we inquired if we could use it to get down to the convention center as our volleyball team was playing there (and we booked a block of rooms for every single player and their families...20+ people). We were told no. Started off not super impressed, but the first night was fine... The second day however was a different story. We got back to the hotel about 9:00 p.m. and the parking lot was full of cars, limos,... Read more

Very comfortable new Courtyard, one built upward and not with a courtyard any more. The hotel has a beautiful view of KC, a good cafeteria, comfortable clean rooms. A very nice pools long enough to swim a few laps without getting dizzy. As usual, everyone was very cordial and very helpful. It´s really more in North Kansas City and maybe 15 miles from KC, but he location was great for me.

We were on a road trip from Chicago to St Louis and decided to make a change of our itinerary and go to Kansas City. We were only there one night but we both asked each other why we didn't stay in this hotel chain before. Our room was clean, quiet and very attractive. We were very happy with everything and plan to start staying at this hotel again next time we take a trip.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, business, trips with friends, and just a getaway. It is clean, nice decor, pleasant hotel. A couple of negatives - there is not a mini fridge in room which I feel at this price point that is usually standard at hotels. Second - there is no coffee available in the lobby until 7 am !! Also quite unbelievable for any hotel but especially at this price. I am usually down in lobby by 6 to 6:30 am and most hotels offer coffee at that time. At this hotel n... Read more

Second time at this property and once again wonderful stay. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. Stayed here for 4 nights and the front desk staff were not friendly at all. Each time we come back or leave they never said hello. However, when I checked out the young man that checked me out was very nice. Don't remember his name. Also, the lady at Starbucks was very nice too. Overall, great hotel.

My family and I enjoyed all the space this hotel has to offer. With a safe courtyard overlooking the city, we found couches and sitting areas a pleasant change from having to always visit family and friends inside, or in a lobby. The firepit was great, but may I recommend wiping off the tables outside in the morning so people can eat outdoors. It would be nice if there was no smoking at the firepit, we wanted to eat outdoors, but smokers made it less than appetizing for me and my little children... Read more

This courtyard was so clean and our 2 queen room was quite spacious. The pool was a typical indoor pool, but it had an attached patio that was fabulous to spend time on! There was even a space for the kids to run in the grass in their "courtyard". If free breakfast was included it would get 5 stars!

I almost always stay at Courtyards for work. This one was nice, newer, and very clean. Outdoor patios on lobby level were a nice touch and include views of downtown KC in the distance, although admittedly some freeway noise can be heard. Gym was decent - plenty of machines, even for busy time of morning.

We stayed at this hotel and had our guests stay there for our wedding. It has a great patio for people of large groups to mingle and hang out. It even has a fire pit. The views are amazing and the rooms are spacious. We had the entire bridal party get ready there. It had great lightning and there was plenty of room. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

This review is months overdue. I stayed here in October 2015, and also stayed here in May 2014. This is my favorite Marriott in K.C. It's not as well situated as the Marriotts on the Country Club Plaza, however, it is situated mid-way between the Country Club Plaza and the Airport, so convenient in that regard. It's also fairly new so it has a fresh look. Some of the rooms have a nice view of the K.C. skyline. They have a nice indoor pool as well as a pretty good sized fitness center. The... Read more

I had a girls trip in Kansas City and we choose Courtyard Kansas City at Briarcliff because of the location... it is close to the airport (about 15) as well as the River Market, Power and Light District and downtown area. It sits on a hill with perfect views of Downtown KC. They have a lovely patio area with a fire pit and comfortable chairs. The rooms were good size and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a great hotel! We enjoyed the quick 5 minute drive to the River Mark... Read more

Friendly staff, quiet location with comfortable and clean rooms adding up to a very pleasant stay. Conveniently situated for my purposes of being in Kansas City, so very little traffic to contend with. Lots of options for eating out or having a drink in the premises.

Our room last week faced the parking lot but the rooms on the other side of the hall had a great view of downtown Kansas City. We chose this hotel for its great rate and ample parking. The ice machine had plenty of long-lasting ice and the refrigerator in our room was already nice and cold. I am sure the hotel would be a lovely venue for a wedding with the views outdoors, reception area and ball room!

I was in town for a Fri / Saturday automotive event. Check in was easy, and I found my room clean and quiet. The view of KC is great from the patio and having a beverage by the fire pit is perfect on a fall evening. My only complaint has to do with an issue I experienced with parking. On Friday night a severe storm was coming in and I was driving a very expensive classic car. I asked the people at the front desk if I could park the car under the awning for the evening in case there was hail wit... Read more

Family wedding brought us to KC. Hotel is pretty, clean, feels very new. Does not include breakfast with price, instead offering "Bistro" that serves food cafeteria style and somewhat expensive. (We went elsewhere for breakfast.) Staying at hotel at same time was a large group that was quite noisy. They spent the evening at the outdoor fire pit, which was incidentally very pretty, but I was awakened by the group at 2:00AM, and then again at 6:00AM. Yes, they were still awake outside making... Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Location an easy drive to downtown and the airport. As with other Courtyard properties they have an overpriced Bistro in the lobby. The staff was friendly and professional.

Sitting upon a hill, great view. Employees were very kind and hospitable. Husband had a conference and I took in the city cites. Clean and very nice. Easy check in and check out. Small bites for food and bar service.
