I enjoyed the food and especially the top notch service from Simone and Cinthia! I looked forward to coming down each morning and being greeted and served a latte:) I felt like I was in Europe. I prefer this type of breakfast!

The hotel sorella is located in a great location right on the plaza. They have a rooftop bar that offers a great view and a pool up there too. The pool is small but nice. The rooms are very stylish and comfortable. They also have a shuttle that will give rides within a five mile radius.

Stayed recently for business without even realizing I had booked one of the best hotels in town! Every bit of service I received was top notch- Brent at the front desk made sure of that. The shuttle service is a luxury black Escalade, the euro-style breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel staff eagerly helped with anything I needed. The entire hotel is chic and modern, really striking details to be found throughout. I didn't get a chance to indulge, but the rooftop pool is gorgeous! HIGHLY RECOMM... Read more

The room is beautiful. Understated and gray - gorgeous. However, I wanted a king bed and didn't get one. Boo. I told my daughter I would have to spend half the night in each one. Can you tell I'm disappointed? There is valet and you probably have to valet. Parking is at a premium. They do have a free 24/7 shuttle. Also, they have a free breakfast, free wi-fi, etc. They also have a 24/7 business center. It is lovely, but I'm still disappointed.

The staff are completely incompetent. We were part of a wedding group and had our stay split across two reservations (one being the wedding block reservation). Multiple cards have been charged for the entire stay, and we were barraged by a series of phone calls and forceful door knockings to clear out of our room between reservations despite explaining multiple times that we had both reservations. There are also mystery valet charges on the room despite the fact we did not have a car. They also... Read more

Hotel Sorella is a fun, trendy boutique hotel in Kansas City that was perfect for my friend's bachelorette party. It was within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the rooftop pool was perfect, especially with the rented cabanas. The service was impeccable from late night room service to the event planning to the valet parking and complimentary Escalade. Could not speak more highly of this location and I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in the city.

This is a charming hotel with great staff throughout the hotel. They are very accommodating and friendly. They had a busy weekend while I was there with Big Slick happening and a wedding but the staff never seemed stressed. I hope to return again. The rooms are well kept and the area surrounding the hotel is quite nice too. One thing I recommend is go enjoy their complimentary breakfast. This hotel provides a modern European feel both in rooms and in food. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with a touch of modern art in its interior decorations. Food reminds me of northern Europe (if I am not mistaken, hotel owner is from Denmark, actually) as opposed to a typical American breakfast: coffee/espresso/capuccino/etc., cold cuts (you have to try salmon!). No omelets, which is unfortunate... well, they don't really have a kitchen, or so it seems... Simone & Cinthia are very he... Read more

We'll run over all but not a bargain hotel. Great views from top floor rooms and the bar and restaurant. Interesting flashy decor but not my style. The rooms have fully stocked refrigerators and a snack tray that are wired so they can tell if anything is removed and add a charge to your bill. A real turn off. No space at all in the refrigerator for anything a guest might want to keep cold. However they did bring a second small refrigerator to the room for our use minutes after the second time we... We had a great 2 night stay. The service was great, especially the morning brunch service. Simone and Cinthia were so accommodating and fun! They both went above and beyond standard service. The service crew during happy hour was just as good. We were driven to dinner and picked up very promptly. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel was amazingly quiet at night! We were on the 5th floor. We hope to come back soon!

The place is great, wonderful room and friendly staff. Joshua was particularly friendly, helping us out with two rides and being beyond the call helpful. The location is perfect. The plaza all within easy walking distance, but off to the western edge just out of the fray. Courtyard and rooftop are quiet with nice views of surrounding vintage buildings. Thanks!

We stayed two nights at Hotel Sorella in June 2016. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The rooftop pool was nice if a little small. The hotel is very close (within walking distance) to Country Club Plaza where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The front desk staff were profession and very helpful. We stayed at the Sorella to celebrate a friends birthday. The property is stunning from the lobby with its giant chandelier to the rooftop bar and pool. The service is truly 5 star. If you communicate ahead of your arrival they can arrange almost anything. Our service at the pool bar and breakfast buffet was perfect - food is excellent and the cocktails are top drawer. I'm pretty loyal to another big chain of hotels but when I'm in KC IST the Sorella or nothing!

I read that there was some confusion on parking, but I thought self park was very easy. There's a 'P" sign for parking that's very clear and is easy for in/out if you don't want to wait for valet. It's located under the hotel and is the same cost ($18/day) as if you were going to valet.
