Stayed here for a long weekend of Royals baseball and a bachelor party fun. We spent significant time in the hotel bar and could not have been happier with the service we received from Tessie & Lorraine. Both of them were patient and understanding as we enjoyed our time there. Will be coming back.

Me and my wife were in Kansas city for my graduation. We checked into the Adams Mark hotel and Conference Center on the 12th of May. Nice entrance way but the quality of the room did not match. Light bulbs were blown old bulb were just laying on the bathroom sink, then coffee maker didn't work and phone cord broken and would not stay connected o the receiver. We had to leave for graduation and reported all these things to front desk as we left. This is what really upset me, we returned later tha... Read more

Everything at the Adam's Mark was wonderful. From the moment I walked in with my 10 year old son, I felt welcomed. Demoure at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating...even gave us a room with a view of Kauffman Stadium for my son. He was thrilled. We ate dinner and breakfast at Casey's and the food was very good. The room was spacious, clean, and updated. We had a wonderful stay.

The hotel itself, while clean, appears to need some updating. Aside from the oldish wallpaper, and beat up doors..the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room everyday, in fact, the entire staff shined and turned a "I stayed there once." experience into a "I'd stay there anytime." event. Tessie, Vicki and Lorraine were great at the bar/restaurant with special mention to Vicki for going above and beyond to correct a kitchen error with an order. George and Sanjuana were great in the... I booked this room for my son, daughter in law, and new grandson, for a week. I have another grandson here and thought with the water park and swimming pool, they would have a nice time. The check-in was slow and the staff was rude. The girl at the counter actually shoved my credit card at me and said, "take it." We went up to the room and it was 100 degrees inside. The thermostat was broken. There was a mini fridge. We opened it and it was dirty and smelled repulsive. We asked for a dif... Read more

This hotel has some great points (location), but a lot of areas that need work. Next time I'm looking for a hotel near Kauffman Stadium, I'll try another of the ones in the area. I chose this hotel because it is marketed as pet friendly, but pet tolerant would be a more accurate term. The 'dog' rooms are in the same area of the hotel as the indoor pool, making the hallways and rooms in this area uncomfortably humid. So humid that running the AC non-stop all three days at 65 degrees still l... Read more

The location and hotel services are great - right near the football and baseball stadiums with easy access and off the interstate. There is a shuttle that takes guest to the stadium and picks up after. A great service for game days. The bar serves a nice variety of draft and bottle beers. The wings from room service were good. My rate could have been better but I booked at the last minute on a holiday weekend with a Royals baseball game being played that day...so the late planning did drive... Read more

I rated the Adam's Mark in Kansas City 4 out of 5 for value. I was a bit afraid from some of the reviews, but overall I felt the price aligned well with what we received. I wonder if I would have even put as much notice in the few snags we had if I had not read some of the bad reviews. The staff was nice and my kids had fun.

Mixed review..Good staff in an old building. It seems like management is trying to bring back the former glory. I was not impressed with the room/building (broken shower rod, mini fridge missing/didn't work, lack of towels unless requested). The room was clean and the hotel was conveniently located next to Kauffman Stadium. However, the exterior of the hotel was dated and looked somewhat rundown. The interior of the hotel was also dated and the elevators and halls were dirty. We could also smell cigarette smoke in the room. The hotel works if you're staying there to attend a baseball or football game. Wouldn't stay there otherwise.

We booked our room at the Adam's Mark primarily due to the location - across the interstate, and an easy walk, from Kauffman Stadium. I have stayed at several Adam's Mark properties (St. Louis and Memphis) and assumed that this property would meet their standards. Not so! This property is worn out. The air conditioner could not adequately cool the room (which faced west) and the furnishings were dated. The bedding was old and noisy and only moderately comfortable. The telephone was missing... The check in process was a mess, as we waited in line at 5 pm for about half an hour only to be told that the rooms weren't ready. After reading several reviews, I was skeptical about coming to the hotel because based on my summary, it was either a hit or miss. However, the man at the front desk, Demere, was really helpful and nice. Our room was clean and we didn't have any problems with room service. The children loved the water park and the arcade. I would say that the water park could have been a little cleaner though. For a nice weekend getaway with activities for the children in the hotel, it was worth it.

We stay here quite often and this time was not as pleasant. Our room was open when we got there, we had four people and only two towels, the air wasn't working much at all. I had to call the front desk and five of the six times I got hung up on and finally when someone actually took my call they didn't bring the fan I asked for or our extra towels so we could shower after being at the Chiefs game! I had to call three more times for those items and finally they came an hour and a half later! Not ... Read more

My bottom line here is do not go... We were suckered in to this hotel by a Groupon deal. We thought we were going to have a decent time and save some money over Great Wolf Lodge. Immediately we were uncomfortable with our surroundings, the outside looked quite run down. It was dirty inside and out, and we did not feel entirely safe. It was not at all what we expected. The floors inside were visibly un-vacuumed both in the hall and in the room. (Food, trash etc.) I had to use a damp towel to cl... Read more

We stayed overnight with 2 adults and 2 kids. I booked through a groupon that included coco keys passes and a $25 arcade card. Overall the check in was quick. The line for the elevators was insane so we just took the stairs. The hotel is a pretty quick walk to Kaufmann field but they do have a shuttle for guests. I was impressed by the room, it seemed recently updated. The water resort shows signs of wear and tear but overall it was nice. The lifeguards were engaged covered all of the areas wel... Read more

Been in the KC area for training for a week and chose to stay at Adams Mark. The hotel was in wonder condition...cleaned to perfection and a very comfortable setting. This hotels best feature was the waitress/bartender Tessie! She goes absolutely out of her way to make your dining experience pleasurable and enjoyable! She alone makes the stay at the Adam's Mark, very much worth coming back for seconds!!!

We have previously stayed in the new portion of Adam's Mark, and we found it to be clean and beautiful. This time, we were put on the old side. Our two rooms were in a confusing and dark location that felt like a basement; one room had an odd smell; 3 of the 4 mattresses were terrible; the tub didn't drain, so the last person to shower was standing in a foot of dirty water to begin their shower; one of the showers was ice cold and the other scalding hot, and the faucet would not regulate the tem... We went up to Kansas City for a football game our very first one ever. Wanted hotel close to the stadium and this one was perfect. It is within walking distance of the KC Chiefs stadium it had a shuttle take everyone over and bring us back. Excellent room it was very clean very comfortable bed and big bathroom. They have a waterpark to help relax before the game and in walking distance to a Denny' to eat. Next time we are in Kansas City and need a place to say we know where to go.

I stayed here in August due to the hotel's proximity to Kauffman Stadium. I had planned to walk, as it is close enough, but was pleased to find the hotel provides a "to and from" shuttle service to the park. GREAT. The room was fine, the furnishings a little tired, but really all OK. I did not take advantage of the many amenities the hotel offered. The price alone made the stay a good value. I would stay again based on location, value, and service.

My husband and I stayed at the Adams Mark to attend the Kansas City Chief's home opener on Sunday, 9/11...we're season ticket holders. This hotel has changed hands many times...Adams Mark to Clarion to Holiday Inn back to Adams Mark. The last time we stayed at this hotel was when it was the Holiday Inn. It was not a good experience. With it changing back to Adams Mark, we decided to try it again hoping that the hotel rooms and restaurant food had improved. Unfortunately, it did not. We sta... Read more

The room was pretty nice and the lobby looked good. There was plenty of parking even with the football game going on. It only took about ten minutes to walk to arrowhead stadium. The restaurant could use some work and the servers need some training but it wasn't bad. I will be staying again.

We went here on a recent trip to KC. The lobby area looked fine when we checked in so we went to our room. Upon opening the door was the immediate sight of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and extremely dirty stained carpeting. This room had the original carpet, wallpaper and furnishings from when it opened 20 plus years ago! We asked for another room and it was the same situation. We ended up staying at the hotel next door, this place was SO disgusting and filthy. I later read reviews about thi... Read more

We only needed a clean place to stay for one night to go to a ball game. Should have gone somewhere else. The room and hallway hadn't been swept. No hand towels, just two bath towels and wash cloths. Furniture handles were sticky. The bed looked like a hammock and the mattress was hard. The hair drying looked disgusting. Just plain icky. Woke up at 5AM and couldn't get out and on the road fast enough.

We came for a family night before a day at the stadium. We were really looking forward to the waterpark. Booked directly through the coco key waterpark link for two rooms over a month ago. We get here today to check in and I ask if we need bands for the waterpark. I'm then told it was an extra cost. I was not very happy, we had five people with us and at first they offered me two passes. (The passes were over $20 each) after venting more frustration they gave me four because the waterpark packag... Read more

Stayed here a couple nights while attending a Royal's game. Nice hotel and very good location. Could walk to the stadium and they also had a free shuttle which is very handy. Check in was seamless and room was clean. Would stay here again. Price was very reasonable. Needs some updates...such as new carpet/ chairs. Some stains in carpet and on chairs outside of conference rooms but otherwise was fine.

Right next to the K, can walk across the street and or take the free shuttle bus and hit the baseball game. Also has a waterpark and an outdoor pool. They have a bar and resturaunt in the hotel. A Denny's next door. Great location.

This hotel is in walking distance of the stadium, but they offer a shuttle to and from the hotel. Did not use the waterpark while staying. The room was in need of a little maintenance work...the air conditioning vent needed to be cleaned, and tightened to the wall, bathroom tub needed to be re-caulked. It was small room but was quiet for the most part, considering it was opening NFL weekend. No breakfast offered, but Denny's is within walking distance.

Best thing is the location! We went to two Royals games in a weekend and were able to walk to the K. Quick access to I-70 made other travel around the city pretty easy as well. When you book, read the fine print! I got a great deal on this room through Groupon but didn't realize that it didn't include any passes to Coco Key. They were still an additional $20/person per day. The kids would have been happy with the regular outdoor pool but it was closed and looked like it hadn't been maintaine... Read more

Gia. L was absolutely amazing. He is one of the hardest working individuals I've seen in a long time and always had a smile on his face and worked with such enthusiasm. Every time we had an event in the restaurant area, he was there so I know he works long hours. Definitely the best assets to this establishment!

The hotel is in need of updating. Halls & rooms were dark, dirty and need of new furniture. The mattress felt extremely cheap and squeaked (like it had box springs in it) every time you moved during the night. Room had no remote control in it. The pool area was dark and had a strong chlorine smell. Very disappointed since I have always been extremely please with Adam's Mark locations in the past. Stayed there for the weekend. The lobby is updated and fresh, but that is where it stops. Hotel rooms are run down, wallpaper starting to peel off, hallways are dark (guessing to cover stains in carpet). The room do NOT have refrigerators, but you can request one in your room. When they clean the room only give you one bath towel, but you can call to request more.....Only 2 of 3 elevators worked. Employees were nice but that can only go so far. The pro to the Adam's Mark is the location to Arrowhead stadium! Went to our first Chiefs game and you can't beat the location (although I noted the other hotels with equally attractive location that we will use for our next visit). Our friend booked 3 rooms for us about 9 months ago, when we went to check in, they wouldn't give us the reduced rate unless our friend came downstairs to show her AAA card (which was $140 difference in the rate) - even though our other friends were able to check in... Not a brand new shiny hotel but very nice. I was in K C for the Chiefs/Saints game and the hotel was crowded with very noisy football fans, yet the room was very quiet. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I did Find it odd that the room didn't have a microwave oven. I had dinner twice and breakfast buffet twice in the Sports Bar in the lobby and was pleased with the food. We arrived at the hotel around 9:00pm the night before the Chief's game and it was a party atmosphere. A lot of people were either outside, walking about the lobby which is spacious or hanging out at the bar (off the lobby). It was very congested but understandable given the circumstances. You don't book this hotel unless you are attending a game. There are no other attractions around it, except the onsite water park. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The room has a flatscreen TV. The room had no refrigerator or microwave. This surprised me...most hotel rooms offer both these days. I am a very easy going traveler and keep reasonable standards for hotels. But this hotel is an absolute disaster. My wife and 1.5 year old son were but in a room where the AC did not work and it took over 3 hours for them to move us in June when the temps were in the high 90's. This is an old hotel, attached to an indoor water resort of much later origin. Though it doesn't completely show it's true age, some of it's bones and lungs need changing out.
