The property is clean to Hampton standards but needs to be updated. Low quality dates rooms. Great location if your flying into KC. Looks like they have started a remodel of the breakfast area. Hopefully they will continue on to the rooms.

The hotel was okay, but it's an older hotel and the handicapped room wasn't as accessible as most Hampton Inns. We reserved an airport shuttle for 4 am weeks ahead of time, but the hotel check in lady was very unfriendly and told us that shuttle was full of other people. Would help us with a roll away bed that we needed for one room either. VERY unfriendly! Unhappy situation arranging to keep the rental car longer and inconvenience the next hectic morning. I'll never stay here again.

We used this hotel for their "stay and go" prior to our flight at the start of our vacation. I really appreciated that this older hotel was very well kept, and extremely clean, (which is very important to me). The driver who took us to the airport was very prompt, friendly, and very funny. I would definitely use this hotel again when flying out of the Kansas City Airport.

This hotel is in poor condition. I didn't like the rate increase mid stay as I feel it's a bait and switch type of tactic. 50% of the TV channels did not work during my stay. I would not stay there again....ever.

This hotel was booked for a baseball tournament for our team. Although I reserved my room too late to get the team rate, they insisted I needed to sign an agreement that I would be responsible for any team damage to the hotel. They then claimed I would only be charged for damage by my own child-which I would be responsible for anywhere. The room was shockingly small but clean. The extra furniture, like two moveable footstools, in a very small King room with a couch, are hazardous and in the way.... Read more

I called the hotel from the crazy airport and asked if they had rooms, she said yes! Not only did they book me a night they sent the shuttle driver into the nasty weather to pick me up. We drove in from Omaha to fly our daughter out to OKC on a late afternoon flight. The room was nice, but a little small. The King bed was comfortable. It was nice and quiet. Didn't hear any outside traffic or hallway noises. My only complaint is my wife likes to take baths when we travel and the bathtub wouldn't fill. My other complaint is the lack of Cable Channels offered. It was Memorial Day weekend and the pool wasn't running(which was really no biggie because we didn't have time.) T... Read more

My flight was supposed to arrive late night so I emailed to find out about shuttle timings and was pleasantly surprised to see a prompt response from the manager letting me know that he would instruct the driver to stay on call past midnight. We arrived on time and luckily found the shuttle as soon as we got out of the airport. Within a few minutes we were at the hotel lobby. Hotel was unimpressive. There was a general unpleasant odor, like the carpets throughout needed cleaning. It was too expensive, as expensive as Hilton or better quality hotel. Room was small. No fridge. Construction had dining area closed. Swimming pool wasn't open for use. No hot tubs. Overall disappointment. If it wasn't the Holiday weekend, we would have gone elsewhere.

When I got to the hotel, the lobby representative/hotel operator did not welcomed me as a HHonors member. I was asked my name to look for my reservation, it took a while to search for me because I did not have my confirmation number with me, I did not get good reception with my phone service therefore I was not able to provide that information. Spent one night at this hotel so we could get an early flight back home. The shuttle service was great as we returned a rental car the night before. They gave us a list of nearby places to eat with directions and we ate at the nearby Hilton and had an excellent dinner. The wake up call was on time and so was the shuttle service to the airport in the morning.

A difficult location behind trees and obscure streets. A lack of directional signs makes this location an almost no go. If its raining or snowing its an out right nightmare forcing me to go to local service station to ask for directions. Attendant chuckled as he repeated directions to visitors for the umpteenth time. The property is under renovation and needs to be so do not overpay for the inconvenience

This hotel should not be wearing the Hampton name. Stayed in many Hamptons and this one is not nice for the cost you pay. The carpets in hall, elevator and rooms are not clean. None of the rooms have microwaves or refrigerators. Not good if you are staying for longer than a day. The cleaning staff did the best they could with what they were working with. We just returned home late from a trip to Atlanta and my wife did not want to drive all the way home and then back for an early morning flight so her assistant got us a room at the Hampton Inn. This is an older property but in great shape. Hampton does such a great job of maintaining their properties that age really is not a factor. Very accommodating staff sincerely trying to make your stay a pleasurable one. Clean and quiet room. By AAA standards this would be a 3-4 star experience. We didn't get here until 1 am after a late night flight. The hotel is not far from the airport and easy to find. There isn't a lot of storage for clothes, but we were staying one night, so that was fine. The room was comfortable and quiet. We like breakfast at Hampton Inns. This one had an item that was new to us- bagel toppers. They were quite tasty. The clerk in the morning asked where we were off to and offered us cold water bottles for the road. Very nice!

So I made the mistake of selecting this hotel not realizing it was isolated even away from other airport hotels. I had Uber'd this trip so I was stuck at the hotel. Like most Hamptons it's pretty basic so it was kind of a long night. I ended up ordering pizza and going to bed early.

If you are deciding between this hotel and the Hilton across the street...CHOOSE Hampton! The complimentary breakfast, 24 hour coffee and hot cocoa, service, and fresh chocolate chip cookies upon check-in is superior to the Hilton. I have stayed at both and the Hilton charges you a crazy price for about the SAME breakfast as you get for free at Hampton. Additionally the atmosphere is cozy, happy, and professional.
