Breakfast was great! Nice variety & the omelet maker my 1st morning, Kevin B. was great. He was quick, efficient & had a nice personality! Also, I had an issue with the shower & the maintenance guy, Eric, was also quick, efficient and very helpful. Although he wasn't able to fix the issue right then, he offered some alternative options & the hotel manager took care of me. I would stay here again for both business & personal trips.

I recently stayed at an Embassy Suites in Dallas, TX and was really impressed with the facility - the same cannot be said about this hotel. My main disappointment was with the cleanliness of our room. First, the air vent in the room was filthy dirty - looked like it hadn't been replaced in about 6 months or more. Second, the ceiling above the shower had black spots on it - not sure if it was mold or what. Finally, the elevator system in the hotel was horrible. At one point we waited about te... Read more

My wife and I had a really good time at your hotel especially the bar. Craig was awesome and very friendly. We really like the free buffet style breakfast and free happy hour. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to do like The Plaza for shopping, West Port for laid back restaurants and bars, The Power and Light District for more entertainment, restaurants and bars.

Stayed here on a business trip. The parking garage situation is a bit on the sketchy side. Plus you can enter the hotel from the garage without using a key to access the guest floors. On my second day there the cleaning staff left my door open. Kind of scary. The breakfast was good and it is close to a nice neighborhood. I will pick one of the other hotels in this nice neighborhood on my next visit, though.

Friendly staff, great value! Breakfast was great, but on busy mornings they need more cooks. We arrived at the beginning of happy hour and they had chips/salsa, Giradeti (?) mix, and carrots/dip. Bartender is quick, but drinks are watered down. Rooms are clean but dated. 1 room, 2 people, 2 full size beds, + breakfast and happy hour, and being very close to museum and eating for about $140 a night = a great deal!

The staff at this hotel was fantastic. Lois and Laura went out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was very close to the plaza. Free shuttle rides to and from the hotel to the plaza were quick and certainly appreciated. The hotel is definitely in need of remodeling, but the staff was extremely attentive to any concerns.

I have stayed there for 3 weeks at a stretch . I liked this place due to its location , the accessibility with other parts and services they provide. The rooms are okay , the food quality is manageable and they provide complementary bar and lounge access from 5:30 Pm to 7:30 PM. They have gym and pool facility available. the gas station and car rental is just nearby . Even you can walk to nearby restaurants if you don't have a car.

Pretty decent Embassy Suites. Utilized for conference and overnight stay. Location was about 4 long blocks from The Plaza area which is a very nice upscale shopping/restaurant district. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms like most Embassy Suites are spacious suites. Bathroom had toilet and tub enclosed, however sink was in the master bedroom. Staff had a problem during breakfast of keeping glasses, silverware re-stocked and used trays removed.

Even though this is an older Embassy Suite it is well maintained. Staff is great and the from desk manager, Sam, was especially helpful -- think it was his 22 birthday too! If you expect it to be "on the Plaza" it is a long walk to the heart of the Plaza but not prohibitive for most and they offer a very good shuttle service. Is also a very nice park close by that us used by lot of joggers, walkers, etc. Too bad they do not have some outside benches or seating of some kind. Many travelers like... Read more

In general, good proximity to the Plaza and other KC locations, but still several blocks removed from the key attractions. Accommodations exceed service. The hotel is a bit outdated. The bed is very firm and the pillows are squares and very small and squishy. Had to use 3-4 pillows to just have a normal one. This property displayed its age. Air-con was loud. Room was musty smelling. Shower faucet showed rust stains. Drained slowly like it was clogged. Washbasin had a leaky faucet that made the counter wet.

Kansas City's Country Club Plaza is a great area and this hotel is ideally located, but it's Colonial Spanish style lacks warmth and coziness. The "lobby" space is right in the front door and is not inviting. Just a few chairs, a couch, and some tables on a couple of rugs. NOT inviting at all. The breakfast area is cold (tile floors and concrete walls) in a very dark atmosphere - think basement. The rooms are fine, but there was some confusion at check-in and issues with the central reservat... Read more

Staff very helpful but hotel needs to do refreshing of their suites. Breakfast was not as good as many other Embassy Suites I have visited around the country. I love Embassy Suites but was a bit disappointed in this one.

I was disappointed with my experience at the Embassy. The hotel staff, primarily the breakfast staff were rude and unhelpful. The room was mediocre. Our sink would not drain and there were stains on the carpet and couch. The hotel room just looked old. The linens were clean and the pool area was nice.

Clean, roomy rooms, felt safe in the hotel. Good food. The guys opperating the van service gave us great local knowledge and helped us to feel confident during our travels around the city. The Plaza was near the hotel and it was a lovely place to walk, enjoy great food and unique shopping. Beautiful buildings in the Plaza.

The room was terrible. We had a two bedroom family suite. In guest bedroom there was no closets for clothes. Only TV on stand. Living room had TV sitting on fireplace hearth about to fall over. the closet for guest room was in living room big enough two hang about four shirts and closet had no door. best of all there was only one bathroom located inside the master bedroom. Anytime someone needed to use the rest room, they had to be sure they didn't wake me There was no vanity or sink in the ba... Read more

Great spread for breakfast buffet, complimentary also. Ginger was our waitress and she was very personable and a delight. The room is decent size but the bathroom is very very small for the size of the bedroom. I would definitely have had some space from our bedroom taken for a bigger bathroom.

Ginger was great with the guests in the dining room and kept the area spotless. 10 out of 10 fantastic! Thanks. We always have a wonderful stay and the staff is accommodating. I just wish parking wasn't so expensive.

We have stayed with family in this hotel a couple of times this year. It is in a nice location for walking and very friendly staff. The rooms are suites with a living room, mini fridge & coffee pot, very large bedroom. The breakfast is awesome, almost anything you would want to eat. We were able to walk for lunch and to do a little shopping. Only issue the water in the shower is very hard to regulate. If you value a great shower this will disappoint.

Stayed here the middle of the week for work. Had the fried shrimp and a beer in the bar. Food is not bad at all. Price is reasonable. Rate for one of the smallest dated suites I have ever stayed in was extremely high. Mold and water stains on the shower ceiling. A toilet that you have to jiggle to flush. When I talked to the front desk they did nothing because they are full. All Hilton properties have a 100% satisfaction garuantee. I guess this one doesn't.

Wonderful staff, great rate. Easy walk to the plaza. Enjoyed Happy Hour. Great stay. The room was super comfortable. The fold out couch could have been more comfortable but the kids were fine. All was good we would highly recommend.

Customer service was very outstanding. Although my arrival was late, checking in was simple. But I would like to note the attention that was given to my family and I during our morning early exodus. Ginger made it a point to ensure that all of our needs were met although it was before breakfast was being served.

This is an excellent hotel for anything in the Plaza area. Also the managers reception and made to order breakfast are exceptional. They also offer a free shuttle to the Plaza which is very helpful when it's busy. We stay here whenever we're in KC.

Room was too small and not what I reserved. Front desk staff not helpful and unwilling to correct mistake. Breakfast foods were cold and poorly set up. Pool was nice, evening reception was nice and location had shuttle service to the plaza, it was close enough to walk to also.

My stay was because of a sick grandchild who had an appointment with a specialist at the Mercy children's hospital. We arrived a little early and our room was supposedly ready and received the keys. About 15 mins after arriving in the room, housekeeping was coming to clean, but went on. We left for a short while and returned after it was dark. Being tired from the 3 hr drive, we found that the Bed sheet food stains, Pillows makeup stain, Bath tub black stains from apparent rubber decals, Win... Read more

The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. However, they cannot do anything regarding the smell of stale smoke, mildew and 'old'. The complimentary breakfast was not desirable. We ended up eating at other breakfast locations because of the quality. Parking was a challenge. We were there over Thanksgiving weekend when it was sold out, at the garage/lot just couldn't accommodate all of the vehichles.

When I arrived I saw blood stain on sheet. I was extremely busy and it was very late so I did not deal with as I needed to get some sleep. I covered with towel. Very uncomfortable. Very disappointed. I have stayed at Embassy Suites in the past and am usually happy. This one, however, was not very good.
