Beautiful Casino, great restaraunts. We had such a great time. The casino is very large. Very easy to find. Staff was very helpful. Make sure you get a players card. You can get free rooms and meals when you gamble.

if you are sensitive to smells I do not recommend you stay here. I had called twice and no one warned us that there is some type of fragrance pumped through the entire facility. we had a large room that had two balconies so we were able to open the doors to get some out it out, couldn't use the furnace or air conditioning. then smelled smoke most of the night one night. found out later smoking rooms were on the 2nd and we were on the 5th. should have the smoking rooms on the top, not the bo... When we walked into our non-smoking room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. We tried calling the front desk to change rooms, but the phone rang and rang and was never answered. We finally sprayed cologne in the room to make it tolerable. The television picture kept flashing from dark to light. Tried calling the front desk again, and it rang and rang and was never answered. Finally gave up, went to sleep, and checked out early the next morning. Unless you valet your car, you have to park with t... Read more

The hotel was probably a really neat hotel at one time. It is clean but obviously needs updating. In a non smoking rooms that apparently was once a smoking room. Don't people have the ability to smell. They do give you bottled water and free WiFi. Staff is friendly and helpful.

When visiting the casino we have found it best to have a retreat to go to if luck runs cold. Go back later or the next day to enjoy your extended visit to casino. Rooms are always clean and comfortable beds. Room also has small fridge for drinks or cold snacks. Good places to eat also even a Burger King. Enjoy the trip with a place to relax.

Once again we were not let down on the stay, we always have a great time with no issues at all. Great room, very clean. I could sit here all day and write all the positives at this place, from the hotel to the casino to the employees. It was a great visit and will probably be the only casino we stay at from now on!! Keep up the great work!!

Waited an hr and a half and still no one picked up the phone from the front desk!! I really don't need much to be fulfilled at a hotel, but this has wasted so much of my time and happiness with this place. It's fine if you don't need anything additional, but the second you's a disaster.

Our trip was great! Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. My advice for anyone planning a trip to this hotel is to triple check and confirm your reservation with the HOTEL, even if you use a booking site. Smoking and non smoking rooms are not guaranteed so ask while you are checking in. Also if you need extra room items (towels, shampoo, etc..) ask a housekeeper not at the desk.

This hotel is nice and clean. But the rooms need updating. The bathroom with slow draining tub was very dated. Typically better hotels have showers with glass doors. Hallway a bit warm and a/c in room weak (had to put it at 63 for it to feel like 73). Convenient location but Overpriced.

I live only ten minutes away but still choose Ameristar for entertainment and the hotel. Yes, some of the rooms could use a touch-up, but it is hands down the nicest hotel and casino in KC. The casino is spacious and the hotel very close to the floor. The King Suite is the closest to a Vegas room in KC. However, the reason I return is the incredibly helpful and Diego staff. Every single one goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome; I feel like a friend, not a hotel guest. It is the cleanes... Read more

Ameristar was a great deal of fun. They had some good restaurants, the casino floor is nice and spread out, so you never felt too boxed in and overall the staff was good. The only thing that we didn't like was that beer service at the tables and slots was not always consistent, there were some places with almost no service at all. We also found that different bars charged different, upstairs I paid an extra dollar per drink. But, on the positive side, the hotel was clean, quiet and comfortab... Read more

We all had a great time. Very clean room and very comfortable bed, the pillows are the best lol Very nicely located. This hotel has everything. We did have an issue with the air condition--you really couldn't adjust it--it was either really cold or really hot--so that was a problem with warmer weather we had. Other than that it was nice overall!

Last night when I arrived at the Ameristar Hotel in Kansas City I was given a "smoking" room, when I had booked a "non-smoking " room. I was told the Hotel was full, and so they did not have any non-smoking rooms. The three young ladies behind the counter told me that it was vacation time and with Worlds of Fun .. Summer Vacations, etc. the hotel was booked full. All 184 rooms! For a non-smoker, this room was an assault on all my senses. My nose, and sinus felt like they were on fire. They... Read more

Loved the hotel room. It was clean and perfect size for me and my 11 and 13 year old. The service was excellent. My kids enjoyed the arcade and the movie theater while I enjoyed gaming in the casino. Definitely recommend.

If you're expecting a room like you would get at Ameristar St Charles or Blackhawk, forget it. No swimming pool, etc. and slow wifi. Front desk staff were okay. No one did anything wrong, it was just that the hotel wasn't what I expected. Unless the room was free, I wouldn't stay here again.

This is my second review of this hotel. I decided last minute that I needed to get away, so I called Ameristar on the morning of 8/13/16 to see if I could get a smoking room. I had already checked online and every website, including Ameristar's, showed all rooms sold. So I called them on the phone and I was checking in that very night. This time the room had one king sized bed, VERY COMFORTABLE. I appreciate the five, very large pillows on the bed. Debbie at the front desk is awesome, she ... Read more

Stayed here on a week night while attending a concert at a different venue. It's a big place and the valet was great but the hotel wasn't. To start I had booked a suite (2 beds) almost a YEAR ago and they didn't have one for me! The desk clerk said there was one but it was "blocked out" (whatever that means). She was nice and offered me a bigger suite but with one bed (I didn't want to share a bed) so she gave me a regular room with 2 beds and dining credit which was nice but everything was cl... Such a clean hotel! The soaps are unique and nice. Big tv in the room. Definitely will be back. The resort is pretty cool with the theater, arcade, casino, and several restaurant choices. The painted sky and themed buildings are a nice touch, only complaint is the extremely odd restaurant hours not super convenient!

Arrived at this hotel very late at night , after a horribly long day . The receptionist was sweet and gracious and it was a very warm welcome . Valet was included which I thought was a very nice touch . Walking into our room, I was very pleasantly surprised as the front desk had upgraded us to a suite ! This room was amazing !! I stayed at the Ameristar from 9/29/16-10/2/16 with my mom's friend, we were in a group through Casino Sales. We had an amazing time! The casino and surrounding floor was beautiful! Very relaxing atmosphere. Kara Price and Deb Long who over saw our group were outstanding! The room which was 2 queen beds was nice and comfortable, only minor complaint was dust along baseboards and on nightstand and that's why I gave 4 stars, also liked that our room was right outside the elevators, Falcon diner wh... This casino has it all. It offers a variety of table games, lots of slot machines at various price points, food, sports bar, brewery, hotel -- all at one location. I especially like the fact they have TV's scattered throughout the casino so you can catch the score on the game while playing your favorite game of chance. I did not stay at their hotel, so cannot comment on its merits. I did stay at an Ameristar Casino in St. Charles, Missouri, though, and that place was great. I would think this... Read more

Just left Ameristar after staying in the hotel for one night with my family. For the cost of a one night stay being $364, I expected great service and what we got was far from it. Paid $179 for a room worth roughly $80. Old finishings, uncomfortable bed. View was a wall. Should've been a river view for the cost. Did appreciate the dark wood. Wish other things were updated, like bedding.
