Positives: Friendly staff, great free breakfast with made-to-order omelet bar, large size room, quiet. Neutrals: In spite of supposed remodel of bathroom, missing some things that would have made it more comfortable, such as larger counter space, more hooks. Wallpaper coming off. Negative: When I made this reservation, I was reassured repeatedly that there would be a free shuttle service to the Sprint Center every morning and evening for the week of the Championships, and I told the people I spo... Great location, friendly staff, very affordable! We look forward to staying again after the remodel is complete. Give em' a break during re-model...they are doing their best. Even though some things are still under construction, we had a nice time. It will be great when fully remodeled! The beds were VERY COMFORTABLE which is surprising for any hotel! Don't miss the pancakes at the free breakfast shuttle service was also a big plus.

Floors in room and hallways not clean. Bathtub dirty and needs updated. Fixtures not working. Omelette lady is wonderful. Location is good. Elevator is not kept clean and floor needs replaced. Very expensive for the quality of maintenance needed.

In town for wedding. Booked through Figured for $179/night place would be great. Underwhelmed. Lobby was nice, staff got me right to room. Room had patchy paint, holes in carpet, drywall dust and mildew in shower. Stay somewhere else for the $$.

This was a nice little place. Staff was very nice. Lobby was nice. Our room was very clean, but average. I can't give it too high of a score with the renovations going on. Bathroom was clean and the shower good with good water pressure and hot. The extras were very good. Complimentary happy hour was great. The breakfast was good. And the shuttle was great. We shuttled to Union Station with no trouble. A huge bonus- they share the parking lot with the Westport Flea Market. That is the best burge... Read more

This hotel has great front desk staff. We stayed for 3 nights for a weekend getaway for my husband's birthday, and were upgraded at no extra cost, just because of his birthday. The room was themed based on the Kansas City Star newspaper, and had old pictures and newspaper clippings as wall paper. Even the nightstands were actual newspaper dispensers you would see on the street! Breakfast was the traditional continental but with a waffle maker and made-to-order omelette bar. Very good accommodati... Read more

We stayed here 1 night while on our way home from a road trip. Booked on the fly via my phone on our way into the city. Wanted a location close to a more hipster vibe. This place is in a great spot, super funky interior (LOVE the hallway photo murals), and affordable. The breakfast was actually decent, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was really friendly. It's an older hotel, but moderately updated (at time of visit). When we come back to KC- we will definitely be staying here aga... Read more

They were in the process of renovating rooms - we stayed September 2016 and attended concert at Crossroads. The hotel is different than "normal hotels". They have themed rooms. We stayed in a reg room with king bed and couch. Good sized room, small bathroom with very little counter space, bad lighting, great water pressure in shower/tub combo. The renovated rooms look to have great bathrooms. Would love to come back and check them out. We were to hung over to enjoy breakfast. We grabbed some f... Read more

Room and service were great. Very cool rustic bar stools and table in room. Old school Kelly's signage was nice too. The history in the halls and lobby are fun to look at and learn a bit of KC history.
