I stayed here this past weekend at the last minute. It was a busy weekend in the town due to graduations so just having a hotel by campus was plenty to ask for. Good hotel but nothing too special about it. It is a place to lay your head at night, take a hot shower and eat a hot meal.

I really like this hotel, the location, the attached Stadium Grill sports bar, the work out room and pool/spa. The rooms are clean and the location is across the street and within walking distance of the University of Missouri. Everything is updated in the rooms, the staff is exceptionally helpful and attentive and a decent complimentary breakfast. There is also complimentary wifi, just don't expect breakneck speeds if you need to stream something. Views from the room not so much, considerin... Read more

The hotel was Clean, the staff was friendly and it was overall very comfortable. It was quiet and the rooms were spacious. The beds were awesome and provided for a good nights sleep. The breakfast offered had great food items to choose from and there was plenty of it available so there was no waiting. Check in and check out was efficient and there were no lines.

The hotel is located next to U of Missouri campus. It is fairly new, extremely clean and service was excellent. The room was very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and was quiet, and bathroom was spotless. Complimentary breakfast was a little disapointing. Orange juice dispenser only poured water. Hard boiled egg container was empty and "frozen omelets" were almost out. We did not see any of this replenished even though we arrived before a lot of the crowd,

So much for the Hampton guarantee. I arrived pretty late, checked into my room, on the fourth floor, and found that it was so loud from all of the equipment all around the room that it was impossible to sleep. Half an hour later, after unsuccessfully seeing if they had a different room that was quieter, I left and went to the Wyndham. I was charged $149 for trying to figure out how to make their stupid noisy room quiet. The staff is thoroughly unprofessional in this property is so loud it's ... Read more

I was traveling without my husband to visit my daughter. She spent the nights with me, sleepover style. She is autistic, and does not like to be touched. A rollaway bed was not allowed due to fire code, but the staff brought us extra bedding and pillows to make a "barricade" so she wouldn't be bumped in the night. The staff was SO kind and helpful.

Is this hotel clean, yes. Service was fine. The problem is the air conditioning units. I was there this past weekend, June 17 and June 18. Yes it was very warm outside, but, the units are motion activated, so you are walking into a very hot room, we had to be somewhere in 90 mins, should be plenty of time to get ready. I turned the temp down to the lowest number which was 60, it was reading 84 in the room. it would kick on get down to 78 then kick off and not kick on again until it went back up ... Read more

Let me start with the good--this hotel is relatively new, very close to the MU campus (why we were there), has a great lobby setup/breakfast area, wonderful staff and even has a decent place to eat right next door. Honestly, this is a great Hampton Inn for all of those reasons. However, once you go to bed, things go downhill fast. Two issues, both easily corrected. First, the mattresses need to go--when you lay down things collapse towards the middle and basically roll you to the center of th... Read more

The best part of this hotel is staff - the majority were friendly, hard-working, and helpful. There were a couple who were full of joy and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was standard Hampton. Two staff people in the breakfast area would have been very helpful. The lone breakfast staff person worked as hard as possible but there was more work that one person could do. The location is excellent in relation to the University and downtown.

We've stayed at many Hamptons for their great beds and consistent quality, but I think this hotel was one of our best experiences. Our king studio room was huge and spotless, well laid out with the bed on the opposite side of the room from noisy things (door, AC, fridge). Everything in the room was in excellent shape. The walls seem very well designed, we heard absolutely no noise from adjacent occupied rooms. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when ... Read more

My mom and I stayed here as recommended by the University of Missouri Medical Center. During our stay our room's HVAC was either too hot or too cold. The Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia at the University of Missouri is one of the best Hampton Inn properties I've stayed in and the one I use for pleasure (Mizzou football). This is a perfectly acceptable hotel in a great location next to the Stadium Grill. My only complaint are the thin walls. The ceiling of our room creaked loudly whenever the guest upstairs walked around his room. Sometimes it woke us up at night. And the walls are thin too -- we could hear loud conversations going on on one side of us and the kids playing in the pool next door.
