I've stayed at this location several times for multiple nights each time. Have had an excellent experience each time. The staff is courteous and responsive. The entry and lobby area are clean and contemporary and even have new furniture with outlets conveniently located in the units so you can work and relax. Plus, the hotel is within a short walking distance from Starbucks, Chipotle and a range of local restaurants and shops that make it feel less corporate.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn as we were attending a family funeral over Memorial weekend. The room prices were good but the attention provided for our stay was outstanding. Jacob, the GM, provided 3 Pack and Plays as we had young children who needed crib type beds. The staff signed a Sympathy card which was in our room upon arrival. The front desk personnel and all of the other hotel employees we met during our stay were great. Our room accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Jacob and ... Read more

This well-appointed hotel is steps away from a host of restaurants and businesses in downtown Clayton. This is a newer hotel and was very nicely furnished. Staff was friendly and responsive. They offered a complimentary full breakfast in a large lobby. The parking situation is not great ($19 valet or on-street parking). While we had no problems finding free spaces on the street over our weekend stay, finding parking other than the valet could be a problem during the week.

We had a quick visit to make to Washington University and tried out this (new to us) option in downtown Clayton. It more than ticked all boxes with its location, amenities, room options and complimentary breakfast.

Very nice room & accommodations. Valet parking only. Show up with everything you'll need ready to go in with you, cause there is no self parking for all intents & purposes. Front Desk has some info about overnight parking, but it didn't sound reliable enough to risk a ticket/tow.

I just spent a long weekend in St Louis. I lived there at one time and as I have mentioned in previous reviews, I'm really picky about where I stay when I go back for visits. Most of my friends are in Ladue, Clayton and Central West End, so I like to stay in Clayton if possible, due to its central location. The larger hotels in downtown Clayton are in super convenient locations, but they are large and a bit tired (even the Ritz). It was a pleasant surprise to see a new hotel in the desired area ... Very convenient location, friendly staff, newer hotel so great amenities - love the linear shower drain. I agree with others' comments regarding parking but we were fortunate with on street on a weekend. The pool is interior.

Rooms are large and clean. Staff is friendly and ask about stay/service. Have stayed in Brentwood before but would choose this hotel over that area instead. Restaurants are walkable from hotel and spacious exercise room but opted to run outside due to walkable neighborhood area.

Ashley is a top notch manager! She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and she was an INCREDIBLE help when I called, before our arrival, with questions regarding our reservations. Once we arrived, her expertise and kindness continued! We were exhausted from a 15 hour day and she was just the "CHEER" that we needed! THANK YOU again Ashley for all that you do! This hotel is in EXCELLENT condition and SUPER CLEAN!!! we are looking forward to our 2nd stay in just three days!

This hotel has been recently renovated with lovely rooms and excellent service. We stayed there one night to be close to our dentist next door. The bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was excellent and hearty. The indoor pool is quite small and probably fun for kids but not for any lap swimming. However, the work out area has a number of excellent machines in a pleasant location. Prices are in the $150 range plus taxes that will build the final total to a bout $175. However, th... Read more

I had heard good reports of this "new" hotel and so stayed here recently. I learned after arrival that the building was not new, just refurbished. It does look very nice. The breakfast was good (and free) and it had a nice bar with outdoor seating. But the rooms had problems: 1. AC unit right next to bed and VERY loud. 2. valet parking is required, and the attendant was inept (once he brought out the wrong car). 3. There had been a waterline break recently and our room had a shower that was just... Read more

Nice hotel and better than I expected. The area is even nice. Breakfast selection was pretty good. I loved the adjacent bar also. Rooms were clean and appeared to be fairly updated. The only negative is the cost to park which may be normal for this area, but I haven't researched it.

It is hard to imagine being more comfortable unless we stayed in a Four Seasons. This lovely hotel is simple, attractive and comfortable. A friend recommended we stay in Clayton on our visit to Saint Louis for the Fourth. I really debated between Clayton and downtown with a view. Loved this scenic area of town and easy proximity to everything via car or Metro. Visited the West Central End by car one evening and the next day the hotel shuttle took us a short hop to Metro station for a day at t... Read more

Very friendly staff that goes out of your way to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast and amenities are what you would expect out of a Hampton Inn. You may consider ditching the car as parking at the hotel is expensive, but they have a shuttle that will take you to most of the area attractions and the metro station is walking distance from the hotel.

My family (3 of us) traveled to the area to visit friends. They lived right in this neighborhood so it was a perfect location for us. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, and a nice perk of the hotel was a spacious lobby/breakfast area that we were able to use to hang out with our friends. The location is within walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, as well as a few parks. The valet parking was a bit steep at $20 a night, but the on street parking is free on weekends so we took ... Read more

Like all Hampton Inns, this is a great place to stay. It was clean, the staff are friendly, it has a very nice pool and workout facility. It is a short 1/4 mile walk to several nice restaurants, and only 5-10 minutes to Washington University. Parking is expensive, if you are used to staying at the Hampton Inns where you can park for free.

We weren't too sure about staying so far west of downtown when we were really in town to see the Arch and to catch a Cardinals baseball game, but wow...we'd never think of doing it differently now that we've stayed in Clayton. I chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. I would consider this an average hotel. Room was clean but fairly small. Not enough lighting in room for my taste but bathroom was well lit. There was only one small window in the room overlooking a dirty rooftop. Having free breakfast and a refrigerator in the room were nice features. Bathroom was a decent size but had no fan and no air conditioning fed into the bathroom so it was sometimes rather warm. The Hampton Inn was definitely a better cho... Read more

Great hotel with friendly staff. The free shuttle to the train station was a nice bonus for going into the city for a Cardinals game. Valet even reminded us that street parking was free on the weekends. I did feel the price of valet was a little steep especially since they have a parking garage.

This is a very nice hotel in a very quiet area. I found the staff to be very friendly. The main problem I had was when I pulled up to the hotel there was not space for me to park and go in for check-in. I tried to get the attention of the valet with no luck. I circled around and was able to find a parking spot on the street at a meter. It was about 10pm and the front desk informed me that parking on the street was free until 8am which was fine for me. If you enjoy a neighborhood setting with great restaurants and shopping this is for you. The hotel even has a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. The majority of our group elected to stay at the HI in Clayton, however, I personally would have preferred to stay downtown. Enjoyed the stay here with friends, convenient to the restaurants we went to, nice lobby & hot breakfast, complimentary internet, clean & free shuttle to close restaurants. My only complaint is the price, too expensive I thought, and I don't think it's right for hotels to charge so much more on weekend nights than they do on week days. Most people travel on weekends, so it's just a way of taking advantage of people who do. I would love to go back to the area, but don't know that I stay here a... Read more
