I've stayed at this location several times for multiple nights each time. Have had an excellent experience each time. The staff is courteous and responsive. The entry and lobby area are clean and contemporary and even have new furniture with outlets conveniently located in the units so you can work and relax. Plus, the hotel is within a short walking distance from Starbucks, Chipotle and a range of local restaurants and shops that make it feel less corporate.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn as we were attending a family funeral over Memorial weekend. The room prices were good but the attention provided for our stay was outstanding. Jacob, the GM, provided 3 Pack and Plays as we had young children who needed crib type beds. The staff signed a Sympathy card which was in our room upon arrival. The front desk personnel and all of the other hotel employees we met during our stay were great. Our room accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Jacob and ... Read more

This well-appointed hotel is steps away from a host of restaurants and businesses in downtown Clayton. This is a newer hotel and was very nicely furnished. Staff was friendly and responsive. They offered a complimentary full breakfast in a large lobby. The parking situation is not great ($19 valet or on-street parking). While we had no problems finding free spaces on the street over our weekend stay, finding parking other than the valet could be a problem during the week.

Very nice room & accommodations. Valet parking only. Show up with everything you'll need ready to go in with you, cause there is no self parking for all intents & purposes. Front Desk has some info about overnight parking, but it didn't sound reliable enough to risk a ticket/tow.

I just spent a long weekend in St Louis. I lived there at one time and as I have mentioned in previous reviews, I'm really picky about where I stay when I go back for visits. Most of my friends are in Ladue, Clayton and Central West End, so I like to stay in Clayton if possible, due to its central location. The larger hotels in downtown Clayton are in super convenient locations, but they are large and a bit tired (even the Ritz). It was a pleasant surprise to see a new hotel in the desired area ... Ashley is a top notch manager! She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and she was an INCREDIBLE help when I called, before our arrival, with questions regarding our reservations. Once we arrived, her expertise and kindness continued! We were exhausted from a 15 hour day and she was just the "CHEER" that we needed! THANK YOU again Ashley for all that you do! This hotel is in EXCELLENT condition and SUPER CLEAN!!! we are looking forward to our 2nd stay in just three days!

This hotel has been recently renovated with lovely rooms and excellent service. We stayed there one night to be close to our dentist next door. The bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was excellent and hearty. The indoor pool is quite small and probably fun for kids but not for any lap swimming. However, the work out area has a number of excellent machines in a pleasant location. Prices are in the $150 range plus taxes that will build the final total to a bout $175. However, th... Read more

I had heard good reports of this "new" hotel and so stayed here recently. I learned after arrival that the building was not new, just refurbished. It does look very nice. The breakfast was good (and free) and it had a nice bar with outdoor seating. But the rooms had problems: 1. AC unit right next to bed and VERY loud. 2. valet parking is required, and the attendant was inept (once he brought out the wrong car). 3. The property is very nice...reasonably new, and in a good location relative to Clayton and Wash U. But guests are required to use a valet ($19 daily!) to park in a lot right behind the hotel. If you want to avoid this charge, you have to park on the street; this is a big challenge during the week, somewhat more manageable on the weekends. But you may have to park some distance from the front door. Factor that in to the value proposition.

I have stayed at this Hampton several times before, and I have always been satisfied. I wasn't this time. The fan unit next to my bed sounded louder than an airplane. The hotel was super-busy, with staff bustling around on the room floors, rushing to and fro past guests. It just didn't have the lovely feel of Hampton that I have come to know and love. And for the price paid -- which I'm sure is fair given demand in the area -- I was frustrated. I am going to try the Cheshire Inn next time.

Top notch business hotel in Clayton's business district. Easy walking distance to several restaurants. Professional staff at every level. If you are use to staying at the mid-range hotels with the major chains such as Hampton Inn with Hilton then you will find the Clayton location to be a superior run hotel.

My only real issues were that the room was very small and I would have liked a mini safe in the room. Also, I'm not a big fan of going out of the room for breakfast but that's not a whole lot of negatives.

This hotel was in Clayton, and it was conveniently located near several restaurants. The staff were very nice and accomodations one of the best for Hampton suites. Used late check in and had no problem. They only offer valet parking which worked out fine.

The staff was very helpful and kind. An they had a good spread for the breakfast. The internet was awesome. Didn't even have to leave the room until it was time for the concert and site seeing. Best vacation in awhile.

Very comfortable, very clean, located within walking distance to business area. Several restaurants are close-by. The entrance and breakfast are spacious, plenty of area to spread out. The rooms are larger than I expected and very comfortable. Recommend this place for business travelers.

This is just a place to stay. Nothing special, lumpy pillow, not too clean room. Above average free breakfast and really good team of employees. I had trouble with a really slippery tub and no mat but the hotel did correct that. I could use a little room service maybe for water or if you need something. It was just OK.

Hampton Inn is so comfortable, in the City yet the hotel is in a quiet part of Clayton. I have stayed many times but this past visit a couple of new experiences. Jessica works so hard and always with a smile to keep the breakfast setting running perfectly. Ashley is awesome at the front desk and Andrea handles everything needed. This place is run right, customer service is as good or better than the Ritz at half the price. Rooms are large and comfortable and this past visit we discovered th... Read more

This was a nice hotel. The facility was very clean. Management handled every request from bottled water to locating a massage therapist in town. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, they changed the proteins everyday which was great.

we chose to stay her because of the comfort of Hampton Inns and its convenience to Wash U. for a college tour. They provided a complimentary shuttle and free breakfast. Both were enjoyed and appreciated. Staff was friendly and helpful and efficient.

Everything was nice about this hotel except the lighting in the room. The lamps looked nice but the lighting was so poor it was not possible to read while in bed. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

Modern hotel but it lacks much. Rooms are clean, but small. Awful lighting, impossible for reading. Window is small causing room to be dark. Wall HVAC- blower is loud and temperature is inconsistent. Tub shower. No make up mirror. One chair, next to TV- must be in beds to watch tv. Annoying that hotel only offers $19 valet plus tip. No self parking. Street parking is difficult because of short timed meters. Breakfast and area is nice, typical of Hampton Inn.

Great location in Clayton, within walking distance to restaurants and short drive to Forest Park, Delmar Loop, and not too far from downtown. Property appears to be very new. All employees were super nice. Rooms were super clean; they were small, but the bathrooms were spacious. The gym was awesome - not your usual two-treadmill space; this has several treadmills, ellipticals, etc., and a separate area for weights and machines. Valet was very efficient. Area was very safe. Breakfast was s... Read more

Overall the area is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The value is nice for the area. There is valet parking but usually there is enough street parking close to the hotel. My only complaint is the pillows are on the cheap end of pillows. I have stayed at lower budget places that had better pillows. Also the bathroom lighting is dim. Despite these few things we stay here almost every time we visit the St. Louis area.
