We had family meet at the Drury Inn & Suites in Independence, Mo. from 3 different states and had a wonderful time. We took the kids swimming and really enjoyed the 2 awesome meals a day plus happy hour! We've continued to meet there because the rooms are clean, the meals and drinks are free and it's a relaxing place to stay. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and downtown Kansas City if you want to venture out and about.

Great hotel, rooms were neat, clean, staff was very attentive, helped us navigate best eating locations in the area. Quiet, great place. This is the 2nd Drury I've stayed at and will look for Drury locations when I travel in the future.

Booked this hotel earlier this month due to good reviews from Tripadvisor contributors. Nice and clean room; complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner pumps in the shower so you don't have to ration the little bottles. Very friendly staff, whether at night or in the day. And the ladies in the breakfast area will help start your day with a ray of sunshine with their cheerful attitudes. ??? The buffet had a lot of variety- eggs, home fries, meat, biscuits, the waffle station, ... Read more

My sisters and I stayed here since it was close to Kaufman Stadium to attend a KC Royals game. It was a relatively short drive to the stadium. Rooms were spacious and breakfast had many options. The evening beverages and snacks were a great benefit. Many options here not just beer and wine. the front desk staff was very cordial and helpful in recommending a restaurant. Only disappointing thing was the pool and hot tub were only available from 9am to 10pm, For a trip that is for social purposes t... Read more

I don't have a negative to list! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I'd like to give a special shout-out to Louise who works the breakfast area. She went around to every table to ask how the diners were doing and took dishes, brought food, and was working extremely hard to make sure everyone was happy. The room was comfortable and so were the mattresses. Great location and worth spending a little extra to stay here versus a few miles south.

I want to say this is a very nice hotel with outstanding staff service! They are hands down a 5 star hotel because of the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. So during my stay I enjoyed clean rooms and free great breakfast and a few good drinks. But, I am a smoker yes I know we are the hated people now. My only complaint is that the non-smoking hotel is the only hotel I have ever stayed at that did not have at very least a bench outside for their smoking customers. No place to dispose of the ciga... We stayed here after a Royals game and it was great! First we took advantage of the free evening food to fill up so we didn't spend a fortune at the game. The soup was great! Then after the game it only took us 5-10 minutes to get back to the hotel, it was super fast! Breakfast was great and filling. We will be back

We had a wonderful stay at the Drury Inn and Suites in Independence MO. The rooms we immaculate - there was a smile on everyone's face with a "can we help you with anything". The free breakfast and snacks/dinner in the evening was much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was immaculate as well. It was just a great experience

Can't say enough positive things about this hotel! It was clean, seemed fairly new, bathrooms were great size, staff was great! Everyone was so nice from check-in to breakfast to check-out! But what puts them over the top is when we got home realized we left something behind in the room. Two days later UPS pulls in our driveway with our lost item! So appreciative and will try to stay here every time we are in KC!

My family love's Drury Inns. We have always had excellent experiences and this location was on the top of our lists. The room was clean, even though the hotel was booked solid it didn't feel crowded because of the open floor plan and large sitting areas in the breakfast area and even poolside. My kids love the indoor/outdoor pool. Both the pool and the hot tub are at comfortable temps. The staff are exceptional... especially the lovely charasmatic lady (Louise) that prepares a delicious break... Read more

CLEAN! FRIENDLY! COMFORTABLE! Just spent 3 nights there and we will definitely be return customers. Great breakfast and hot snacks at night!!! Clean comfortable beds. We always take our own sheets with us and this time we never took them out of the luggage. Some of the friendliest staff I've ever met. Thanks Drury.

We stayed here for 4 nights June 2016. Our room was 716. It was probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It is also probably the quietest room I have ever stayed in. That being said, the bed was very uncomfortable. I did not sleep well any of the nights we were there. My only other complaint is I wish they would change the breakfast even just a little bit each morning. The same thing every day got old. We enjoyed the free popcorn and soda. We did not take advantage of the kick bac... Read more

This hotel was easily accessible from the highway and close to the Presidential Library. We arrived too late to enjoy the snacks and included beverages. The room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, etc. We would definitely recommend!

Now I will say that I typically stay with Drury Hotels, but this is one of my faves. No matter who the employee is they always greet you with a smile. Drury's offer a full hot breakfast and a "happy hour" with free drinks and food. I love their indoor/outdoor pool and this specific location is only around five years old. There are plenty of restaurants near by and even a shopping area about 1/2 mile down the road. They have a lot of things going for them but customer service is what they do... Read more

We got a last minute room passing through at 2:00 am with 4 kids. The front desk clerk could not have been more pleasant and helpful! A suite came open and she offered us that so we could have a sofa bed. The room was nice and large, and breakfast was perfect! The breakfast staff was also friendly! Pool and exercise room were nice as well!

There is a separate area for the bathroom with a counter to place things and then the bathroom and then the door closes for the actual bedroom! It was so nice!! I LOVE the Drury Inns! They have customer service down! Offering free drinks and popcorn and excellent customer service! The Druries need to build more hotels everywhere!

Fabulous hotel, great staff, who could ask for more! Everyone was so friendly and the hotel was very clean. We stayed in a king suite and it was wonderful. Even though the hotel is near the airport, we never heard any planes. Drury is our favorite hotel. We've never had a bad experience at any locations we have stayed at. We have stayed at this location several times now. As always, the staff at this hotel is outstanding. Kindred at the front desk and the lady in the breakfast area were both very helpful and had excellent manners. The food was really good as well. The bed was comfortable and nice room amenities with a fridge and microwave, but the carpet and furniture were starting to show some wear. All areas of the hotel were very clean.

I am a frequent patron of the Drury Inn in Independence MO. I consistently find the hotel staff to be gregarious and courteous. The free breakfast they serve is better than most hotels I have visited. The free cocktails and food buffet in the evening is an unexpected plus. The rooms are clean. I appreciate that the heat and air conditioning is controlled by a thermostat and is not a noisy wall unit, This particular location is less than a mile from many choices for meals. My wife and I recently stayed at this Drury property and we agreed that it was exceptional in all ways. It was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The hot food and cold beverages in the evening were very good. The morning breakfast was great. Both evening and morning food offerings were well staffed, stocked and clean. The hotel is conveniently located on I-70 and easy to find. We have paid much more at other hotels for so much less. We felt this stay was a great value.

Room and facilities were super clean, bed was very comfortable, showerhead was great, breakfast was tasty with lots of variety, coffee was surprisingly good. I felt catered to and pampered during my stay at the Drury Inn. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good. We stopped here on the last stay of a two week tour and were just too tired to drive the extra 150 miles to home. It was a great decision. We arrived just in time for the evening food and drinks. Slept too late for the free breakfast, and check in and out were smooth. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

We also took advantage of this service as well. The hotel is very clean and the service was helpful to us to find a local bar with live music.
