The property is right across from the Military Park and close to the Outlet Malls. The lobby is beautiful and the free breakfast was good. The room was clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable. I had no problems at all. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean, well managed and beautiful inside. I would definitely stay here again. This Hampton is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. I liked the fact that you could leave the fan on all the time even when the air conditioning would cycle off and you could adjust the temperature as cold as you wanted it. The bathrooms were very nice and clean as well as the rooms. The beds were comfortable. I liked the refrigerator and the microwave in the room. This is great when you have small childre... Read more

This Hampton is excellent in every respect, and we would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, as it is directly across the street from the Civil War Battlefield National Park. The staff here are very helpful, with tips on dining and where to visit in historic downtown Vicksburg. The room in which we stayed was large and comfortable, and the evening manager's reception was an added plus. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this place! This is probably one of the best Hampton Inns we've stayed at. This Hampton Inn was an unexpected stop due to a diversion in our travel plans. When we arrived, we were surprised with a happy hour and appetizers (a welcomed relief after skipping lunch)! The rooms were clean and comfortable along with the pool area and workout room. One of the best features of this hotel is the patio area and historic art prints. These features make this hotel not feel like a "copy cat" Hampton Inn.

Location location location. This is the best spot to visit the battlefield and get on the highway. The rooms are clean and fresh. Breakfast is good. The staff are very friendly. This is a cut above the usual Hampton inn It's right across from the battlefield and a short drive to town Free parking and good wifi

We stayed at this hotel during a family road trip. The stay was nice. Their breakfast was really good. They also have hot chocolate next to the coffee. Plenty of food to choose from. The cannons out front were a fun detail. The only thing we didn't like about the room was the dial for the water temperature. It was too "loose" and the water temperature changed on its own during the shower.

Between New Orleans and Memphis we had a stop at interesting Vicksburg. Based on the reviews, we chose for the first time for a Hampton Inn, part of Hilton. Location is conveniently opposite the National Military Park and 10 minute drive away from the historic center. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Since a trip to Vicksburg Battlefield a few years ago I've wanted to stay at this hotel as it appeared to be an usually upscale Hampton Inn. It is a nice hotel with a large common area and a beautiful veranda on the back. The managers reception on week nights is an uncommon nicety this hotel offers however don't expect it to substitute for dinner or you will be disappointed, as chips, party mix and crackers and cheese is what you get. Beer choices were okay, not great but hey, its free. Our r... Read more

I know it's a chain but my better half gave this a 5 start rating. The staff are so friendly and helpful, there is complimentary tea, coffee etc. available 24 /7 and the breakfast is very good. Large, immaculately clean rooms and if you want a particularly quiet room ask for one at the back overlooking the car park. A few minutes drive from downtown Vicksburg and directly over the road from the civil war museum.

This location is very convenient to area restaurants and interstate travelers. They also offer an evening reception, which includes wine, beer, soft drinks, snacks and hot cookies. The rooms are always very clean and quiet. If you have time for breakfast there are good choices but there is also a quick bag you can pick up on your way out, if you are in a hurry. I have stayed several times and it will always be my first choice I. Vicksburg.

My wife and I recently indulged in one of our favorite activities, a 'spur of the moment' trip. This time it was Vicksburg, a town my wife had never before visited. Call it blind luck or call it Karma; whatever you call it, we had it in Spades, for our choice of this hotel. It is close to everything worth seeing and just the other end of Clay St. from historic downtown. As for the hotel itself, it is one of the best Hamptons in which we have stayed. Everything was top-drawer. In fact, my w... Read more

Three stars because carpets were dirty in room with spots. Corridor carpets also dirty. Mold in shower stall corners. Otherwise a great Hampton. Should have asked for another room but were tired after long drive.

Nice accomodations that captured the stately South ambiance in many respects. Nightly free happy hour with snacks and a nice patio with a fountain to enjoy a drink. Take a walk in the National Military Park across the street in the morning and even take the normal driving tour of the park.

We dont expect much from Hamptons except a clean comfortable room but this Hampton was by far the nicest ever! Lovely local antebellum decor including oil paintings of local sites and even cannons to greet you! Great price and service also! Will be back!

Being very exhausted and trying to find a hotel a past 8 o'clock in the dark traveling by herself is a little intimidating. Using my phone and found this hotel which was very beautiful, very clean, and very welcoming to a traveler. I felt the staff wanted me there. I had no issues with the room nor the Internet. The breakfast in the morning fillinga with typical hotel serve yourself foods, very clean.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. It's our favorite place to stay. The carpets in the room need changing clearly they are stained and had a weird smell. But the staff is fantastic and the food is really good. Pleasant stay always.

This is probably the nicest Hampton Inn we have stayed at out of 6 or 7. Very well decorated with Civil War history, Cannons on the front lawn. Just across the street from the Civil War Military Park. Very clean rooms, and great breakfast buffet. The staff were very accommodating. And we enjoyed the happy hour and the lovely patio with fountain in the back portico.

This hotel was very nice as an overnight stop over on our way South. We were surprised, however, to find that the price quoted on the national 800 number was higher than the price quoted when we called the hotel phone number directly. We gave our Hilton Honors number both times. The hotel did honor their lower price. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was fine to get us on the road again early the next morning.

The hotel is located right across the street from the Vicksburg Battleground National Park--an amazing place to learn about the Battle of Vicksburg. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful; the breakfast was excellent. Would also recommend Rusty's Waterfront Grill for dinner.

Staff were friendly and worked efficiently during check in and check out, no hold up or delays. Rooms were fairly modern and clean. The breakfast was a typical hotel quick breakfast with adequate quantities. The only knock I had was with the in room coffee. They and many other hotels need to look at the brand of coffee they provide in the rooms. They're not very good.
