Very nice motel, great service, good personnel, good amenities. However, it is at the end of a long, lonely road that parallels, quite closely, a busy interstate so there is a LOT of highway noise. In spite of having one of the most comfortable beds I have experienced in a hotel/motel ever, the highway noise really played havoc with a good night's sleep.

This was my first stay at this property and I had such a good experience there! Check in was quick and easy and my room was perfect. Everything was clean and well maintained. The night I stayed they provided fantastic chili for their guests. It's a quiet and secure location. The hot breakfast was tasty and had a variety of items. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great breakfast, but not a great location. We had a second floor room and could hear people walking around in the room above us. Our room faced the interstate, and the road noise was definitely disturbing. The room seemed clean enough, but if you stay there, request a room on the top (third) floor on the back side of the hotel.

This hotel was best service and stay ever. Cheryl the manager found my wife's earings and put them in a safe location so we could pick them up on our return trip. Heath the desk assistant referred us to a local grill and it was best meal in long time while traveling. The whole hotel and staff was superb. Clean comfortable and well priced. We will always go there when ever possible.

This is my second Wingate by Wyndam that I've stayed in and the quality and customer service is excellent!! It's very convenient being right off the road. I actually didn't realize it was here until I saw the sign and immediately pulled over. Plenty of parking, clean rooms, and the clerk at the desk (I can't remember his name) was super nice!! The prices are excellent compared to the quality you get. Also, I like how it sits off by itself away from the crowds and traffic. It's nice and quiet:... Read more

The room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and although the bathroom was small, it did have a nice step in shower. The hotel is off the interstate away from busy traffic and had a patio overlooking woods with a couple of grills available for guests which I found nice and unique. The only slightly negative thing I can say (which really isn't a biggie) was the whirlpool area was under construction and they did not inform guest nor have signs. We were in our... Read more

We stopped on our trip to Florida and it was a nice place. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was perfect for my family of 4. The water in the shower was perfect after a long day of travel. We will be back!! Only thing is they need a pool or the hot tub fixed but other than that worth the price and it was cheaper to walk in then book online but I recommend calling for availability.

I never mind staying at an older hotel, however I do mind if the rooms are not clean. I had to clean the hair dryer before I could touch the handle it was so dirty. I understand showers are wet areas and mildew can be expected, but when it can easily be wiped away (by me), it should have been cleaner.

Needed a room for myself, my husband and two children while visiting nearby Pontotoc. We stayed on a Friday night and only one room, a suite (room 220), was left that would accommodate a party of 4. The room was clean and attractive but had several annoyances. The kids were going to have to sleep on the pull out sofa in the "living area" of the suite. I once held this hotel as my favorite in the Tupelo area. It was near my hometown, felt safe, and looked great. They say "two out of three ain't bad," but I do wish Wingate would reinvest some of its capital in remodeling. The carpet had a large stain on it in front of the bed. The shower area had several areas of mold. The furnishings and decor have survived since the hotel was established. This was our first time at a Windgate--we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was the unfortunate site of some very unruly folks who had broken the window and then covered it up with the drapes. The service was good, the room was clean and the bed was above average. Our only other comment would be that the plastic omlets were not great! We'll look for a Windgate on our next trip.

This was an excellent hotel! We called late at night asking if they had rooms, and that we would be needing a roll-away bed. I was told that since we were on our way, not to make a reservation. Even without the reservation, check in was so fast, only about 3 minutes! The nice man at the front desk had already taken the roll-away to our room before we even got there! Possibly the best experience we've had, and we would definitely stay here again!

I'm usually pretty easy going but the mold in the bathtub was not a one-time deficit in cleaning. I scraped some to make sure it wasn't just stained. This was a build up over time and a real lack of concern over cleaning doesn't make you very comfortable about walking around barefoot or climbing between the sheets. I hope they get their act together. This was really bad housekeeping procedures!!

It's easy to find, right off the interstate. Because the hotel is so "convenient" to the interstate, choose a room on the back. Otherwise you will hear trucks rumbling by all night long (like we did).

Hotel was clean, yet for supposedly newly renovated it did lack Good pillows and lamps that where torn. I was very surprised. Also the quality of buffet breakfast was really bad. We ended up eating out the next morning.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean. The water pressure was great and the water was the right temperature for a great shower! The bed was extremely comfortable. We requested extra pillows and they were delivered to our room within minutes. The room was a great size. The location made for a very quiet stay. The breakfast was hot and the food was good. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

We experience a problem with linen. the pillow cases had stains on several. Even after reporting them, the cleaning staff either put them back on the beds or replaced with either ones that had stains.Had to call and report the same concern over again.

The room was nice and the staff was friendly in the beginning however during the breakfast hour the staff was completely rude. We were sitting in the breakfast area chatting and our children were watching tv. The staff came in and cut the television off while our children were watching tv. I thought that was rather rude. She didn't state she was turning the tv off, ask was anyone looking at the tv or anything. I feel that your customers should be treated right and that was not right... she was n... Read more

Overall it was fine buy carpet and sofa had serious stains on it. I just sat in bed instead but it did take away from overall experience. Staff was great. Zero complaints there

We reserved two rooms in November 2016. The lady at check in was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and quiet. Everything worked. The location was great, only maybe 10 minutes from the football field where our son was playing. It was the best value of all of the places I considered for our stay.

So they say it is renovated but it feels like it has seen much better days. Mildew and mold in the showers, Stained nasty carpet, furniture and the bedding looked like it was not even laundered just wadded up. I changed rooms and the second was no better. The AC in the halls was loud enough to hear in the room. None of the amenities were working like gym or hot tub and the place smelled like a highschool gym. Nice staff but what an excellent example of how some sites mislead with ratings. I h... Read more

I have stayed here previously, the Staff are always Pleasant and Kind. I was disappointed this time they no longer have the indoor Hot Tub /Jacuzzi. The hotel is always Clean. This trip I took time to sample their breakfast. Quite nice. The pillows were Flat in this room, time for some new pillows. I did not have time on this trip but on prior trip, I really appreciated the Guest Laundry.Room. I will likely be in Tupelo a couple times in 2017 and I will likely stay at this hotel again

The accommodations and staff were very nice. The only criticism I have is that the bathroom had no exhaust fan. The humidity build up caused the otherwise nice fixtures and door hinges to rust.

Went and stayed with my family of 4. Service wasn't all that great. We weren't greeted by anyone. Had to wait 15 mins for someone to come around to the desk to check us in. The bathrooms weren't clean and not toilet paper in them. The elevators stayed broken most of the time (they wouldn't open). Breakfast was cold and had no one refilling the pans. I was extremely unhappy with the service of this hotel!

They are accessed via an access road, you can see it going one way on the highway but not the other. Not the easiest to get to, but very nice once you get there. They have glass shower doors - not important - just stuck out in my mind. Comfortable beds, cleanrooms, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and lots of parking.

We have stayed at this hotel before with positive results. This time, however, we found the only lounge chair severely stained and soiled to the point that we could not sit in it. I told the check-in clerk and she did offer to move us. We had already unpacked and were pulling a trailer and needed to be close to it . It was certainly not her fault but management should keep such things checked. It was so bad that it was the very first thing we both saw when we walked in. We do know that roo... Read more
