Nice hotel. Next to Mississippi State University. Would recommend for convenience and price if major events are not scheduled at University. Would NOT recommend if a major event is scheduled at university, rates can rise to $300 a night

Perfect location to get to a Mississippi State game. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location for the game, shopping, and to the Interstate. Room is super comfortable, big, and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small "sundries" store on site as well. Perfect size pool too.

We stayed at the Hampton because of our grandaughters Graduation. The room was nice. Comfortable bed. Everything was clean. 3 other rooms were taken by family members. The grandchildren enjoyed the great pool. We all enjoyed breakfast.

We usually stay at this hotel but it seems the cleaning staff is slacking. The room had been cleaned but there was a dirty tissue and hair in the bed sheets. The floor in the breakfast area was sticky. My shoes were sticking to the floor.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn while moving our granddaughter home for the summer. We usually get a room with a sofa, but none was available during our stay. The hotel is just an average Hampton with nothing memorable to make me want to return. It was adequate for a short visit, but I wouldn't want to spend much time there. It had the basics and was clean. We usually get more for the price we paid, however, I realize they ask more because it is a college town. We found it rather difficult to ... Read more

This Hampton Inn is excellent. My son and I are here for a HS baseball event. Closest hotel to campus and remarkably quiet. Clean, updated and operated by a friendly staff, each of whom greets guests upon arrival. I am a Hilton Diamond who visits a lot of Hilton properties coast to coast over a year. I will return next summer, or whenever I am in Starkville.

Staff were very nice. Check in and check out was easy. Room was clean. Location was a bit hard to get into because it's on the corner of two busy streets. I chose this hotel because I was there on business and they offered state government rates, but will stay on a personal trip next time.

The room was small. The pillow was lumpy. The bed was uncomfortable. No special gold card service. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. The room should been better at this price point.

The hotel was loaded with softball players and parents. The staff was friendly and did a very good job checking us in and out. Even thought they had many request for late checkouts because of softball changes and rain outs. Ryan was very nice and answered many questions about the area. Where to eat and all his favorite places. Our room was nice and I had booked a king room and need a double. The hotel was full and Ryan offered to bring extra blankets and pillows and even called up after about... Read more

First visit to Starkville and this hotel. The hotel was easy to find and located close to the university and many food options. The room is modern and clean. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. Only downside is outdoors noise.

Great location as it adjacent to campus and u can even walk. Very tough to get reservations during football season for this reason. Close to restaurants. Very clean and helpful staff. Rooms are very typical of Hampton inns but very clean and comfortable beds.

First, the good: no one died and it is close to State. Other than that, this is a definate pass - filthy, stained carpet throughout, run down conditions, didn't even have soap/shampoo in several rooms. The "Business Center" is just a couple of ancient, barely working computers in the breakfast area. There is a Garden Inn in Starkville, and it is pretty decent if you are HHonors, but this place is an option of last "resort" (and there is nothing remotely resort-like about this place).

I enjoyed the location of this Hampton, with a Starbucks, Chik-Fil-A and Buffalo Wild Wings all within walking distance, it was a prime location for an overnight stay while on business. The next time I'm in the Starkville area, I'll be staying here.

Overall this hotel has problems with the climate control in many of the rooms resulting in damp floors/high humidity/ mildew in the drapes/ general mustiness. The staff is absolutely outstanding and super helpful, but they can only do so much when it appears corporate is failing to adequately fund/maintain this location.

The hotel is outdated, the one washer in the laundry room doesn't look as if it has been cleaned in years. The rooms have an odor I think maybe from the carpet. The lien on the bed also seems to be old.

Once again a Hampton Inn doesn't disappoint. The staff was very friendly, and check in and check out was very smooth. As usual the room was very clean, as well as clean bathroom and clean bedding. The bathroom was also stocked with free Neutrogena products. Great location to all the city restaurants and stores.

The Hampton Inn in Starkville MS is very well managed. The staff was very helpful and seemed genuinely glad to accomdate their guest. Not only was I treated well, I observed the hostess interactions with other guest also. I sat in the lobby for a few minutes and she was decorating the area for football season.

We were able to snag a last minute room on our way home from the Bama game- Roll Tide! I booked through trip advisor and it was a great rate and easy to book. When we arrived the front desk employee was so nice and got us to our room quickly! There is a great gym, pool and the breakfast was perfect to send us on our way! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Not your typical clean Hampton inn. Hallways, breakfast area, and room windows not clean. Just not inviting. We usually pick Hamptons but we would most likely not stay at this one again. Location to highway was good.
