My room was lovely. Everything worked. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is lovely. Much better than most. There is fruit, cookies, lemonade, and coffee awaiting your arrival. Nice touch. Great place.

This hotel is a perfectly located hotel if you are heading to the Jackson Miss area. Everything is at your service. Super quiet - super service. You can even walk to a few places if you needed to do this. Close any place to eat, any place to shop. Only issue could be the parking. Its all to one side. To me, this really was not a big deal.

The building sits next to a vacant property on the fringe of town. The halls all smelled of cigarettes. Wallpaper not being changed out is probably the reason. Breakfast was usual for Hampton Inn but would not return to this property.

The only problem was the pillows. They provided two feather pillows that were a little too flat and hard, plus two pillows of chopped foam that were too fluffy yet chrushable. Everything else about the hotel was first rate. We will stay here again but hope they offer plain ol' foam pillows (will ask next time).

Very nice hotel for the price. Room was clean and spacious, bathroom was nice, and staff was helpful. Good location near downtown and highway. Breakfast was ok - scrambled eggs, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, small danishes and muffins, biscuits and bagels. Nothing super fancy, but complete.

My husband, son and myself were enroute to Austin, Texas. We decided to let our stop off be in Jackson, Miss. Boy were we pleased to find such a nice and reasonable hotel, tucked away in a secluded area off the highway. The staff was friendly and the desk clerk was extremely nice. We arrived late at night, and she was as friendly as if we had arrived early in the day. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, and we received a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning! Staff was very friendly and professional. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations and im a major germaphobe and hunt for ickyness. Didnt find a thing! Was very please all around. I was amazed with the internet speed also! Area was convenient for ordering food and recieving it in a timely manner. The only thing slightly concerning, yet comforting, was the police chilling in the parking lot for a few hours

This was a one night stay for a business meeting. Relatively new to the city. This hotel could not have been easier to get to from the interstate and was in a very good locale to get to anywhere in Jackson. I literally spent about 30 seconds checking in with the friendliest staff member --this was after 7pm and she was still cheery! The next morning, to my surprise, the day staff was just as friendly and accommodating -- my check out consisted of handing in the key card, they asked me if i'd l... Read more

It's a very clean hotel with nice rooms. We were there on business, so did not spend a lot of time in our rooms. They could be more sound proof. Every time someone would leave their room the doors slamming would wake us up. But overall it was pretty good.

When we arrived, the hotel smelled like mildew. That evening, we took the kids to the pool. They were so disappointed because the water was filthy. The next day, I had to miss a very important meeting (the main reason for our visit) because a city waterline was breached and we could neither bathe nor use the restroom!!! The next morning, we went downstairs around 9:30 to eat breakfast. The staff removed the food at 9:40 a.m. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10. I heard numerous complaints... Read more

I did not expect to stay in a Hampton Inn which had no refrigerator nor microwave in the room. The hotel staff were friendly and they were helpful. The road leading to the hotel is in major disrepair but when driving through Jackson, I found that most roads are.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from the beach and did not enjoy our stay. The hallways smelled terribly of a sour odor. The rooms were mostly clean but extremely outdated for the price. The shower water did not get hot enough to take a shower. The service was okay but will not be back. Not sure if there is anything nice in Jackson, MS but won't be back to find out.

This is an older hotel, but it is well taken care of. The beds are really comfortable and the pool is nice. The double suite is very roomy and easily sleeps 8. I slept on the pull out sofa and it was not one that you can feel the bar or springs. The breakfast is your normal hotel continental hot breakfast. Also, the people working there were very friendly and helpful.

If you book this hotel be very aware and cautious of what you are told by the front desk... Especially if you are there for Medical reasons. They do not honor the medical voucher from the hospitals, even when you are told they will by a front desk employee. The conversation with the manager was frustrating as she questioned the fact that I have been give that information.. I will not book at this hotel again, since they do not honor their word... There are plenty of other hotels available...

In need of updates!! Old dingy carpet that looks like an 80's nightmare and trash under the living room end table. Overall feel was just not cozy. The bed is springy and hard imo. Nice flat screen tv's And large living room and bedroom are positives though (if only it were more cozy) the room was cheap enough and, since its only one night, we'll make do.

This is not in the greatest part of town and does not have quality food next to it. Unless you like Whataburger and WaffleHouse. Also, any Yelp restaurants are closed Sunday's. The staff were pleasant, but no trash can in my room, door handle didn't work well, door was tough to close and the shower was dirty. I had a return trip planned but chose to cancel it and stay at a Hilton in north Jackson instead.

We picked this hotel to get our points and due to a convenient location. Only fast food somewhat close but this place needs a lot of work. In terms of a Hilton facility, this is the worse I have ever been in. The floors were stained and very worn, the lock on the door did not work properly, stuff on the floor, etc. The staff was very pleasant when we checked in but was completely absent when we left. It is very close (less than a mile) to the State Capitol and surrounding area -so I was surprised to see the Hampton was located right on the edge of town and surrounded by mainly vacant sites. Stayed here one night to attend our college son's cross country meet the next day at Choctaw Trails. We had a double room, which was rather small and in need of updating. The hallway had a very 70's red and black decor. We are Honors members and we felt this Hampton was not as nice as most of the ones we have stayed at. Thankfully I only stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is in need of major renovations and a housekeeping staff. The shower head in the bathroom had mold and scale on it, the long wall at the base of the tub had black mold, long hairs in the shower, and a feminine product in the elevator this morning as I came down to check out. With the cleanliness of the hotel, personally I choose not to eat their breakfast. There are also no fridges or microwaves in any of the rooms I was told.
