This hotel is located in a convenient location, nothing is perfect. However basic hotel culture should always be implemented. I went 1 day without a tv remote these days it's important for certain guests just as checking emails and having your cell to have a remote. the hotel room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the bathtub was very slippery and I have a foot problem so it was hard for me to reach the bar in order to get in the tub for a shower. Next time I will ask for a different room so I won't fall and kill myself.

The hotel needs updating. The floors were dirty. The carpet had stains. The room had clean linens but needed a deep clean. The breakfast had food that was not fresh. This is not the best Baymont I've been to. The front desk was accommodating for the pool being closed.

This place needs some attention. The flooring throughout is in disrepair, the carpeting in the hallways look like they haven't been cleaned for six months, there is a layer of dust everywhere. This hotel had the toilet paper holder hanging off wall ran out of towels. The carpet smell like pee when I was down doin exercise. Stayed here on my way to Florida.The front office staff seemed disorganized and room was been cleaned when we arrived around 8:30 PM which made me wonder why it was been made at this time. The rooms looked nice and clean. I would warn that the smell of our bed sheets, blankets, etc. smelt as if they have not been cleaned. We didn't notice the smell at first until after we woke up and found our clothing haven't a dirty scent and found that the smell was coming from the bed sheets. The room we slept in also had a door leading to the neighboring room, so make sure that you lock that door.

Right off the beltline, can't miss it! Can't get lost, it's in a great location. Less then 20 minutes from all of Jacksons amenities. We stopped here in Jackson, MS on our way to Dallas,TX. The room was huge and the bed was pretty comfortable. Everything was clean and orderly. This was my first time in Jackson, Mississippi for the black rodeo. It was okay but it needs major improvements. Staff was decent. Kudos to the receptionist at the front desk. First let me say the staff was curious and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The AC was cold when it was very hot outside. The room was worn. Frayed carpet carpet at room entrance and bathroom entrance. Paint smudges around the ceiling and even on wall art frames. Flooring in common areas was worn and stained. Check in was quick as we had reservations. The carpet on our floor hallway was stained with something black but was not a problem. There was another stain, or sticky footprint on our carpet in our room, that was noticeable. Well i was upset that I could not pay cash for the room. I like to pay cash.. then the beds were plain, there was no throw on it and no blankets, there was mold in the bathroom. On top of that I asked for extra towels... I never got them,, so I had to go and purchase some.. The internet service was horrible and I was constantly told that they would reset it and it was still horrible. The computer chair seemed to have been broken. The breakfast for that Monday morning was terrible, they only had continental breakfast items and no meat or eggs as usual. I must say that the bed linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. I have stayed here several times and have been happy with my room and stay but this time it was totally different.

Although the staff was nice and pleasant, I was disappointed by how unclean the hotel was, the workout room was a disaster, the treadmill did not work, the elyptical machine kept coming off track and scratched my leg up, and the made didn't do a good job of cleaning, and I was never given the wifi password.

This was our second time to stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Jackson, MS. Both times have been excellent. The rooms were well maintained, and clean. This hotel stay left me feeling very disappointed. The one nice thing I can say about it is that it's conveniently located. Check in seemed to take longer than it should and the staff was unfriendly. Our room smelled very stale and quite dirty. The entire hotel is lacking general upkeep. The continental breakfast starts at 6:00, but at 6:30 the only thing available was coffee. I walked in to register, I had already made a reservation and no one was at the desk. I waited at least 5 minutes and it turned out the front desk person was sitting in the lounge watching TV and didn't even notice me. We are Diamond Wyndham Members so we got a rate of 52.99 a night, but they charge 25.0p a day for incedentials and there is nothing you can charge to the room so I don't understand this charge. So now they are holding 75.00 of my money and I am a traveling entertainer, this needs to on their website because I would not have booked with them. Can't afford this, very disappointed.

When we arrived we were exhausted...the clerk gave us our key we went up to our room the key would not work had to go down for another key those would not work either had to go down again the clerk was on the phone and acted annoyed that we could not get in our room. I waited for her to get off the phone so she could come open our door. She tried the key that we had I guess to make sure I knew what I was doing. It didn't work for her either. I stay here often. The breakfast service is often late and cold and poorly serviced. Workers are late or too busy chatting with others rather than tending to business. Breakfast content i good but the quality of service and attention to detail is poor.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and children were excited to have microwave and frig in room. Only problem was when housekeeping took used towels and didn't give us any clean ones. Desk said they were completely out of towels.

Have stayed here before but the king suite with jacuzzi was a little dirty and in need of cosmetic work. The bed was still good, the AC worked great. Breakfast was average to below. No eggs or meat. Midget coffee cups. Ice machine broke.

I don't ever write reviews, and frankly am biased about the reviews I've read. Bottom line, this place was filthy. I don't mind "needs updating". There was visible lint/dust/etc behind the bedside tables. The phone didn't even have a cord for the outlet, so it was unusable. Just dirty dirty dirty. We were spending a quick night on the way to Florida, otherwise I would have left. One positive. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Baymont Inn on I-55n in Jackson needs to step it up!!! First the carpet in the rooms was filthy...Secondly the shower and bathroom was filthy..Thirdly they had no clean towels one day and to top it off the manager didnt want to adjust my rates for all these inconveniences!!!

I imagine this was once really nice, but now in serious need of refurbishment. I could see all the patch ups. Hinges and some fittings in our bathroom had rust spots. Hole in the carpet between the beds, caulk work around toilet, to name some things. The staff seemed a bit "tired" as well; not much enthusiasm there. A good stay for the price and great location. Rooms were very neat and no distracting odors. Great customer service from both day and night desk clerks.. Located next door to the 24 hour IHOP - right off the highway.

It never ceases to amaze me when hotels can't or won't update their facilities. Carpet is nasty in hallways and rooms. This location charged me $25.00 fee for incidentals upfront. Sure I get receive credit back but it takes days for this to occur. This is total BS.

This hotel looks fine from outside and even lobby. Room carpet soiled nasty and looked like had been flooded. Not only would I not stay there again I would shiver at the mention of Baymont Inn. We were told it is owned by Wyndham - I don't think I would stay at a Wyndham either then. Sinks drained slowly. Yuck!

I reviewed this hotel in April, 2016 and one of the issues was the Internet. A response from the general manager was they fixed the internet issue. It is not fixed. We have family in Jackson and are frequent visitors. When I make the reservations, I always request the first or second floor in the center of the hotel. All departments were lacking in job performance and showed an overall lack of pride in their work. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and hallway walls had scuffs and peeling paint. The bathroom floor and tub were dirty, mold in the corners and in grout. Staff sat around socializing instead of doing their one restocked breakfast, it was hard to get anyone at the front desk. We played in a state tournament in Jackson, MS. Because their host hotels were over $100.00, I called around and because of the $59.99 a night room, and the help the people at the desk gave me, we booked the rooms at Baymont Inn. I made a couple of changes and was always treated great. The rooms were clean, the hotel is handy to everything, the breakfast was good and the all the employees made us feel welcome. We will be back. We all slept great and commented on how good the beds were.

The staff was very friendly, but the hotel was very dirty and need of repairs. The bathroom in my room had dirt, pubic hairs and mildew around the ledge of the tub. There were various small bits of paper on the bathroom floor from the previous guests. Even the elevators had dirty walls (various drip marks) and dry rot around the floorboards.

The carpet had big wrinkles in it and severely stained. The bathtub had hair all in it and on the walls with grimy yuck around the edges. The wifi is terrible! While my phone was connected it wouldn't load pages at all it would just time out so we had to disconnect in order to use the internet. We only paid $60 for the night so we weren't expecting much by way of amenities and decor but we did expect cleanliness. I always check the bed when I first enter the room and its a good thing I did because on the fitted sheet in the middle of the bed were makeup stains. The hotel staff promptly changed the sheets which was nice. That's where the niceties end. We stayed here for one night while traveling north on I-55. For $59.00 a night it wasn't bad. The night check-in was good. Very polite. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable but the pillows weren't the best. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, and small sink. Breakfast however, was below par. The eggs and sausage were very cold.

Part of our family got moved to a room on the other side of the hotel when their room did not have electricity. Our room keys did not work with multiple attempts of staff to code them and each failed attempt required another trip downstairs to the front desk.
