Our room was spacious but nothing out of the ordinary. The bed was not comfortable. Reception was non-attentive and we had trouble getting non-feather pillows but our request was eventually met. This hotel was overpriced for what was offered. It was fairly expensive and breakfast was not included. We passed on the $10.95 breakfast. I usually like Hilton Garden Inns but I do not see the value here.

If you've been to Hattiesburg you know that a nice hotel is hard to come by. Really anywhere in central Mississippi can be a challenge to find a good hotel. This HGI is older, but is consistently clean and has some of the best staff members I've encountered. Ross the bar tender is great - he personalizes his bar based on the likes of his regular customers. Aurora, at breakfast is friendly, kind and caring. She genuinely loves people and her job. I visit Hattiesburg quite often. HGI is one of the best and most valued hotel in town. The staff is great, evening bar, morning breakfast, and being so close to everything is just so great. You can walk to the restaurants or get delivered. Staff is very caring and friendly.

I'm a Hilton Honors Silver member so I do a decent amount of traveling. I ALWAYS stay at Hilton brand hotels. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The staff wasn't helpful, the hair in my bed was disgusting and the room smelled like an 8th grade boys locker room. Highly disappointed. Left the Garden Inn for the Hampton.

We were there with a wedding party. While we all tried to be respectful and quiet, we were still a wedding party. The staff was patient and kind. The bartender went above and beyond for our group. The rooms were quiet, regardless of the noise in the lobby, and they were spotless and comfortable. Definitely returning when we return to the area!

Overall a nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Suites were very spacious. Complimentary coffee, tea and infused water available most of the day. The breakfast was okay. They offered continental and a hot buffet. Fitness center small. Wish they had an outdoor pool, only had an indoor one.

This is a very welcoming hotel and were very pleased with all aspects of what is offered. We were treated very well and staff seemed sincere in wanting our stay to be special. They seemed like they wanted us to come back. This is 2 hours from home and we believe this will be our new week-end get away. Hotel is within an hour casinos, NewOrleans , but away from all the crowds.

Requested early check in previous day, was told no guarantee but would try. Arrived about 12:30 PM, front desk clerk looked in computer, no clean rooms, stated about 1:30PM. Came back from lunch about 2PM, looked in computer again still no clean rooms. I suggested clerk call housekeeping, & guess had been cleaned 7 waiting for us since 12 noon, but computer never updated. We stopped in Hattiesburg on our way to Florida. Location of hotel was easy to find. Hotel was sold out due to baseball tournament nearby. We met players in elevator and hallway, but didn't hear any noise when in our room. The bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure and water temperature was great! We will stay here again.

Pros: Location Friendly Staff Clean and Comfortable Rooms Cons: Terribly slow internet speed I stayed here on business in June, 2016. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean, with the lone exception being black dust/grime on the ceiling at the outlet from the air duct. The bathroom was spotless and the linens were new and still fluffy and soft. We stayed one night on our way to Gulf Shores, and I will book here again on our next trip. The hotel was clean, our room was spotless, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. We did not have time to use the pool, fitness room, or business center this time, but I did wander through each and they were also clean. Cable TV and Internet were both more than adequate, and the hot breakfast was a nice bonus. No complaints!!

We found the hotel to be okay but not in line with Hilton's standards for a Garden Inn. The lobby is nicely decorated and has obviously been touched up since the property was built. The elevators made noisy and the floors surfaces were popping up. The rooms themselves were a bit tired. I would not tell someone they shouldn't stay here but for the room rate they are charging I would say it is time for a remodel.

I was at this Hilton for the day in the conference area. I did not stay there over night. The problem was the seats in the conference area was covered in what I assume is either poison oak or ivy. I left with a huge itchy rash on both my legs where I was in contact with the chair. It shows you how long these chairs go without being cleaned and what else in the hotel might be contaminated.

I've stayed at Hilton hotels, and mostly HGI hotels, this one gave off the impression that the owners are cheap, and try to nickel n dime everything in the hotel. There was a lot of things that need fixing or service or cleaned, that just wasn't done, or not done frequently enough. Had it not been for the staff, I would have gone to another hotel. I normally do not give a bad review ... However, we used to stay at this hotel when visiting my son and his family in Hattiesburg. They used to be the best place in town to stay. They offered Hilton Honor guests the option on breakfast or points - not any more. The beds were terrible and the room needed some repair and updating. What a shame.
