Too bad. This hotel appears to be just what you expect from a Hilton Garden Inn, or better. Located in downtown Rochester, convenient to restaurants, shops, and Mayo Clinic (for which shuttle service is available). Facility is clean and service is pleasant. However, parking is poor - very small lot adjacent hotel with overflow lot a block away. The hotel will valet as needed, but you should not have to at a simple hotel such as this. Took a free apple in the lobby - one bite and ick! Had ... Read more

The staff was more than helpful while my husband was hospitalized at Mayo Clinicfor three weeks. Their daily support and concern, which is part of their policy, given their clientele, is extraordinary. Their drivers were an enormous help, taking me to and from the hospital each day and night.

The Hotel itself is a nice place, the room was clean and ready. The front desk was uncaring if we checked in or not, and parking was a real issue. If you don't mind parking 3 block away, then its a nice place to stay. On my next trip to Rochester MN, I will be trying some place else.

The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are clean. It is fairly close to the mayo clinic and highway access. The hotel is also in the heart of the restaurant and shopping districts in downtown Rochester.

Was in town for the MN SHRM State Conference. Was able to use the sky way system to walk over to the convention center in the pouring rain and never got wet. Super helpful staff who helped me order food when I got in late on Monday night. Valet parking is an added bonus.

WE stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn as it was linked to the wsedding venue for my daughter's wedding at Mayowood stone Barn. It was a welcoming hotel with an event coordinator and a free night stay for the newly married couple. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We arrived the night before a long day of appointments at Mayo Clinic. We had a very nice and comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. We'd recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone.

The Hilton is connected to the Mayo Clinic via a skyway. It's also just a half block from the great restaurant in the Doubletree. There is parking (not enough for all guests, but parking nonetheless). The breakfast is good and the rooms comfortable. There are two small outdoor seating areas. Will definitely stay here again.

We stay in this hotel every few months when we have Mayo Clinic appointments. The warm and friendly and helpful staff are what keep us coming back. The hotel is connected to Mayo by underground and overground walkways, which is great in bad weather, but is also close enough to walk to Mayo outdoors in nice weather. Many good restaurants and shops are nearby, both outdoors and along the indoor walkways. The breakfast cooks and wait staff are lovely people and the food on the buffet is fresh a... Read more

I stayed here last week even though we are local with my two children as we had bid on a one night's stay at a silent auction. The room was fine, starting to be a bit dated, but it was clean. Front desk staff was excellent when I made the reservation and when we checked in. Breakfast was included with our voucher and the food was quite good with plenty of options to make my kiddos happy. However, be warned that the rooms on the southern end of the hotel are very loud if it is a Thursday, F... Read more

Stayed here for a wedding. Clean rooms. $10.95 each for Saturday morning brunch. A wide variety of foods, but bland. Potatoes with sausage gravy and eggs and cheese on top, looked delicious, but so blah. Fresh fruits, yogurts, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and sausage, sweets, toast. Made to order omelets. Friendly staff. Park yourself or valet parking is the same price $13 a day. Would stay again, but maybe find a less expensive breakfast.

Room was well appointed and clean. Hotel seemed like it was recently remodeled. The hotel is right downtown next to a bunch of shops restaurants and bars. I liked everything except that they didn't have a parking lot onsite so you had to valet.

This hotel really needs to be refurbished. It's in a great location, but we moved to the Homewood Suites, which is a little further from Mayo, but much nicer and more comfortable. I think that Hilton can get away with lack of upgrading here only because it has a great location.

Stayed at this hotel over 20 times for business. Friendly staff, good breakfast, great location in downtown and easy walking distance to Mayo Clinic. A bit pricey in the summer months (~$200). The Broadway side of the hotel can be a bit noisy; the alley side is a bit better but only offers queen beds. Consistent cleanliness and quality of rooms, good business hotel.

We stayed over night for a wedding and we were able to ride the trolley to the Mayowood barn thanks to the wedding party. The room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was short but we enjoyed it. Our only big complaint was we were upgraded to a king size suite from our 2 queen room. That normally wouldn't have been a problem but with our group it wasn't feasible. I would have been nice if they'd asked first. They also couldn't find our reservation initially even though we booked months in advanc... Read more

I had the opportunity to recently stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rochester. The service was exceptional from the time I checked in until the time I departed. Very nice bedding; good air-conditioning. The parking is tricky. Rochester is a company town so when the Mayo is not open, the town somewhat closes, but there are fun pubs and shops. We didn't have a choice for hotels, but the Hilton Garden Inn met our needs. We didn't like the $11 plus tip charge for the breakfast. The food was good, but there was no option for a lighter breakfast for a smaller fee. Friendly staff. Midwestern nice surrounds you in Rochester.

I had checked in early the day before and had identified the room I wanted. When I arrived at the hotel at 5:00 pm my room wasn't ready. The staff blamed it on another group and then said I could wait. They finally offered the option of another room, they didn't offer anything additional for the inconvenience and I'm a long time Hilton honors member. Additionally, in the workout room, there were two treadmills and one was out of service. No one touched it for the 3 days I was there. There ... Read more

I appreciate all the work the local staff and corporate did to make it abundantly clear that the hotel is being remodeled. Knowing the risks were beneficial however they didn't note that the pool is closed. This greatly disappointed my daughter. Thankfully they have an arrangement with the DoubleTree down the street. This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Rochester. As of August 2016, the hotel was still under remodel but it was in very good shape. The only issue I have is parking is very limited, however there is a parking ramp about half a block away. Nice location, clean room, very large, nice sized bathrooms. There are many restaurants and bars within half a block of this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Be prepared if you stay at this hotel in the near future - they are under renovation. The staff was very helpful however the room was a little below the quality of Hilton Garden Inn.
