It was a good location. The pool and hot tub area were very nice, small, but no one was using it so plenty of room. I hit my shin on a metal part of the bed sticking out, it was covered by the bedspread so I couldn't see it. Had a big bruised bump from that so just be careful walking by the beds.

Cheap hotel considering but you get what you pay for. Small rooms, odd pool area and continental breakfast. The rooms are tight for a family of four and a bit dark but the beds were surprisingly fairly comfortable. The pool area was locked and you needed a code which they didn't mention at check-in at all. Luckily some people in the pool area let us in. The hotel is older and could use updating. Hot tub is small but pool is an okay size. It's fine for an overnight - I wouldn't book it for... Read more

It was fine to spend the night, not fancy but clean, had a fridge, check out was easy. Perkins was right up the street so we ate breakfast there and it was pretty darn good!

This property was not well maintained, visible damage to exterior of building and inside hallways, carpet in room had burn holes and rips, towels are terrible, frayed and gray. Don't plan to eat the breakfast it was a joke. Signs said the property was smoke free but the was very strong odor of smoke in entire building. Loud train ran next to property up to 11 pm.

This Super8 is in dire need of renovation starting with new carpet. The hallways especially smell like cigarette smoke. It is awful. The room smell was hardly any better.

The room was very average for a Super 8. But there is a train track right by the back side of the hotel. I like to sleep with the window open but this was not possible because the train went through about 2 times every hour. We asked if we could move to the other side of the hotel and were told there was nothing available (even though the hotel did not look anywhere near full). The breakfast was so so.

I loved the decor and it was pretty clean. Only down fall was the bed was rock hard and the hot tub plug kept coming up so we couldn't actually relax. my hubby had to push it down and we had to keep checking to make sure that we didn't lose water. And there was food in the fridge from previous guests. And there were people outside all night long so we had no where to have a cigarette so we would walk around for that. And for the price we paid I was expecting more of a breakfast selection and ove... Read more

great location, clean rooms and very courteous staff. The hotel was really clean and comfortable. The pool area was really nice. Also, the girl at the front desk was really helpful when we asked for directions for a good place to eat. Great service and would definitely stay there again.

Very plain motel. The room we had needed updating and little things done. It was suppose to have a roll in shower according to my reservation but did not. I could not use the bath even with a bath chair as I was having difficulties using both legs during the visit due to a MS flare. The train also runs close to the property so if you are easily upset by such noise I would choose a different motel. The train only went by twice while we were there once around 10:30 or 11PM and then around 8AM... Read more

Had never stayed here and reserved without reading reviews or anything else. Needed a place on the way home, found it online, and booked. Once I had booked in and was in my room, I looked on my computer for places nearby to eat etc. and in doing that saw a few of the reviews, some very good ones, and a few of them seem to come from people who on every review of any motel anywhere come from people who expect a million dollar experience for less and it still wouldn't be good enough. rented a handicap room. The phone is on a shelf that a handicap person would never reach. No roll in shower, the wheelchair does not fit between the bed and the wall, there is two long ramps to get to the room and any handicap person that does not have help would never be able to do this, especially if they had luggage. Very drap decor, the curtain had a different color piece sewed on it, because it must have been to short! Would not recommend for handicap person. Didn't feel clean!

The room is non-smoking but hotel reeks of smoke. The mattress was TERRIBLE! The bedding and towels are old and look nasty, yellow, stained. The coffee pot is so rusted I'm surprised it works. The cleaning staff were nice and did the best with what they had.

Towels were low-quality; one towel had what appeared to be blood on it, the second day; no courtesy shampoo available. Light breakfast was good. Back door sign said "key required." but the lock wasn't working. At midnight one could just walk into the building.

Red Wing super 8 in convenient to dining and shopping. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly, but overall the property is nothing special. Breakfast is minimal and the location near the train tracks make it a bit noisy.

My husband and I spent a week in Red Wing at the Super 8. The management and desk staff we're very helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping our room clean and well supplied with everything we needed. When we needed something taken care of in our room the maintenance man was right there to take care of it. We want to thank everyone for making our visit to Red Wing so nice.

Stayed during a heat wave in July. Ugh. Air conditioner got the temp down, but didn't take the moisture out of the air. Room was ancient with water stains in bathroom and train tracks close by. All my clothes were damp for 4 days. Also I am a non-smoker who stayed in the smoker wing. Had to hold my breath until I got to my room. To management's credit, they are trying to get rid of the smoking rooms but getting pushback from franchise. If you stay here, ask for the non-smoking wing. Their ... Read more

This was a great little place to get away to for a night. We stayed there when we attended the Boston concert at the casino nearby. It was perfect for us and the pool is open all night, so we could just relax and enjoy the company of some people we met and relax by the pool without the limitations of it closing. Great place and very reasonable. If you are in Red Wing, MN, this is the place you should stay.

I made our reservations February 21st for our July 29th to August 1st. When we arrived our non-smoking room was in the smoking wing, the older part of the building. When I asked to be moved they said there wasn't any other rooms. When we had breakfast Saturday morning, I heard a couple of people check out, so I ask for a move again. Again they said there weren't any rooms. I asked about the room/s just vacated, someone else will be using those rooms they said. So I said give our room to the new ... Read more

This is my second stay at this Super 8 and it was just as nice a place as the last time. It is a great value, clean, and quiet. The internet is plenty fast and it is right off the main drag toward Hastings and the cities. It is about half the price of most of the motels in the metro area without compromising cleanliness or comfort.

I preface this by saying that all I really need is a bed & a bathroom when I travel. I didn't care about a pool, a suite, or continental breakfast. So, I'm easy to please. But I will say that this place is rather shabby, and by that I mean that the paint in the rooms is a little messy, the carpets are worn, the towels are stained, the frig didn't keep things very cold, there are water spots on the bathroom walls, the mattress sunk in a bit, and there was a cigarette hole in my sheets. But, it wa... Read more

I could see the bike trail I had come to ride out the window of my motel room, whose only problem was that I could hear trains during the night. Although I like the Wyndham motels, my relationship with Wyndham itself is erratic. Sometimes they perform well, sometimes abominably.

We usually stay in 4 star or better and now I remember why! Need some remodeling with the popcorn ceiling that had some water stains. The caulking in the bathroom was slapped on. The hot tub was by far the highlight of the room and looked very new compared to rest of the room. The king size bed was surprisingly comfortable. We usually stay in a timeshare so hard to compare.

The manager was very rude and was talking about us to other customers about how we were unsatisfied with our rooms. The room we had was poorly maintained and smell absolutely awful of strong stale cigarettes. My sister who has asthma was only able to be in that room for 5 minutes. We have stayed here several time --usually just overnight. For a one-night stay it's "okay" but not much else. We were in the newer wing this time (as last time) and it's better than original units, We were on the upper floor to better cope with guest noise. This property attracts bikers and louder parties. We had a mini-fridge and microwave which is handy. The free breakfast is okay if you like cereal (which I do). No eggs, meat, etc. Don't get me wrong, as we would likely stay here again. It's... In July, I reserved a nonsmoking room. I called twice before we got there, to secure our reservation. We got a room that smelled like smoke so badly that we had to go out and buy 3 air fresheners & a spray to deodorize. When we set them out & left, we came back and it smelled like dog poop.
