Just a typical cheap hotel. The owner isn't particularly friendly or interested in being helpful, but I pretty well got what I paid for. I'm not a neat freak but when I look behind chairs for dropped items, finding food and garbage isn't very cool.

This hotel is located on the edge of Red Wing within view of the Mississippi River and the bluffs. Easily reached, it is just off the highway, making it handy to get back on the road. Keeping in mind the cost of room, it is a good basic value.

I book the hotels for 99 percent of our travels and I always check TripAdvisor first. However, on this trip I told my husband to go ahead and make a reservation because I was busy that particular day. As we were traveling to Red Wing, I pulled TripAdvisor up on my phone and I was very, very nervous about this hotel. Unfortunately, he had made a reservation through an online reservation system in which there were no refunds. We were stuck! The reviews provided by people who have stayed here are... Read more

stayed two nights at days inn. this is a motel style facility but is very nice. It is well maintained and clean. Nice to park right outside the door. You did have to walk outside to get to the pool but it is a short walk. the breakfast was ok but was just oatmeal, toast, fruit and drinks. the prices are very reasonable and I would stay again

This is a motel-type facility -drive right up to your door. Although it was clean and tidy, it needs updating. The staff was very friendly; continental breakfast was good. Cheap place to stay and would recommend it just for that.

Stayed in the hotel in Wolverhampton England. Room was so gross, it was 11 at night so we just stayed because we were so tired. People outside drank and yelled all night. It is now 5 am and we are leaving. They need to shut these places down.

Front desk service was friendly/ Room was just what you expect for a decent price -- Nothing fancy but clean sheets & towels & a very comfortable bed, Tv and Lights all worked, doors locked fine. Close to a park where we attended a wedding & the Armory is right next door walking distance !! Short drive ( a few blocks) to the look-out point for great views of Red Wing.

Room space very big with a vaulted ceiling Beds were comfe and clean. However the cleanliness was poor. I cleaned the counter the sink area and even the fan/air conditioning filter which was horribly dusty dirty. There was no smoke detector, we noticed the second day there. There was dust on the headbands. Carpets dirty. Rug not vacuumed very well. Corners and baseboard had bits of stuff. All could be fixed with a better vacuum and wiping the room down with a rag and soapy water.

My husband & 2 other couples stayed 1 night here. First off their only beverage machine was out 5 out of 7 can/bottle soda/water. The temp. outside was 86 & humid so checked out the pool after riding our motorcycles all day. The pool room was warmer & more humid then outdoors & the windows were open. The owner told us the central air was broken & couldn't get someone on a Friday to fix. Our rooms were unacceptable. Not being up to date is fine but finding soap scum on the sink, hair in & around ... Read more

I, like you, thought "let's save money, who cares where we sleep, we'll be gone all day anyways". This place doesn't even meet that very low mark. The room was filthy, extremely dated, too much furniture in the room, stinky, dark and just all around horrible. You enter the room THROUGH the bathroom - this is really weird, and gross. There was unknown red liquid stains on the interior walls, in random places. The pool area is CARPETED, and the windows and A/C were broken so it was unbearably hot ... Read more

The buildings are all separate including the rooms, pool, office, ice and only accessible from outside. The pictures online look much better than the actual hotel and don't show the separateness of all buildings! Not a hotel and truly more a motel!!!! The room was dirty and VERY outdated!!! This hotel is WAY overpriced!! The AC was extremely loud, clunky, and did not work very well!! Not going to stay here ever again!!

I am very easy to please when it comes to lodging, you know, a hotel is a place to crash, to get ready before going out, those types of simple needs. I booked this hotel for a group of girlfriends for our weekend to Redwing. While the hotel is indeed run down, old, needs repair, it is cheap, so you get what you pay for- and I'm ok with that! I thought the beds were comfy, the shower got nice and hot (there was a lot of mold on the ceiling, fyi for anyone who might be bothered by that), the windo... Read more

This Days Inn is way past being out of date. The rooms need attention. I think our linens and towels are supposed to be white and the are so worn and dingy the are past gray. The towels are so worn the are near see through. We will not be staying here again. Beyond the office, out side the pool is a playground such that if any children were to use it they would surely be injured. This entire Days In needs completely remodeled and refitted.

Do not stay at this hotel. We checked in for a 2 night stay and as soon as we saw the room we requested to check back out and be refunded. The room was musty smelling, so back that it gave you a headache. The floor was dirty, especially around the chairs and when my husband pulled back the bedding there was a big chuck of hair in the bed. I have stayed at Days Inn many, many times. I always found the rooms clean and comfortable. Until I stayed at Days Inn, Red Wing, Mn. I was appalled at the filthy room! I am sure the carpet was from the day it was built. The plastic holder by the door, with information about the prices and whatever, was almost brown! You couldn't even see through it. This motel is cheap and easy to find but it is very dirty, had a bad smell, needs repairs and is next door to a prison(which is the least of its problems). Desk clerk was friendly enough but the place needs a thorough cleaning . Our bathtub drain was so clogged with hair, gunk that it took forever to drain.

This was the dirtiest motel room I've ever encountered. I paid nearly $80 for the room! A combination of mildew and cigarettes was not a welcome scent or a great first impression. Deciding where to place my overnight bag was a challenge. All surfaces, including the luggage rack, were coated with grime; the chairs stained. There was black mold on the windowsill. The walls were stained with boogers. After a quick shower, I peeled back the bed covers. The bedding was riddled with holes and cigarett... Read more

The room had issues. Still has baseboard heat and the AC unit looked like it had been through a few wars. The molding around it was broken off and the filter was very dirty. There was a door chain, but the chain was too short to actually latch into the door hook. It appears it had been ripped out many times. The coffeemaker under the basket was dirty and had things growing in it. The bathroom door would not shut all the way. The fan in the bathroom was very dusty.

We had a reservation here, checked in went to our room, which smelled of smoke. I went up to the desk clerk she told me that they were booked for the night and that I was in a non-smoking wing.
