The room was clean and comfortable. Not very large, and no chair, but we just needed a decent bed. The pool and hot tub are small, but adequate for a traveler to take a dip in both. Staff was courteous.

Stay here one night each week for business. Very comfortable, clean and staff is always great.

Suite/Room #204 had a great layout. 2 separate areas separated by a kitchen/breakfast bar area. Big fridge, microwave. Nice bed, not luxurious. Large room & bathroom. Quiet, did not hear neigbors. Indoor pool. Applebees & Pizza Ranch adjacent to property. Go to B & L bar if you want to drink & use the local cab/taxi, they are fast/friendly, & cheap...$8!

Check-in process was smooth. We had a block of rooms due to a large family gathering and the front desk associate handled the check-in process with ease. We were able to use the small banquet room in the lobby Friday night to meet with our family. It was great. The breakfast in the lobby looked fresh and well stocked on Saturday AM.

I typically stay here several times each year. The room was fine, but the common spaces are getting a little rough.

Overall fine. Check in was delayed because room was not clean, even after scheduled check in time. Desk manager not very friendly to other guests during check in. Left something behind, staff failed to thoroughly look for it in the uncleaned room same day we left. Came off as somewhat lazy. Pool was nice and had very good coffee!

Room with toilet that didn't flush, hotel had no maintenance and no other rooms to put us in. We had to use the lobby bathroom for 4 days, when we checked out the front desk manager just shrugged her shoulders.

The TV was not working on our second night. Staff attempted to fix the problem and when it was found to be an outside issue (cable provider) they moved us to another room, a suite because it was available!

We had a two queen room, standard Microtel layout. A fair amount of wear and tear showing, especially in the bathroom. Problems were a slow draining sink and some cleanliness issues such as hair in the bathtub. The AC in the room was relatively quiet. The one on the common wall outside our room for the breakfast area ran 24/7. It resonated sound back into our room. The front desk people were friendly and helpful.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was nothing spectacular, but there were several choices. Our only issue was that the lady in the room next to us woke up before 6:00 and was very loud. She was talking loudly on the phone in the hallway for over 10 minutes, which woke us up.

Was inadvertently scheduled for the wrong weekend/wedding party. Customer service from GM was so poor and passive aggressive, had to contact corporate to resolve the matter. Luckily, we were rescheduled to the correct weekend and our money refunded for the charge when we were not there thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of corporate Customer Care. Arriving to the hotel it was late and raining hard and storms in the area, buckets were laid out in the waiting room to catch leaking rain. ... Read more

For over a decade I've stayed at the Microtel in New Ulm, MN. Staff and management in the past have always been outstanding. This trip in spite for reserving my room as requested, they gave it to someone else and put me in "the last room available." When I pressed the issue, an upgrade suite was promised "at the same rate." But my bill did not match the promise. Only one out of three nights had a slight discount off regular price of the suite. The front desk could not give me a credit. Wo... Read more

Microtel New Ulm is a nice place. Bed was comfortable, pillows were fluffy and room was cool as the ac worked well It's a dog friendly hotel as we were able to bring our dogs into the room for less up charge than doggy daycare Breakfast was just right coffee I wish was better It's right next to a restaurant and across the street from a grocery store liquor store What more could you want? Yes it has a pool just didn't use it I would stay here again

Rooms are very noisy. Could hear neighbors talking till 2 AM and when anyone would close a door, it sounded as though they had entered our room, horrible sleeping conditions for someone wanting a good nights sleep for long days of driving

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The nights were quiet, which was really nice after a full day of motorcycle riding. Our room was nice and had all the conveniences needed. The desk clerks were very polite and made us feel at home. The parking was perfect since we had a trailer for our motorcycle. We had plenty of room to load and unload. Couldn't ask for much more. We will be staying there again on our next trip. Breakfast was offered, but we were meeting up with friends so we ate ... Read more

we stayed on a Friday night for business, no government rate given, when I checked on website price was 72.00 and we had to pay 85.00,she said since it is a weekend it is more, this is false advertising. The front desk assistant was poor, never there, rude and took the breakfast away from the customers. Very poor breakfast, she said the sausage and eggs weren't suppose to be out on the weekends! So we pay more on weekends and get less! Isn't right!

I was pleased with my stay. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but I was happy that it was included for sure--just your simple cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and bagels. The room was nice. Bed was comfy. The only thing I really found odd was they start cleaning the rooms before 9am. Additionally, the wifi would only occasionally work. Sometimes very well, other times, I couldn't even get a page to load. I like to sleep in on my vacation so that was a bit strange. I didn't get a chance to go... Read more

This is the second time in a row we've stayed at your hotel and our room was not picked up, straightened, etc. No new towels, no trash taken out, bed not made up. My husband realized that the dirt in the tub after his showers was from the carpet when he walked in his bare feet! So apparently your hotel does not provide daily cleaning service, nor do you vacuum the floor. I also saw several q tips lying on the floor between the cupboard and the refrigerator. Ick...neither we nor our friends ... Read more

I realize that pet friendly hotels are going to have a certain pet aroma in the hotel but this place reeked of smoke and urine. The room was okay. The hotel may have been pet friendly but not exactly people friendly. And you might want to pick up the litter in and around the property. Overall? Yuck.

Our reserved room was changed to a suite as the last double queen room had flooded. The mgr was very helpful and apologetic but a queen sleeper doesn't equal a queen bed. It was beyond her control and she was very gracious and didn't charge the suite rate so that was appreciated too.

Useable electrical outlets nearly non-existent. No electical outlet by bedside (unless there was one underneath the bedside shelf assebly that could only be reached by kneeling down on the floor; I did not do that nor do I expect to need to at my age). No outlet anywhere near the coffee maker that only has about a 1 foot long cord. The one electrical outlet on the wall opposite the right side foot of the bed was worn out and plug fell out several times. I was concerned that lack of good connect... Read more
