This was my first time staying here and I was very happy. The location is good. Many bars and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel parking per night was very reasonable ($14). The room was clean, nice and perfect for our one night stay. We visit Minneapolis often and I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean and located in the heart of downtown. It is very convenient and staff was very helpful. Our suite had a view, but it was of roof tops. I would inquire about the view if this is of interest. I would stay here again due to cleanliness, location, and friendly staff. Food was expensive, but good. There is plenty to do within walking distance and many great restaraunts to try. Our favorites: Hell's Kitchen for everything, Devil's Advocate for micro beers and good food, Ling and Lo... Read more

The room was perfectly clean, nice view. Hotel staff were courteous. Location is good for bars, restaurants and shopping. Only complaint is that the ice machine on our floor as well as two other floors I tried were not working. Fourth time I tried a floor I had luck.

I stayed at this hotel over a weekend and had wonderful experience. We asked for an early check in and our room was available by 8 am for a $25 upgrade. Definitely worth it as we were exhausted and were able to take a nap and get ready for the day even before the regular check in time. Being a Hilton Honor's member I received a text message letting us know if we need anything to just text our request. Which we did end up asking for a bottle opener and they were up to our room within just a few m... Read more

This is an older but well maintained hotel in downtown Minneapolis, within easy walking distance to restaurants, and close to highway ramps. Rooms are renovated and quite large. Staff was great. There's a restaurant on-site, and a breakfast/coffee kiosk during day hours.

I have used this hotel on several occasions. The location is excellent and the staff extremely accommodating. The fitness center is first rate as are the food selections and restaurant service. Executive lounge has needed amenities although a bit small during peak periods. The location cannot be beaten and importantly (for those cold times in Mn.) you never have to venture outdoors if you do not want to!

I was at the Hilton for a conference. The Hilton was an excellent venue for the conference. From the minute I walked into the hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. My room was a typical Hilton room with a comfy bed with nice linens, very clean, and a decent size. The location of the hotel was perfect for me. It was close to many area restaurants and directly connected to the Skyway. I wasn't familiar with the Skyway so it was really interesting to see how all the buildings in the... Read more

Lots of good options in Minneapolis, but the Hilton was perfectly located just kitty corner from Orchestra Hall. Beautiful lobby and very comfortable rooms. Excellent service at registration, plenty of elevators, pleasant dining room with delicious buffet each morning. Car parking rates weren't exorbitant. If I were forced to find a criticism, I would say the pillow top beds were a little too soft for our tastes, but most people would love them.

We had the opportunity to have a stay at the Hilton Minneapolis for a conference. Everything about this hotel was spot on. We enjoyed a beautiful buffet breakfast every day and for the $20 it was very worth the money. We had a 2 year old with us and whilst she participated in breakfast there was no charge. They also accommodated a cot for her at no charge. Being a member of the HiltonHonours club gave me free wi-fi which was a bonus. Would recommend this to everyone.

Clean, comfortable rooms that have never disappointed with a view of the city. Great service, I have always been greeted with a smile and ease upon check in/check out. Great recommendations for local restaurants and things to see while you are in town. Nice little Starbucks stand in the AM to start your day---and it's always appreciated!

This Hilton is in a great downtown location, very close to the convention center and downtown shopping. The hotel restaurant and bar offerings looked good but we did not eat there so can't comment on that experience. Very friendly welcome and fast check in. This Hilton may be starting to show some age, probably due for a renovation soon. Still a nice hotel.

It's a typical business hotel. Beds, bathrooms, etc all acceptable. There were a number of pillows on each bed, they all seemed too soft for us. As mentioned in other reviews, I also prefer fitted bottom sheets. As soon as I got in bed the sheets pulled loose. One thing I really appreciated- there are not smokers right outside the hotel entrance. An area over 20' from the entrance is set aside with benches and ash trays. The lobby and door staff were all professional and helpful. I was given gre... Read more

Attended a business convention here last week. Hotel located in the center of convention area and plenty of restaurants. I am a Hilton Honors member, yet the Honors desk was not staffed during check in hours until 3PM. Come on, a convention was coming in and people fly in early. Should be someone there all day. We had such a great time at this place last week. The hotel staff was amazing. The room was clean and inviting. We had a business class room....and for a few dollars more...it was worth it. We were on the 21st floor with amazing views of the city. I could not be happier about this place and we will return! WIFI is free with the business class rooms also.

I stay at the Minneapolis Hilton at 1001 Marquette numerous times throughout the year. I am there for business primarily, but when I need a vacation/personal stay - this is still where I stay. Their facility is always in top shape; the staff makes this property a "home away from home"! If you have executive lounge access, Shirley will start your day with a smile that will last the entire day!

The hotel is centrally located in Minneapolis, the area was busy but quiet. I was greeted warmly at check out and the process itself was quick which was wonderful considering I was tired. The room was lovely and what I would expect from a Hilton property. The view from the 22nd floor was a beautiful site. I had dinner at SWL ..it was delicious as was the cocktail I had with it. Took a baseball trip with the guys and stayed at the Hilton, mostly because of the ridiculously low rates. I expected an old, run down property, but that wasn't the case. Grand entranceway with a nice bar area with good food. Rooms were nice. Location was great as well; we took light rail from the airport, and walked about half a mile to the property.

Had early meeting so took early flight arriving at hotel at 9am with wife. Attendant said they would text when room was available. After 3 hours and no text I checked at desk and there was an accessible room ready BUT, since check-in was 3pm, there was a $25 early check-in fee - seriously - even for HHonors members. I have never heard of an early check-in fee (no deduct for early check-out)! The attendant was also somewhat rude. I decided to wait for a regular room. About 1pm, after a 4 hour wai... Read more

We just finished our stay here and found it to be perfect for our needs. We were in town to see a Twins game which was only about a 15 minute walk which was perfect for us. It's not located in the absolute center of the downtown high rises which makes it an easy in and out from the freeway. As a Diamond member, we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite at check in upon request which made for an even better experience. Our corner room on a high floor was roomy and just what we needed for our stay. Really enjoyed our stay. One of the finest Hiltons we have visited. From the moment we arrived we were shown hospitality and a genuine desire to make our stay wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for business and family trips. I also liked being able to order from the hotel restaurant at their coffee/express shop and take the food to my room. This was a great alternative to traditional room service!

Overall it is in a GREAT location and the rooms are clean and nice. The bed is a little hard to my liking and the pillows were flat, but other then that we had a great stay. Highly recommend just parking your own car in the self-parking, it is literally just right around the block and reasonably priced.

Wound up finding a great rate at this hotel and on top of that I signed up for HHonors and got an even better rate. With this we got free Wifi. Hotel is very nice. The lobby is beautiful and rooms are nice. Pool was warm and taken care of and the workout area was very nice. Workout area location was nice because you could watch the kids while you work out. We loved staying downtown so this location also helped. The staff were friendly but the front desk seemed stressed at times.

No complaints. Hotel is in a good location. Pretty much exactly what you would expect from a downtown Hilton. There was some sort of video game conference going on in their convention center, so the lobby and other public areas were kind of crowded at times.

They did switch out the room quickly--Internet service kept logging you off. The first room smelled like marijuana and stinky shoes. The internet connection was difficult to log in to and kept logging you off. Even when in the meeting rooms it was essential to our meeting and made it difficult with the speed and logging off issue. The food was great, the bar was great, the location was perfect and overall hotel was clean.

I stayed at the Hilton 7/16/16 after seeing all the great reviews! I found a deal on hotel tonight.com for $150 when it is usually a lot more for a weekend night. The lobby is beautiful, very clean and is connected to a skyway. There is also a restaurant within the hotel called skyward but they don't have a big selection of food so we did not eat there. The food was awful and the room service menu was extremely limited. Hotel overall was clean and what you would expect for the Hilton. Based on location and cleanliness of the h... Read more

Great location, out of the cold wind, good food, friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. We go for a church convention every year and often stay here. Everything you would want is right there. We often stay over for a day or two on the town. It is so nice. We always feel welcome.

Professional and helpful staff. Updated and quiet rooms, very comfortable and clean. Surprisingly short waits for the elevators even though it was busy. Room service was not available during afternoon, starting at 5pm.

We stayed at this property for two nights. The location of the hotel was great and despite needing some updates, the hotel was very clean. The only reason that I am giving this hotel such a poor rating is specifically because of its customer service or lack thereof. I did not feel that this hotel was congruent with the more familiar Hilton brand of creating great customer experiences and going the extra mile. Frankly, the bare minimum customer service skills were not met and I did not feel like ... Read more

The hotel is within the elevated walking paths throughout downtown Minneapolis, so it is a very convenient place to stay if you need to be downtown. There were plenty of places to eat that cater to almost any taste within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. As I was in need of advice and directions several times, the staff were very friendly and easy to approach. I would stay there again.

Location downtown is fantastic. So many things are close by. Lobby is a little dated, but clean. Seemed like there was a conference or a party that day because the lobby was ruckus and crowded (and somewhat drunken). Check in experience fell short of expectations. I waited in line for just over 30 minutes to check in. Where I'm from, I have come to expect that during peak times it would be all hands on deck ~ or all hands on desk per se. Other hotel chains I frequently stay at will have all th... Read more

I come to Minneapolis every year in October and stay here. I've been doing so for nearly 25 YEARS. The Hilton was always nice--but in recent years started sliding downhill in every way. THIS YEAR? The hotel itself was great (NOT) except (!@#$)for a room mixup placing me at the noisiest area of the floor after THREE calls to be SURE I had a QUIET room due to being a light sleeper--and I was assured everything was fine.... not too clean bathroom I cleaned myself to remove unmentionables from the a... I stayed here for multiple nights during a convention (and have stayed here before and come to Minn regularly). Biggest issue on last trip was I ordered room service one evening, left tray outside, and not only was it still there the next morning but the next evening as well. (By the way, there were dirty plates/glasses left at the elevator trash bin on my floor after I checked in already and they were still there too). I called to notify housekeeping and a few hours later it was still there. W... Read more

Spent four nights here for a recent conference. The staff here is amazing! From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out, the staff was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed in that staff texted me multiple times to see how my stay was going. The room and conference facilities were also excellent. I traveled for two nights on business and was very happy with the hotel. The lobby was gorgeous, and the lobby bar had great drinks and an eclectic selection of local drafts. The hotel location is fine, and there are lots of nearby restaurants, though the hotel has excellent room service if you are stuck in with work. The neighborhood is not the most vibrant but you are certainly not in a wasteland. Though there are certainly more fun neighborhoods closer to the colleges. The room was b... Read more

Short stay over the weekend. Very pleased with the hotel. Well located downtown. It's conveniently close to the Light Rail line, and there are a wealth of restaurants within walking distance. Parking is the only drawback. Self-park is a bit inconvenient and Valet Parking is pretty steep.

The staff is very friendly/helpful, and the hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are clean, the views from the top are fantastic - beautiful sunsets and dawns, if you catch them. They have a buffet breakfast for $20 which is very good - we had a stay and eat package so it was included. The fitness room is awesome - Precor ellipticals/treadmills/bikes, free weights, medicine balls, weight machines - a comprehensive gym. And a small lap pool and hot tub. What more can you ask for. So, I was staying for a business meeting over 2 days that was held at the hotel and all of the facilities were very good. The room was very nice. Some of the issues I had: I forgot my phone charger and asked the front desk upon arrival and was told there were none but a store was nearby, so I went there and bought one, came back to my room and found there was a charger there built into the alarm clock and then later I found another down by the front desk; also and probably somewhat unusual, I ne... Stayed there on the 4th of November. Most of the room looked OK but the bathroom had not been cleaned very well. Hair in the bathtub makes one question the rest of the bathroom. Due to time crunch could not wait for housekeeping to come back. Upon reporting problem, was offered free appetizers after 5PM (would be long gone to an early wedding.) or 2 free breakfasts (already had reservations elsewhere). Not a very adequate response. I stayed here for two nights while attending a conference. My room was a standard Hilton room - clean and comfortable. My limited interaction with the staff were friendly and helpful. I had free internet through my conference, and the speed was adequate for my needs. The location is pretty good. There seemed to be a good selection of restaurants within 2-4 blocks. I walked from the light rail station, and it was about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall, a pleasant and uneventful stay.

Like other hotels in this class, rather pricy. However, signing up for the "concierge floor" was a great bargain for us as a couple-great breakfast bar with pleasant staff and good coffee. All day access to soft drinks, coffee, small group meetings, and relaxation. Good beds, good linens, great views, great location. Look for off-season deals for a better price. Beats Hyatt where concierge service dies Friday afternoon and is gone for the weekend.

Stayed at the hotel for a large conference, everything was perfect, and with the Sky way system, no need to pack a coat around to go out for lunch or visit a convenience store. Like all downtown hotels, it was pricey, but the service and the staff know the area so everyone is eager to get you to the floor, room, or salon you need to go. It is not intuitive how to navigate between hotel, convention center, and the other properties in the skyway system, but just about every staff member could give... Read more

The Hilton Minneapolis was a nice comfortable stay for a convention. Short distance through skyway to the convention center and multiple restaurants and bars within a few blocks. The concierge service wAs the poorest Of ant hotel I have stayed in. The food was terrible and limited, rarely offering in the evening even such inexpensive items as crudités. Often the food was quickly gone, and replacements took a while to arrive. Overall quality of concierge? Terrible. Not worth the money. Worst of any hotel.

Myself and a few friends visited Minneapolis for the Paisley Park tour. This hotel was a great home base, and the staff was very accommodating as they allowed us to upgrade our room midway through the stay. A huge plus for me was the sauna. The sauna is huge and is old-school style with a water bucket and a ladle for pouring water onto the rocks. Needless to say, it got really hot! Rooms and grounds were all very nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
