Hampton Inn has a reputation for delivering nice, clean rooms at a decent price, and that was certainly the case for the downtown Minneapolis location. The hotel was built very recently and has a cool modern design, with retro furnishings and window treatments, which we thought looked pretty neat. The Skyway access was a great bonus. It's not just for avoiding the cold Minnesota winters, it's also handy for walking downtown on rainy days. The complimentary breakfast is nothing fancy, but it's ni... Read more

We stayed here for a family trip to the city. We loved the proximity to the Target Center. The hotel was clean and the staff was really kind and helpful. The breakfast was really nice, which for a family of four really adds value to the room price. We will definitely stay here again. One word of caution, it was loud on the street after shows were done.

The Hampton Inn in downtown Minneapolis is a SUPER spot. It is on the skyway to the Target Field and lots of shopping areas. We asked for places to lounge with appetizers and were given a couple options within walking distance. Every place we ate at as suggested by the front desk was right on DELICIOUS and great atmospheres, and not too expensive. This hotel is in the RIGHT place. We will definitely stay here again and suggest it to others who are venturing to the Twin Cities.

We recently stayed at the sparkling and amazing new Hampton Inn & Suites in Minneapolis and loved our total experience! When we pulled our car alongside the hotel to register, we met Chris, who was so very helpful, and took care of our car while we registered, and then made recommendations for restaurants, theaters, etc nearby, and also how we could access the car park connected to the hotel (which was perfectly accessible to the hotel via the Skywalk). This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown, and is attached to the SkyWalk, which made getting around very convenient. It was also near Target Field, Nicollet Mall, and other local attractions. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only real complaint is that we were away from the room from 8:00am until 4:00pm, and our room hadn't been cleaned during that time. The weather was very pleasant during our two day stay that we walked outside most of the time and the walk to the rail station was only a few blocks. The rooms are clean, new and comfortable. A top notch Hampton in that regard. The location is convenient to anything in downtown. Lots of restaurants are in walking distance. However, there seems to be a lot of loitering going on downtown and that can be a bit uncomfortable. My wife is convinced she heard gunshots outside during the night of our stay.

The hotel was average, but the staff was always friendly and helpful. The area is "up and coming" and you saw a lot of interesting people in the neighborhood. There was plenty of food and drinks in walking distance, and you can connect to all of the buildings through the sky walk (which is a huge deal in the Twin Cities). My husband and I stayed here on a Wednesday and Thursday evening as part of a large group attending a Vikings game. It was impeccable and the service was excellent. The room we wete in was modern an very comfortable. The fitness room had a lot to offer and was clean. The breakfast was extensive and the service was welcoming and gracious. We would love to stay here again.
