Roxanne and most all the staff were great!! We stayed in room 310. Lake view and balcony !! Breakfast is usual type fare--scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins but they have fresh fruit in addition to yogurt and fruit cocktail. Coffee 24/7 is excellent. Walk to Lake street restaurants and shops over very cool lift bridge. We accidentally left food in fridge. Unopened smoked fish and cheese. David from staff very unfriendly and uncaring when I called to inquire a few hours after we checked ... Read more

Looked for a hotel for under 159.00 a night. This place was perfect, just a short walk across bridge to Canal Street. Perfect then we didn't have to have a dd to drive us back to hotel. Very clean and nice breakfast. Didn't use the pool but it looked really nice.

We were on a girls trip with my mom, aunt, and cousin and spent one night here. Hotel is clean, nice new and cozy decor, great breakfast and the staff is awesome. I had a hard time sleeping and woke up very early , Jamin (sorry if I spelled that wrong) who was working overnight was kind enough to make me fresh coffee while I relaxed in front if the fireplace. The room and location were perfect for all four of us, highly recommend this place to anyone staying in duluth.

we had reservations for a room with a queen size bed. We were so disappointed when we walked in to this corner room that was so small. I did call front desk & they did move us to a larger room. Very clean. We didn't like the location as far as getting across the bridge sometime we would have a long wait. Depending on the time of day!

Pool, sauna & hot tub were great! Breakfast was just ok but provided. Close proximity to lift bridges& waterfront area. Be sure you find out about the boats coming & going as this is a highlight of the area to see the lift bridge in action! Also see the Glensheen home for the historical perspective!

This was our second stay at this hotel. This hotel is a new hotel with great views of the city or lake side with a nice balcony. The hotel itself has upgraded amenities and everything is fresh and clean like our first stay a year ago. The hot tub and pool area is just as nice and relaxing. They have great breakfast options and a very friendly and helpful staff that kept it cleaned and stocked. We will definitely continue to stay here in future trips.

Enjoyed their clean, comfortable room and very nice bed/pillows. Hot tub was nice and hot, breakfast was quite good. Staff assisted in special motorcycle parking space right up front. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveling home from cabin way up Northern Mn and stopped to sight see in Duluth. Our view was of the lift bridge but it was a cold a rainy day so only shopped in Canal area and ate lunch. Breakfast at hotel was included and good. Staff was super friendly.

We enjoyed our recent stay. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Room was clean and welcoming. Located just the other side of the lift bridge, we were close enough for easy access to all the Canal Park attractions yet far enough away from the busy areas to be able to relax. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved this hotel- great location and close to the lakefront without paying the steep prices of staying in the Canal. Typical breakfast- nothing spectacular but fortifies you enough until your next meal. The deck on our room overlooked where the Coast Guard parks their ship. It was a little too cool for us to sit outside on the deck but it's a nice space. Love the little island- there is a wonderful park at the end of the island. Also, within seconds of the lift bridge and you could walk to the... Read more

We had an excellent stay at Park Point Marina Inn. It was a good choice staying at this hotel on Thursday June 23, 2016- June 24, 2016. Everything in walking distance from the hotel, they have a shuttle too. It is 3 minutes walk from Downtown Duluth tourist area and Aerial Lift Bridge. Impressive view, every room has a balcony, with a nice table and chairs. They have a fire pit you can enjoy and nice terrace next to it. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was so impressive. Staff kept everythin... Read more

Our room had a balcony and there was a fire pit to sit by and look out into Lake Superior's harbor. Great places to be with your beverage of choice.

My return visit to the Park Point Marina Inn was as comfortable and enjoyable as my first. The staff were courteous and helpful, the room was very clean, the bed extremely cozy, and the view from the balcony overlooked a marina and the nearby Coast Guard location. The Inn makes a conscientious effort to be eco-friendly and I appreciated that.

The hotel is located on a fun spit of land just off the main tourist area in Duluth. You may have to wait for the lift bridge, and depending on the size of the boat(s) traveling through, it can take awhile, but that's one of the things that makes the area fun. Check in was great, staff were friendly the whole time we were there. We were lucky to get a room on the top floor with a harbor view. All rooms seem to have a balcony that is very comfortable for two, and three or four if you bring chair... Read more

This was our best hotel stay of our trip! The rooms were immaculate. High 12' ceilings made this room feel very spacious. The king size bed was very comfortable. Our room was on the first floor, but had a balcony area that looked out into the harbor in Duluth and Lake Superior. The location of the hotel was pretty good as well. It was within walking distance to many attractions and bars/eateries located on South Lake Avenue just a few blocks away. WE definitely enjoyed our stay here. Als... Read more

We stayed on the third floor. We were upgraded when we arrived from a room with two queens and a balcony to a suite. It was lovely. The rooms are clean. We looked out onto the water and could still see the city a bit too. It was the best of both worlds. The balcony was wonderful. We sat out there in the evening and the morning. The staff was delightful. The food was delicious and the hotel was QUIET. We walked to Canal Park a couple times, it was only 5 blocks. We would stay here again.

Beautiful views of harbor (half of rooms). Everything in room was nice/clean/updated. Pool was tiny, but adequate even for our large group of youth soccer players. Fridge in room was great. The building overall is small compared to much larger hotel properties in the area. Our group liked the small size, as it was easy to run to the room for forgotten items, etc. Nice outdoor firepit area. One minor complaint - get rid of the iHome clocks. They are secured so you cannot reset the time (the but... Read more

This still new-feeling hotel is a gem. So many neat touches--the best of them all the visual reminders that you're at the wonderful North Shore. Better-than-average wall art, windows overlooking the maritime sky and yacht-filled harbor and all the various sea-hued materials and patterns. Really a rich feel to the bathrooms, carpets, chairs, etc., especially for this price point. As many have noted, the breakfast is quite a good deal--much more extensive than even a year ago, we noticed. The best... Read more

I believe this is one of the best hotels for" customer service with a smile" ! We didn't have gigantic problems needing sorting, but just needing directions and help with connecting to internet in the room plus explanations of general operations. A daily newspaper was always ready, coffee was always available and staff was hard working and ever vigilant. Breakfast offerings had great variety and hot food was prepared well to stay hot. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I decided to try an easier way to watch the fireworks this year. We got a lovely room on the top floor that had a great view of the fireworks display over Lake Superior. We had a great experience, sitting on our bacons, dipping wine and eating hot dogs with a spectacular view of the fireworks. It's going to be a new family tradition!

We enjoyed our stay. Great Breakfast to start the day! We watched big tankers and sailboats from our room! Very Cool! With the Harbor view room you can not see the Lift Bridge. It was a close walk to the shops and restaurants. Plus they have a shuttle that brings you over and back!

Beautiful view of the marina from our balcony on the second floor. Close to Canal Park. Had a quiet stay. Only complaint was spotty Wi-Fi. Aerial bridge from Canal Park was fun to watch. When we were there, it rained and gave a double rainbow over the harbor.

Located across the Areal Lift Bridge, this hotel offers very nice accommodations. It's uniquely nestled in the marina on the harbor side of the lake and provides a quieter, away from the all the tourists vibe. That said, it's very close to the action by a quick 10-15 walk to the canal or via the transportation provided by the hotel throughout the day and every hour at night. The pool checks the list for having a pool however it isn't too special. The morning breakfast is a standard hotel buf... Read more

This was a great hotel, right by the pier. We had a balcony view that overlooked Duluth ships coming in. We heard the boats as they passed the Aerial Bridge. It was exciting to see the street level rise up and let the boats pass through. It's so close by you could walk up there and see the street level rise up close. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony as the sunset. I also enjoyed getting up at 5:40 am to see the sun rise as well. It was so beautiful. I didn't know there was so much history in Du... Read more

We came to the Park Point Mariana Inn after having stayed on a church basement floor for three nights previous. While we would have welcomed any bed... we arrived and were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who upgraded us upon our check in! We found our room to be spacious, clean and it didn't smell like a hotel...it smelled fresh. Call me crazy for noticing that, but I thought it was a nice touch to the rooms smell fresh! ??? We spent a night at this hotel and were very pleased with the room, location, breakfast, and courteous staff!! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the free shuttle service. The breakfast went way beyond the typical hotel breakfast. It was wonderful being right by the marina and, although we took the free shuttle to canal park, we made the short walk back and enjoyed the scenery along the way.

Loved the room, felt clean, great toiletries, hated the pillows (bring your own- ouch! my neck hurt the next morning). I would recommend this hotel- the staff was excellent (best I've experienced in years!) and they have a shuttle to bring you over the bridge near the action. This hotel is in a great location.
