Stayed for 2 nights for business. The hotel gives off an office building feel, but rooms are still comfortable. The hotel is probably more of a destination for business travelers and company meetings/ corporate team building anyway, rather than a getaway for family relaxation. There is direct access to nice trails from the back of the hotel, so it's great for those looking to take a walk/run, though it was a bit too cold for me during this particular trip. The room is equipped with a good s... Read more

Hola all, I worked a 4 day/3 night conference here for the second time and it was even better than the first. Don't let the industrial-like front entrance deter you from what awaits inside. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure our team had everything we needed, checked in to if there was something they could help with and made our conference logistically flawless. The food is out of this world! Tons of healthy options on the salad bar, gluten free and vegan options and the snacks are ou... Read more

Very clean, quiet. Friendly front desk personnel. Close to many activities. Landscaping looked nice. Good parking. Food (breakfast) good at restaurant with a good variety. Vending machines were a little expensive.

I can't imagine a more inspiring and beautiful surrounding for a conference. From the grand reception area, to the meeting rooms, dinning and overnight accommodations, all of our participants felt the serenity of the woods, water and care of the staff. Beautifully maintained from walking paths to fire pits to meeting rooms ‚?? the value to preserve excellence is apparent. There will be no disappointment with the break out‚??s refreshments, scrumptious lunches and dinners ‚?? where stations of... Read more

We just stayed at this hotel this past week-end for 2 nights as part of a large group of antique car lovers for a car show. Wonderful service and a very pretty hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I love the fact that there is a separate sink outside the bathroom, it sure helps when both my husband and I are getting ready in the a.m. As some others have commented in past reviews the outside is unusual, it might have been a medical site at one time, but they have reused the space w... I attended a three day conference at Oak Ridge and was very impressed. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. At once point I had to call for tech help when I got into a problem with my computer and the hotel's sound and video system. They sent people immediately to help me who figured out and solved the problem in time for the presentation to start on time. They had little amenities that made things more special like a salt scrub for your hands in... Read more

This hotel has a good location for where we were visiting. Close enough to the "city" that we went into Mall of America one day and didn't have to drive too far. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but it does have a cute little bar, and a lake out back you can walk around. We didn't eat there, and there are other activities to do during the day that we didn't do. Overall a nice hotel of the money.

This hotel has nice conference facilities and great food. However, the exterior is very institutional and looks to be an old nursing home or boarding school or something. The rooms really need an update. Ok for a company off-site meeting location.

We ended up staying here because Minneapolis hotels seemed all booked. We were heading out west to S Dakota anyway, so we were fine with the location. We were already past Sioux Falls, S Dakota when we realized we left our jackets in the closet. We called and they shipped our jackets to my office in San Francisco. We are very grateful!

My son and I recently stayed here for one night as we had a mini vaca. The property in which this hotel sits upon is immaculate and beautiful. You wouldn't know you were in the middle of a city! The staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and perfect for the two of us. I'd highly recommend this hotel for the savvy travel or for the family who would like to enjoy their walking trail with tons of nature to see along the way.

Once an American Express training center, this conference hotel appear a bit institutional upon approach. It is an excellent place to stay for an business overnight or a conference/event. A bit off the beaten path, it's worth seeking out. Interior is glass walled to take in the 100 acres outside. Gardens, outdoor fire pits, sports for the kiddies, but no pool. Lovely restaurant, large bar with very friendly service throughout. Large queen room with high ceilings and views to the outdoors, was co... Read more

Absolutely Superb! I I thought the hotel was beautiful. In the evening I ran around the lake outback through some really nice trail. I had an excellent breakfast at their restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. I would recommend staying at Oak Ridge. The rates are low when it's not busy.

When we first drove up to the place we didn't think it was a motel. Found out it was a motel and conference center. The room we had was very nice and the beds really comfortable. We had the buffet for breakfast and it was excellent. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area,

My fiancé and I stayed here for a retreat after a fun night at the casino. It was the most quiet, peaceful, comforting stay and came with an affordable price. First off we weren't so sure we were even at a hotel by the looks at it from outside as we approached. But we went in and found the lobby to be very clean and were greeted with friendly knowledgeable staff. We found the urge to explore a bit before going to our room being that the building was quite different than your run of the mill ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel and conference center because my wife was attending a conference there. The hotel and grounds were located well off the highway in a private setting next to a small lake. The lobby was very wide open in terms of floor plan and there were large windows overlooking the back of the property and the lake. The rooms were well away from any of the conference areas making them a quiet place to relax. They were laid out comfortably with nice plush bedding. There was a desk ... Read more

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel for a family wedding. As you take the scenic drive to the hotel it doesn't feel like you are actually at a hotel. Beautiful grounds, 1 mile+ walking trail around the lake, nicely sized bedroom, attractive foyer and seating area, very attentive staff, exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Wonderful food and it was an awesome place for a wedding! There is not a swimming pool, but there is an basketball court, volleyball net, sauna and an exerci... Read more

Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. No pool. Overpriced. They have fire pits with wood set up around the grounds. They don't allow carry ins and they charge $150 to have a fire and only supply a pack of wood that you could burn in less then an hour.

There were 5 weddings the weekend we were there. So tons of people and lots of space for people to commune. The rooms are so small. No king beds. The suites are only one bedroom. They desperately need some dehumidifiers. The floor rugs were all damp and it smelled horrible all over. My sister had one pillow that she wanted no one to touch so she lodged it in her suitcase. They went in the suitcase and pulled it out and put it in the bed. Gross. While convenient, I would find something else ... Read more

My spouse and I purchased an evening at the "Chef's Table with Chef Virgil" at a charity auction this past summer. We used it this past week. To say it was amazing, would be an understatement. From the time we entered the establishment to the time we were escorted out by the Chef, it was simply amazing. The Chef prepared a 6 course meal for the six of us (family included). The meal was seriously the best food I've had in my life. Add to it the personalized service and just how nice everyone w... Read more

Spent a long weekend at this hotel for a meeting. It isn't "close" to anything, but that is OK if you are there for a meeting. Fairly modern hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and reasonably spacious, but getting " a little age" on it. My room seemed very humid- not sure if it was that room or the area in general. We were on a dining plan, and the food and food choices were quite good.

Oak Ridge was our local family's chosen site for a family reunion in wonderful Chaska. The center is maintained extremely well, lovely setting, with gracious public areas and lots of nooks for conversations. The impressive staff was responsive and very helpful as we set up for family functions or had sleeping room needs. Front desk and catering staff especially demonstrate their experience working with groups of all sizes. Our meals were planned buffet style in the general dining room, or as a... Read more

We made a reservation online as part of a wedding block. When we arrived at the hotel they had no reservation under our name and accused us of not finalizing the reservation. We were able to get a room there for the night but at a higher rate than we were supposed to pay as part of the block of rooms. I thought maybe we had made a mistake until we got to the wedding and found out this happened to several people also attending the wedding. Other problems included a wedding (not the one we wer...
