We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza Chain many times and are usually a nice place to stay. This particular location was different and not what we expected. The carpet in our room was stained with huge spots of what looked like motor oil. There were a large number of peewee hockey players. We called the desk numerous times and nothing was done. When we tried to talk to a manager he seemed very unconcerned. Just a quick "sorry" and walked away. I wasn't expecting a refund but a sincere apology woul... Read more

This hotel also seems to be calling itself the "Crowne Plaza AiRe MSP Airport/Mall of America." Here's the good stuff... (1) from the airport you can hop on the light rail Blue Line and go 1 stop (from Humphrey Terminal) or 2 stops (from Lindbergh Terminal) and get off at 34th/American and you'll be just a half a block from the hotel lobby; (2) they also run hotel shuttles to the airport every half hour; (3) they have suites that are big, clean, and a reasonable price; (4) the bed was very comf... I travel every week and this hotel graced me with the worst experience of my life. First room, bugs. Not sure what type but they said 'lady bugs' which was a crock. They were between the duvet and sheet cover. As a spire elite (highest possible rating member), I would have expected a decent effort to fix the issue. They gave me a different room, and that one had bugs too. Not sure what they were, but they looked to be either lice or fleas. The GM, who was about as useful as a sack of rocks never... Read more

We stayed here one night to make a connection to Paris. There were no unpleasant surprises, and a few pleasant ones. We were upgraded to a suite size room, and it was a pleasant layout. The bed and pillow were comfortable. Because we were IHG members, they gave us coupons for breakfast and designer coffee in the lobby. Transportation to and from the airport was seamless. We would stay again based on this experience.

Our stay wasn't great. The rooms seemed tired and just very average. We are Platinum Elite members but the lounge is closed on the weekend. Our perk was a free drink in the lounge. After shopping very late, the hotel bar was really the only option for food. The pizza we ordered was actually very good, but service was very very slow. We were in elevator #2 with 7 others and suddenly it jerked to a stop. We used the emergency button to call and the front desk called the engineer to help us. We ... Read more

My family stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights on a road trip. For the price, this was a very nice place. The beds were probably the best I've slept on in a hotel room. The room looked very nice, too. There were photos of the city on the walls, rather than the usual drab abstract prints or floral paintings. It was kind of odd to me that there were only a handful of fridges for the whole hotel. You had to call and request one for your room and see if any were available. The bathroom... Read more

Booked this hotel as an alternative to the expensive weekend rates downtown Minneapolis. Overall, I was left with a so-so impression of the hotel. The price paid for the amount of room received was fair. I booked a suite that had a separate sitting area on a high floor. The layout was up to date. The Restaurant and the room service was just and extra treat to have taken advantage of. Really easy to take the train to down Minneapolis it was a slam dunk on this stay. The location to the airport and the Mall of America is great. The rooms are clean. My only complaint about my room is that all the towels were stacked on the back of the toilet? The vanity was SUPER small and barely held my cosmetic bag. The restaurant was great. The service is awesome. There is a shuttle to the airport and MOA.

We recently brought our Luther College Soccer team to participate in the NCAA National Tournament and we had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Crowne Plaza. The staff was amazingly accommodating to our group as we had bus troubles each day while on our stay and the staff was able to still provide a great experience for our student athletes. The staff was professional and hospitable throughout the weekend. I would highly recommend staying here with groups. Thanks for a wonderful stay!! Th... Read more

My grand daughter and I stayed here overnite Nov. 11. The king room was updated as well as the great bathroom, walk in glassed shower! We requested away from elevators and 2nd or 3rd floor, done! Lobby was well done, mirrors, fire, fruit on the table, plenty of seating. Price was reasonable for a king, $108 included tax and buffet breakfast...let me tell you about breakfast...large fresh raspberries, and blackberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, pineapple, all fresh homemade yogurt as well as packag... I want to give a shout out to the girl at the front desk that was working Monday afternoon! Every hotel needs someone as friendly and caring as her! I was taken to the wrong hotel and she paid to have a taxi driver take me to the correct hotel! That's what I call service...I have never received such great service with out being a guest there! Keep up the good work I wish I would have got your name.

My wife and I stayed here over this past week8yend for a nice little vacation. Its a nice hotel with a great location. Quick, easy 2 minute drive to the Mall of America or there is a train right there if you want to go into Minneapolis. The staff was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and actually came with a fridge which you don't see much anymore it seems like. The pool and hot tub were nice and big. Our only complaint was that the tv signal was nonexistent ... We arrived late and thankfully only the hotel was only a short trip from the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable and the price was reasonable. Be sure you take your room key with you to the parking garage. You need it to enter hotel.

My experience started with a warm quick shuttle to the hotel , Have to give credit to the driver of the bus .... kept his cool dealing with a less than professional pilot for American Airline who could not wait for other customers to arrive . Warm welcome at front desk thanks Darnel . Caribou coffee was a great suprise in the morning, David was quick , friendly and personable. Brian at the front desk was great with every guest that he encounters. Will stay with this Crowne again.
